When you walk into the place it is calm and low key. They have lots of food choices as well as smoothies . Everything sounded good! I ordered the detox smoothie and the build your own salad. The workers were really nice and easy to talk to. I told one of them them about counting calories and having less sugar and she accustomed the smoothie to better fit what I wanted. Appreciated that. The smoothie was really delicious! It had broccoli, celery and spinach, but you couldn’t tell! Really good! I also ordered the build your own salad. Picked many different ingredients! Chicken, avocado, egg, mushrooms, carrots, croutons, cheese, cucumber, bacon bits, wantons, edamame, tomato, etc. The salad was fresh and really delicious! A nice change with getting the option to build it the way you want it! Great mix up from the usual. Great healthy place with many things to try! I’ve also had their açaí bowl before and it was really good as well! Look forward to trying other options! Really great service! Delicious food! They earned every star! Highly recommended!

Downtown Deli & Eatery – Menu with Prices – 225 Market St # 1, Harrisburg

This place is unfortunately often an afterthought for many I know working downtown midweek. We need to change that! Located so conveniently to many office buildings, the deli serves breakfast and lunch at great prices and very promptly. I had lunch today well within my hour break. This is almost impossible except with fast food, and fast food doesn’t always offer a fresh, healthy variety. Two of us had cups of soup (cream of tomato and bean with bacon), a small chef salad, and a turkey, bacon, and provolone sandwich for under $18. The sandwich and salad were both full of good portions of meat and cheese. My salad container was similarly packed full. It was perfectly fresh with a variety of veggies including lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, and green pepper. This place needs to get in my regular rotation.

Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 3735 Palomar Centre Dr Suite 180, Lexington

I went to Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen today during lunch. Had heard a lot about their salads. The 2 ladies there were super fast and sweet! Really appreciated their customer service. So I ordered a classic chicken salad with apples n strawberries in a pocket… yes, a picket. So they call hollowed our bread as pockets. Not to be mistaken with pita pockets. They also warm/toast the bread. I think I should’ve had the salad as is because in the bread, it became dry n soggy n also just tasted weird to have strawberries in bread. Also ordered their tomato soup. The color looks better in my photo as I used a filter . The taste was ok, nothing to write home about. Would I try it again? Maybe… if I was craving some tomato soup and Panera was not ah option. They did give croutons with the soup .. and then I realized that they charged for the add on. Hmmm Also tried their lemonade and mango juice.. not recommended. Strange aftertaste and too sharp a taste. Their cookie was nice n chewy though. Yes, i went the whole nine yards

Oakland Airport Executive Hotel – Menu with Prices – 150 Hegenberger Rd, Oakland

We are staying overnight here to catch an early flight. The front desk said the chiefs are great and everything on the menu is good. A basserbyer was stopped by the front desk agent and said she stays here all the time, ask her if t bnb e restaurant is good. So I did. She responded I have never eaten here. We decided to enter Bistro 150. As we entered the restaurant there white linens covering all the tables and a small bar at the far end. They have a very small open kitchen with one cook and one server to assist a full bar and dining room. We took a set at the end of the bar and waited for the server. Within a few minutes he acknowledged us and said he would be right over. He brought us breakfast menus, then one dinner menu. I quickly ordered a stella beer and my wife ordered a pineapple and vodka beverage. The beer was good and the vodka tasted like rubbing alcohol. Nasty. I ordered a caesar salad and grilled cheese with fries. My wife ordered the vegetarian sandwich. The cook pulled two frozen eggplant patties from the freezer and dropped it in the fryer. After a few minutes he pulled them from the fryer and began to build the sandwich. At this time I noticed the cook pulling bacon from the fryer basket. It does appear that he was trying the bacon in the fryer. If you are allergic to meat, be careful that they are not frying bacon when they are cooking your meal.my grilled cheese was everything you would think it would be. Greasy melted cheese. The caesar salad was underdressed and served with store bought croutons. Overall the beer was the highlight of the meal. If you have opportunity to grab a bite somewhere else…… please do that.

Diamond Back Downtown – Menu with Prices – 101 N Cherry St, Winston-Salem

I love this place. I walk downtown sometimes during lunch and stop here to get take-out. It’s in the Park Building and has “order at the counter” walk up service. Their food is truly gourmet. They have tables inside and some outside in the atrium. The wait is never too long. Their ingredients are so fresh and their sandwiches and salads are innovative and delicious. I love the Ciao Bella – grilled portabella, tomato, pesto aioli, provolone, organic mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette. The Black Bean salad or Sesame Noodles make a great side. They have homemade soups every day. Their house salad is spectactular – figs, walnuts, blue cheese, etc. You also have the option to build your own salad or sandwich ($7.95 or $6.95 respectively). Great options like cranberry mayo, horseradish sour cream, pesto aioli, avocado, kalamatas, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, capers! They make your salad chopped with dressing on the side or they’ll load it in a big stainless steel bowl and toss it. Prices are good, food is outstanding, owners are really, really nice. Big fan.

Farm District Marketplace – Menu with Prices – 328 N Orange St, Glendale

Sad because I really want to like this place. However, the food is less then impressive. Service lacking. Every time I have been here I have had to wait at the register for about 5 minutes before being serviced to pay. This time I thought about actually walking out and leaving my food there for them. You must tend to your customers. Food is overpriced for the freshness. Most of it has been sitting out all day. Breakfast bar is 8.99 per lb for overcooked under a heat lamp eggs bacon and sausage. Salad bar 8.99 per lb. most of their dishes are about 12.99 – 14.99 per lb (chicken salad, Pasta salad etc). I will say the build your own pizza for 9.95 is delicious. Last time I had a sandwich took about 25 minutes to make and was small and underwhelming for 9.95. The fresh juices are decent price about the same as DA juice bar next door. Smoothies cheaper which is nice. I got a bagel toasted with cream cheese for 2.45. HOWEVER, I open the bagel and it was only spread cream cheese on one side of the bagel and not enough to spread to the other side. SO disappointing who eats one side of a bagel with cream cheese and the other side dry?! No to mention after waiting 5 minutes to pay… please up your game up FarmDistrict you have all the potential just hire better staff and make sure things are not just sitting all day and fresh! It’s a fresh salad/breakfast bar, after all..

Pola Poke Bowls – Menu with Prices – 3594 W Plumb Ln Ste A, Reno

YUM! I’ve had a lot of poke bowls from various places and Pola Poke is among the best! It’s in a location I would never have just wandered into but for some reason I actually looked through an envelope full of coupons I got in the mail and there was one in there for $5 off – so I had to try it, and I am so glad I did! Totally worth going out of the way for. I first noticed that they have a really nice outdoor seating area so if the weather’s good – I would opt for that. They make a lot of smoothies and acai bowls so the blenders were really loud inside. Most importantly, though, was the poke! I built my own (regular size) bowl for $11.95 and it was amazingly full of goodness. Lots of big chunks of fresh salmon and tuna. I chose brown rice and mixed greens as my base, and a pineapple citrus ponzu as my sauce that was SO good. I loved that the person making it first put the ponzu and fish in a separate bowl and mixed them together – a lot of places just put it all in one container. This was better. And then I added All of the Things! Carrots, cucumber, masago, red bell peppers (something I don’t normally see as an option, yum!), seaweed salad, scallions, and pineapple. It was all really fresh. I might get avocado and/or mango next time but they are each $1 extra when you build your own bowl and I didn’t want to go *too* crazy. Yet. You also get to add crispy crunchy toppings so I added coconut flakes (after a brief discussion of whether that would taste good :-)), sesame seeds, macadamia nuts, and crispy garlic. I had a real sweet-savory combo going on and it was extremely delicious. The person helping me was very nice and also made it easy to use the coupon I had, which I appreciated. I will definitely be going back! You can also order online, which is an option I love. If you use the Clover app, you can collect points and get $10 off after you spend $100 (which hopefully I won’t do too quickly!).

Middle Ages Licensed Location @ Hancock International Airport – Menu with Prices – Hancock International Airport, Syracuse

This is the only sit-down restaurant option in the left wing terminal where American Airlines and Frontier is. The waitress cleaning the table saw me enter and stand there waiting to be seated but she didn’t bother to address me until I approached her after waiting for her to wipe 4 more tables. I guess it is a self-seating type of establishment. There is a bar area and also sit-down seating. They have breakfast options that only last until 10:30 AM. I ordered a caprese sandwich and paid an extra $3 for grilled chicken. This brought the sandwich up to $17. The bread on it was ciabatta and it wasn’t very toasty aside from a small section of the corner. The sandwich seemed to be microwaved because the tomato slice inside was soggy and the mozzarella cheese inside was melted. There was no basil so it didn’t taste the way I expect caprese to taste. When you think of caprese, you think of fresh mozzarella and tomato rather than melted cheese and cooked tomato. I was underwhelmed by the sandwich and its lack of vegetables. There was a sun dried tomato paste inside that was alright. It came with a pickle slice and a side of salty chips. It would have been nice to have an option to substitute the potato chips with a salad instead. One waitress took my credit card and brought me back my check and a 2nd waiter took the card again and was about to charge it a second time before I intervened. I think their breakfast items might be a better option. I noticed that a lot of folks here ordered salads. It may be a good spot to grab a beer but it wasn’t a great option for a caprese sandwich.

Sunshine Juice Co. – Menu with Prices – 6225 E Virginia St suite c, Evansville

I love the idea of this place most of all. I’ve had some really great experiences here, like the time I ordered the Tropicana banana smoothie with plant protein. That was delicious! Expensive, but delicious. It was nice and blended and not at all the water down version of most establishments. I’m also a fan of the breakfast smoothie, but one time I ordered it and I got this water down smoothie that wasn’t frozen and it had lots of chunks of oats in it, which I did not appreciate. I do not blame the whole restaurant on this one mistake. No, this was just a case of a bad smoothie maker. But, that smoothie cost eight dollars! It was a small! I understand that fresh fruit is expensive but no small drink should cost that much. I’ve had experiences with their juices which I enjoyed very fresh and detoxifying. Be careful about the smoothies. I think I prefer making my own smoothies. The key to all good good smoothies is frozen FRESH fruit. I think this place sticks by that rule only halfway. I would go back I think, but only for the chocolate peanut butter granola. I highly recommend that!

Roti Modern Mediterranean – Menu with Prices – 80 S 8th St, Minneapolis

Decent (somewhat healthy) option to have when working in Downtown Minneapolis. There aren’t that many good lunch places that offers a combination of affordability, accessibility, and deliciousness than Roti. Like others mentioned, it is the ‘Chipotle’ for Mediterranean food. I do see a trend with this cuisine popping up in many urban places such as Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York (e.g. Naya in Midtown). The food is fresh and it literally takes less than 2 minutes to go from ordering to having a lunch ready to go The process is simple – begin with either a rice bowl, salad, pita, or wrap and then follow by choice of protein, sides, and toppings. The total will vary but expect $7-10 Ordered – Rice Plate with Chicken Roti, Hummus, Tomato / Cucumber, Vegetables, and Feta Cheese topped by a delicious Red Pepper sauce (4/5). The rice bowl will fill you up but won’t leave you with distaste or a ‘heavy’ feeling as if you Roti is a solid option and I’ll probably visit it the next time I’m in the city. If you’re a regular, I’d suggest starting a loyalty program with them (I think it exists) to rack up those points!

Muesliikon Green Cafe – Menu with Prices – 81 S McQueen Rd #105, Gilbert

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! the owner is super amazing and beautiful inside and out! We came when it had opened and ordered the mango smoothie and dragonfruit smoothie and some jollof rice. We also bought some muesli! Mango: that was soooooo amazing!!!!!!!!!! Honestly juice it up and jamba and any other smoothie place I’ve hit up just can’t beat this smoothie it was like DAMN so fresh and refreshing and delicious. I decided it was my favorite when I took my first sip hehe. Dragonfruit: this was also good!!! Quite healthy and refreshing and it wasn’t too sweet either. Mango is just naturally sweeter but this was a good option too! Jollof rice: ok first off the incredible owner hooked it up when I told her I never tried jollof rice and she brought out an ample amount of sample for me to try! She is so generous! I loved it so much that I also ordered it! it made a good breakfast hehe. It has peas, carrots, onions, and a ton of flavor! It really does feel like a party in your mouth haha. It also does not contain meat so it’s good for vegetarians! The owner Lilia (omg I am so sorry if I misspelled your name!!) she is such a beautiful person so down to earth and friendly and caring she really was so generous offering me and my brother a ton of samples and even giving us gifts with the Muesli we bought!! she was just a perfect example of an awesome human. I really recommend anyone reading this to stop by and support this awesome business!!! Their food are reasonably priced and they were so tasty, healthy, and refreshing and you can really tell she is passionate about the food she creates. They even had a great point incentive system to have you redeem a free smoothie when you earn 9 points! I will FOR SURE be back when I’m in AZ again!!! Thanks Lilia for treating us with so much love and hospitality!

City Greens – Menu with Prices – 600 Metairie Rd e, Metairie

When it’s two weeks past summer bod deadline and you’re trying to moonwalk your way back to the goals you set, City Greens is a lovely local option with healthy, fresh ingredients that’ll make you say, “mmmm, na-nah na-nah…” While a good pun, of which they have many, is the way to my heart, their wraps and salads have really found a way to my belly. I think to each his own, but my favorite wrap is the Thai Peanut Wrap on a spinach tortilla with Gulf shrimp, basil, cilantro, carrot, cucumber, peanuts, spinach, and spicy thai peanut sauce (heavy on the sauce). The flavors meld really well together and there is a really nice crunch. I didn’t think the thai peanut sauce was spicy at all so I like to drizzle a bit of sriracha. Whilst I do miss the Farm Fresh Greek salad that they no longer have on the menu, their Caprese Salad is delightful! Cut grape tomatoes (so you’re not struggling to fork them), delightfully tasty mozzarella balls, the best croutons I’ve ever eaten, basil, arugula, mixed greens, lemon basil vinaigrette, and a balsamic reduction. I go medium on the dressing here so as not to overpower the other ingredients, and it works really well. This is the kind of salad where you leave no ingredient behind, no mercy. The space is very clean with lovely little succulents everywhere, and a thoughtfulness when it comes to Trash and Recycling. There is a patio, but it’s a touch hot for that right now. They’ll give you big ol’ water cups and they gots that good good Sonic ice. #winning. I know there is some talk of their prices, but when you see local brands like Bellegarde bread (possibly for their croutons which were fan-freakin’-tastic and didn’t break my fork) and Willa Jean chocolate chip cookies that are worth delaying that beach bod goal just a few more days…well, that makes it less of a sticker shock when they’re supporting other local businesses.

One Stop Nutrition – Menu with Prices – 6171 N Decatur Blvd Ste. 130, Las Vegas

Simply the best! So,from the name you may not think this is a option for a fresh smoothie or juice, but that is so wrong. When ever I first walk in to this place,I am ALWAYS greeted with a warm smile and a “hello, welcome, how is your day going”. The walls are lines w all new age, cutting edge and old trusted favorite supplements vitamins, diet supplements, pre and post work out sups, and even herbal sleep remedies! There’s so many different kinds,if you have ANY questions, don’t hesitate to ask as the staff is super educated on how each one works. If your understanding sure if something is right for you they offer samples as well. As you walk towards the back, also near the cash register you will start to notice the smell of fresh fruits and veggies…this my friends, means you just entered the pearly Gates of juice bar smoothie heaven. On the other side of the counters a glass guard over it is the days FRESH cut fruits and veggies. It’s like screaming “eat me” “make me a juice” w all the bright vibrant colors, and delightful smells. Something super important important to me at a juice bar is the lack of fruit flies. Nothing is more off putting to me then little evil gnat like fruit flies infesting and ruining my desire for a fresh smoothie or juice. I have NEVER EVER SEEN NOT ONE OF THEE TINY SUCKERS AT ONE STOP NUTRITION!!!!! KUDOS TO THEM. They have several pre thought juice and smoothie options which you can customize till your heart is content,or you can build your own juice or smoothie…the sky is the limit. This place puts big chain places like Jamba and tropical to shame. One stop has a life long customer in me!
