I have been meaning to try this place out but there limited hours make it hard. Not sure why they do not do a breakfast. Could be a simple as offering some bagels with some cream cheese and maybe lox. They do have lunch with either salad or bowl. Place is kosher and leans toward Mediterranean. I got the med chicken Bowl which was a bit pricey but got fair amount of food and a real bowl. Were nice enough to get a cup of ice as the cokes were recently put out and not very cold. The food itself was fairly bland as did not get much red pepper flavor from sauce and should have asked for more sauce as couscous was dry. The sides and chicken all could have used more salt and olive oil. Realize competing against places that use tons of butter which not possible in meat kosher place but does not excuse having raw peppers in a hot bowl. I might come back to try something else as hate to write off place after one dish.

Ziziki’s at The Star – Menu with Prices – 6765 Winning Dr #800, Frisco

Each day of the week it seems like they do some sort of special. We went on a Friday which meant 1/2 off cocktails! Atmosphere/service: very sophisticated, and more fancy than I thought it would be. But not to the point where you can’t wear jeans. The service was great, they checked on us for refills of our water and drinks and cleared away empty plates. Food/price: 4/5 The food was overall, great. Our table shared some appetizers including the calamari, the hummus with pita, and the flaming cheese (called something else on the menu). – calamari: so crispy and light. Comes with a white and red sauce that you can dip it in that compliments the dish really well. I love calamari so this is always something I order and I’m glad it didn’t disappoint! – hummus dip: comes with 3 different types of hummus (red bell pepper, bean or olive (?), and just regular chickpea), some sautéed onions, and black olives. Bell pepper is actually the one vegetable I don’t eat so I can’t speak highly of the red hummus but everyone at the table loved it. The hummus is creamy and the pita bread is wonderfully toasted. – flaming cheese: my least favorite. Besides being an aesthetically awesome appetizer because they literally do light it on fire. The cheese tasted so much like gasoline/alcohol that I couldn’t bear it. Entree: I had the salmon with couscous and asparagus. Amazing. The couscous was the winner here. It really soaked up the flavors of the butter and whatever stock they used to cook it in. I could eat a whole bowl of it. The salmon was well cooked, not dry or anything. As for the drinks, I had the berry Mojito and the onassi. the onassi was my favorite. If you like elderflower then pick this!

Couscous House – Menu with Prices – 1611 Morse Rd, Columbus

After much anticipation, Couscous House has finally opened. It’s located in a new strip on Morse Road near Karl. The restaurant is Chipotle style, which means you go through a line where you select your bowl size, and toppings. There are several grains to choose from: rice, couscous, whole wheat couscous, etc. From there you select chicken, steak or drums. The toppings are where things get really interesting and tasty. I loved the selection of steamed carrots, cabbage, zucchini, squash, caramelized onion, potatoes, etc. They top that off with a flavorful broth of your choice. The next stop is cold veggies and sauces. We sampled the Moroccan tea. It was really good, so of course we had to purchase a few cups. They also have soft drinks and homemade cookies. The restaurant is super clean and the people working there were very friendly. We all ordered the chicken bowl and enjoyed the flavors. I only gave it a four because i think the meat servings were a little small, but I was full and satisfied after eating my bowl. I’m happy to have this in my area, and plan to return.

Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 9026 Archibald Avenue (7th & Archibald, Rancho Cucamonga

I purchased two half-chicken dinners here yesterday. They were cooked to my order and I had to wait a bit for my order. This was OK by me because the chicken was still very hot when I got it home (I live a 15 minute or so frome this location). Fancy that, HOT commercial fried chicken that had not been sitting in a hot case for who-knows how long drying out, whoo-HOO! Service was good and friendly. The pieces were quite large; they must be using the grocery store chickens, you know, the 5-6 pounders Vons and such sell (hard to find a true 3-4 lb fryer because they are all sold to the chains). Nice chicken flavor, not super salty like a LOT the stuff at other chains and grocery stores. The chicken breasts were cut in half because they were of the type that weights 12 oz plus, gigantor size, which is just fine by me. I had chicken breast that was VERY juicy, properly cooked! Everything else was nicely cooked too. The meat had a nice texture. It was not brined I am sure. Brining tends to make fried chicken more soft in texture. The texture and flavor of this was chicken and not of chickeny-salt. The collards were seasoned with some bacon and were tasty but way too salty. Beans and rice, well, the beans were not seasoned other than salt; nothing to write home about. The rolls were a standard white dinner roll and ok. This was decent, basic fried chicken and I would consider purchasing from here again because the chicken was not too salty, DID taste like chicken and was freshly cooked for me. The sides were meh. Recommended for a fresh, cooked, tasty and HOT (though not seasoned other than salt and pepper) fried chicken. Note: The chicken in fried in the same oil that the fish is fried in. This is not objectionable to me when the chicken is hot. When the chicken is cold, the fish flavor it quite evident. Remember to buy it then eat it HOT.

Southern Classic Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 3651 Hollywood Ave, Shreveport

Well first off i love Southern Classic chicken i been going to this place since the hollywood location opened here lately i been going to the North Market location they are friendly at this location but here lately they have been putting so much salt on the fries you cant hardly eat/enjoy them so i decided i wanted to start getting fries with lite salt so went to north market location today 8/31 orderd my food and fries with lite salt and a pepper get home with my order no pepper and fries full of salt so i called the manager about the heavy salt she was so UNPROFESSIONAL i shared with her about the heavy salt and that i ordered lite salt on my fries and i got heavy salt plus i didnt get my pepper first she has me on speaker phone telling me that the girl can hear me while im talking about the pepper the manager also tell me that everyone in the world wants extra salt on their fries and that me and her might be the only 2 that like lite salt she also said that they cant controll how the seasoning come out the salt shaker because of the big holes and they dont even have a lite salt button so i might need to orfer my fries without salt because its no way i can get lite salt on my fries but to me why order a fry with out seasoning and the seasonings is wht make the fries good they just need to put the proper amount without over doing things but i wont go bk

The Halal Guys Menu with Prices Alexandria Commons, 3167 Duke St, Alexandria

I’ll admit, I was excited in the beginning when The Halal Guys were making their push down here to Virginia. Because come on, if they have huge success selling plates of food from a street cart in NYC, surely us country bumpkins would appreciate it just as much, right? I don’t. But wow, I bet this is exactly the same stuff as what they’re serving from the food cart up north. Maybe this comes from the bias that I have from Roti Mediterranean. If you ordered a chicken rice bowl from Roti, compared to a Halal Guys you’re looking at saving $1 right there. And guess what, you get waaay more at Roti thrown into that bowl. I’m talking free humus, which is extra at Halal guys, and they have a good 5 extra toppings that you can add to your bowl (Veggies!, lots of them), plus couscous, tomato and cucumber, and feta. It’s awesome. I’m sorry, but even adding a whole gallon of that white sauce won’t add up to the flavor you get from all the ingredients Roti offers up. And you will need that sauce because I found their chicken and lamb very dry and not packing any flavor by itself. It was pure hype. Maybe they had some marketing geniuses selling this stuff, but I’m no longer buying it.

Asian Express – Menu with Prices – 4880 Lower Roswell Rd #110, Marietta

This is an addendum to my earlier review (below). I have been back numerous times now, and the service has been outstanding each time, and the food has only gotten better. The egg rolls have improved, with the restaurant now making larger ones for the same price. They are also well-filled now. This is a great example of the owner taking constructive criticism and improving their products. There is no meal that we fail to order these treasures. Ask for the house-made spicy mustard, and mix it with a generous amount of soy sauce, for a nice dipping sauce. I have had the General Tso’s chicken again (as part of the Phoenix and Dragon, whose Phoenix component – spicy shrimp – was dreadful, I’m sad to say). This time the chicken was crispier, and the broccoli green and not over-cooked. So, I’d get the General’s chicken by itself again. We have now tried both the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, and the Salt & Pepper Calamari several times. Both dishes are phenomenal, with the shrimp edging out the calamari because the calamari is a bit over-battered. The flavor is fantastic, with the chilies, onions, and bell pepper slices adding some interest. The shrimp themselves are large, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside – cooked perfectly. This is my wife’s favorite dish, and I share her enthusiasm. The Singapore Mei Fun (rice noodles, sauteed with shrimp, roast pork, chicken, onions, eggs and other veggies, with a curry flavor) is great too. The plain fried chicken wings are crispy and juicy and super-flavorful from the garlic-soy marinade they were in before frying. They are some of the best I’ve had. See my previous notes about the lo mein, spare ribs and moo-shu pork.

Quaker Steak & Lube – Menu with Prices – In the airport, Concourse B, 5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland

Airport food is not known for its quality and value. So, I’m here mostly for convenience and opportunity and went in with low expectations. I was greeted by a blonde woman still sucking down a chicken bone. She seemed bothered that she had to walk away from her plate of wings to take my order. I ordered the Bloody Mary because it looked good in the photo. Unlike the photo, she added nothing to the rim what looks like should have been tajin. It was the blandest most tomato juice drink ever. I added hot sauce, black pepper, and even salt to give it some sort Bloody Mary flavor- I don’t even taste the vodka so, I don’t even have that help. Actually, it could be mixed with water too it’s so watered down and easy to drink. In fact, two women sat next to me at the bar and also ordered Bloody Marys and I overheard them talking saying, so you taste alcohol? The other woman said no, and I think it needs pepper or something. I handed them my pepper, salt, and hot sauce and told them this will make it a little better. The omelet was pretty eh, and something you’d get at concession stands served on a paper plate. The home fries like everything else bland AF. NO FLAVOR ANYWHERE! There are tons of old white people here, so maybe it’s a regional flavor thing? Not worth the visit unless you just wang soda or water.

Pascone’s Ristorante’ – Menu with Prices – 5239 University Pkwy, Bradenton

We found the menu overpriced & the food oddly lacking in flavor. . The calamari app was quite good. The menu describes as a tempura. Lacking was a â??heads upâ? on the hot pepper flakes attached to the batter. Although I enjoyed the addition, my dining partner did not. It was a bit greasy but edible. 2 sauces came as sides. One was a very good red sauce, the other some kind of olive aioli w/clam juice base. Really? If there was clam juice in that concoction, Iâ??ll eat my hat. Lots of good olive oil tho & something I couldnâ??t quite put my finger on, which gave it a little extra body. My best guess would be some type of nut paste. At any rate it was fairly horrid when joined w/the calamari. The 2 flavors collided. The good news is that the when slathered on the bread, it turned into a beautiful thing. Best part of the meal.. We both ordered a Caesar salad w/grilled salmon. . The salad had all the excitement and flavor of a damp shoebox & was about the size of a small side salad @other restaurants. The salmon was tepid & tasteless. For $22 per dish, we were disappointed. . Initially I was going to get the eggplant but didnâ??t feel the urge to shell out over $20 for it. . One & done for me. Much ado about little, IMHO.. Even if the the flavor & portions were decent, still overpriced. . Service was OK. Our waitperson called me â??honeyâ?.

Northern Bites Cafe – Menu with Prices – 223 D Fresh Dr, Myrtle Beach

We will definitely be returning! The food was DELICIOUS & CHEAP! We each got a 12′ cheesesteak, that were jammed packed with meat and cheese! I was only able to eat a quarter! We also got the pretzel bites. They had a rich buttery flavor which paired nicely with honey mustard. I wish they had used to the bigger salt (Kosher I believe) instead of table salt. Only negative thing I could possible say was the gentleman, younger, dark hair, and glasses was not very friendly and didn’t not look up from his newspaper when talking to us. Overall I would recommend!

May Flower Chinese Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 941 W Elliot Rd #6, Chandler

2.0 star rating 6/21/2019 First to Review A small restaurant just behind IHOP, Alma School/Elliot in the Fry’s complex, open from 11AM to 9PM seven days a week. They opened one week ago they said. A small place with 10 booths and 6 tables of 4 seats. Reasonable lunch menu from 11 to 3 for $6.50 to $7.00. They have a Happy Kid’s Meal for $5.85 consisting of 3 choices from a 6 item menu: 7 Chicken Nuggets, 2 Chicken Wings, 2 Crab Rangoon, French Fries, 2 Chicken on a Stick, and Fried or White Rice. They serve 17 spicy dishes for those who like the heat. They also serve wine and beer! Last night we had take-out from them. I met the owner who smiled and shook my hand but did not speak English yet. The young lady cashier and another older woman from the kitchen translated for her. She wanted to give me a free 64 oz. bottle of Pepsi but I told her we do not drink any sodas at home and thanked her for the thought. I ordered Pork Egg Foo Young, and upon eating it at home tried to give it some flavor with salt and pepper and soy sauce but it remained rather tasteless and we ate about half of it. Our dog liked it however. Also ordered General Tso’s Chicken. I asked if it was white meat and she spoke with the man doing the cooking and told me no, but if I wanted it with breast meat they could accommodate me. I asked if they could make it extra spicy and she replied “it is already spicy”. I told her I like spice and to make it more spicy. You guessed it! It was almost without spice. The photo on the back of their menu showed the chicken in the center of a ring of broccoli, but what I received was no broccoli but a few pieces of white onion and red peppers. Once again the tasteless issue reared it’s head. Hardly any flavor, little to no hot spicy taste and the pieces of chicken were cut small, and were tough and chewy, but abundant. We ate less than half of this dish, which salt and black pepper and soy sauce could not redeem it. I hated to give them a low rating but the food was 2 star and an extra 1/2 star for the friendly service. Doug T. voted for this review Useful 1 Funny 1 Cool 1

Minamoto Japanese Restaurant Menu with Prices 11011 NE 9th St, Bellevue

My co-workers came here as a farewell lunch for one of our friends. Needless to say, this was quite an enjoyable lunch! I ordered the Oyakodon Teishoku set. It came with a few sides, miso soup, steamed egg, and a salad. Visually, this oyakodon was stunning. I don’t have a photo to share because I don’t take food photos, but this was a very appetizing bowl of oyakodon. The color across the chicken and egg mix was consistent, with the chicken mixing incredibly nicely with the egg, and the glistening poached egg on top was just begging to be cut open for its runny yolk to escape. Moving onto the flavor, this oyakodon is as good as it tastes. There was a really good balance between the savory chicken and the sweet sukiyaki-like sauce. The chicken meat was also incredibly well-cooked, the texture was very tender and juicy, and stayed delicate to the egg. The egg was also very nice, though I wish they made it a bit more runnier because I prefer my eggs like that. But that was COMPLETELY made up because of the poached egg on top. It really made the oyakodon incredibly rounded out and made it much richer. Overall, great dish! The sides were good too. I don’t have too much to talk about. The steamed egg was light and fluffy and the flavor was very eggy. All the other sides were small bites that were refreshing, especially with the heaviness of the oyakodon. The miso soup was standard, you can’t really mess it up, and you can’t really make it insanely good. The salad I wasn’t a big fan of. I just wasn’t really into the dressing. I think I can do without the set next time. The service was incredibly good! The waiters were all very friendly and patient, and the food came out relatively quickly. Was it worth the $20 price? I would say so. The food was pretty good quality, and for the amount that I got, I think it’s justified. I would definitely want to come back here to try another dish!

Linda’s Vegetarian Village – Menu with Prices – 6381 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia

Was looking for a Vegan spot “near me” and found Linda’s. The Falafel Burger is fantastic! I could eat it everyday. It is topped with tomatoes, lettuce, some wonderful sauce, vegan cheese and sauteed onions. It looked great, smelled great and tasted great. I bought couscous, chick’n wrap and raw blueberry cheesecake, also. The cheesecake is creamy and the cashew and coconut oil flavors are very present so if you aren’t a fan of either, it might not be for you (it works for me). The couscous has good flavor from the garlic, scallions and peppers. I haven’t tried my wrap yet but I am anticipating happy, happy times with it!
