We need more community-centric establishments like The Broken Sprocket. The atmosphere is super chill, it’s a great place to unwind, and everyone I meet has a smile on their face (staff and locals). The Sprocket has some of the best local food you can get in the valley. I’m all about Habanero’s blackened fish tacos and anything on the menu at Mike’s Come and Eat It Texas BBQ. I’m still working my way around to the other food trucks and from what I’ve tried it’s all tasty. The beer and wine garden has a great selection—there’s always something new to try. Tony and the gang are doing it right! I highly recommend you come check it out.

Cigar City Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 3924 W Spruce St, Tampa

HOLY MOLY. Disclaimer: no food here but they do have rotating high quality food trucks with yummy food you are welcome to bring into the tasting room. Check their website or call them for more details. What a gem in Tampa! If you are a beer fan, or even if you aren’t, I would HIGHLY recommend stopping to check out this awesome spot. It’s only 5 minutes from the airport and there’s a ton of parking outside in a private parking lot. Parking is fo free. First, when you walk in, there’s a HUGE fridge of colorful cans of beers to take home. It’s overwhelming but the perfect souvenir. There are two bars, one when you first walk in and one in a larger tap room. They are clean and the walls are decorated with various awards for their best beers. The awards are well deserved – I wasn’t disappointed with any beer I tasted. The Jai Alai is an IPA and a classic- probably one of their most popular. They also had an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie beer that I had a buddy bring home because it was so yummy. We also did the brew tour, which is really educational about the history of beer, Cigar City, Tampa, and gives you a little tasting glass to take home and 3 beers to try during the tour! We learned all about the brewing process, as well as canning and distribution. Well worth it! Stop here if you have the time! I highly recommend it.

Texas Chicken Bowl Menu with Prices 3011 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo

I have eaten here for a long time. The food is always fresh and the prices are very good. The service is excellent!!! Don’t let appearances or the location fool you. What is inside counts. I highly recommend it. The Texas Chicken Bowl dish is great! They aren’t open on the weekends. That isn’t a complaint. Just lettin’ you know.. Highest praise for Texas Chicken Bowl.

The Sleepy Whale – Menu with Prices – 290 S Arizona Ave, Chandler

This is a fun/different little place in downtown Chandler. If you didn’t already know, this is a beer lovers paradise. It’s a pub! If you are a liquor drinker like me….. be ready to settle for some beers or a few different wines. I am allergic to beer, but luckily they had a cider on tap that I could try. I wish I could remember the name of it because it was terrific! I think one of the top 5 ciders I have had. Their menus are on pallets that are on the wall, they don’t pass out menus, or come to your table, so I couldn’t even begin to figure out what I had. The bartenders were great, we asked them for a cider, they gave me the cider. My husband and our friends mentioned what beer they like and the bartenders found them each something they would like that they have on tap. They did a great job. Everyone loved the choices they were given, and we had a great night! You can also buy beer and wine and take (unopened of course) to go! The atmosphere is very open and industrial. They have shareable space, so you don’t have your own tables. The tables are big farm tables and bar high tops, and you sit with everyone. They have different games you can play too. They are either already sitting out on tables or up at the bar for you to choose from. That’s a fun idea to have in a pub! It is also a pretty cool concept to sit down next to strangers and say hi or enjoy other peoples company. It’s very open, lots of light, with roll-up doors to take advantage of the weather. They do not serve food but have different food trucks that come by. I am not sure if it is every night, or how their food trucks work, but if you get hungry, you can walk out to the parking lot and check out what food truck they have there for the day. Limited parking in their actual lot, so if you are coming during “busy” hours, I recommend parking in the parking garage right across the street. I have a few friends who LOVE craft beers, so I can’t wait to take them here!

Tempe Beer & Deli & liquor – Menu with Prices – 2044 E Southern Ave, Tempe

Amazing customer service! Yesterday, I went in looking for a particular beer. They didn’t have it, but the gentleman made a phone call on the spot to the guy who places their beer orders and asked him to please order it on their next order so they’d have it for me. Tonight, I went back again. There was a different employee working, and I asked him if he was the one who placed their beer orders (with the intention of thanking him for accommodating my request). The employee informed me that he was not, but that he would write down the name of the beer and ask that it be ordered for me. Amazing beer selection and even better customer service. I will now be going here for all of my beer purchases and will highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Caps & Corks – Menu with Prices – 3830 W River Rd ste 100, Tucson

I’ve been here 4 times now and I think I like it better than tap and bottle north. It’s not as big as tap and bottle but that also means fewer kids at the bar. They still allow children, which is kind of obnoxious but they seem to bogart the patio, leaving the inside area for beer drinkers. I’m always impressed with the local beers they have on tap. They always seem to have a Tombstone IPA or Pueblo Vida beer, which beats the heck out of actually driving to tombstone or downtown for beer. The staff is friendly and know what to suggest too. Their to-go section is well stocked and ice cold. Of late, they’ve had live music and some pretty tasty food trucks too. I’m so happy to have them in my neighborhood!

Jennyâ??s Jamaican Food – Menu with Prices – 7337 SE Foster Rd, Portland

Fresh and authentic and affordable Jamaican food. The menu is simple is straight forward. Iâ??ve tried most dishes, and all are very tasty. Also, great prices! (This cart does not charge for the â??cultural exchangeâ?? via the experience eating at the cart.) I would highly recommend! Located 74th and foster , with other seemingly great spots also! The Only con I can think of, is the lack of tasty beverages like teas, lunches, juices etc Also, check hours before going. Other than that, Cheers to some tasty affordable Jamaican food pdx!

Kiitos Brewing – Menu with Prices – 608 W 700 S, Salt Lake City

In my opinion, Kiitos has the best local beer in town. I’m never really disappointed by their offerings, and they often have something new and interesting. Current favorites: Coconut stout: I have not been impressed by any draft stouts in Utah so far because the 4% limit makes them all taste pretty watery, or that’s how brewers here have interpreted. So I was pretty surprised by the coconut stout, it has a lot of flavor and you can get it at a lot of bars around town. Vanilla nut cream ale: This is a delicious tasty dessert beer to drink after your dinner beer. All their standard beers (IPA, Amber, etc.) are good; I think the only one I haven’t liked is the coffee one because it tasted both watery and had too strong of a coffee flavor at the same time. I don’t recommend getting any of the Rico’s food off their menu unless you’re really starving because it’s just the frozen food from the store that they microwave, and they didn’t cook it for long enough when I was there so I had to stand in line to ask them to re-microwave it and that wasn’t great. They do have food trucks a few nights of the week so try to time your visit if you want food.

Keg & Brew Craft House – Menu with Prices – 2114 N Zaragoza Rd Suite B-1, El Paso

We stumbled across this gem in the far east of El Paso the Friday after Thanksgiving, and I’m so glad we did. It has great lighting, music, and awesome beer selections of from Texas, New Mexico, and California. The $6 Food Truck has a great menu for snacks and full meals. The lounge area in the back with a projector screen is great also. We didn’t go out to the enclosed patio, but it also looked great and later, when a DJ came, the volume was a bit louder bit we could still hold a convo or dance around in your chair. This is my favorite kind of place. They’ve only been open 10 weeks, and if it’s this good early on, one can only see it getting better. Definitely check it out for a beer or a growler fill

Growler Grlz – Menu with Prices – 4810 Hope Valley Rd STE 110, Durham

Definitely worth stopping in here and enjoying a drink on their patio! We came with our dog, and every single person who worked there was excited to meet her and pet her! The beer list was good, though a little heavy on IPAs (about 20% of all the taps). However, the wheats, sours, and ales we had were great. I talked with the manager a bit, and she made me excited about all the beer they’ll have on the taps on a few weeks. She clearly has a passion for ordering and serving good beer. It’s almost fall, and she listed several tasty pumpkin beer options. Make sure to try Randy’s pizza next door, it goes great with the beer! It’s small inside (dogs highly encouraged to come inside), but there’s plenty of space outside in the warm weather.

Avery Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 4910 Nautilus Ct N, Boulder

Let me tell ya … I’m from Texas. We’ve got a LOT of great craft beer in Texas. Personally, I’ve been a huge fan of Revolver in Granbury since they opened and would count Revolver my favorite brewery. … until I visited Avery. My buddy and I were in Boulder for a concert, and decided to get lunch at Avery and try a few brews. We were tired and hungry after an early flight. We were greeted with enthusiasm, went to the bar to grab a beer, and self-toured the brewery. Our table was ready quickly. We sat down and had flights to try as many beers as possible. I had NINE and every single beer I tried was amazing. The flavors were rich, each was smooth and easy drinking (even the stouts: they have plenty of good ones!), and I couldn’t believe just how unique each brew was! My favorites were the barrel-aged stouts (there were a handful), and my friend’s favorite was Ellie’s Brown Ale. The food was really great too. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries; exactly what I wanted out of that dish. I’d give the food 5 stars as well, but the highlight was definitely the beer. The thing that sets this place apart, other than excellent beer, is the staff. A manager offered us an extra flight sampling for free because we wanted to try so many of the different brews. And Erin, who welcomed us to Colorado and helped us our entire visit, gave us a six-pack as we left as a “thank you” for coming. Her knowledge of the beers was excellent and she really made the visit special and helped us feel at home. I don’t think I’ll ever travel to the Denver area again without visiting Avery. It is now, bar none, my favorite brewery in the country; and that pains me to say because I love Texas beer! But Avery stands out. It’s incredible.

Ballast Point – Home Brew Mart – Menu with Prices – 5401 Linda Vista Rd #406, San Diego

The best part about this place is that most if not all of the employees are experienced brewers. They know way more than your average beer tender and are happy to share knowledge. The beer itself is delicious, consistent, and the variety of styles are guaranteed to satisfy any and all beer drinkers. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone. AND DONT FORGET TO TIP YOUR BARTENDER!

Los Plebes ” Tacos & Mariscos ” Menu with Prices 9830 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge

If I could give this good truck more than 5 stars I would. I drive all the way to austin from Baton Rouge specifically to go eat at food trucks. This one is by far one of the best food trucks I’ve ever eaten at. Not only is their food GORGEOUS and not sloppy, but it’s priced right and it’s super tasty! It’s mainly seafood items, (mariscos = seafood in Spanish) but they have some of the best carne asada street tacos EVER. Holy cow. If you love spicy food, Mexican food, and seafood….. you gotta check this truck out! I had the Mitotera (shrimp, calamari, scallop, octopus in a spicy sauce… basically a spicy seafood ceviche!) and carne asada tacos and shrimp tacos. They gave us 4 diff types of salsa, all of which were some of the best salsas I’ve ever had!
