OMGGGOODNESS! This place was quite yummy and a very wonderful gem to come across! Looking for this restaurant, it is hard to find! It’s tucked inside a small strip mall so you have to look closely but don’t let the location fool you! When you walk in, there isn’t many seating available at all- I mean max occupancy is 25 people so I suggest getting there early if you have a few people. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were extremely kind. They have a menu on the wall and you order at the counter then have a seat and the food is brought to you. THEIR DAUGHTER IS THE CUTEST EVER! She wanted to help out her mom, so her mom put on her little apron and she “served” us the utensils, plates and napkins. HOW CUTE IS THAT?! When she got back to her mom, she looked so pleased with herself! Why shouldn’t she?! She did a fabulous job at it! Aside from that, the food was absolutely AMAZING! We got the Harald and Kumar Poutine, the Rice Rice Baby and the Mochiko Chick. Let me tell you, all 4 of us were extremely satisfied with everything! The Harald and Kumar Poutine was flavorful- like fries and gravy but with their own twist to the dish. I honestly thought the Rice Rice Baby was going to be just like any ‘ol fried rice, but to my surprise, it had fresh and crisp flavors like kimchi. YUMMMYYY! I have to say, the Mochiko Chick is so juicy! Crispy on the outside and juicy as hell on the inside. The chicken wasn’t too salty either, which is such a plus!!! We got some of the baos with chicken as well and we got mochi donuts! The chicken baos were so good! The chicken was (I think) the same as the mochiko chicken and placed in this soft pillow bao. It was heavenly biting into a cloud like outer shell, then combining it with the crispiness of the chicken only to be filled with the juices from the chicken…ugh. I wish I was back to get some. Lastly, their mochi donuts had just the right amount of chewiness to it and the right amount of sweetness to it. I’m glad the sizes were pretty small (like 2 bite pieces) because if it were any bigger, I think I would’ve gotten tired of it quickly. All in all, I am going to come back to this place when I’m in town. So worth the drive and so worth the wait. Such a wonderful little hidden gem in the city of Glendale.

Chick-fil-A – Menu with Prices – 3113 W Olive Ave, Burbank

I have been to many different Chick-fil-A. I was hungry and I have been watching all this hoopla all over the Internet about Popeyes and Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich challenges. Now, I have always enjoyed getting a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A I’ve never had the one from Popeyes yet… So on this day I decided to go to Chick-fil-A in Burbank. First of all I was extremely irritated because there was no parking. When I say no parking I mean no parking zero. Like literally there was not a space at all they were people going around and around trying to get a space even the street parking was full. Thats my biggest problem with this place. It’s too big for the amount of parking spaces allotted. I finally found a spot… One small victory I thought to myself. I get out and I go inside and the line is like 30 people deep…I was like how am I ever going to get a sandwich and get out of here in less than 20 minutes… Well I was completely surprised to see how they streamline the service inside someone comes around with like an iPad type situation and asks you what you want, you give the order to them and then you go and pay and then wait and then they call your name I have never been to a Chick-fil-A that was like that or maybe they all just changed like that but it was actually very efficient and I got my sandwich in 10 minutes…faster than in and out! Let’s talk about my sandwich, I got the spicy chicken deluxe…just a sandwich I don’t need all the other stuff. The sandwich is enough on its own. It was the best Chick-fil-A spicy deluxe sandwich I have had in my entire life! Burbank puts it down and they know what they’re doing! I ate it in my car and inhaled it in like seven minutes! Yaaaasssss!

Chick-fil-A – Menu with Prices – 4201 Coldwater Rd, Fort Wayne

Tasty food up at the Chick-fil-A! The chicken sandwich is nothing short of incredible, it’s very juicy and fresh. Unlike other fast food chains, Chick-fil-A is giving you top quality chicken that you don’t question what’s in it. I love the waffle fries and the freshness of the food here. It’s always piping hot and delicious. This establishment is inside Glenbrook mall down at the food court and yes it’s worth checking out. I would say it’s the best restaurant in the food court. This is my favorite location to come to. I like the mall and the food court is spacious and pretty clean with good scenery. Christian based business that serve you proper and without all the fillers and stuff you don’t want, no nano fibers in the chicken like mcdonalds chicken nuggets. I would go as far to say the chicken here beats KFC and they have become more questionable over the years putting hormones in it’s chicken. Chick-fil-A doesn’t play these games.

Fill Bakeshop & Creamery – Menu with Prices – 1767 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa

We were pretty excited to see that “ponde ringu” Mochi donuts we’re available in SoCal since it’s one of our favorite snacks in Japan, from Mister Donut. We did the hour drive down to Newport Beach to see what was up with these, and how it compares to Japanese Mister Donut. Overall they’re pretty dang close. They definitely captured the right amount of chewiness and overall didn’t taste too sweet (like Mister Donut). Fill has it’s own take by putting on different glaze toppings to give them unique flavors. The one thing I was missing from Fill is a simple glazed Mochi donut. Overall, while good, I didn’t think the various flavors were anything outstanding and that only made me wish they did a simple glazed even more. The highlight for me was the matcha-White chocolate, since I love most anything matcha and the icing they use def had a clear matcha flavor. I also liked the strawberry icing donut. Very strong strawberry flavor which was nice. My next favorite was the milk and cereal. This was the closest to a plain glazed and I suppose if you take off the bits of captain crunch it would be a plain glazed. The other flavors were fine (guava cheesecake, coffee and cream, coconut) but I probably would just stick to the other three if we’re down here again. The biggest difference to Mister Donut in japan is the cost. These donuts are 2.60 each ($33 for a dozen after tax – whoa!!!), Mister Donut is about 1.25 – $2 (for the fancy seasonal filled Mochi donut) but obviously if we’re not in Japan, Fill will give us our “fill” of tasty Mochi donuts. Worth checking out for sure if you’re homesick for Mister Donut ã?ã?³ã??ã?ªã?³ã?°

Korean Bakery & Deli – Menu with Prices – 9520 Garden Grove Blvd #12, Garden Grove

Wow! $6 is more than I like to pay for rice cakes (Dduk / Tteok), but for these it was well worth it. I got an assortment of 3 kinds (see photo), with much more total weight that I’m used to getting for $5 elsewhere. More importantly, all 3 types were fresh and really tasty. My favorite were the flavor bombs (that’s my name; I don’t know what they’re actually called). You pop one into your mouth and bite, and liquid goodness floods your taste buds – yum! I also bought two HUGE mochi ($3 for the pair), which were literally the best I’ve ever had. One had red bean filling, the other mung bean. Both were great, because as others have said, the filling to dough ratio is wonderful. Service was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you like Dduk and/or Mochi.

Fat Straws Bubble Tea – Menu with Prices – 1251 W Campbell Rd, Richardson

I’ve been curious about the mochi donuts that I see so much on Instagram, so I had to make a stop here after a yummy lunch in Dallas. First off, this boba shop is huge compared to other boba shops. There’s plenty of space, as well as seating for you and your folks to hang out, chill, work play games, etc. The space is very clean, bright, and colorful. Also, the lighting is pretty good here, for ya IG like chasers. I had my eyes on the mochi donuts, and I decided to try one flavor: black sesame. I figure that I should try a super unique flavor with this unique dessert. In addition, my dude got a coconut milk tea and I got a thai tea for the heck of it. The black sesame mochi donut was delicious. I loved the texture of this donut: slightly crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. The black sesame flavor was amazing to me, as it was salty and sweet – super unique! The milk teas that we got were pretty bland, however. I am not sure I would get teas again here, but perhaps I give it another try with a different selection. Overall, the highlight for me was the mochi donuts. I’m glad I finally had a chance to try and I would definitely would like to try more flavors, and get the black sesame again for sure!

Leopold’s Tavern Winnipeg Osborne – Menu with Prices – 696 Osborne St, Winnipeg

+.5 for service This place has an amazing breakfast selection. At least, that’s all I had here so far, but looking at options such as a bucket of bacon, I definitely believe there’s a lot to offer here. Their breakfast club menu has lots of wonderful choices including chicken and waffles and the hangover cure. I went with the breakfast club brekkie with bacon and poutine. Needless to say I’m glad I went with their bacon. It really deserves the hype it does! I attended a friend’s wedding at the Park Theatre beside the restaurant last year, and Leopold’s served them a bucket of bacon since they mentioned how they love bacon so much. It was great then and it’s still great today. The eggs were prepared well and the poutine was worth the $2.50 extra given the portion size (huge!). Service was excellent and the servers were very efficient with their work here. I’d definitely return to try their dinner menu, or have a night at a South Osborne bar.

Rocky’s Burgers – Menu with Prices – 1235 26 Ave SE, Calgary

Stopped by this afternoon, and grabbed myself the bacon cheeseburger, and they’re poutine! The burger was phenomenal, huge think juicy patty that was delightful to eat, fresh bun aswell as fresh toppings! Loved the thick cut bacon slices! All and in this was one of my favorite burgers! The poutine was mindblowing, exceptional gravy, that complimented the cheese curds and perfectly cooked and cut fries! The owners where lovely folks, who we had great conversations with! 10/10 will be back for more burgers and chats In the future!

Royal Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1628 N NW Loop 323, Tyler

I was in town visiting family and donuts were wanted. So, I chose the donut shop closest to me . First of all, they have a drive-thru, which is wonderful! I rarely see this with donut shops . The prices were very good . You can get 6 donuts for less than $4. The donuts are light and airy with the perfect amount of glaze. They melt in your mouth . Watch out because you may eat a couple! But go ahead, INDULGE! I didn’t realize they had biscuits. I will try that next time . Definitely, one of the best in town!

Chick-fil-A Menu with Prices 737 Albany Shaker Rd, Albany

This location of Chick-fil-A pisses me off. I try not to get emotional when writing reviews, but, my deep love for the chain has gotten the better of me. To be fair, my experience was fine, but they’re obviously doing something wrong evidencedâ?? by the high number of one and two-starâ?? reviews. If you are not familiarâ?? with Chick-fil-A, do not use this location as a yardstick for the chain overall. Those of us who adoreâ?? the chain know that above all, friendly, accommodatingâ?? serviceâ?? and deliciousâ?? pickle juice brined chicken sandwiches are paramount to the Chick-fil-A experience. Nevertheless, allow me to present an ordering guide to Chick-fil-A for any newbies out there. Pro tip 1) Do not under any circumstances get any of the biscuit sandwiches that are sold during breakfast hours. Chick-fil-A’s biscuits are terrible. If you’re in the airport in the morning, turn yourâ?? nose up in the air, and stroll right on by. Pro tip 2) Skip the overrated waffle fries. People love to rave about the waffles fries. I say “Poppycock.” They’re fine, but really, they’re not anything special. Why waste precious calories on something that’s just ok? Save those calories for the chicken. Pro tip 3) Get the original chicken sandwich and nothing else. Yes, the original chicken sandwich is why these guys are so beloved (aside from their fantastic service). It’s a thing of beauty — pure genius in its simplicity. Don’t bother with any of the deluxe sandwiches either,â?? get the original chicken sandwich that is a piece of chicken with pickles on a bun. Pro tip 4) Get a bottle of water and skip the sweet tea or other sugary high-calorie drinks. Again, you’ll want to save every preciousâ?? calorie for the chicken. Pro tip 5) Do put mayo on your original chicken sandwich. The sandwich needs a little moisture, and mayo complementsâ?? the other componentsâ?? perfectly. Now that you know what to do, step up to the counter and get two original chicken sandwiches. Better yet, get three. The sandwiches are small. Any normal person can easily eat two. But if you’re like me and revel in every delicious bite of that juicy, tender pickle juice brined chicken, get three sandwiches, and as mentioned don’t forget to slather mayo on them before you devour them.

Grilled Cheese Gallery – Menu with Prices – 16 Cathedral Pl, St. Augustine

It’s a mom & pop shop, so I’m rounding up to 4/5, even though it felt more like 3.5/5, which is why Yelp needs this option IMO! The side of FRENCH FRIES (2/5) were meant to be used for poutine and needed to be freshly dropped – instead they were soft. The gravy used for the SCARLETT POUTINE (3/5) was overly salty…someone was def. heavy handed – topped with a good amount of grilled chicken (needed to be warmer). The SOUTHEREN BELLE (4/5) sandwich included soft strips of chicken & a lot of cheesiness with a golden & crispy exterior from the butter – highly recommend dipping it in the small container of tomato bisque, which I wish we got more because it was so yummy. I loved it that they brought the food over within 10-15 min. of ordering from Ancient City Brewing while my family & I tried to cool down with a couple beers each after walking around downtown St. Augustine in the intense heat!

MJ Cafe & Teahouse – Menu with Prices – 701 N Milliken Ave Unit C, Ontario

Did not know MJ Café now serves hot pot along with boba, appetizers, and desserts. My friend and I were craving something sweet after a fulfilling meal, and MJ was pretty much the only dessert shop that was still open on a late Friday night. It’s located by the 10 freeway in a fairly large plaza – no parking difficulties at all. I’ve been to MJ’s original location in Rowland Heights, so I know their boba and milk tea is fairly on point. Since it was too late, we opted to just order snacks and dessert. This location is pretty big with a good number of tables inside; whimsical lighting hanging from the ceiling, brick walls on one side, and marble-like tables. There’s also some tables outside, which we took advantage of. The downside was that it took forever to get someone’s attention to take our order. We ended up going inside and alerting a worker. Popcorn chicken with serrano chili and garlic: $5.99 for a pretty good amount of chicken – we ordered these to be mild, but with the added serrano chili, I thought the spiciness level was more than I expected. The garlic on top was actually minced garlic along with some seasoning and sliced serrano chilis. Popcorn chicken was decent – juicy on the inside, but not too dry on the outside. Would not mind ordering this again if I was craving popcorn chicken. MJ Magic Mochi Waffle Saucy Fruity: $7.99 Actually saw a few other tables order this as well. For $8, the amount of fruit along with about 8 or so slices of perfectly crispy on the outside yet incredibly chewy waffle – price is super worth it and definitely a dish I wouldn’t mind ordering again. I haven’t had a good mochi waffle for awhile now and this was amazing! With the brown sugar and honey poured on top as well as the vanilla ice cream, the waffle had just the right amount of crunch on the outside. Yet when we bit into it, had that chewiness that is kinda reminiscent of stringy cheese. Eating each bite with banana and strawberry … everything went super well together. tl;dr – Definitely highly recommend this place for desserts. I think their teas are pretty good, as well as their hot pot dishes, but I can only account for what we ordered. And both things were quite tasty and things I wouldn’t mind ordering again.

The American Poutine Co. – Menu with Prices – 1395 E Warner Rd Suite 100, Gilbert

Let me preface this review by saying I am Canadian AF and if you cut me open I’d probably bleed cheese curds and poutine gravy. Finally got to try American Poutine Co by catching them at Gilbert Feastival. I was super excited because I love that they’ve brought poutine, a dirty Canadian staple, to the desert. Unfortunately have a few critiques on their poutine which ultimately missed the mark for me! Poutine is pretty much a delicious SLOP of fries, drowning in gravy with cheese curds that are squeaky bouncy fresh, yet also softened from the piping hot gravy. For me there just wasn’t enough gravy. Next, it wasn’t hot enough to adequately soften the fries OR cheese curds. Overall, this made the texture of the whole thing all wrong – as it was too crispy and dry, cheese curds were cold and hard, and there were a lot of uncoated, hard fries at the bottom. I’m not sure if they choose to make it this way since a sloppy slightly-mushy poutine isn’t maybe what Americans customers think they want. But that’s what makes real poutine amazing – it’s a sloppy dirty mess of deliciousness and when you get down to the bottom of the tub the fries should still be sitting in gravy! Maybe next time I could ask for extra – but I’m still glad American Poutine Co exists, and I would definitely give em another shot to try and win this canadian glutton’s heart.
