Do not recommend this place at all. Horrible service. My sister ordered a cake for me over a month before my birthday, the plan was to pick up the cake October 11th. My sister called and emailed with Alyssa I believe and went over everything she wanted. A decorative, pretty and fancy cake. The cake she picked up was none of this. It was white with gold dropping and that was it. And the gold dripping was the worst dripping I have ever seen. She started crying because she was so upset. She had gone over macaroons, roses etc. as decor on the cake and the girl more than a month out said they didn’t have macaroons at that time… LOL okay so it’s more than a month out… what about closer to the time??? Very strange, poor communication. Also, she said other options than macaroons on top of the cake. She wanted a PRETTY cake. The cake we received was so horrible. When she showed me after she had already cried I couldn’t help but laugh. I’ve seen the cakes and treats that this place has provided for weddings and was impressed and then when finally someone I know chooses to go through them they give such poor service. I would never recommend this place and will be sure to pass on the word to anyone who asks about it. So disappointed. Fred Meyers does better cakes for 15 bucks which I picked up for my brother a few weeks ago. Much better design and details too for no extra charge.

Sweet Tea Cakes – Menu with Prices – 7414 Mineral Point Rd, Madison

Sweet Tea Cakes made my sister in law tear up for her Bridal Shower! I could not be any more pleased with my experience with Sweet Tea Cakes! I dropped into the shop about 1 month before a bridal shower I was hosting for my sister in law who was traveling from Boston to Madison so I really needed a WOW cake! She loves glitter and is having a dinosaur themed reception soon for her wedding. I walked in telling them that and bam, got the most wonderful cake ever! When I was there, they took notes, and someone emailed me a few days later with cake sketches and more details. SO easy to work with them! I told them I wanted to pick the cake up at 1pm and when I got there the day of the shower they had everything ready to go for me. One less stress for the day that’s for sure. In a nice and easy to carry box. I got a raspberry and lemon cake with buttercream and it was delicious. The buttercream even looked like fondant and people were surprised it wasn’t!! Some guests commented it was a tad too sweet, but honestly I hear that about any deserts anywhere, so I took it with a grain of salt. I thought it was fabulous and perfect for the occasion. Another huge plus to be honest, was the price. After emailing with the cake designer, I added some of the features she had suggested and was thinking the cake would definitely be over $100 for sure. I got a 2 tiered cake to serve 15-18 people and it was under $80! I was so thrilled! With the amount of detail, it really was an excellent price. We even had quite a bit of leftovers! I am so pleased and thankful for sweet tea cakes for making this bridal shower a huge success. Everyone was so impressed, even at the venue the staff was all coming out to see the cake! I will DEFINITELY be back again! I highly recommend them!

We knew we wanted a wedding cake because my husband loves wedding cake. (No, seriously, that was the only reason I could drag him to weddings as my date before we got married.) We didn’t want some huge elaborate affair that cost thousands of dollars – just a simple cake that looked (and tasted) like a wedding cake. We met with Cheryl and gave her our topper. We also tasted and picked our cake and which style we wanted from her specials. I brought along some of the (fake) flowers we were using in arrangements so she could get an idea of the style. And then we left it all in her hands. The cake was delivered at the wedding venue perfectly on time and it was amazing! Cheryl went above and beyond in creating a cake for us that fit our wedding perfectly and tasted incredible! Any time we need fancy cakes she will be our baker of choice.

Kool Kakes By Dylan – Menu with Prices – 5615 Troup Hwy, Tyler

We ordered two cakes from Kool Kakes by Dylan for a 50th Anniversary Party. Both cakes turned out better than the pictures we provided that we wanted the cakes to look like. They delivered the cakes for our event which helped so much, highly recommend that service. The cakes were absolutely delicious. His fondant is made out of marshmallows and tastes good. Our cakes were strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and snickerdoodle. The cakes were a huge hit, they were so beautiful you didnâ??t want to cut them, and tasted wonderful. Village Bakery use to be by go to cake place-but I now have a new cake man! They give great customer service and respond quickly to any questions. I highly recommend them, you wonâ??t be disappointed.

The Cake Lady (Anna) was extraordinary and I heard from word of mouth and her website, and of course Dainty Obsessions Magazine that she was a pro cake maker that specialized in wedding cakes and other different types of unique cakes! Of course for my wedding I had to have something that was different than all the rest of the cakes out there which Anna was happy to do! Considering I was an out of state person I was impressed that Anna was able to keep up with requests and was happy to have only so many discussions about the cake (instead of me having to email and call her like some of the other vendors I would have to check up on). My favorite part about the whole process had to be the tasting which I did with my mother. Anna was accommodating and helped me develop how our cake would end up looking like in the end. I was thoroughly impressed and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a custom cake. She also helped us figure out at what temperature the cake would have to be kept at and made sure that we knew what we needed to know. The cake turned out delicious, and everything we hoped for! Unfortunately due to some disgruntled relatives we didn’t get to take our cake home for they gave it away at the hotel to someone we didn’t even know. We are hoping that Anna can be able to make us an anniversary cake and send it down to us here in Texas! We love her that much!

Gallardo’s Cakes and Bakery – Menu with Prices – 215 Dover Rd, Clarksville

Poor customer service. We met with the owner in January to do a tasting for my daughter’s wedding cake. We picked out the flavors and icing. Owner states she makes the best cakes and no one does as good of a job as she does. She stated her cake stays moist for a week. She stated she would deliver the cake the day before the wedding we just had to pay $150 refundable deposit to ensure the cake stand equipment was returned. She took the paperwork and told us to come back six months before the wedding to finalize the order. We go back and it is a totally different story. She acted as if she did not want to be bothered with making the cake. Told us WE could pick up the cake 3 days before the wedding but she would not recommend it because it would not be moist. Totally different story. Not trustworthy at all.

I purchased a cake for my baby’s adoption party. I did my research and found the perfect cake for our theme of the party. I brought in the picture of the cake I wanted with me to the initial consultation. Caroline assured me that she/the shop would be able to adhere to the design of the cake. The day of the adoption I was too busy to pick up the finished cake so my friend picked it up for me. As soon as I saw the cake I was upset. It was nothing we discussed. The colors were not the same, the design, and the butterflies had a horrible quality to them. I immediately called The Mixing Bowl and Caroline answered. As soon as I identified myself she hung up on me! I served the cake at the party and it tasted mediocre, like a cake I got at Walmart could’ve tasted better. So in the end it was horrible customer service, terrible cake decorating, and disappointing taste. You’d be better off going anywhere else for any kind of cake, let alone a cake for any memorable event. Rhonda Kelly

The Original Mommie Helen’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1440 S E St, San Bernardino

My daughter and I were in there yesterday. I had been wanting to stop in, but finally we were in traffic and we got off the freeway. Needless to say where we ended up. I bought the sweet potato pie and a small peach cobbler. My daughter wanted to taste all the other cakes. I told her that her nana used to bake those when I was a kid . The Lemon Church Cake, the sock it to me cake. She bought two others but I can’t remember at the moment what they were. The cobbler I warmed up and had with my coffee. The flavors are delicious, the CRUST omg after I warmed it it was still fantastic. It holds its own. I had to try a slice of the sweet potato and I doesn’t even compare lol to Walmart Patti La Bell pie. Sorry Patti I love you but nothing beats a fresh pie. I wish I would have got the woman’s name that helped us. I know she’s part of the Family there, but she was kind and welcomed us into her family now. Please stop in and just say hi and cakes , cobblers , are all sold by the piece as well. And from what I see they will cater weddings just about anything I guess.

I ordered a sculpture guitar cake. I was not satisfied with that cake at all. I feel like I wasted my $$$. It was horrible. The look was a disaster the cake was purple even though I didn’t pick a color I would have never thought it would be purple for a man. The strings were hanging off & the inside was not soft it was hard. I’m highly upset with your product. I know it’s too late for a refund but I wanted you to know my feelings of the terrible work done on my fiance’s cake. Update: The cake was remade almost a week later & the look of the cake was horrible it looked as her children did the icing it was rushed and instead of putting Happy Birthday she put sloppy as hell Happy B Day. After I wasted 136.00. I’m still not satisfied. Two cakes which was a waste of money.

Read the reviews before deciding that this was where I wanted to get my birthday cake from. Only decided the night before so I went online and it said orders must be placed 48 hours in advance. I decided I would call anyway to find out what cakes they had available without ordering. Spoke with a gentleman who was possibly the owner. I asked him what they had available and he had mentioned vanilla and that they would be making other cakes later. Upon explaining my situation he asked me what cake I wanted. I mentioned the chocolate peanut butter crunch. He said he would check if they could make it and call me right back. Sure enough within 10 minutes he called and said it wouldn’t be a problem. Extremely friendly and gracious and was making jokes with me on the phone. My dad picked it up that evening and the cake was AMAZING- very rich but so moist and peanut-buttery! Will definitely be using cake royale as a go to for birthday cakes !

I had been recommended to go to Bake My Day through multiple friends, as their presentation and cake quality was respectable for the Green Bay Area. Initially, I contacted the owners and they were nothing but polite, and also went out of their way to allow us to taste the cake flavors, when they usually only do this for wedding cakes only. From there on out, the cake and the process was a disaster. We went in for our cake consultation and spent over an hour with the lady trying to capture every detail of the cake. They were extremely difficult and made it almost impossible to recreate the image, with every detail being an added on fee. We had requested a tiered cake, but would have been outrageously expensive to purchase as there were add on fees for almost everything, from the flavor of the cake, the extra words and details upon the cake, the display, fondant, and more to name. Yes, we have purchased cakes before and are aware that there are some additional fees, but this seemed excessive. We ended up switching our style of the cake, as it was an easier and cheaper, still fairly pricey, option. We had provided photos for the cakes. Upon pick up, the cakes represented nothing of the given pictures and was of poor quality. We had ordered two cakes, neither of which were of expected quality or presentation. The sheet cake that we had purchased was iced in a hideous blue, not resembling the theme or the other blues with the corresponding cake, and the words on the cake were not straight, rather in a zig-zig and crooked. It appeared that the cake was rushed to be finished this morning and there was no effort put into the presentation. For the second cake, it is similar to the provided photo, but does not have the qualities that we had requested. The frosting is speared, the details on top look ridiculous and could have been done better my a high school culinary student, and there are no fondant pieces, which were requested. Additionally, to add onto the day this was a cake for a high school graduation and when picked up the sadness and disapproval from my daughter was evident, with no concern or address to the problem. The customer service was impressive and appreciative at the beginning, but the product is not of good quality and does not meet the needs of the customer. This cake could have been made for a MUCH cheaper price at a chain grocery store with a much better presentation. I would not recommend coming her for anything but a basic cake with little to no detail.

Iâ??ve had several cakes made by Georgia in the past. Always been beautiful. Cake is delicious and very moist, icing is tasty, I recommend a ganache. Consistently good cakes, I would not use anyone else to make my cakes, anyone who knows me, will know I recognise a good cake when I have one! I have no hesitation in recommending Georgeous cakes, whether you want a custom made cake or cupcakes.
