This is a really neat place and I foresee spending much time here over the coming years. As a newcomer to Frisco, we had been hoping to find a place like this that was not too far from where we live. My wife and I drive by this location practically every Sunday on our way to church and finally decided to stop by and check it out. It is much bigger than it appears from the outside. We are not coffee drinkers, but there are plenty of other drink options beyond the assorted coffees that are offered. There are also plenty of food offerings, making this a great place to meet friends for lunch or bible study. I must confess, I often dreamed of opening a bookstore just like this one and felt like I was walking into my dream store. In my dream, however, I only played classical or other instrumental music in the background. The vocal music being played this afternoon was a little distracting for me as I read the book I had purchased. Anyway, I will be telling all of my friends about it and wish you great success.

Ginger’s Revenge Menu with Prices 829 Riverside Dr Suite 100, Asheville

Um. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven!!! This brewery is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. I’m not an IPA gal–I’ve grown to like ciders a lot because sours can be a bit much on my stomach at times but more than anything I loveeee Moscow Mules.. But tend to always call it quits during the night when I’m out drinking with all my beer pals ? So this is just the place for me! Beer that IS made from ginger. I love it. Every aspect. I, of course, didn’t try their hops collection but it does indeed exists! I got a flight and then ended the night with their slushie–once again, a dream come true! Their atmosphere is super chill but only open until 10pm so definitely want to stop here early on in the night, or before you put the kids to sleep, as it seemed a lot of parents were doing! Guess they’re one of the few breweries in AVL that lets you have kids there past 8pm. They have live music on Saturdays, chess on Mondays and $1 off growlers on Wednesdays (definitely need to go back on a Wednesday to score myself one). Can’t wait to take friends and family here when they visit! Or just go back at my own leisure because it was that damn good.

Wine Me Down Menu with Prices 11775 Northfall Ln STE 108, Alpharetta

I have been lucky enough to catch the early opening of this place so I have attended on a number of occasions and really one simple reason why – solid cigar collection, good drinks, great people, and great music. They also have a handle on the market in that their prices are reasonable – not something you typically see at wine and cigar bars. The music here is on a different level, not bland or preprogrammed like most folks like me are conditioned to expect at a bar these days. They take requests and they seem to just keep the mood right – something you may not immediately notice, but hey, that is the point. Additionally, the music system is designed to allow you to speak with someone at a normal tone but still feel and hear the music clearly – I want this system everywhere I go! One thing I should also mention is that they have Hookah, which is a solid offering that I have seen many partake. Atmosphere: Simply put, grown and sexy. This is a place where you will meet solid folks who enjoy wine, whiskey, and cigars. Also where you can meet someone and have a great conversation while listening to a variety of music that soothes as well as moves you.

Mr Luckys Billiards – Menu with Prices – 21020 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance

Keep in mind ppl, I’m the average joe that wants to drink a beer and play a round of billiards. Add some tunes to it and it’s a good night. No drama intended or requested. Like most bars, they have a jukebox. “Amimusic” app one in particular. They offer 5 10 15 and 20 dollar credits. What they don’t tell you is that they will swindle you out of your money. Lee and justin(the bartender and worker) will tell you that they have no control over the jukebox when in fact they do. Bartender is bald with tats all over and worker has ear plugs n clean trimmed beard. While I was there, multiple customers complained of the same issue, (when are my “purchased” songs gonna play?) After paying 5 bucks and selecting 5 songs that never played, we asked the bartender if they’d ever play. We got the run around from the bartender that he has no control over the juke box(he showed me on his phone he has an account to ami music I can only assume paid for by the owner) but in fact he does. We say w/e and we continue the night. As some of you may know, the more credits you buy, you’re able to queue your song to the front of the line. That said, lee himself queued a song to the front proving he has control. My brother and I as well as the group next to us, purchased songs that never played. We were there close to 3 hours, till closing time. the other group same…their songs never played…no refund was offered or given… as soon as we left the place, 2am, after complaining of the issue, they altered the queue and played their music…pretty much saying F U to us and thx for your money. If you dont believe this review, download the ami music app the next time you go to this bar, and check the queue after you buy songs…the app is free and you dont need to submit any info, you’re able to select your location and check the queue… It’s pretty Fd up that your patrons are trying to have a fun night and you mess it up like this lee and justin. You’ve lost a potential regular client… Pretty much all they played was limp biscuit and other metal songs…

Bridge Ministries – Menu with Prices – 6019 McPherson Rd Ste. 8, Laredo

This is my go-to place for Christian literature used books. You simply cannot beat their prices anywhere. What they don’t have, they can order for you. They have lots of events for bible study and children’s education. They also sell homeschool books! Last and certainly not least, they have a coffee shop that rivals Starbucks and costs significantly less. You will be truly blessed by visiting here.

The Buzz Hookah – Menu with Prices – 8222 E 103rd St, Tulsa

The place ITSELF isn’t bad. It could be a little more cozy, but the overall atmosphere was pretty chill. The thing that kinda ruined the experience was the Dj. I don’t know if they always use him, or if it was just a one night thing or what, but the music played when I was there was pretty much only early to mid 2000s top 40 hits. Ice Cream Paint Job and Buy You A Drank, REALLY? The music played there made it uncomfortable to be there, period. If the music was more current and relatable, it could be a nice place. Step up the music game, and I’d probably come back to chill

MavRec Café – Menu with Prices – 6001 Dodge St, Omaha

I enjoy coming here to study. Most of my friends now this is my second home on Saturdays. I wish people would be more respectful of the quiet study on the 3rd floor. Especially when there are 2 other floors with work space dedicated to those who want to talk to one other, work on group assignments or however else people choose to study. I appreciate UNO Criss Library’s effort in creating a space to accommodate multiple study and learning styles, but I wish there was a way to enforce the quiet space on the third floor.

Perfect Day Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5809 N Mesa St, El Paso

If this were LA/OC, I’d give this place a 3/5, but seeing as it is El Paso, I give it a 4/5 (+1 for ‘originality’ since the aesthetic of “Perfect Day Cafe” is rare around this town). In terms of ambiance, it is decently well matched to a cute cafe you would find in more popular cities – calming pastel colors + walls adorned with succulents and positively cheesy/inspiring messages written in cursive. Oh, and the music. They played acoustic versions of all pop songs (which, I LOVE), and took me over when they played an acoustic version of “Time After Time” (kudos to y’all for playing this and appealing to my heart yaaaasss). Service is slow. The staff is nice, but consistently apologetic because they’re aware that they are slow. It took about 10 minutes for me to have my order taken, and another 20 minutes for my matcha latte + waffle sandwich to come out. People are nice, though. Just, slow. Food was okay. I think they should change their menu to read a bit differently because when I ordered the ‘waffle sandwich’, I didn’t expect it to come with American cheese because I just read the word ‘cheese’ under the description. I should have asked because if there is one thing I dislike the most, it’s unmelted American Kraft cheese D: I also assumed the sandwich would have been pressed in a panini for some reason, but just be aware that the waffle sandwich comes the way a normal unpressed panini would – like toasted bread (except with a waffled dusted with powdered sugar), cold cut of ham, and unmelted American Kraft cheese. I didn’t want to use syrup with it, but it was almost necessary because the waffle was a bit dry. If I were to come next time, I’m almost certain I’d get the regular waffles or one of their omelettes since I think there would be less surprises. The matcha latte was nothing special – I think I’ve even had better ones at Starbucks, tbh. I came here to study and wi-fi is free (PW: PDCwelcome). I even asked if it was okay to study, and they welcomed it! Just be warned that outlets are sparse – you have to study on the sofa they have in the middle of the restaurant (which isn’t ideal for someone working on a laptop) or sit very close to where they plug in the speakers for their music. All in all, I’d come back if I had a fully charged computer and only needed to do about 2 hours of work. Or, if I were grabbing a quick lunch with a friend (the lunch sandwiches seem more promising). Verdict? Worth trying it just because these vibes are rare in ELP and I’m always about the vibes~

Rose Music Hall – Menu with Prices – 1013 Park Ave, Columbia

I am an avid live music fan and I am also a performance/recording artist. I have played and headlined several shows here as well as attended tons of shows for my friends bands and national acts coming through. Everyone is amazing at rose! The manager, the general staff the foh soundguy. They literally attempt to cater to all of your needs as a performing artist which is not the case for a lot of venues I’ve played at including really big establishments. From the perspective

Tree Story Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2550 Pleasant Hill Rd #415, Duluth

Overall…a pleasant place to get some work done or meet up with friends! I first came to this cafe years ago. I vaguely remember anything about it then, but I’m glad I decided to stop in after almost a decade. We needed a place to study and get some stuff done so we decided to give this place a shot. A cute establishment with plenty of seats and cute baked goods I’m definitely looking forward to planning meet ups with friends here! Service: the cashiers can speak both Korean and English. So no worries feeling intimidated by a language barrier with these lovely ladies. The bakery portion of the store is a “serve yourself” style as it is with any other Korean bakery. Most of their baked goods are prepackaged, so you can just grab whichever ones you want and load them up on the basket they have up at the front for you. Only other baked goods you might need assistance with is probably the cakes and such, since they are kept behind the glass cases to keep cool. Food/Drinks: I haven’t tried everything at this bakery, but from the few stuff picked up I was impressed with how fresh and moist the baked goods are. The drinks are pretty good and the coffee seems popular as almost all the patrons had ordered coffee for themselves. The prices tend to run a little higher, but this is only because the baked goods are made in house. Since I wasn’t feeling coffee I ordered a Iced Honey Plum tea, usually made hot, I personally just prefer it cold. It was served to me with light ice, which I didn’t even have to ask for. The drink was actual too sweet so I think they put too much of the tea syrup into the drink. I had to wait for the ice to melt down so it would water down the drink a bit. We also ordered the Black Milk tea, where apparently it can be ordered thicker like a smoothie or served with ice. We decided to just do the ice and it was pretty okay. 4/5- because it’s a decent spot to meet up with friends or study. There are limited outlets, so I would recommend maybe bringing an extension cord. This place is always filled with patrons stopping in for a quick pick me up and meeting up with friends. But for the most part, everyone is in and out so if you’re just willing to wait a few minutes a table should open up. A cute addition they have is that they have a small bookcase up at the front to allow patrons to read. There seems to be a good mix of books in Korean and English so it’s definitely a unique feature.

Dave’s NY Deli South – Menu with Prices – 5750 SW 75th Ct #30, Gainesville

I tried out Coffee Baby for the first time today! It was really nice to find a coffee shop to study in Gainesville on a Sunday. There’s plenty of windows with great lighting, lots of seating, and I counted many outlets. They played late 90s/early 00s music, which threw me off guard at first because it’s not music I associate with coffee shops, but I ended up loving it(I grooved while studying)! They are still getting the shop in order and the owner seemed a bit stressed. He was really nice and friendly, and talked us through the menu. I ordered an Irish Car Bomb latte, a flavor based off of the one of The Brownie Guy’s flavors. It was very sweet, and very delicious (ask for it less sweet if you’re not into that!). You can definitely tell he’s using high quality ingredients in those drinks! My friend ordered a drip coffee and a lemon poppy seed muffin, and she liked them both fine. I overheard the owner talking with another customer about drink recipes and their opinion, so I’m sure he values any input you have. I can’t wait to see what the finished product of this shop looks like, and I will definitely be back to try the gourmet brownies. They’re getting 5 starts for their enthusiasm and potential!

Our Daily Nada – Menu with Prices – 304 Delaware St, Kansas City

Today was my first time coming here. This is located near the City Market area. It’s a bookstore/bar/cafe that is very spacious which has plenty of seating and nice decor with many comfy chairs and small tables. Mainly for reading or having a quick bite/drink. I love the environment here. I was helped by a guy named Ethan. He took my order and told me a little about the opening of the bookstore and how it works which is good for studying, chilling, reading books from the shelves and buying products they sell. I ordered a Hot Chai Tea Latte with Almond Milk. It was very delicious! I did have trouble getting connected to their free Wifi, their wifi network didn’t show up on the available network list on my laptop. I asked for help a few times from two different employees. The first guy I asked told me to restart my laptop and try again. The second time, I asked Ethan when he came by to check if everything was okay and he was very friendly with helping me and made sure to check with his coworkers to resolve my issue. He assured me my problem is very common with other people as well and said to have my laptop up and the network should pop up after a few minutes. So now, I am waiting to connect to their wifi… So far, I like the service and the environment. Not so much the wifi issue.. But, I’d say this is definitely a cool place to hangout and come back to!
