BRINGING LIFE AND PIZZA BACK TO THE DESERT Montecillo is one of the energetic places that fuels the social life in El Paso. From the bars, clubs, and many eateries to the art, vibes, and small boutiques and businesses, Montecillo represents the young, restless, and energetic youth spirit in El Paso. Electric Cactus gives life to the desert with its bar and club scene, as well as the good eats and aesthetic atmosphere. Now, lets talk about that pizza. The FOOD: $1 PIZZA SLICES ON TUESDAY Pepperoni and Jalapenos Pizza: PEPPERONI WITH A LITTLE BIT OF ELECTRICITY Crispy edges, thin crust, more cheese than your mouth can take, miniature pepperonis that fight back, and sparks of energy in thinly sliced fresh jalapenos. This is exactly how I want my pizza. This is what you get at Electric Cactus. Affordable pizza slices for the ones who risk everything on the dance floor; for the students that study hard, work hard, and play harder; and for the city that stays strong and resilient despite the fears of the impending unknown. The pizza itself is well balanced with the creamy and browned cheese, sharp & salty pepperoni, and fresh, earthy, spicy jalapenos. Each bite is addicting with these bold flavors, especially when matched with the crispy crust. Not as oily as you think, which makes it even better. The VERDICT: ELECTRIC SCENE, PIZZA, AND VIBES TUESDAY AND BEYOND Electric Cactus and the rest of Montecillo remade Tuesday into a better day. This is through local energy and the energy of the surrounding community. With music, a bar and club scene, and energetic people, it only made sense that a great place with pizza and drinks would help bring everything together. Each slice of their Pepperoni and Jalapenos Pizza is crispy, savoury, and spicy. The antidote of the spice lies in the cheese, while the antidote to the vegetarian toppings is the pepperoni. Regardless, each bite challenges the tastebuds and is addicting as the next. I will definitely be back and most definitely it will be a Tuesday.

Extreme Pizza – Menu with Prices – 111 W Nolana Ave, McAllen

9/7 Saturday My sister, her husband, and my niece Lilly went out for pizza and it was worth it! I ordered the Hanoi Fever: shredded pork, maybe more like pieces of pork, marinated in a spicy hoisin style sauce, peanuts, green onions, cilantro, carrots, jalapeños and mozzarella. While the spicy hoisin style sauce wasn’t really spicy to me, the fresh slices of jalapeños did it for me! Great choice if you like spicy! Maybe I’ll dare myself to try the Ghost Wave- ghost pepper cheese!!! THIN CRUST PIZZA!!! YUMMMY!!! We had THE YARD, Cheese and another pizza with sausage, mushroom and ricotta! Everyone was satisfied! My nephew Toby turned 28 years old! Ok, The Yard comes with so many toppings one slice is all I could handle: Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, black olives, mushroom, green peppers, red onion, vine ripe tomatoes, tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar! So much and so gooooood! On Tuesday’s they have a deal: buy one larger and get a smaller free. Something like that. So next Tuesday…yep, pizza for lunch! Took the pizza to go, and didn’t stay, but I do want to go hang out and have a slice and some beer! Wonderful pizza and a great price!

Gino’s Pizza Menu with Prices 1374 Copley Rd, Akron

Holy Cow! What an absolute surprise. We recently ordered from Gino’s, and let me tell you, what a pie! We ordered 2 different ones, a half cheese, half pepperoni, and a white, garlic, chicken pizza. First the half pepperoni. Delicious, medium crust, crispy on the bottom, still a bit of chew to the inside. Tangy, rich, tomato-y sauce. Great cheese, cupped, tiny pepperoni rounds that crisped up on the bake. The white pie was aggressively garlicky, but that’s sort of what you expect in a white pizza. The chicken on it was diced up and incorporated in every bite. Coupled with the same great dough and cheese as the pepperoni pizza, this was pretty good. My preference is probably the red sauce pizza, but that’s usually my preference, so try them yourself and see what you like best!

Lui’s Pizza & Subs Menu with Prices 1150 N Harbor Blvd #106, Anaheim

Best Pizza in Anaheim bar none. Have tried other places all over the place always to my sincere regret within North/West Anaheim. Lui’s is #1 for me. My faves include: Garlic cheese STICKS (there is a difference, they have regular garlic cheese bread which is not the pizza pie cheese sticks) Buffalo Wings! This place is my favorite wings place, I don’t think of anywhere else when I want wings. My custom orders: * Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage w/ Jalapenos is my personal signature pizza. * Hawaiian with Jalapenos is delicious * chicken bacon mushroom jalapenos Their Signature Chicken Club is #1 in the OC bar none. Deluxe/Supreme is fantastic as well. THE CRUST makes for EXCELLENT BREADSTICKS to dip in your favorite marinara, ranch, etc sauces. GRAVY! Its an honest pizza pie shop, great pizza, hidden gem, not as well known as other places because of its location but for locals and visitors to Disneyland – you just have to try it. Due to to size of the place it is not very good for dining in – unless you are alone or with 1 other person, best solution go for pickup. — TIP TIP TIP TIP TIP — Plan to be at the shop within 20-25minutes of your order so you get it HOT off the oven. If you phone-in ( it sometimes can be difficult to reach, since they go all hands on deck making their orders and any extra hands are delivering pies ). But its not because they are trying to ignore you, when they get busy, they get busy. Just keep calling every 5 minutes and you’ll get them. Delivery times tend to be 45 minutes to an hour for locals. I meant to post another 5 stars in 2018 but this one will do for both 2018 and 2019. I’m actually going to surprise my brother for his birthday by grabbing him a pie and some IPAs to go with this glory.

Detroit Frankie’s Wood Fired Brick Oven – Menu with Prices – 921 N Washington Ave, Lansing

Decided to check this place out after hearing so many good things!! Stopped in last night around 8 pm. It is in an interesting location and at first I was thinking am I in the right place? It is located right next to a brewery which is pretty cool! I decided to go all out and over a 12″ Pizza with pepperoni, artichokes, jalapenos and prosciutto. I also ordered the jammer bread that was highly recommended by this couple I met there. The service was pretty fast and got my order in about 10 minutes. Honestly, this place is forsure my new favorite pizza place in the East Lansing and Lansing area. Tasted so fresh and love that they used fresh cut jalapeños. And the jammer bread was so good too!! Can’t wait to come back!!

The SconeWitch (Elgin) – Menu with Prices – 150 Elgin St, Ottawa

Would have given 5 stars, but the visit this morning, Thursday, May 16, was not nearly as superb as our visit on Tuesday, the morning of the 14th. Tuesday the eggs were sublime, creamy and moist; the sliced mushroom topping had a freshness and fullness to it; the herb and onion scone was oven fresh, flaky, and crispy. So, Tuesday was a solid and definite 10! (I was told “Cameron” was cooking, check before you go and make sure he’s there. He really seemed to enjoy what he was doing, always smiling and energetic.) Thursday, was a 5, at best â?¹?. The eggs were overcooked, twice; the mushroom topping looked like it had been tortured; the cold, heavy, scone tasted at least a day old. I had to ask for it to be reheated, they did, without even offering me a fresh one. I was heartbroken after my earlier, stellar, experience. (I was told who was cooking this morning, but I won’t name her. I watched her over cooking every portion of scrambled eggs, with little expression, and low energy, she just didn’t seem to enjoy her work, and my meal suffered.) I noticed that there were more than a few plates left with scrambled eggs on them (unlike Tuesday morning). Scrambled eggs might seem easy to make, but it actually takes attention and care, like Cameron’s, to create light, creamy, melt in your mouth eggs that prompt rave reviews and make travellers come back a second time in one week. I’m not sure whose fault the stone cold, day old tasting scone was ð???.

Pizza My Cart – Menu with Prices – 99 W Broadway, Eugene

Do you want to know how good this pizza is? DO YOU?! So I can’t eat pizza because my insides turn into a fist when I look at bread, I still come here for pizza. I know there are some spots out here that have that gluten free sewer disk they melt cheese on and call pizza. NO. I can eat a full pie of that gluten free stuff and still be thinking about my main slice. They ain’t no side slice, the slice of pizza you hope your friends don’t see you with, the slice that hasn’t met your parents yet. Nonono, this is main material. They call you over for your order and you will be down on one knee making your girlfriend feel awkward. The pepperoni is the right kind of greasy, the Italian stallion making you think thoughts about where you are going in life, the shesochorizo smacking you in the face with that spicy flavor. Stop eating those pretenders, and come out for a slice of the contender.

Colonial Club – Menu with Prices – 322 N 6th St, Kansas City

This was my 3rd and 5th stop of a self directed Strawberry Hill pub crawl with a buddy last Saturday evening. The 3rd stop was for drinks, but the awesome vibe and the the smell of the pizza brought me back for the 5th and final stop. Colonial has an old school 50’s style neighborhood bar feel, but with hipster energy. Very diverse crowd and packed into this tiny 2 room joint eating great pizza, drinking, playing darts and jamming on some great tunes. Make sure you have your Shazam on, cause your bound to learn some great new tunes or some deep cuts from the 70’s. Patrick the bartender was as good as it gets for keeping everyone served and entertained. A hidden jewel of a club, can’t wait to return. The pepperoni pizza was awesome too!

Montes De Oca – Menu with Prices – 1740 Palm Ave #10, Hialeah

Do not order pizza from here. I ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. They sent me a personal pizza 5 inch with 1 pepperoni on top. They people who answered are gross, ignorant people. They just played games by switching us to people who spoke English and switched to spaninh several times playing a game. I could just imagine what habits they have for handling food. This place is something you do not want to experience.STAY AWAY !!!!!!!! Do not order this pizza from Uber eats

Leondardi’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 5110 Montauban Ave, Stockton

You ever heard of taco Tuesday or 2 dollar tuesday? Will here at winco they have 1 dollar slice pizza Tuesday. Best deal ever for an average slice of pizza. If you buy 10 slices just ask for a pizza box to put it in, instead of each slice being placed in a plastic bag. Friendly staff and they are willing to help you at any time. If you ever want to feed and army or have a craving for some pizza, change the date to Tuesday here at winco. The only bad side is the lines gets super packed, quick

Basta Pasta – Menu with Prices – 319 Western Ave, Cambridge

i always get a margherita pizza and i might be the only 1 here that doesn’t like tomatos. You might think I’m crazy because i’m writing a review about a pizza, but i do like tomato sauce. Now for the food. About the margherita pizza, if you love cheese like me, then i recommend this pizza to you. Why you ask, because you know a regular cheese pizza? You know when yor eating a cheese pizza and you bite into the cheese and all the cheese comes off, on a margherita pizza, there are spots of cheese through out the pizza and when you bite into the cheese and it comes off, there will be another layer of cheese. If your like me and you don’t like tomatos but you like tomato sauce, beware, sometimes they’ll put a sliced tomato on your pizza. i also got a chicken paresan and i loved it except that they put too much sauce on it.Sooooooooooooo that’s my review, bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Skirted Heifer – Menu with Prices – 5935 Dublin Blvd Suite 140, Colorado Springs

I LOVE this place. Always welcomed with such good energy. Kevin at the front is freaking awesome. He was so energetic, fun and knowledgeable. Who ever gives this place a one star review is a nut ball. I love it here always has quality meat, amazing toppings, fluffy buns and amazing homeade sauce. I never drink soda but here I DO. NY GODH THE BlackBerry soda…. IS INCREDIBLE. The creme soda is delicious too. I really cant complain and I’m so glad they opened up another location on Powers. Props to every single person who works here to include the cooks, they pop these burgers out like its nothing. And the cheese skirt on these things are out of this world, I always ask for extra crispy and they never fail me. Such harsh workers here. Seriously though gotta give props to Kevin. He was cracking us up and was so freaking energetic friendly and professional. Thanks you guys!

Golden Grain Gourmet Pizza Menu with Prices 98 Wolf Rd, Albany

i have been trying different pizza places around Colonie and i saw the calzones here were huge! We were starving and planning a very lazy Friday night so we ordered a broccoli cheese calzone, pepperoni pizza, wings and knots. First, that calzone was huge. Probably larger than a large pizza. So, if you want to order one, you don’t need anything else, unless you were feeling super gluttonous like myself. Besides its enormous size, it was very good. The marinara served with it could have benefited from some herbs and spices. the marinara was bland. The pizza went quickly cause it super good, The sauce on the pizza was definitely not the same as the side for the calzone, which was a good thing. The pizza came ‘well done’ with out even asking. The pepperoni was perfectly crisp, crust was good and it was perfectly cheesy. I would definitely order from here again. Even my BF who swears by another pizza place, loved it here. The knots and the wings were not amazing, but still good. The knots were regular, not much to rave about. the wings were very tasty, and super crispy, but not meaty or juicy. I’ve had a lot better. This place has been here a while, and i am glad I gave it a shot. It was a little pricier than other places, but I think the quality was on par with the pricing. Try the HUGE calzone!
