Food here is so legit. The iced tea is not super saturated with condensed milk, and retains a light, soothing flavor. The pad kee mao is not oily or super heavily flavored, so it doesn’t mask any lack of freshness you sometimes can taste anyway in other lower quality Thai restaurants, and allows that traditional Thai lightly stir fried taste to shine. There is the right level of “dry” spicy which I thoroughly enjoyed. The veggies are still crunchy despite a 45 min delivery window and additional microwaving. Large fresh shrimps. I’m so psyched I found this place in Brooklyn. My husband and I have been die hard Sripraphai fans for years but recently due to pregnancy traveling over an hour to Queens is just unattainable (plus there is a chance this is better). I’ve been desperately looking for some authentic Thai food ever since we came back from Phuket and nothing so far has even come close to $4 street food in Thailand (plus my taste buds are just super picky now with the pregnancy and I instantly know what’s good and what’s not). Everything I tried recently was greasy, overly sauced, overly sweet and sour (“americanized thai food”). This place definitely is a game changer – will be a frequent visitor for a long time.

I would call myself a “Thai Food” Lover! I usually eat Thai Food about 5 days a week. I have been all over Colorado and have eaten at most of the Authentic Thai places. Today I have seen this place pop up on yelp and so I decided to give it a try. I started with the Vegetable Egg Rolls which I would say are “just ok”. They are the same traditional frozen egg rolls I have had at other places. I personally prefer them made by hand, especially if I am paying $5.50. Next the young man brought out my Thai Tea which I was surprised to see it come to my table with a sealed lid, as if it was made outside of the restaurant. This is the 1st time I have ever seen this. Most of the time the Thai Tea is made fresh daily at the restaurant. The Thai tea was too sweet to drink. Not sure how many grams of sugar were in it, but it was overpowering the tea. Next was the Nam Tok Noodle Soup which also was “just ok”. When it comes to Thai Soups it’s all about the broth and flavor, Only 2 Pork meatballs were a disappointment! For a $11.00 soup I expected more. I have had $6 Thai soups that would blow this soup out the water. I am very picky about my Thai because I eat it almost daily, maybe my expectations for supposed to be “AUTHENTIC THAI” are very high. Based on my visit today this is a decent place for people who don’t really know Authentic Thai Food.

Urban Thai Restaurant Menu with Prices 561 23rd St S, Arlington

Love this place. I really enjoyed my meal. Great food. Friendly staffs. Foods were on point especially papaya salad tray or “Som Tum Tart”. Very authentic Thai food in Arlington area. If you love Thai food, this restaurant is one of the best I recommend if you don’t have a chance to try and you won’t regret. Update: Food and service are still excellent as always!! One of my best top 3 Thai restaurant. The food tastes like real Thai food back in Thailand especially E-Sarn (northeastern part of Thailand) food. Recommend anyone who interested for Thai-taste food to this place. Update another dish. Boat noodle soup with pork. Hard to not fall in love with this dish after I tried it. Not every Thai restaurants have this dish. If you are noodles lover, this dish is a mus Update two more dishes. Spaghetti drunken noodles seafood. For anyone who loves spicy this one hits the spot but if you are afraid that it would be too hot, I think you can tell staffs there to tone it down to your liking. Next one is Pad Thai shrimp that my girlfriend had. I normally love spicy food but this pad thai was quite good even though it kinda look too plain to me but nonetheless just simply great. I’ll look forward to come back to try something else again.

Sawasdee Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 7546 Garners Ferry Rd unit 280B, Columbia

This place used to be Bangkok and has been bought out by new owners. I so desperately wanted to like it because I loved Bangkok and the location is very convenient for me. That being said, I was woefully disappointed with Sawasdee Kitchen. I called and ordered the pad thai and fried wontons, I asked for my meal to be a little spicy. They were quick, it took them less than 15 min to have it ready. The fried wontons were over cooked and the pad thai was incredibly bland. I had to put a lot of soy sauce on it for it to have any flavor and I typically don’t add soy sauce to my pad thai. The dish also had no spice at all. I think I’ll give this place one more try and order something else, but honestly this is largely because of its proximity to me. If I find another Thai place just as close, I don’t think I’d return.

Changs Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 3620 N Freeway Blvd #310, Sacramento

So this has been our go to for Thai food in Natomas since we first tried it when they opened. We been here a few times already. So far we had Drunken Noodle, seafood salad, spicy seafood, Thai friend rice and basil fried rice, and maybe some others I can’t remember. We order everything Thai Hot. They were all delicious, spicy, and full of Thai flavor! Lots of protein and portion size was great! But the best part??? How authentic and flavorful everything was! That’s why I love Thai food, lots of delicious flavor! I can’t have my Thai food watered down! Now, we tried all the Thai spots in Natomas, and each spot has something different that we liked. Most weren’t perfect, but close enough. I used to have a diff spot for drunken noodle, basil chicken, basil fried rice, boat noodle soup, etc. Now that I found Chang’s, I haven’t been back to any of them except one for my noodle soups! But I’m hoping Chang’s start offering Boat Noodle Soup or Tom Yum noodle soup soon! I’m super picky about my Thai food because I’ve had the best of the best in SoCal, Bay Area, and Thai Temples. I like my Thai food authentic and not watered down. Im most picky about my Pad Thai, so I haven’t tried Chang’s pad Thai, yet, in fear of disappointment. But I will. I plan on trying a lot of other stuff, and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed bc so far everything has been perfect! We haven’t actually ate at the restaurant, but they have always been super nice and accommodating over the phone. Very friendly when we pick up as well. We had a lot of spots in Natomas get our orders wrong, but Chang’s haven’t gotten any of our orders wrong, yet… hoping they continue this streak! Tonight, we are having Drunken Noodle and Basil Fried Rice again!!! I’m telling you guys, they have the best!!! :))))

Taste of Thai Plano – Menu with Prices – 3205 Alma Dr #401, Plano

At first, we wanted pizza..then someone suggested Thai food…. and that was clearly the best decision we could have made after we ate at this place!! The customer service was outstanding. The owner himself, Michael Lentini, sat down next to us at our table and took our orders. His humor and friendly personality entertained us and made us fall in love with their restaurant! He walked each of us through the menu and gave his best descriptions of the meals to a T and recommended choices to match our taste buds! Him and his staff were a delight, waiting our table diligently. He later introduced to us his wife, Nina Lentini, whom makes all of the authentic dishes from scratch! (Might I remind you that we aren’t a special group of people..just regular customers!) We were more than satisfied with our choice to go to Taste of Thai. The food was full of FLAVOR!! 5 STARS!!! Tom Yum Thai Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 233 Regent Ave W, Winnipeg

Been going there for a long time. Went back( today, they changed owner, new menu.) I ordered crab blossom, Thai rice noodle soup and pad Thai. So disappointed, the Thai rice noodle soup is just imitation of viet pho with really sweet soup, pad Thai was really sweet and crab blossom came with really sweet sauce. Over all its not an authentic thai resto. It’s a restaurant for foreign who doesn’t know what’s real Thai food is….. Everything just extra sweet. I had a long day n the meal was disappointing.

Uthai Authentic cuisine and sushi bar – Menu with Prices – 2359 Oregon Pike #104, Lancaster

Now, I can’t claim to be a Thai food connoisseur but I’ve eaten at enough Thai establishments to be able to differentiate between bad, okay, and very good. Needless to say, U-Thai is the latter. Absolutely fantastic food, bursting with flavor, a perfect amount of spice (for those of you that like the spicy dishes), nice ambiance, and attentive service.. . There’s a sushi component to the restaurant as well but I did not partake in any. I’m leaving sushi to the Japanese restaurants. In my opinion, go with the food that the restaurant should specialize in, which is why I opted for the Kra-Pow and it most certainly did not disappoint. Topped it off with a Thai Tea which was a magical blend of flavors without being overly sweet.. . All-in-all, I had a fantastic experience here while enjoying a delicious meal. You will not be disappointed if you’re seeking a place to sate your Thai food appetite!!

Funky Elephant Menu with Prices 1313 Ninth St, Berkeley

Tried out a new Thai place in Berkeley! It was definitely a funky place with interesting decor and outside tables, but a little tight and small inside. Nice little outdoor area right next to Philz Coffee. Green Papaya Salad ($12) – Spicy!!! Default they put in 3 chilis and we put in just 1 chili and it was definitely spicy. At one point the spices came up my nose LOL. Couldn’t really differentiate the chili from the peanuts. It had a lot of flavor but it would’ve been better if the Papaya was colder(?). It might’ve made the salad more fresh. Grilled Beef Short Ribs ($18) – Good. I thought it came with rice (other yelp pictures), but came with no rice. Ordered jasmine rice ($2) and it was blue, which was pretty interesting. Again, a lot of flavor going on. Pad Thai Old Skool ($15) – Lots of sauce and flavor overall. Good pad Thai but not the best I ever had. Size is definitely on the smaller side. Ask for chili on the side or no chili if you don’t like spicy. It seems really spicy. Soft Serve Ice Cream Thai Tea ($6) – Nice! It’s not super milky and reminds me of the chick fil a soft serve texture (?). Nice light Thai tea flavor. Overall, had a nice experience! Apparently, this place is super authentic and they do things spicy (overheard the waiter explaining to another table – service was good but could’ve been better if they explained about their restaurant and food to us too. I had no idea it was supposed to be spicy!). The flavors were pretty crazy, but I think overall there was just too much flavor going on that it was kinda overwhelming. There wasn’t anything simple to cleanse my palate. I’m not Thai, so I guess I’m not used to all the flavors, but usually at other Thai places, I don’t walk away feeling overwhelmed. I might need a juice cleanse lol. I wouldn’t really recommend to my family/friends just because we have similar tastes, but would recommend to anyone who wants to try authentic Thai food with lots of FLAVOR and lots of spice!

Good food, competitive pricing, good location. Friendly service. My husband enjoyed the flavor of the Pad Thai (Beef & Chicken combo). I had Drunken Noodles (Chicken). It was an interesting dish, I enjoyed the chow fun style noodles, though I don’t care for Mint leaves in food or overly salty foods. My husband also agrees that there was too much tomato-ey taste to the Drunken Noodles. Customers, please, close door behind you when entering or exiting, to keep flies out! ð???ð??º I’ve also had their tasty Beef Laap over steamed rice from their Food Truck, before they opened brick & mortar location. When available, they also have great tasting Pork Belly.

Kings 9 Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 635 N Main St, Corona

Found a new Thai food restaurant. This is one of the best Thai foods around. Got the yellow curry on lunch special. It came with a salad, cheese wontons, brown rice, and a huge portion of yellow curry. I’m stuffed! Two promotions – 1. Check in on Yelp and you get a free Thai tea. 2. 10% off your bill. Food is awesome. True, authentic Thai food. Restaurant is very new and clean. Amy took good care of me. She was a great server. Paid $12 including tip. Very reasonable.

Thai origin Menu with Prices 4686 Broadway, Allentown

Excellent Thai food. I have eaten at more than a hundred Thai restaurants and this is one of the best ones. Plus, they were fast and our server (who is part owner) was very hospitable. We had the following: Papaya salad: very nicely presented wrapped in lettuce and garnished with an orchid. Liberal amount of whole peanuts. Red snapper with kaffir lime and chili sauce: the fish was just right, not overly fried nor too fishy raw. There were plenty of veggies. Creamy tomyum soup – the shrimps we added were enormous and had a delightful snap as you chewed (read: not overly cooked rubber). Tasty with coconut. Green curry – excellent. The tofu was steamed to a nice consistency. Pad Thai – served with sprouts and crushed peanuts on the side . Flavorful with a little sweetness. We got the dishes spicy. All dishes were 5/5. Portions were generous and we had leftovers even after four at the table. We will be back soon. They are also open on Sunday’s and I’m looking forward to that as well ?

MaDee Thai Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 401 E 17th St, Costa Mesa

What Grace N. said… Best Thai food in OC. I’ve been exploring Thai food for the past 20 years. Thai food used to be authentic and hard to find. Now it’s everywhere and completely Americanized. I’ll use one of my favorite dishes as an example, Pad Krapow. Pad Krapow consists of meat such as pork, chicken, beef, and seafood stir fried with Thai holy basil and garlic. It is served with rice and topped up (optional) with fried eggs . The main seasonings are soy sauce, Thai fish sauce, oyster sauce, cane sugar, and bird’s eye chili. This dish is typically somewhat spicy due to the bird chilies. When it’s done authentically, the flavor of the basil and the garlic are dominant. Lastly the flavor works best when the pork or chicken is ground. In almost any Thai restaurant in OC this dish is sliced chicken breast in oyster sauce with no chilies and some bell pepper. If that sounds bland, it is. The food at Ma Dee is authentic Bangkok street food. Everything from the noodle dishes to the soups are amazing. It’s a hole in the wall but so good.
