This taco truck is a great addition to the Garden Grove/Santa Ana taco truck scene. This taco truck also stands out a bit from the rest. Not sure if it is their rendition of the recently acclaimed “Tijuana tacos” but expect your taco to be touched with a small paste of Avocado. Not necessarily your thickest and potent slab of avocado, but it will suffice to give your taco that complimentary texture and taste and goes well it taco meats. My girlfriend and I tried the cabeza, tripas and asada. Cabeza and al pastor was fairly good. I wouldn’t say it was the best. The same for asada. However, we both agree that this was the best asada in the area. They give you slightly bigger cuts here, some places makes you feel like your eating ground beef when really you are supposed to be eating steak… The standout is their corn tortilla. Around here is this a game changer. It tasted homemade and such a nice textural complement to the meat, sauce, cilantro, onions and avocado. The tortilla for the quesadilla was a bit thick for our liking. A bit worrisome if you are watching the carb intake. Downside is the amount of onions and cilantro they give you in the tacos, which was barely any. When you ask for extra they give you this tiny little bag. I prefer a condiment bar where you can choose to your liking. Overall, solid addition to Garden Grove/Santa Ana taco scene.

Tuxies Juices – Menu with Prices – 6030 Magnolia Ave, Riverside

Taco place around Riverside plaza that I’ve never tried out before. Passing by it, I decided I gotta give it a try, because I love trying new places and also its Tuesday so taco Tuesday of course! On first glance this place seems like it goes way back, a small little hut that looks like it took over a wienerschnitzel, but inside is filled with delicious tacos. So I went up and ordered the Tuesday taco combo which has refried beans covered in cheese, Mexican rice, and 3 tacos, and with the combo u get a 2nd one for like 6 dollars, so pretty worth. I got the cabeza, asada, and al pastor, and overall they were all not bad! I love cabeza and of course the cabeza was good. The tacos were topped in the usual cilantro and onions but also a spicy guac like sauce, that was pretty solid. I’d definitely try this place again!

Taqueria El Nuevo Perico #2 – Menu with Prices – 3702 E Chapman Ave, Orange

This taqueria is definitely delicious and authentic. The Carne Asada taco was very juicy and well seasoned and they use flour tortillas. The street tacos come with cilantro and onion on top with a side of grilled onion and radishes. I also bought the taco combo with carne asada (picture) which comes with rice, beans, and the onions. The Al Pastor taco (in the picture) was really tasty and juicy. The best part of this restaurant is that none of the meats were dry, but they’re a bit overpriced. However, the tacos are a bit larger than small corn tortilla tacos. There are definitely tastier tacos for cheaper if you’re willing to drive further out of Orange, but for a local, fast service taco, this is an excellent choice. There is also a lot of seating here and the place is large and clean, including a restroom.

Academy Minimarket – Menu with Prices – 515 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem

Tacos, tacos, tacos! Being new to Winston, I’ve been in the hunt for good tacos. I have tried a few places in and around town and off of Waughtown Road, but these are the BEST tacos I have found in Winston. The place is quaint. It’s a mini mart with a taco truck in the parking lot. At first, I wasn’t sure if the truck was open or not, but the friendly lady at the truck assured me it was. Let me be clear – This is not a restaurant and there are not any places to sit. You will get your food in a nicely packed to-go box and bag and have to haul it off somewhere to eat. (Note: I was so excited that I ate my tacos in my car in the parking lot.) I paid for my food inside the store and went out to the truck in the parking lot with my receipt to place my order. An order of 4 tacos runs about $6. I had the carnitas, barbacoa, and asada tacos and they were GREAT! Double tortillas warmed on the grill with fantastic meats, topped with onions and cilantro. My to-go box even had a little salad with cucumber, lettuces, limes and a spicy avocado salsa. I cannot wait to head back here for more TACOS!

Taquitos mexico – Menu with Prices – 7491 Grissom Rd, San Antonio

I’ve been to a lot of taco trucks. And I’ve had a lot of street tacos in my life. A LOT. Yet this is one of the best ones I’ve ever had! On a Saturday night, I was craving pastor tacos so my boyfriend and I drove out to Taquitos Mexico because it was the closest taco truck to us. We both got the 5 for $6 deal. I got pastor tacos and he got asada tacos. My oh my… they were sooo freakin good!!! The meat was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. they were topped with onions, cilantro, and grilled onions. I love that they weren’t as oily as other places too. The tortillas were soft and did not break apart. We also got a large horchata but that wasn’t too special. I really wanted to try the elotes! Right after we finished our plate, my bf immediately said he wanted more. Guess we have to get him double next time haha. We can’t wait to be back and get more tacos and elotes! Maybe try other items too!

Taqueria La Fogata – Menu with Prices – 4623 S 33rd St, Omaha

This place is next door to Donohue’s Pub on L street. I will give this place 3 stars because the service was fast and the food was cheap. The menu is simple: tacos, tortas, burritos, and quesadillas. Meat choices include: Carne Asada Al Pastor Lengua Chorizo Tripe Barbacoa They offer $1 tacos on Thursdays after 5 pm only. The interior is sort of dated and even a little dirty. There are quite a few tables throughout. I know, these can sometimes be the really good places, right? However, the food was only OK. I ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos. The tacos are built with two street taco-sized corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, onions. They come with lime and salsa (red or green). The green (avocado) salsa is actually spicier than the red, which is not common. Overall, stop in on Thursday after 5 pm if you are in the area or next door at the pub. Otherwise, I’d make the trip to Taqueria Tijuana for tacos.

Taqueria La Fondita – Menu with Prices – 3739 Tacoma Ave S, Tacoma

I LOVE ME SOME TACOS Once again my Fellow Yelpers you’ve rated this place 4 plus stars and I just had to come and check this place out for myself. Had to feed my inner fat gurl I was craving Tacos!!! This place is located at the corner of 38th Street & Tacoma Avenue it’s a Taco Truck and as long as your not blocking anyone you can park anywhere. As I started to walk up to the truck you can smell the yummy goodness of meat in the air and whats cool is there are food pictures clearly marked with the price of the numbered item that you choose and the prices are very reasonable. I am greeted by Mari who takes my order and Seco in the back of the truck where the magic happens in preparing my order as I am talking to Mari she tells me that there from. JALISCO, MEXICO I had Asada aka grilled beef steak, Carnitas aka fried pork, Pollo Asado aka grilled chicken, Birria aka shredded beef cooked in a mild Chile sauce, Adobada aka pork that is marinated and grilled, the tacos come with your choice of meat, chile, cilantro, onion. I tried all the meats I just mentioned and my favorites are Birria, Carnitas, and Adobada. These tacos are small but have plenty of meat and & are full of flavor I am in heaven the corn tortilla is soft like a bed for my meat, and fixings than I add a little lemon that you can get upon request with grilled onions & serrano chilies, yum. my hubby got the burrito macho which had choice of meat, rice, beans, Jack cheese, queso cotija, tomatoes, cilantro, and onions he loved it and I had a bite it was good too but I more of a Taco kind of girl. I’m loving this place and most definitely I will be coming back for more. Gracias Mari y Seco Ustedes si Tiene una buena mano para sazonar la comida.

Tacos Fiesta Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 4200 Peralta Blvd, Fremont

OK, first and foremost I’m not ashamed, I’m not scared, nor am I intimidated to order food from a food truck. Such mixed feelings when it comes to food trucks… I get it, I’ve heard many war stories from co-workers about the thin line you walk when ordering food from a food truck. I’ve been told to never eat from a food truck on Mondays because they use the remnants of the weekend’s leftovers, I’ve been told there all just glorified “roach coaches”, yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah and that could all be true, but not at Fiesta Mexicana….I think…..I hope. When it comes to taco trucks, Fiesta Mexicana is legit! I keep it pretty simple and straightforward. I’m not a taco truck connoisseur, nor do I go to multiple locations unless I’m captivated by the scent of a lone taco truck grilling up some carne asada from afar. Usually while I’m washing my car or waiting outside of a local DMV office. For the most part only one, this one, and it’s usually when I’m fresh off work. I come here when I have a specific taste for street style carne asada tacos and to my delight Fiesta Mexicana usually comes through with piping hot well garnished corn tortillas stuffed with carne asada, cilantro, onions and a combination of pickled jalapeños and carrots. A quick lunch fix with hard to beat prices. $1.75 for a taco…Not bad in my opinion. Fiesta Mexicana is a clean, well kept, consistent taco truck that offers tacos, burritos, quesadillas to the local Fremont community. Keep up the good work Fiesta Mexicana for I am a repeat offender. p.s.- CASH ONLY

Taqueria Paracuaro – Menu with Prices – 726 N 13th St, San Jose

OMG…. These guys seriously have THE best tacos in town! I have never had tacos like this in the US, only in Mexico. They are super nice and fast and will have you eating some pretty delicious tacos in just 5 minutes. We tried the asada, cabeza, chorizo and pastor and they were all to die for! They serve them plain with just the meat and add a little bit of grilled onion to your plate, and you add the works. They have radish, onion, cilantro, grilled chiles and salsa. The salsa is super good but spicy, so don’t get all crazy! I didn’t try the red, just the green. They set up right in front of Checos restaurant every weekend, I believe he said from around 6pm until 12-1am. These tacos are legit!

Chuy’s Night Club – Menu with Prices – Fresno

This is one of the best taco trucks in Fresno! If you are looking for really authentic tacos that taste amazing with tons of topping choices for not much money, this is your taco truck! Here’s why I love it: 1) The tortillas and meats: sooo good! Like at many other trucks, the tacos here are served with just the tortilla and meat so that you can customize them how you like them (see below). The tortillas are really good: they taste freshly made (not sure if they are actually making them in the truck, but they are super fresh none-the-less). The meats are good too: we tried four different meats, and all are yummy. I particularly recommend the al pastor, which is, in fact, cooked on a spit with fresh pineapple (the *only* way to cook al pastor!). Sooo good! 2) The toppings: there are a TON of different options, including both grilled and raw onions (go for the grilled!), beans, jalapenos, cabbage, cilantro, and five different types of salsa (the green is the best!). Also, if you do get al pastor, be sure to ask for fresh pineapple on top! 3) The price: soooo cheap! Most tacos are less than $2 each, so go ahead, eat as many as you want! Other menu options are really cheap too. 4) The staff: super friendly and fast! Why aren’t you eating here yet?!?!

MEXICO BONITO CATERING TRUCK – Menu with Prices – 40648 Fremont Blvd #4305, Fremont

Had to check out the new truck. All of the 5 star reviews made me have to try. Since it was my first time of course I got tacos, 4 of them $8. For $8 at a truck I should leave feeling satisfied right? Nope small street tacos, although a very nice presentation with the spiced onions and definitely Resturante quality I did not leave feeling I got an $8 fill. I think should have came with more meat for spending $8 at a truck on 4 tacos. Maybe should have a deal buy 4 get 1 and fill them. Or a 5 taco plate, nice and full of meat. I’m sure reviews would sky rocket and more people would come. At a truck you look for flavor and expect value and fill. Or at least I do or I’ll just go to a sit down. The meats: (best to last) Al pastor: the best meat I tried, cooked well, cut well, nice and spicy and juicy. He does a great job on this meat. I want to try the burrito with pastor but the burrito is $7 + .50 for all adds, cheese, sour cream, and what ever else. Idk Carne Asada: was pretty decent, I just didn’t have much in my taco to really grasp it. Taco should have been full. Chicken: to my surprise this wasn’t that great, and was cold? usually chicken is a go to easy always good and a staple. Honestly I like my chicken burrito filled with chicken so I look for a balance between taste and qty lol. Over all I give this truck 3.5 stars but this time I round down because I spent $8 and walked away hungry ? Am tempted to try that al pastor burrito but prob won’t be in a rush. Hopefully someone posts a pic and a review on how it was.

Pinch a Taco 2 – Menu with Prices – 5005 S MacDill Ave, Tampa

I was on this side of the Bay and came here on a whim for lunch. I grew up in Southern California, where burritos and tacos are abundant. It’s simple, flavorful, quick, and delicious and cheap. After living in Florida for 6 years I’ve pretty much given up on Mexican food… until now! The menu is simple. A few meats to choose from and you pick your delivery method (taco, burrito, torta etc. My first time here I had 5 tacos, a variety of carne asada, pastor, pollo asado, and shrimp. All 5 were magnificent. The meat was fresh and flavorful, served on a corn tortilla (flour is available too), with onions and cilantro. I got them to go and got both red and green salsa. After one bite I knew I finally found a taco shop. A few weeks later I had a carne asada burrito. It was. A similar experience as far as nostalgia. Beans, meat, guacamole, pico de gallo, and a little lettuce. I think I’d prefer tacos next time, but the burrito was amazing none the less. Both times I washed my meal down with a large horchata. It’s a sweet cold cinnamon rice drink. Trust me, you can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be back soon, and looking forward to trying their ceviche.

Michoacan Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 3235 N Flowing Wells Rd, Tucson

We stopped here because we were in a road trip. We asked for mini tacos de vapor de cabeza. We ordered 11 tacos and the total was $33. Which I think was expensive. When I got my tacos, they weren’t even cabeza, its was desebrada and they were cold! The tacos were so dry and what got me mad is that it wasn’t even the meat they said. We asked for a drink, and they didn’t even gave it to us, we had to go ask for it. My parents asked for a carne asada burrito with guacamole. They were charged extra and the burrito didn’t even had the guacamole. It felt like a rip off!!! Don’t recommend this place at all.
