So many wonderful things I can say about this deli, but i’ll start with my obsession with the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup special. I am a total sucker for an all day breakfast sandwich… which Valentine’s offers and it is SOOOO good. My husband loves the Malibu Chicken sandwich, and we normally get a salad to split and have not been disappointed one bit. The staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and patient–even under pressure–including the time we showed up with four 9 year old hungry boys who just had a 4 game soccer tournament and were running on pure adrenaline… which speaking of kids, the deli has a great kids menu as well, and makes for a healthier option, and one they enjoyed very much. Ingredients are fresh, the specials are always tempting to try and the updates on facebook are helpful, which is always a plus for us office workers looking for a good place to order staff meals. I love me a good deli, so this local establishment ticks all my boxes: 1. Great place to grab a quick sandwich/salad/soup and work on your laptop… or have a nice lunch with your partner or friend or whomever you choose. 2. Family friendly is a huge one for me. Even if it’s to-go or sit down with a group of kids, the staff is so patient and accommodating. 3. Larger orders for office events will not disappoint either. We have had luck at our office choosing from the menu even those with dietary restrictions. The menu sits in our regular “go-to” file. 4. Great owners! Seriously, we were lucky enough to meet them and you can really tell that Kari loves what she’s doing and it really shows from obviously the food of course, but the decor, ambiance, casual vibe, it is all part of what she wanted and to hear about it, know about it, made it all the more special. So if you’re in the mood for a delicious sandwich, salad, or soup.. I highly recommend this little gem in the Box Factory. Thanks for serving the Bend community! As a local, I love seeing our very own locals opening up wonderful places such as this one here in our town! ..mmm now I want a breakfast sandwich…

Jimmy’s Tortas – Menu with Prices – 975 W Ruben M Torres Sr Blvd, Brownsville

Today was the first time trying Jimmy’s tortas. I wanted to treat the office staff to lunch and was looking for something different than a Jasons deli. I found them on Yelp and they had good reviews so I gave them a call yesterday and placed an order to be picked up today. I ordered the Cubana’s, polo, brisket, cochinita & Caesar salad. 9 menu items in total. I arrived and was greeted by friendly gentleman and my order was ready at the exact time I had asked. $40 cheaper than if I would’ve gone to Jason’s deli so that was a bonus. Passed them out to the staff and they were a huge, huge hit!. Everyone in the office loved their sandwiches!! I’m so happy to have stumbled across this place and to be able to support local business over a large food chain. Nice big, fresh salad as well. We will be going back for our next office luncheon.

Mama C’s Gluten Free Goodies – Menu with Prices – 7355 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville

Mama C’s was one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve found in East Tennessee! Courteous and helpful staff, delicious confections, and knowledgeable when it comes to dietary restrictions. Multiple members of our household require some combination of gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg-free meals. As such, we don’t eat out much. But birthdays are a special occasion. I was about to resign myself to ordering something from Magpie’s who, while great at a number of things, isn’t known for being celiac friendly. Enter Mama C’s Gluten Free Goodies. I called and ordered a cake completely over the phone (with Savannah maybe?) for next day pick-up. It was slightly more expensive than I had anticipated but come to find out was worth every penny. While picking up my order, I caved and told my kids I’d get them each one item. There was a lot to choose from. When one child’s interest moved to a red velvet cupcake, the woman helping us was quick to let us know the frosting is made slightly differently than the others and has a cream cheese frosting, accompanied by a knowing look. That was a Lvl. 38 boss move, right there. Had I NOT known about the subtleties in dietary restrictions, I would have simply been thankful for the extra information. As it was, I understood it for the update in anticipated ingredients and was able to steer my dairy-free child’s gaze to the cookie sandwiches in the other counter. I can’t afford treats often. But I can’t wait to come back here and help support this incredible resource and local business.

Downtown Deli & Eatery – Menu with Prices – 225 Market St # 1, Harrisburg

This place is unfortunately often an afterthought for many I know working downtown midweek. We need to change that! Located so conveniently to many office buildings, the deli serves breakfast and lunch at great prices and very promptly. I had lunch today well within my hour break. This is almost impossible except with fast food, and fast food doesn’t always offer a fresh, healthy variety. Two of us had cups of soup (cream of tomato and bean with bacon), a small chef salad, and a turkey, bacon, and provolone sandwich for under $18. The sandwich and salad were both full of good portions of meat and cheese. My salad container was similarly packed full. It was perfectly fresh with a variety of veggies including lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, and green pepper. This place needs to get in my regular rotation.

Jerry’s Deli – Menu with Prices – 1601 Northwest Expy # 120, Oklahoma City

Jerry’s Deli is a great place to get a bite to eat if you don’t want to leave your office building. They’ll customize your order with no issue. Very friendly staff. Great for breakfast, snack, and lunch!

El Paso Mexican Grill Shreveport – Menu with Prices – 7515 Youree Dr, Shreveport

I was searching for somewhere new to dine and discovered El Paso Mexican Grill. The atmosphere and the people are great. Right off the bat I was offered alcohol lol (I don’t drink)! They have about 100 items on the menu! However, my waiter was so nice and accommodating, he picked for me the perfect dish according to my dietary restrictions. I had #42, the Pollo Asado and sopapillas for dessert. Everything was great. I have pictures but I kept forgetting to snap the food BEFORE I would start eating. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them for lunch or dinner.

The Phenix Cafe – Menu with Prices – 515 Rusk St #112A, Houston

I come here everyday to get coffee since Starbucks sucks and, for the reasons below, like this atmosphere much better. Ashley, the owner/operator, is a wonderful lady, a true joy to visit, and always provides wonderful conversation. Her staff is very friendly and everybody appears to enjoy their work, which shows in the food. Because…. the food is amzing. Seriously. Every morning I walk by the Courthouse and can smell her breakfast delights, whether that be omlets, meats, or breakfast tacos. I often get smaller items, like soup etc., but have had full lunches on several occasions. Let me recount a few of them: Rasberry glazed cajun chicken, Cuban sandwich, bell pepper and chille stuffed chicken, and chicken fried steak. Each with their own fresh sides made daily. I have had some excellent gumbo here too, just saying. Not only does the food taste great, but its relatively “clean”/ healthy and I don’t feel disgusting unlike most places in the tunnels that load up their food with grease. Also, the prices are stupidly good for what you are getting. There is seating to eat if you don’t want to take it to your office too!

The Healing Factory Juice & Co. – Menu with Prices – 5401 N 10th St #112, McAllen

Referred here by a cousin. Originally from Oklahoma City, just here in the valley visiting family. Cousin said I had to check out this place. So I did! And it was wonderful. Delicious. Staff was very accommodating as well. I had the Star Burger with a salad & Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca, my grandmother had the Cosmic Sandwich with a fruit salad & Pineapple Agua Fresca. We both licked our plates clean. We also left with a vegan Tres Leches cake for dessert. THAT was amazing as well. It is pet-friendly, which is wonderful. They offer metal straws upon request, also great. All-in-all, it was a enjoyable afternoon complete with a yummy lunch. Will be back for sure.

Donut Country – Menu with Prices – 1311 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro

I love Donut Country?s donuts! The things is, I?ve never actually been to Donut Country before today. These are the donuts that I find myself treated to due to their presence at office meetings and other occasions. For someone that has never purchase a Donut Country donut it is amazing how many of them I?ve actually had, and they have always been fresh and delicious! Today one of our clients stopped by our office, and he brought a box of assorted Donut Country donuts with him. While my buddy and I were enjoying them I made the comment that we should have donuts for lunch. That is when he informed me that Donut Country actually serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches! I didn?t need to hear any more, I immediately informed him that we would be going there for lunch, and we did! We each has a chicken salad sandwich with chips, and they were delicious! We decided to split and egg salad sandwich and it was one of the best egg salad sandwiches that I?ve ever had! Both the chicken salad and egg salad were very fresh, but that was to be expected as I had been told that they make everything fresh every day. We dined in the store and found the store to be nice and clean, and the atmosphere was friendly and cozy. These guys do a great job and I look forward to returning for lunch in the near future!

Michael’s Deli – Menu with Prices – 628 S Virginia St, Reno

The first time I ate at Michael’s, I was blown away. It was the best deli sandwich I have ever eaten! I wondered if it was just luck. Maybe a combination of my mood and how hungry I was that day made it seem extra good. Well, when I returned a second time, Michael’s reputation with me was cemented as THE best Deli I have ever been to in my life, I’m not kidding. I was not disappointed and my second experience completely lived up to, if not surpassed, my first. The bread and other ingredients were perfect and high quality, and they know how to put just the right amount of everything on the sandwich. Unlike many mom and pop sandwich places and a certain New York style deli located in a local casino, they don’t overload their sandwiches with so much meat that it drowns out everything else and you can’t fit your mouth around it . They put the perfect amount of everything so you get a delicious medley of flavor with each bite. Their sandwiches aren’t show pieces for tourists to post on Facebook, they are meals, meant to actually be eaten and enjoyed by people’s taste buds.

Megabites Deli – Tacoma – Menu with Prices – 1201 Pacific Ave, Tacoma

Came by for lunch as I was working nearby. Small little sandwich shop at the ground floor of an office building. They do serve coffee, breakfast, lunch and some grab & go items. Most items on the menu looked pretty good, so I decided to get the “California Wrap”, it’s turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onions with a spicy mayo. Comes with a side of either bag o’ chips or their popular broccoli salad. The wrap was pretty good, served cold, and good sized. Broccoli salad was actually pretty darn tasty, crisp broccoli, nice dressing…get it! Staff was friendly, pricing is pretty good, takes only a few minutes for them to whip up your order. There’s seats inside and tables outside as well. Or you can do like my coworker did when I saw her down there and get her food to-go and eat her lunch at her desk and stink up the area, thanks. We all love the smell of onions in an office setting. Anyways, it’s a good spot to grab some food, catchy name for a sandwich shop, I would definitely come back.

Hidden Valley Deli Menu with Prices 1750 112th Ave NE C34, Bellevue

Connie is the sweetest woman ever. She always says hi when you enter, and always knows what I want. For breakfast: Bacon breakfast burrito and a mocha. I don’t know what it is, it’s just eggs, cheese and bacon, but boy do I love that burrito. The mocha isn’t anything special. But $2.75 for a double shot 12 oz mocha really can’t be beat. The Croissant sandwiches are really good too, but lately I just can’t say no to the breakfast burritos. Lunch: -I love the chicken and wild rice soup she has on Monday’s. $3 for a filling 12 oz bowl of soup is really a great deal, that doesn’t leave me in a food coma for the rest of the day. -French Dip sandwich. I love French Dip sandwiches, and sadly, I doubt I have found any better in the area, especially for the price, which includes some surprisingly good potato salad. -The Zesty:Roast beef, bacon, cheddar cheese and mayo on toasted bread. So Tasty. -The Reuben. I know, it’s at a Deli in Bellevue made by a Korean woman, but it’s surprisingly good and consistent. Dessert: I Love, love, love the giant chocolate chip cookies. She always remembers little things about my orders too. No Salsa for my burrito. No mustard on my sandwiches. They turn out the food very quickly, even when they are busy. Get there early though, or else the daily hot special or the soup may be gone after 1pm. I’m personally not a fan of the teriyaki special, but the mac n cheese is good, and there is bimbibap, lasagna, chicken pot pie, etc. The only down side is that she charges .50 cents for credit cards for orders under $5. I understand, but it often deters me from getting a mocha in the morning, or soup for lunch, because I never have cash.
