What a wonderful concept! This is a restaurant with like maybe 4 to 5 paid employees – everyone else is a volunteer. Customers pay what they can afford meaning if someone can afford $1 they pay a $1 and someone else pays maybe even more than their meal is worth. There are no prices on the menu or your ticket. All is on a donation basis. Restaurant is clean and inviting with all the volunteers being extremely helpful and friendly. The food is OFF THE CHAIN! Mom and I went for brunch today. We started with the caprese endive bites. I could have filled up on 3 orders of these…3 to an order. Mom had a summer vegetable omelette with crunchy potatoes. Lemme tell you something…those potatoes. I’m not sure how they were prepared but words simply can’t do justice to how good they were. I had the Asian Shrimp Noodles. It was another win! Edon noodles, edamame, red bell peppers, shishito peppers and cilantro slathered in sweet and sour sauce. (This can also be vegetarian). We couldn’t leave without dessert…especially since today’s options were both served in a small jar so as not to make us “too full” banana pudding for me and cherry tart crisp for momma I highly recommend a visit on any day but Monday when they are closed. I understand Saturday is their slowest day. We arrived at 11am when they open and there was no wait. They do take reservations.

Mucha Lucha Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1530 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert

Is there new owners or something? My last experience here was just excellent, but man this time was completely different. I guess me and my brother were bugging them ordering our food. The man working couldnt have been more condescending and the women couldnt wait to get to the back. I didn’t even order any food for myself or my son because my wifes order irritated them enough so I said screw it. My brothers wet burrito came out dry and he couldnt really saying about it because they rushed off as soon he paid. Two people were in there when we showed up so it was definitely not busy. Idk what their problems were but it was more then enough for me and my brother to never ever eat at this restaurant again. Also to the women worker, when you roll your eyes try looking away so the customer cant constantly see you doing. Just fyi for the next guy…

D’Road Cafe – Menu with Prices – 121 Montgomery St, Montgomery

You can choose anywhere you want to sit, then you go up to the bar and order a plate. I got the lunch plate, and because I’m vegetarian, they let me have some of each non-meat side they had. My favorite was the sweet potato noodles. They were seasoned perfectly! I couldn’t even tell they were potatoes. my fiance had breakfast. He ordered a veggie omelet. The inside was really good but the outside was overcooked in our opinion. If you like your omelet more like a golden crust then you’ll love it. That’s the only reason we’re giving them 4 stars and not five. The tea comes with the lunch and was tasty as well. Not overly sweet like sweet tea can be. Lunch also includes dessert! It was a bread-like cake with some kind of fruity sauce, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce! The staff were very quick to serve us as well. Great option if you are vegetarian or vegan and need a quick eat.

Yaso Noodle Bar – Menu with Prices – 289 Mercer St, New York

This place is newly opened and yet there was a big crowd inside at lunch time already, which is always a good sign. The menu consists of various types of noodles with meat or vegetarian options. I ordered the stir fry noodle with ribs and spicy dumplings for appetizer (they currently have a special $2 for 3 dumplings deal). The dumplings were great, reminiscent of a soup dumpling in both appearance and taste, although it wasn’t advertised as such. It is filled with juicy beef and the bottom is pan fried for a touch of crispness. It is not super spicy so even people who can’t handle spices can tolerate. While the dumplings were great, the noodles on the other hand can be improved upon. When I first got my bowl, I was admittedly disappointed. Inside was 4 pieces of ribs, a portion of noodles and a few pieces of romaine lettuce. The ribs were well-seasoned and not too tough and were the highlight of the dish. However, the noodles were quite lackluster, tasting similar to what you would get from an instant noodle package (if you want a comparison, it’s quite similar to nissin chow mein teriyaki beef noodles). Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed with what I could have bought at a supermarket. The flavoring could use some garnish such as garlic, scallion, shallot, cilantro, crushed peanuts, etc for more complexity. Additionally, the vegetables didn’t seem to go well with the dish, since it was just raw romaine lettuce and some peas. Bok choi or Napa cabbage stir fry together with the noodles would have been better. Overall, I was happy with the dumplings, but not so happy with the noodles. Since this place is new, they might still improve their dishes over time, so I don’t hold this against the restaurant.

Creeks, Bar and Grille – Menu with Prices – 4935 E Lake Rd, Erie

Love the Filet with the choice of dipping sauces. I was so excited to see you had bernaise sauce as most restaurants don’t serve it with their Filets. I was very disappointed in it, though. It was filled with chunks of what I think were tomatoes and other spices making it have a very strong taste. Not a true creamy bernaise. Please, please serve a basic bernaise! The honey bourbon sauce is great! My husband ordered the special of “stuffed peppers” expecting at least two peppers. There was only one small pepper, so special should not advertise in the plural! His mashed potatoes were cold and he had to ask for them to be heated. Waitress brought out a new order of hot mashed potatoes. We have eaten here several times since it became Creeks and will return.

Cowboys Roadhouse – Menu with Prices – 1034 Elizabeth Rd, Winnipeg

okay i was here for the throwback night end of march. the bouncers and security were extremely negligent. the line formed into a mob so tightly packed that i couldnt breath and couldnt get out to leave the premises even if i wanted to, which i did. At a certain point my arm got trapped between the gaggle of people, and when i tried to get it back it resulted in my wristlet (containing my cards, money, and ID) getting torn off my wrist with the zipper broken off. i was seperated from my friends at this point so i was on my own. i couldnt even bend down to try to find my bag since it was so tightly packed. i yelled for the security guard to do something, to break it up, and he said “theres nothing i can do” which is super not true. luckily once i was finally shoved inside i found my bag had been kicked to the entrance with my things all inside. my whole body is sore from being squished at all angles, my friend has bruises up her wrist from the mob. i feel that this was negligent of the club. if i could give it 0 stars i would. one of the worst experiences ive had.

Two Brothers Pizza – Menu with Prices – 5125 Jonestown Rd #157, Harrisburg

I was there 2 weeks ago and got home to find a hair in my food. Then, last week and ordered a cheesesteak with marinara sauce. I got home to a steak sub with no sauce or cheese & it was extremely dry. I decided to try again. I called to place an order and wanted the same thing. I couldnt understand the person who answered the phone and needed him to repeat himself multiple times when I finally was able to make out that he said you cant make a cheesesteak with marinara sauce. I tried to ask a question but couldnt understand him. I give up after 3 bad experiences in a row. I hope others have better experiences than I did. Its a shame because Ive heard good things.

naruto show me the sushi – Menu with Prices – 963 Pleasant Grove Blvd #150, Roseville

This was my second time at this restaurant. The rolls are very good I got the lobster roll, which has fried pieces of lobster on top SO GOOD. The old memory lane is the second roll we got also a great roll has a hint of cilantro in there which makes it because come on cilantro is everything. The other items were a bento box, pepperfin, & BBQ albacore all of which I liked overall. I think the BBQ albacore sauce could have been better it had a strange taste but still good. Pepperfin quality of fish could have been better and the daikon radish’s which are delicious when dipped in the Pepperfin sauce were a bit long so I had a few people staring at me as I ate them like spaghetti noodles. But I still ate it and thought it was good. Biggest downside the waitress we had this time was quite rude and walking around the restaurant with horrible body language. But I get it we all have bad days so maybe we caught her on one, she still brought everything out in a timely manner. Overall the prices is right the food is yummy I will be back.

Teriyaki Japan Inc – Menu with Prices – 8902 165th St # 115, Jamaica

Called Sarkura and located in the basement of the Colosseum Mall, this is one of the few eating establishments trying to make a go of it in the Colosseum Mall. They offer cheap chicken, beef or shrimp with vegetables and rice or noodles in a Japanese-like sauce. For those that pass on the meat and shrimp, like your favorite vegetarian reviewer, they have veggies with rice or Soba noodles. While the serving is plentiful and cost low (about $3.00) the flavor is low too. Very blend. They get a plus for having a veggie dish, but even vegetarians enjoy flavor. Not worth the stop on the limited vegetarian tour of Jamaica.

On+On – Fresh Asian Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1441 W Knox St #C100, Torrance

On + On is basically Korean Chipotle. You get to customize your bowl, starting with a base, protein, veggies, toppings, and sauce. I’ve been here a few times for lunch because it’s tasty, inexpensive, and fast. For my base, I usually get half buckwheat noodles and half salad with grilled chicken or bbq beef. I prefer the beef because it is marinated and the chicken can be dry sometimes. For the veggies, I get half brussels sprouts (so good!!) and half zucchini. They also have a variety of fresh toppings for you to choose from. For the sauce, the Honey Teriyaki and Hot taste well together. I recommend asking for the sauce on the side so you can control the amount of sauce to your liking. During my first visit, I didn’t get it on the side and it was difficult to finish because my bowl was drenched. One thing is that I wish they had a vegetarian option for the protein. My friend is trying to cut out all meat but had to resort to getting salmon because they didn’t have vegetarian options, such as tofu.

Leilani’s Island Tacos – Menu with Prices – Wawamalu Beach Park, 8549, KalanianaÊ»ole Hwy, Honolulu

What a find! Caught their truck while walking up to Lanikai Brewing and prayed they had even a palatable vegetarian option because I was post-hike and ravenous. I saw “Bean Sprout Tacos” and ordered it without reading anything else: GREAT decision. The tacos were 2 for $10 and were definitely big enough to be worth the money. What’s more, the flavor was excellent. I’m honestly somewhat glad that I didn’t read the description because I was so surprised by the punch of flavor. Stop reading if you want to trust me (and them) and be equally pleasantly surprised. ~SPOILER ALERT~ The Bean Sprout Tacos are corn tortillas loaded with zingy cilantro-lime rice, arugula, flavorful and just-salty-enough black beans (high praise from the one vegetarian on the planet who doesn’t usually like black beans), slaw, and sprouts and topped with a sesame-ginger glaze, cilantro sour cream and, for a bit of crunch that pulls the whole thing together, sunflower seeds. How do they fit that many ingredients into a taco? Unsure. How does one gracefully eat a taco with so many ingredients inside of it? Also unsure. Just embrace these mysteries and be grateful.

5th Avenue Asian Taste – Menu with Prices – 718 5th Ave, Brooklyn

Large menu with vegetarian options. We ordered the vegetable wontons which had a peanut sauce on them which I was not a fan of. The sesame bean curd could have been more flavorful and the sauce on it was a bit thin. The Chow fun was good. The second time we ordered we got the nabeyaki udon which was fine, as well as the vegetarian general Tâ??sos tofu which was more flavorful.

Silvia’s Taqueria Menu with Prices 7301 Matlock Rd, Arlington

I give them a four because I did the math averaging what I would rate each of the three tacos I got and it came to an even 4. First taco, the corn El Pastor, no cilantro with onions, the sour cream, green sauce and red sauce. It was amazing a solid 5, I don’t like pork but I’d thought I would be adventurous and man am I glad I did. Flavorful and just Umm. Second taco Chicharron taco, the reason this rating isn’t a 5 because this thing was a two at best. Chicharron is supposed to be crispy pork skin or belly this was neither I don’t think it was like someone took pork fat and tried and failed to pan fry it. It was slimy and mushy and I knew the moment I touched it I was going to have a funky texture in my mouth and I came this close to not even eating it but I decide one bite wouldn’t kill me (If I stop reviewing after this review then tomorrow that assumption maybe wrong) I put the sour cream, green sauce, red sauce and I feel like wasted those delicious sauce it really was slimy and kind of just slipped down my throat, I couldn’t finish it. The third taco was easily my favorite would have given it a six but that would have been cheating. The beef fajita on flour it was really good with the sour cream, green sauce and red sauce. Also those sauces are to died for, next time I got in I think I’m going to see what it would take to get a bottle of the stuff (don’t think they will but I can try).
