Serendipitously came to check this out one day after I got my nails done next door. I was running short on time to make dinner, so I figured why not try it out. First of all, who doesn’t like pizza?! I’ve been on a plant-based diet before, so I was definitely intrigued to see that everything on their menu was VEGAN! You don’t come across too many vegan restaurants these days, but before I walked in, I knew this place had to be something amazing with all the award stickers they had on their window. On my first visit, I bought a Large pizza and asked the cashier for her recommendation and if it was possible to get different toppings on each half of the pizza. She explained that they are able to do that with any pizza’s sized Large or X-Large. She went down the list of her favorites and two caught my attention, so I dove in and ordered half Spicy-Thai and half House Special. I LOVE thai food, and sure enough have never had anything other than traditional pizza toppings. The House Special consisted of: white sauce, tomatoes, pineapple, onions and chick’un. The Spicy Thai consisted of: spicy sauce, basil, onions, pineapple, sausage and mushroom. I waited for about 20 minutes and took the pizza home and my god, WE LOVED IT. For being a vegan pizza, it had SO MUCH flavor and the crust is so soft (even after reheating leftovers)! Usually I’m a cheapo when it comes to pizza, because let’s be real, the big chain pizza companies always have deals. But we’ve continued to come back to this place specifically for the Spicy Thai and I’m very willing to pay the $22 for an X-Large. I rave about this place to my co-workers all the time. It’s definitely a favorite in our household and a great go-to!

Blaze Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2348 Citadel Way #101, Melbourne

Blaze Pizza is much like the Chipotle of Pizza. Here you can customize your pizza to your liking. Kudos for having an option for vegans as they offer both vegan cheese & vegan chorizo. There are several signature pizzas w/ popular favorites along w/ calories listed. Probably the most popular choice here is the customizable Build Your Own Pizza. Choose your crust from original, thick crust, or cauliflower crust for gluten-free folks. Several sauces to choose from such as classic red sauce or spicy red sauce. Cheeses including vegan cheese options. etc. I opted for customizable Build Your Own Pizza w/ original crust, spicy red sauce, vegan cheese, vegan chorizo, & unlimited veggies. The toppings here hit the spot as lots of selections for those plant strong folks as the veggie toppings were plentiful, tasty, & nourishing. The pizzas are fast fired in 180 seconds in the oven. Fast, friendly service, & affordable. Found this to be one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve had in a long time for the fresh veggie toppings alone. Felt the crust could have been a bit firmer. The atmosphere pretty similar to dining at a Chipotle yet the vegan pizza hit the spot. I was able to finish the whole pie as was satisfying w/ just the right amount of food. Look forward to subsequent visits here.

Ahipoki – Gilbert – Menu with Prices – 3051 S Market St Suite# 101, Gilbert

This is the BEST poke I have had the pleasure of consuming, hands down. I love the ability to order the “half and half” to create my own sashimi salad! I’ve been to other establishments that serve poke and none offer the variety of fresh poke nestled on a bed of your favorite rice and an option to add a nice mixed leafy greens. You can choose from an assortment of menu sauces (or create your own blend) and finally, you can add toppings galore to round out your meal. * here’s the twist, I have the entire order mixed in a large bowl before serving. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. My fave: I dub it the “kitchen sink” Large bowl with 1 scoop each of blazing salmon, tuna luau and spicy tuna. I select the 50-50 mix of brown rice and leafy greens, add 2 scoops of avocado, house spicy sauce, all the toppings (except pineapple), don’t forget the crushed red peppers and dried onion.

Jasmine Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 2017 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville

My wife and I tried Jasmine Thai for the first time yesterday. Although it is close to our home, it’s not on a part of Wade Hampton that we are on frequently so we haven’t gone until now. Also and I hate to admit, the times we have driven by it just didn’t look that appealing in that small strip mall. Anyway we wanted to try something new and we are glad we did. I have to say this is by far the best Thai Cuisine we’ve had in Greenville since moving here in 2013. My wife started with the Tom Yum Kai thai spicy soup with exotic thai herbs with mushroom, lime juice, lemongrass, galangal, cilantro and added shrimp. We shared several items including Pineapple Fried Rice, stir fried jasmine rice with egg, pineapple chunks, curry powder, raisins, scallions, cashew nuts and onions, The Pad See, stir fried wide rice noodle, egg, broccoli, carrots and thai sweet soy sauce, added shrimp and Mix Vegetables with broccoli, cabbages, carrots, onions, mushroom, soy bean paste.Everything was fresh and delicious. The prices are very resonable and the service was attentive, friendly and just perfect! Jasmine Thai is now our Go to Thai place of choice!

Lucos Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2925 W Republic Rd #100, Springfield

So far I can only speak to the vegan pizza so far, but wanted to share my experience. I went in with high hopes based on other reviews. I ordered the vegan supremo pizza. The hand tossed crust was very good, soft and not too thick. The sauce didn’t have much of a flavor. The vegan cheese that has been highly praised in other reviews was practically nonexistent. The vegan pepperoni were also sadly without much flavor. The veggies are the star. Lots of big, fresh veggie pieces that are not overcooked. The vegan ranch is delicious, with a nice garlic hint to it. Overall the pizza was good, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. I would definitely try a pizza with real cheese and see how that measures up.

Saucy’s Thai & Pho – Plano – Menu with Prices – 4152 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano

Saucy Thai gets a 3.5 star rating from me….. yelp we need half stars! I picked up a to-go order. Called it in and it was ready soon after. Ordered the crab and cream cheese wontons and a Pad Thai. Crab and cream cheese wontons were the best part!! I was surprised to see how small they were when I opened them up but there was 7 in total (~$6). The filling inside is so tasty and a perfect balance of cream cheese, crab, and a surprise of green onions, rather than a cream cheese and breading overload from most places. I think the bread is more of a phyllo dough than a wonton- which I liked better because they weren’t so hard. These were addicting! They served it with a sweet sauce and I also had a spicy sauce in my bag.. not sure if that was for the Pad Thai but I dipped the wontons in both and they were amazing!! Get you some of these!! Now here comes the part where I wasn’t so satisfied. The Pad Thai ($11).. ugh so disappointing. I got a level 3 spicy.. most of the places in Dallas when I’ve ordered a 4, man it gets you. And I’m Indian.. this girl likes spice! The 3 had absolutely no heat. NONE. This made the Pad Thai overly sweet… I had to dump some sriracha in…not a fan of sweet. Not to mention the package was filled with peanuts and tons of bean sprouts. I threw away more than half.. it was too much and looked like they were trying to fill the space. The meat was also lacking. Pad Thai should be a staple at Thai places– this one just didn’t do it for me.

CAPRIGIOS PIZZA – Menu with Prices – 620 Dunlop Ln Ste 119, Clarksville

As a self-proclaimed pizza snob, I am always looking for a good pizzeria here in Clarksville to try. There’s been a whole lotta noise about this place, so I thought I would finally get around to checking it out. I had been one time previously for sandwiches, but this was my first look at their pizza. I ordered three items, a large supreme pie, a large pie with pepperoni, green peppers, & onions, and an order of cheese bread. I was greeted with a smile at the counter by a super friendly guy. Big bonus that I received a 15% discount for being a military retiree…thank you Caprigios for your support of the military! Since my order was to go, I waited about 30 minutes (maybe less…no biggie) for my pies. When they were ready, the same gentleman who took my order presented them to my by verifying they were what ordered…another bonus. I did notice that the green peppers and onions were cut I to tiny diced pieces rather than slices, not a bonus. Got the pies home and dug in. Well, they are not the best pizza in town as one customer told me they were as I exited the restaurant. Not even close in my opinion. The pizza/marinara sauce was spicy. Don’t get me wrong, I love spicy food, but not in a pizza sauce. The crust was thin, but not extraordinary…and the mushrooms on my supreme were not done. I think I know why… …too many pizza places use a conveyor belt pizza oven. Even the new wood-fired pizzeria in town has the cooking surface rotate. Conveyor belt pizza ovens stink because they do. A supreme pie has a good chunk of toppings on it and it needs a little extra time in the oven, but you can’t get that because the pizza maker is just running them through the belt since they don’t really know how to tend to, and look after, a pizza while it cooks in the oven. Conveyor belt pizza ovens are just not the right way to cook pizza, they’re the fast, efficient method for people who don’t really want to take the effort to perfect the craft of becoming a pizzaiolo. The pie with pepperoni, green peppers, and onions turned out cooked well, but dicing the veggies so small makes them unrecognizable and not very flavorful. Before they opened, I made comment on a social media article about them opening…I asked if they were going to be another conveyor belt pizzeria. Caprigios themselves replied to my post saying that they would be at first, but they would transition to a true pizza oven later, I will be back if they do. So, until someone else in town gets an actual pizza oven, there’s only one pizzeria (check my reviews to see who) in town worth getting pizza from on a regular basis and, in my opinion, it is not Caprigios.

Bombay Pizza House – Menu with Prices – 4922 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont

After my first visit I am a fan! I’ve had this place bookmarked since I heard about their chicken tikka masala pizza so on our way back from down south we made it a priority to add this to our stops back up. Their pizzas take at least 20-25 mins so I recommend calling in ahead for takeout. The location itself is inside a plaza so there is free parking and they have a lot of space so you can come with large groups. There are plenty of sports posters and TVs lining the walls so I can imagine how fun of a place this would be during a sports game, especially since they have beer to serve. | WHAT WE GOT | + Tandoori Wings (5 piece order) – YUM! The wings were so flavorful and definitely have a spicy kick. They give 5 or 10 pieces but with everything else we ordered the 5 piece was enough. I only wish the wings were a tad bigger but they were tasty. + Large Half Chicken Tikka/Half Pepperoni Pizza – Can’t go wrong with their classic pepperoni with the pepperoni slices curling up once they go through the over. The chicken tikka also did not disappoint and I was surprised to see how well the crust held up to all the toppings because it is one heavy slice. The green onions and tomatoes are new toppings but worked well with the seasoned chicken and white sauce. + Garlic Sticks with Cheese – These are classic and were perfectly garlicky and covered with cheese in each bite. Overall, all items were SO GOOD. They were piping hot and flavored oh so well. Service here is also super friendly and accommodating to give us anything we would need and any additional condiments. Definitely coming back!

Sawasdee Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 7546 Garners Ferry Rd unit 280B, Columbia

This place used to be Bangkok and has been bought out by new owners. I so desperately wanted to like it because I loved Bangkok and the location is very convenient for me. That being said, I was woefully disappointed with Sawasdee Kitchen. I called and ordered the pad thai and fried wontons, I asked for my meal to be a little spicy. They were quick, it took them less than 15 min to have it ready. The fried wontons were over cooked and the pad thai was incredibly bland. I had to put a lot of soy sauce on it for it to have any flavor and I typically don’t add soy sauce to my pad thai. The dish also had no spice at all. I think I’ll give this place one more try and order something else, but honestly this is largely because of its proximity to me. If I find another Thai place just as close, I don’t think I’d return.

Tedino’s Pizzeria & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 5335 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago

I dined in on a very slow week day night. My boyfriend and I were taking a stroll in our neighborhood and never ate here before. We figured it would be a quick meal. There were about 3 other tables of customers, yet this was not a quick meal. All the while, there were many delivery orders being sent out, while we waited for our food. We ordered a very basic greek salad and small vegetarian thin crust pizza to share. It took about half an hour to get the pizza. Additionally, the pizza was cut in square style (which I hate). Overall, the pizza sauce and crust was lacking in flavor, which is why I’m going with a 2 star (Meh, I’ve experienced better) score for Tedino’s. I fully acknowledge that I’m from New York and I have a high standard for pizza. Positively, our server was friendly, the salad was large, and the pizza was loaded with toppings. I don’t expect to dine in (or order from) Tediono’s again, but that’s just me!

Peluso’s Italian Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 4519 Woodruff Rd # 9, Columbus

Not somewhere I will be eating again. Was in a rush and this place happened to be in the same plaza I was in. I like to try new restaurants when possible so I thought I would give it a shot. The owner suggested the lunch menu. When my waitress arrived, nothing wrong with the waitress, the only choice of drinks were 2 types of soda or tea. I could have tap water or a bottle of water if I paid extra. I ordered a salad and 7″ pizza with 2 toppings off of the lunch menu. My salad was approx 5 ounces and consisted of all lettuce with 3 pieces of a carrot that were no bigger than a piece of piece of fuzz. Serious! It was COVERED with at least a half cup of “dressing”. The pizza crust was so thin that the edges were hard crispy but the middle was soft, not doughy, just soft. Very thin layer of sauce and cheese and the onions and mushrooms weren’t even cooked. I believe you get what you pay for. In this case, it wasn’t even worth the $9. Will not be eating there or suggesting anyone else to.

ALL STAR PIZZA – Menu with Prices – 3520 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City

I first started out on Yelp because I was a pizza driven individual looking to single out who was doing it well. I want them to have a bubbly crust( because that means the dough has had time to rest and double efficiently), a flavorful sauce that isn’t just blended stewed tomatoes with S&P( It I stumbled upon this unassuming place while on autopilot to the famous orange roofed bugger place a few doors down. However much I like a good burger, I will lock up my brakes and flip a U-turn so quick if I see pizza! I walked in and loved how descriptive the menu was on the oversized TV screens. I noticed I can get a size of pepperoni for .50?! You never know when you need a side of something that your pizzamates might not share your enthusiasm for. My go to pie is usually Pepperoni, pineapple with jalapenos or banana peppers. However I had to try out their specialty pies or I couldn’t give a fair shake. Their onions caramelized perfectly on the supreme pizza. There were no olives or mushrooms due to allergies so I can’t vouch for those two toppings. But everything was spot on from their not to greasy meat lovers to their ‘Home Alone’ homage cheese pizza. The pies have toppings perfectly applied up to crust. The owner is absolutely the most personable guy you could meet on any given day. He is patient while you hem and haw over doing half of something or a whole pie. I really cannot say enough about how much I enjoy coming in for pickup orders. The location has a stark stripmall atmosphere but I want them to get the business they deserve to get a stand alone location. The prices are undeniably what will draw you in but the service and end result will keep you coming back. They have gluten free crust for a $4 upcharge but it isn’t cardboard and hey, that helps us with gluten sensitivity into a winning combo! Shop local & love it.

Fish Bowl Poke – Menu with Prices – 2330 Preston Rd Ste300, Frisco

My absolute favorite poke spot by far. Food: I haven’t tried their signature bowls yet because I really love my customized regular bowl which consists of half sushi rice, half salad, salmon, spicy tuna, tossed in spicy soy with crab meat, sweet onions, avocado, jalapenos, tempura flakes, sesame seeds, and green onions with spicy mayo and eel sauce on the side. Their fishes and toppings are always the freshest. Also, they don’t make their sauces really overwhelming in flavor to the point where it tastes artificial. Some people may think that $10.95 is ovepriced for a regular bowl of poke, but they don’t realize that other poke restaurants will charge you a few dollars for “special toppings” like masago, avocado, crab meat, etc. and it’ll come out to be about the same price if not even more. Environment: It’s nothing too special and pretty, but it is a nice place to stay a while and enjoy your meal. Very open; I believe there’s about 10 tables, but I’ve never seen this place packed like that for you not to find a spot for yourself. Service: I always order at the kiosk to avoid talking to anyone. When I pick up my food, the staff is really nice and make sure your food looks up to your standard, they also ask if you need any extra sauces, utensils, etc.
