Such a joyous occasion was hosted at this cozy, newly remodeled and trendy restaurant/banquet hall. Hooray!!! My cousin and his wife had their “baby boy shower” at this location. It was a good choice and we had a blast. Newly remodeled and reopened under new ownership, this place has two banquet halls for all occasions. If you planned on having private parties, huge wedding or just a table for two they would accommodate. According to Russian and Armenian traditions: good & tasty food (tons of it)and drinks for everyone always a must. Honestly, food was very delicious, fresh and of course, tons of it. We had 3 types of salads. Arugula with beef tongue, shredded beets and carrots mixed with avocado oil, spinach and kale with nuts and cranberries. Than appetizers: shrimp cocktails, seafood delight, blinchik (crapes rolled with ground beef and fried) black & red caviar. For the main course: beef, chicken and pork bbq, rice pilaf, steak cut fries and salmon fillet. Waiters were excellent: polite, very professional and delightful. The dessert table, which was tastefully decorated (had to give credits to my cousins friend, who actually threw the baby shower for them) had the yummiest cake, cupcakes, Jell-O shots and chocolate “favors” Also you had an option of either live music, DJ or your iPod music (your own music idea works with smaller groups) Great place for great occasions, great food and great ambiance.

Sam’s Club Bakery – Menu with Prices – 4763 W E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee

Thank you very much to the one who corresponds.

Rebekah’s Sweetart Cakes – Menu with Prices – 216 Port Royal Dr, Savannah

After getting a recommendation from a family member, I called Rebekah and asked her to make a baby shower cake for my grandson’s baby shower. I sent her a picture of what I had in mind. She was very friendly and helpful. The cake was ready when she said it would be. I was overwhelmed with emotion when I saw the cake. It was absolutely adorable and exactly what I wanted! Everyone at the shower just loved the cake. Not only was it adorable, it was absolutely DELICIOUS too! I will definitely be using Rebekah’s Sweetart again in the future and will highly recommend her to others! Thank you so much!

Miyabi Jr. Express – Menu with Prices – 508 N McPherson Church Rd, Fayetteville

I really wish I could give them 5 stars because typically the food is really good as well as the service, but lately they have been purposefully stealing money from their customers. We order the same thing every single time. A fillet bowl. If we order the fillet bowl and eat at the restaurant, it?s correct. If we order it to go, which we do often, they always give us regular steak. Which is cheaper. We have complained at least 6 times and they always apologize and remake the food. But today, the manager on duty argued that it was in fact fillet when it absolutely was not and refused to remake the food. When you eat something enough, you know the difference. It?s extremely disappointing because we love this place but simply will not continue to support a business that steals from their customers.

Sweet Eats Ocala – Menu with Prices – 6797 Hemlock Rd, Ocala

So amazing! I live in NY and wasn’t privy to any cake makers in town so upon a friend’s recommendation, I contacted Sweet Eats. I am SO glad I did. The safari cake she made for the baby shower I was throwing was absolutely adorable and incredibly tasty. Everyone raved about it and it was legitimately the star of the shower! I am throwing another shower in a month and guess who I’m having do the cake?! Sweet Eats of course! I strongly recommend.

Blue Fin Billiards – Menu with Prices – 4113 W Swift Ave #103, Fresno

They have a nice bottled beer selection. I had a Luponic Distortion; my wife had a Lagunitas IPA. The newly remodeled restrooms look great and are well maintained. Our bartender was attentive and friendly. There was some great (and some not-so-great) 80s music playing on the Touch Tunes jukebox. There was some league play (this was on Saturday afternoon), so it was busy, but not crowded and everyone seemed generally friendly and considerate. The only negative is that it was hot. Not unbearable, but we only stayed an hour. My wife would have stayed and kicked my arse at 9-ball all afternoon had it been a little cooler. As it was, we played a race to 4 and she took the match 4-1. Admittedly, It was a 100+ degree day in Fresno, but we have at least a month of those a year, so that could use some work.

Bistro Nomad – Menu with Prices – 1430 Locust St, Des Moines

This place has a perfect spot with a perfect view of the Sculpture Park and with it’s huge windows, it’s perfect to do a little people watching safe inside the restaurant. They have the perfect decor and live music playing so that definitely zhoosh it up a little. The drinks we ordered came out just perfect and not greedy with the alcohol and our waitress greeted right as we sat down. We ordered a few appetizers, Fries with Aioli sauce and some Hummus. I’ll say this… the fries were on the “To Share” section of the menu and let’s be real they definitely weren’t. I could probably get 2 orders and still wouldn’t be enough for me. I won’t knock off any points as I think the aioli was great but come on… a little more on the plate would be nice too. If you love mediterranean you’ll love this place. I got the Tomato Roasted Cod and it was perfectly tomato-y. Of course I’m that guy at our table who has to taste all my friends’ food so going around I think the Salmon is where it’s at. It was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. Also the marinated leg of lamb was something I really enjoyed and almost had food envy, not that my food was not great but that lamb was juicy. Next time I come back, I really want to try to the octopus. Don’t mean to brag but I’ve been to Greece and that’s pretty much all I ate when I was there so I have pretty high standards for it. I say this place is nice to even just go for drinks and live music. I don’t know if they actually have a live band every night but I’ve been there twice and they did those two nights.

Salvadorian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 580 W Arapaho Rd #241, Richardson

This “easy to miss” restaurant is located in a plaza that doesn’t have much going on. The restaurant has two seating areas. One of the areas looks like it is used for events. The tables in this area had linens on it and the chairs were decorated. It looked like a baby shower was taking place in that room while I was there. I believe they also use this room as an overflow room for the main part of the restaurant. The customer service was great. Despite the language barrier between my party and some of the waiters, we were still accommodated and felt comfortable during our visit. The food was delicious and the portions are huge. There only con was lack of cleanliness. It wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t clean…you know what I mean. Otherwise, I would recommend this place. It was my first time trying El Salvadorian food and I’m officially a fan until further notice.

Stone House Step Back In Time – Menu with Prices – 4753 W Lake Rd, Erie

Hosted a bridal shower here. Very difficult to get in touch with someone to discuss details (menu, time, etc). Staff was upset that we started decorating 1hr before the shower and seemed annoyed when we would ask questions about table usage (gift table, dessert table etc). We had to ask for the floor to be swept. They would not provide water on the tables because they claimed they didn’t have enough water glasses. The main meal was cold when it should’ve been served warm. They rushed us out when the shower was over, and had no bags or boxes for a few leftovers which seems unusual for a restaurant. The inside is extremely cute and nicely decorated and would probably be great just to go for lunch, but it doesn’t seem they are properly prepared to host events.

Ford’s Garage Kissimmee – Menu with Prices – 3210 Margaritaville Blvd, Kissimmee

I had an excellent meal here. It was National Cheeseburger day and that sounded good. I had previously been to a Ford’s Garage in Tampa area and had a great burger. I brought my parents along. We had a great server named Kevin, he was attentive and always made sure we were taken care of. I started with a Pumpkinhead beer. They do it right by putting a rim of cinnamon sugar on the glass. It’s the little things. We started off with the GIANT FUNNEL TOWER OF JUMBO PISTON ONION RINGS. They were crispy on the outside and the onion on the inside was firm not mushy. They had a nice flavor that was not too sweet like some onion rings. They were also very hot and were not sitting around. I like how they are served on an oil funnel. I tried there new seasonal burger, it was an Australian Wagyu Beef Spicy burger. I subbed out the standard bun for a pretzel bun. This burger was awesome. The Wagyu beef does make a difference. It has more flavor and is tender. The burger was topped with fried jalapeños, a spicy sauce and Pepper-jack cheese. This was very filling and probably one of the best burgers I have had recently. They do not do regular fries. They serve Potato wedges and they are seasoned nicely and go well with the chipotle ketchup that is served with the onion rings. My mom had a Chop Shop Salad with Salmon. This salad is huge and they can swap the lettuce mix for romaine. The salmon that is added on is a 6 oz fillet. My mom ate half and took half home for lunch the next day. My dad had a Mushroom Swiss burger that was perfect. Overall a great meal and well done. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Haute Quarter Grill Menu with Prices 525 W 4th Ave, Anchorage

My fiancé and I had never been to Haute Quarter Grill and decided we would try it on our anniversary. It did not disappoint! We arrived to a table set with candles and confetti to celebrate our day, followed by outstanding and personable service from Jeff. The food was sublime. We started with Caesar and Maytag bleu cheese salads. I had the blackened prime rib with a Cajun creole sauce, which was fantastic–but I soon had major ordering regrets when my guy had his fillet special delivered to the table. The fillet was so tender, he literally cut it with a fork! Asparagus for both of us, cooked to perfection. Amazing sauces for the meat. Great drinks–and did I mention the service? This was a great ‘occasion’ restaurant, but I know we’ll be making this a regular haunt from now on because the experience and the food were top notch. Do yourself a favor, go!!! You won’t regret it.

How Sweet It Is Cake Studio – Menu with Prices – 6002 Veterans Pkwy Suite B, Columbus

I ordered two cakes back to back, one for my baby shower and another for my sonâ??s birthday party. Both cakes were exceptionally delicious. The baby shower cake was a coconut cake and it was so decadent, I would definitely recommend this flavor for any coconut lover! The birthday cake was themed after The Good Dinosaur movie and Chari and her family recreated a Good Dinosaur cake beautifully. I had a very positive experience working with the family to create the cakes that I envisioned; all of our communication was done through FB messenger and they always responded as quickly as they could, even given the fact that they had a family emergency during this time. They delivered two amazing cakes and I definitely recommend to anyone that wants to impress their guest with a decadent cake that looks just as good as it taste!

ARLEN BEACH CONDOMINIUM – Menu with Prices – 5701 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

This place sits inside of a recently remodeled condo building and has a nice ocean view. In Miami Beach sea views usually come at a price but not here as the prices are reasonable: We have a place next door and have frankly taken it for granted as we often come here for a quick lunch (nice Cuban sandwiches, Medianoches or steak sandwiches) or dinner (fish, churrasco, chicken and all sort of Latin specialties. On this occasion we came in for lunch while escaping the madness that is my gables neighborhood after Irma had her way with the fabled tree canopy. The ambiance is nicer than your average Cuban place (Versailles , la carreta) but the view of the pool (now under construction) and the ocean mean you will be looking out the wall of glass anyway. On this occasion we came for lunch. My wife had a pan con bistec (Cuban steak sandwich) and I had the grilled shrimp Caesar. The sandwich was on very fresh Cuban bread, the steak nicely seasoned and it came with lettuce and tomatoes and pretty good fries. The shrimp on the salad are fresh and nicely grilled and seasoned. The dressing itself was good but not homemade. Having been here many times I recommend the Mariquitas (plantain chips) never greasy. The tostones shaped like a cup and filled with shrimp creole are awesome. I have not ordered the patacon but it looks pretty good. The churrasco is excellent as is the deep fried whole snapper or fish fillet. I have also had the chicken cordon blu also excellent. The food here is better than your average Cuban place, the service is good, prices are reasonable and it’s never crowded. So if you are near this part of the beach avoid the places around 76-79st st (except the blue beer garden one of my favorites nearby, check out my review on yelp) and come here you will be happy you did.
