This location has one of the most awkward parking lots known to man and just forget about it during rush hour if you’re on the wrong side of the road! Otherwise, it’s a standard Tim’s. The hubs and I popped by last night to try the new pulled pork sandwich on the way to Rexall BUT they didn’t have any because the pulled pork wasn’t “thawed” yet… Ewww… I wish they had just said they were out. It seems Tim Horton’s doesn’t make anything anymore on site ? Gone are the good ol’ days of donuts and breads made on site. And now meat comes frozen.

Campus Donuts Menu with Prices 6401 New York Ave # 145, Arlington

One morning while driving I had an urge for Donuts. Looked to my left and saw this Donut Shop. Pulled in, Parked, Entered, and asked for 2 glazed donuts. I proceeded to pay with my Credit Card and realized that 2 donuts did not meet the minimum purchase required of $4 in order to use the Credit Card. So instead, I bought an entire dozen of donuts.. Nothing bad about the donuts, but nothing really memorable about them either. They were just Donuts..

Donut Factory – Menu with Prices – 803 S Mountain Ave, Ontario

Ok.. This place seriously has the best & freshly made donuts I’ve ever tasted! First of all, I was neverrr a fan of cake donuts growing up. In fact, I’ve tried many from all over and every cake I’ve tried were always on the DRY side, so I started to steer clear of them, until my sister brought home a dozen from her usual spot “The Donut Factory. ” I take a look inside and think, “Ewww.. what’s up with all these YUCKY CAKE donuts she picked?!? She goes on to say, that they’re her absolute favorite and to just shaddap and try one. Well, I pick a chocolate cake, chocolate frosting with nuts on top and to my huge surprise, couldn’t believe my taste buds!! This chocolate cake tasted absolutely AMAZINGGGG!! So fresh! So cake like! So yummyyy!! Omgosh! I am now a fan of cake donuts BUT, they must be from The Donut Factory lol!!! My sister continues to get her dozen donuts every now and again and I’ve gone with her a couple times. It’s family owned and the mother & daughter that serve us are so sweet and kind! Always greeting every customer as they come in, with big smiles and generous to place extra donuts in our box and/or bags every time we’ve gone. So, I can still eat glazed and what not, but if it’s from The Donut Factory, all I want are their cake donuts lol!! Thanks for my new addiction! :p

Tim Hortons – Menu with Prices – 1781 Upper Water St, Halifax

I wanted to give this Tim Hortons more stars… I really did! showed up here on my dinner break for a sammy and coffee, just because i felt like a quick no frills meal. I hate to say this but I should have gone elsewhere. ohh upper Water Street Tim Horton’s with the cold Stone Creamery why do you do this to me??? you seem so upper class for Tim Hortons! I could deal with a 20 minute wait for sandwich…. what I couldn’t deal with was how rude to staff was. They were actually nice to me, however most of the patrons I noticed they were incredibly rude to. Yes I understand it’s tourist season, in my job I deal with Tourists all day long. word to the wise they’re not that bad…. and by the way in the summertime they pay your bills. the way I saw some the staff talk to the people in line up was horrible. my little outing to Tim Hortons on Upper Water Street will be my last one to say the least. I apologize if it seems a little bit cynical but I was really not impressed with what i witnessed here today.

Graffiti Dogs – Menu with Prices – 1002 10th St, Modesto

The whole experience was great! Walked down towards brenden theaters and found out that there was a resturant i haven’t seen before next to it. It read MODESTO GRAFFITI and saw the hot dogs and sandwiches displayed on the windows, so i thought why not. Went inside and felt like I was in a old fashioned retro 1960 diner that brings in the hot rod vehicles, which the do have special events for, also the worker there had a great personality and well informed of their foods. Oh, and the food was great. I bought the FORD PULLED PORK(8.99) with some fires and a drink that totalled around 12 dollars. The sandwich consisted of two sourdough breads with there juicy pulled pork that was topped with coleslaw, which gave it a nice/fresh crunch to it. Their fries are seasoned and their condiments are some of the best. I will for sure be coming here again

Macha Tea Company – Menu with Prices – 823 E Johnson St #5, Madison

I was really excited to find a matcha specialty cafe in Madison. In Los Angeles where I live, you can easily find matcha cafes anywhere. Having to find this place with such a great review got me all hyped up with a high expectation. First things first, five stars for this place? Never. This place doesnt deserve a five star review for lots of reasons. I dont know if the matcha they use is a high ceremonial grade or whatsoever but it just doesnt cut it. I got a Matchiato which is just a matcha latte. It was served in warm temperature so it was rather easy to drink. However, it is not sweet at all. On the menu it says its sweetened but it tastes like its not sweetened at all. Even without the sweetness, it was doable however it really wasnt my style. I rather go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean and get their Matcha Latte. Theres not really anything special about it. Also got us a Matcha Redbean Cupcake and Matcha Twinkie. Matcha Twinkie was interesting since Ive never seen it before. I enjoyed this piece of delicacy the most. It wasnt too sweet but soft and moist. Matcha Redbean Cupcake was good too but it was surely sweeter than twinkie. Paring these dessert with Matcha Latte did complement each other but I wouldnt say it was the best. It was about $3 for each small dessert and our Matchiato was $4 something. It wasnt too expensive but not worth it. I can get so much better Matcha goods with this amount of money. Theres not very many Matcha specialty places with a five star rating. I only know one in Los Angeles and that place is surely a five star place acknowledged by so many locals and Yelp Elites. Its unfortunate to say but this place does not live up to its high rating and they definitely need to do something. I honestly cannot accept the fact why they have such a high rating. Service provided by our server was minimal. She was nice but that was it. Taking our plate right after we finished was unpleasant personally. The staff were busy talking to themselves and yeah, thats all I can say. Parking is strictly street parking so good luck.

Smokin Bones BBQ Menu with Prices 3003 E Abram St, Arlington

Absolutely terrible service! When I went in they were out of everything except pulled pork and sausage (this was at 4 PM and they are open until 10 pm). So I ordered the pulled pork plate. Now there were also 5 people that had placed their order before I got there and waiting for their orders in front of me, I thought not an unreasonable number.  The kitchen has to be one of the slowest I’ve ever seen. It took over 40 minutes just to get my order ready.  Also the place is pretty run down looking witch I’m actually ok with but just a heads up. The food itself was just ok at best. Cole slaw had to much sauce and green beans were surely from a can. Pulled pork was mediocre. I have no idea how this place had such a high Yelp rating.  Definitely recommend going somewhere else.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit – Menu with Prices – 4212 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo

Finally had a chance to head over to this chain. I hadn’t actually heard about it until I went to New York and found out kzoo had their own. So naturally I had to try it out myself. I dug the interior layout of the place. Very easy to find the order counter. You can order one type of meat or a couple in a platter. So I did two meats pulled pork and brisket. I really love juicy meat and not having to rely on using a sauce. Unfortunately that’s exactly what I had to do with my brisket. Pulled pork was already sauced up, no problem. However, the meat was cold which was super weird. The brisket although dry was at least hot. The meal didn’t come with any type of bread, so I’m not sure if I was to order that on the side like I did with fries. Thank goodness I had those when I got home. I was able to use the waffle fries as “bread” pieces. However, it just didn’t hid the fact that both meats were so dry. When you are playing a lot of money like that, it really sucks to have cold AND dry food. Two stars for the drink machine though I love those.

Pacific Street Café – Menu with Prices – 301 Lincoln St, Roseville

I’ve come here close to a dozen times for breakfast and have always ordered the sausage link and eggs which is outstanding, until today. Today I ordered chicken fried steak because I’m always on the lookout for a good one. Well, a good one is t to be had here. It was god awful. Tough as can be and has almost a burnt taste to it and it wasnt burned. To top my experience off- the bill for it was $3 more than what’s posted on their website and when I politely mentioned that to the waitress, she looked me dead in the eye and said “that’s not our website”. Wow. Really. Even after I showed her a picture on the site of the very table I was sitting at she still denied it, whipped out her phone and text “the owner” asking her if it was their site. LOL. I didnt stick around to see what the response was. I did tip an amount making up for the difference though only because of the insult to my intellect.

Smok?d Real BBQ – Menu with Prices – 7777 E Apache St, Tulsa

Walking up, the smell from this place was amazing. My girlfriend and I looked over the menu and decided to split the brisket tacos. I tell the woman behind the counter what we would like and she informed me that they were out of brisket. Okay, not a huge deal. We go back to looking over the menu and decide to split the 2 meat option, ribs for me and pulled pork for her. As I’m telling the cashier our new order, she tells me they are also out of pulled pork. I’m still not sure why she didn’t tell us this when she said they were out of brisket. I don’t know what else they were out of, but we decided not to stick around and find out. This was at 2 pm. They are a bbq restaurant in a fairly busy airport who doesn’t have TWO of the six meat options in the middle of the afternoon? That’s just plain poor planning. We went to another place in the terminal for a bite you eat and talked with one of their employees. From what they said, that is a very common occurrence. Apparently a lot of would be customers get irritated with the lack of available menu items and go elsewhere. I would be surprised if they make it much longer without some major changes to their operation.

Texas Beef & Cattle Company – Menu with Prices – 1101 W Third St, Dayton

Finally got to try this place as I was in the area. Lunchtime on this Saturday was packed with two biker groups who stopped in during their ride. The restaurant wasn’t quite ready for these boisterous but fun guys and were doing their best to keep up with orders. I had time to wait so talked to a couple of them that had finished. They loved all the meat they tried (brisket, pulled pork and jalapeno sausage — said it was moist and tasty), enjoyed the Borracho beans (good hunks of brisket and onions), but warned to stay away from the cornbread — said it was “dry crap). I order a sampler to go — pulled pork, regular sausage, and burnt ends instead of the sliced brisket. All very tasty but I think in all the rush they (and myself) forgot to ask for BBQ sauce. The beans were truly delicious, pulled pork a little dry, sausage was pretty good and moist, and burnt ends pretty tasty but have had better. It’s almost like they took a shortcut and just trimmed them off but didn’t soak and cook some more. We’d like to come back and try the Huge beef ribs. Worth another visit.
