This hotel was beautiful. When we arrived the valet was already outside waiting like we had called to tell him we were pulling up. I say this because it was after 8 pm and around 25 degrees outside. The lobby was nice and warm and two smiling faces awaited us at the front desk. Checking is was quick and because I was Gold elite my room was upgraded to a suite. The next morning I found out we where given a voucher for two free breakfast buffets since we chose to spend the New Year weekend here. Not that we had a choice when one of your Favorite Cousins decides to get married on New Year’s eve. Ok so back to breakfast, usually I would prefer not to do a buffet but this one was delicious! There was an omelet station with your choice of eggs (I love brown eggs) AND a large variety of veggies and meat to add in! I can’t speak for you but I love love waffles and the Chef making omlets was doing a great job multi tasking and kept the waffle station full. They had potatoes, sausage, bacon and a variety of fresh fruit. To top it all off the coffee and juices where yummy also. Our waitress took great care of us. She kept our drinks filled and made sure we were satisfied and happy with our selections. The beds where awesome I see why they are called heavenly. Our suite was very spacious with a great view of the beautiful pool and golf course. Now for my only issue …. while showering on my last night the tub backed up and freaked me out! The maintenance Man can shortly and unclogged the tub but I was not willing to be surprised again so we finished our showers in a cousins room. Honestly had that not happened I would have had a five star visit.

Station Cafe – Menu with Prices – 15211 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine

You really have to have the right expectations for a restaurant at a train station. Consider the Streamliner Lounge at the Orange Station or even Traxx at Union Station. They’re trying too hard to be something they’re not: an establishment that people would go to even if they weren’t taking a train. The owners at Station Cafe get it. Station Cafe is a small shop at the Irvine Station serving commuters and employees in the Irvine Technology Center area. The menu here is simple and consists of sandwiches, paninis, and salads. I was surprised to see that they serve Stumptown beans here instead of the usual Gavina or Farmer Brothers sludge. There’s also a breakfast menu available in the morning that deserves some attention. I tried the breakfast burrito this morning. With tax included, a breakfast burrito costs $5.38. It contains two scrambled eggs, crunchy potato cubes, jack/cheddar cheese, and your choice of meat. I opted for the bacon during my visit. All the ingredients were good and seemed to be freshly prepared to order. This is not a calorie-busting, limb-sized monster. It is about the size of a frozen burrito. While I could probably put away two of these burritos at Station Cafe, I think the price is fair for what it is. Station Cafe is a good place to grab coffee or a quick bite before catching a train ride. It might also be worth visiting if you work nearby and need variety from Flame Broiler.

Hotel at the Lafayette Trademark Collection by Wyndham – Menu with Prices – 391 Washington St, Buffalo

Stayed here for one night as a get-away to attend an event at nearby Canalside. We were so impressed with the restoration of this grand hotel. The attention to detail is outstanding. The lobby is gorgeous. We peeked into the banquet rooms and they are stunning. Would be beautiful for a wedding or event. Our room was the executive suite. tall ceilings, lots of windows, beautiful kitchenette, fireplace, flat screen TV’s. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was European style: open shower next to tub. Beautiful tile. We loved it. Had breakfast and coffee at Public on the first level-was absolutely delicious. Everything from scratch. We enjoyed some drinks in the tap room/restaurant, was great. Bar is historic and beautiful too. We were able to walk to Canalside and dinner. (Sato Brewpub, was amazing). We loved this hotel and would stay here again for sure.

Gazebo Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1501 S Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach

We came here for breakfast one day while we were in Myrtle Beach, and I was looking forward to ordering just a simple breakfast sandwich, but the only option was the breakfast buffet. So we did that. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, fried potatoes…and what we thought was an egg casserole with chunks of ham and cheese on top…but it was grits. We tried it, but I’m just not a fan. Too gritty! On the other side they had a mini make your own waffle station (I think the mini size is perfect, to avoid waste) along with fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, mini muffins, and assorted cereals. They even had shredded cheese out, I guess for the scrambled eggs or grits dish. The coffee wasn’t that great, but it was included, along with assorted juices. It was a nice spread, and reasonable for all you can eat at $9.98. I’m not a big eater, especially at breakfast time, but I enjoyed the yogurt along with fresh strawberries and grapes. I went outside after for a Starbucks, but overall it was a decent breakfast. Better than the buffet at our hotel! Our waitess was very friendly. Not a fan of the loud country music though. Just sayin’.

Bluff View Inn – Menu with Prices – 411 E 2nd St, Chattanooga

We spent three nights here while in Chattanooga on business. Lovely location in a clean safe neighborhood, walking distance to lots of restaurants and to the River Walk. There is a bikeshare station around the corner, too. Fireplace! Terrace! Very quiet. Gorgeous view. Loved the sculpture garden across the street. In-room toiletries were great, loved the scents. Nice big bathroom. They cleaned our room every day even though we had the “do not disturb” sign up. This is a pet peeve of mine as we keep our room quite clean and neat and really don’t need housekeeping to come in every day of a short stay. Staff was polite if a bit reserved. Food at the complimentary breakfast (at Rembrandt’s) was not as yummy as we expected, given how awesome the coffee was there. For example: eggs were pre-formed, fruit was flavorless and cold. The windows in the room were sealed so we could not air out the room, it was stuffy. The bed was super squeaky and the outlets hard to access. Not dealbreakers, but inconvenient enough that we grumbled. We’d consider staying here again if we were to return to Chattanooga. That Rembrandt’s cafe was just steps from our room — and stayed open so late (I think 9 or 10 pm) — was a huge plus for us.

730 Tavern, Kitchen & Patio – Menu with Prices – 730 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge

This review is only for the breakfast buffet on Mother’s and the service we recieved. I literally only took a point off because the mozzarella sticks were not hot & gooey and they only had one meat option at the carving station. Also the omelettes that we ordered from the omelette station were a little dry (should have used an olive oil) and stingy on the cheese. We went this last Sunday for mother’s day and had a great time! This used to be the old Tavern in The Square location which had a Sunday breakfast buffet. Since no other restaurants have a traditional buffet anymore it’s nice to have these guys close by. We arrived as soon as it opened and were seated right away even without a reservation. Everyone was SUPER friendly and welcoming! The options were interesting and plentiful. Along the window there is plenty of fresh fruit, and many cakes, muffins and other Continental buffet choices, to the right of that was a carving station featuring roast pork – I don’t eat pork anymore but it was beautiful! Lol To the left of the dessert table there was a beautiful and fresh tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil salad display! This is one of my fav salads! They also had other green salad options. The hot bar featured a combo of breakfast and lunch options from Eggs Bennie and sausage to fried plaintains and grilled mixed veggies! I love the fact that there were a lot of vegetarian options! Even though I am not a vegetarian sometimes I just like a variety of fruits and veggies! The also had grilled pineapple! Yum! The mozzarella sticks were not hot and gooey, but they were tasty and breading was crunchy so it was a trade off. Lol. All in all, it’s a great place with lots of variety for only $17! Service was great too! I forget my servers name but she was super friendly and kind even though my family likes to linger after we paid the check! I added pictures but the pics don’t do it justice. Go visit for yourself.

Glidden House – Menu with Prices – 1901 Ford Dr, Cleveland

Exemplary service & surroundings at this beautiful hotel in the lovely Wade Oval!! We stayed nearby at a different hotel during our last visit & saw this place as we drove to the nearby Art Museum. It was so lovely on the outside, and after reading the great reviews, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did!! They treated us wonderfully, and everywhere throughout the hotel there were nice touches like fresh cut flower arrangements, and windows with lovely views. The other guests we encountered were all very polite. We arrived on a Wednesday evening when there was a music festival in the area. We were greeted by a friendly doorman & then by a helpful front desk person who checked us in & instructed us where to park. They had their parking lot blocked off with a man standing by to allow hotel guests into the lot. We were happily surprised that there was complimentary, secure on-site parking. Throughout the evening we saw security guards strolling around the perimeter of the property & the doorman made rounds inside, which made us feel like the hotel made guest safety a top priority. Big points for us! We got a double room because we were there with our two kids. The room was clean & the decor was in good shape. It had a dresser, one wingback chair, a small table, and 2 vanities – one in the bathroom & one just outside the bathroom. The beds were comfortable & super HIGH off the ground! I’m short & had to climb onto the bed. There was a choice of lofty and flat pillows, and the sheets/bedding were soft. The A/C had a choice of leaving the fan set to “on”, which we always prefer for both air circulation and white noise while sleeping. It kept the room comfortably cool on the two sweltering days of our stay. Would have preferred a suite, but the site says the suites only accommodate 2. I wish they would have sleeper sofas in the suites so they sleep 4, then we could have had a little more roominess. But, the double bed accommodation was adequate for our needs. The bathroom was clean, well lit, & modern. Water pressure was great. We liked the hotel’s choice of toiletries. Housekeeping did a good job & were friendly & helpful, supplying us with extra towels on request. Breakfast was included with the room, and they put on a great spread! Each morning there was an egg dish such as sous vide eggs or frittatas, a pancake or waffle option, a meat option, some type of potatoes or home fries, yogurt with fresh fruit & granola options, oatmeal with multiple topping choices, cold cereals and several different pastries. The pastries weren’t your typical cardboard variety. These were fresh & good, like they were baked locally by someone who knew what they were doing. Drink options included coffee, several tea options, juices, milk & iced water. The servers were very helpful. We loved the dining areas; the carved wood & leaded glass windows were so beautiful & made for a relaxing breakfast in gracious surroundings. My husband (who I consider the “Simon Cowell” of the hospitality industry ? ) suggested this be our regular place to stay when in the area, and he kept saying he wanted to schedule some “us time” here in the near future. That speaks volumes about the quality of our stay. In addition, the pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend this hotel!

Coffee Fixx Menu with Prices 3020 SW 6th Ave, Amarillo

Twice before I meant to go here but I kept ending up at the wrong place. Today I got it right and was sure glad I did. This is a great little spot, only open till 2 p.m. but their breakfast is great. I bet their other food is too. I got the breakfast special which was $6 for two eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and choice of toast or pancake. I’m not a big pancake fan but I had a good feeling about this place so I ordered it. The pancake was wonderful. The eggs were wonderful. I wish I had remembered to ask the guy to cook the hash browns extra crispy but they were still good flavored. Oh, and the breakfast includes coffee. Triple strength coffee. I haven’t had coffee that strong for ages. I may not sleep for a week. I forgot to ask the guy behind the counter if he was the owner (I’m pretty sure he was) or just a very good employee but he was very pleasant, welcoming, and informative when I asked questions. I thought maybe the place was new since I hadn’t heard of it before but he said they’ve been there for 2 years so maybe it just didn’t show up on my Yelp results because it’s too far from where I’m staying. Do I recommend this place to others? Absolutely!

The Bakery Mill – Menu with Prices – 1143 NW 76th Blvd, Gainesville

During my college years, some 25 years ago, I would get great muffins from a place called The Mill. While visiting I looked up the place to no avail but this place, Mill Bakery and Deli, hit the spot. Their selection of muffins were great and my Blackberry choice hit all the necessary gooey and yummy notes to satiate my needs. My breakfast sandwich, croissant sausage and cheese, brought me out of my sleep mode without being overwhelming. Plus, the serverâ??s question of if I wanted ketchup â??forcedâ? me to get a side of hash browns. Great choice Bob or Don or whatever you courteous and helpful server was! My wife had â??not too eggyâ? French Toast with a side of ham that she thoroughly enjoyed. Plus a couple muffins to go. Oh, the coffee was good and hot. All in all, my new favorite Hogtowne breakfast spot.

Big Eyed Fish – Menu with Prices – 1502 N Wells St, Fort Wayne

Update 7/21/19 Took my mom here for breakfast, first time, always only had lunch or dinner. First & foremost, had great service from Shanita. Beyond pleasant & some of the best service you could get. Five stars for the service. Refreshing to see such a genuine smile & attentive service. A level of service I generally see at high end restaurants, exemplary. Mom had an omelette (your choice of 3 ingredients) hash browns, raisin toast & included coffee. I had 2 eggs, toast & coffee ($2.50). Both together were under $10, including 2 cups of coffee. Can’t beat that for a hot breakfast served by a smiling face. While I like the fish here a lot, the breakfast blew me away. I wish I had tried it sooner, who knew ??

Aroma Catering Company – Menu with Prices – 2711 S Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne

We needed a new breakfast place, had seen Aroma opened, stopped in today. Don’t let the industrial appearance deter you, inside is bright and spotless, staffed by wonderful smiling people. I had fish and grits, came with eggs and toast, I could eat the fish every day. My wife had yummy eggs and toast. With one coffee, the tab was right at 20$ before tip. A great value, glad we went.

Castillo’s Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1724 N Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater

We went for breakfast with our relative who lives in Clearwater and recommended this restaurant for breakfast. I had the usual bacon & eggs, English muffin & grits. The cook got the order perfect and our breakfast was delicious. My husband had the Mexican omelet and loved it. Their coffee was very smooth and good, a welcomed relief from the hotel room coffee. This place does not look like much from the outside but the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff makes up for it.

Steam Restaurant and Bar – Menu with Prices – 9 Estell Lee Pl, Wilmington

At the restaurant ” STEAM” The salads and the soup was specially delicious. The noodle dish I wasn’t fond of the flavors, and our waitress “Brittney” removed it, apologized and brought me another choice. She was an attentive waitress. The bread is Fresh & crispy with lots of fresh butter. The staff are very accommodating and cordial. The hotel is beautiful And very modern and upscale. It’s a little noisy in the “Steam” restaurant because of the acoustic value is lacking because of all the flat walls and the glass. I would highly recommend this for a gathering of a large group of people that can accommodate you. The managers cocktail hour was fabulous. Brad, the bartender was amazing and kept us laughing. He even made a birthday drink for my sister and named it “Sandy”. It made her night. it was a wonderful evening dinner and getting to meet new faces at the cocktail hour. Check in with “Christopher” was a breeze. The bellhop was very helpful too.The hotel suite was fresh and modern. Beds were extra comfy and there was a huge TV in bedroom and living room. The bar/sink was perfect and small frig and microwave was perfect for late night herbal tea and popcorn. The complimentary breakfast was four star. Fresh custom omlettes, cereal, french toast, pancakes, bacon & sausage, bagel, muffins, fresh fruit, OJ & apple juice. Nice coffee bar with to go cups or mugs. We will definately return.
