My fiancé and I were very satisfied with our Ramon. For me I’m I love spicy food and the spicy miso Ramon was perfect for me! Not to spicy, definitely wasn’t salty like most Ramon/American places are and it had a good amount of noodles! My fiancé is sensitive to dairy and pork, so we were really happy to hear that there is only thing on their menu that has dairy which is one of their appetizers. So if you can’t have dairy then this place is perfect! Also they were more then happy to replace the pork with chicken which my fiancé LOVED their chicken very much! The employees are very knowledgeable and explained to us how they make their broth which it turns out I learned that most places will make it in a way that lots of fat, however not for these guys they way they make their broth has less fat, which for me I loved! The broth definitely didn’t test hearty it was just perfect! Overall we are so happy we found this hidden gem, they have been open for 5 months and we do plan to come back! Also for those who care about how the place looks…it is very clean, modern and I love their chairs very comfy and they have a nice outdoor seating for when it gets more comfortable outside! If you want some good, yummy, real Ramon then come here and also they do have a sushi bar for those who love sushi!!!

Kiwami Ramen Sushi – Menu with Prices – 10262 Causeway Blvd, Tampa

Daughter, 3 year old granddaughter and I visited on Thursday to try their Ramen as we are all 3 HUGE fans of Ramen and have heard good things about this spot. We also love sushi and would like to try their sushi sometime but this visit was all about the Ramen and Saki! WARNING: They have no children’s menu at all and are not nice about trying to accommodate for a child. We asked if we could please just purchase a side of pork broth for her and were told no, I was like you have no children’s menu and I can’t even purchase her a bowl of broth and was told no, server did suggest white rice for her and I was like no she doesn’t want to eat plain white rice and she just smiled, shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. Weirdest thing I have ever seen. Atmosphere: It’s in a nice new very attractive plaza. Daughter and I found the interior very nice, clean and cute. Service: Sever was minimally friendly and seemed aggravated by any questions we asked and was very unfamiliar with the menu, specials and anything else we asked of her. Please read more about the customer service under my review of their Shoyu Ramen below. Shoyu Ramen: We ordered this as it was the only Ramen available for lunch special price of $10, menu did not indicate that it was chicken broth. When we tasted it we were shocked as it tasted like a very salty, strong beef broth…unpleasant. I let our server know that we did not like it at all and pointed out the fact that the menu did not indicate it was chicken broth (although it did not taste like any chicken broth we have ever tasted and even my granddaughter wouldn’t eat it) and that we did not like it so could we please trade it for Tonkotsu and that even though it was more we were happy to pay the difference. To our surprise we were rudely told no, when I informed the server that we would not eat this she indicated rudely that we still had to pay for it….at this point I was getting aggravated and said fine I’m a Yelp Elite so I hope you enjoy my review and then the servers attitude did a complete 360 and she was so sweet, friendly etc and was happy to exchange the Ramen. Although I’m glad I got to exchange so sad that when they didn’t know I was a Yelper they were going to have such horrible customer service. Tonkotsu Ramen: This is what we traded for, it was amazing! The broth had an amazing Umami flavor that we all just LOVED! The pork was good but we like it a little more seared but it was still smokey and yummy. Will go back for this alone. Saki flight: Daughter got a ski flight that had Pineapple, Apple and Peach! Apple was the best, would definitely get that! Would not get the Pineapple or Peach, it was ok but the Apple was fabulous.

Ichigoh Ramen Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2724 Commerce St, Dallas

This is a pretty decent ramen place! They have a different take on ramen compared to other places in Dallas since Ichigoh has a chicken broth and soupless ramen options. Kisetsu no kinoko butter: 5/5 really unique flavors and wonderful taste with the sauce complementing the mushrooms Spicy Soboro Shoyu: 2/5 it wasn’t spicy at all, which was disappointing. It might be a little spicy for those with a more sensitive taste, but I didn’t even taste a small kick. It seemed really oily, the noodles were very mediocre, and the meat wasn’t particularly noteworthy. I wouldn’t get it again. Niboshi shoyu: 3/5 decent broth, noodles were average. Not great but not bad Yuzu shio: 4/5 this broth was very light and refreshing. This was definitely my favorite out of the ramens! I personally prefer pork over chicken, but the broth in this was much better than the ramen with pork. It’s quite a unique flavor! I think if I came here again, I would want to try the soupless ramen. I still would prefer wabi house or other ramen places in Dallas first though. But it’s a godspot if you’re looking for a place in Deep Ellum! The service here is very attentive, and there’s a nice ambiance here. One thing is that the big sign still says tanoshii ramen, but just know that you’re at the right place for Ichigoh!

Chilacates South End – Menu with Prices – 275 Shawmut Ave, Boston

This is a grab n go (or dine there) but its self service and the seating is limited, so its not ideal for large groups (4+). But the food was yummy! My friends got the taco plates, generous serving size, my bf got the burrito, packed beautifully so it didn’t crumble as you bite into it. The al pastor (pork) was delicious, slightly fatty in all the right places. I love me a good quesadilla so I went with their suggestion of the chicken, and boy was that not a wrong suggestion! The meat was so juicy and packed with flavors and I just loved that they stuffed the quesadilla with so much cheese! I even got guac too – they have some selection of hot sauce on the tables as well as their own homemade one – which, in my opinion, not that spicy. Overall, great quick Mexican food, the line can get a bit long, but they are relatively quick with the food prep after you order. I love that there is outdoor seating, so I will definitely be back when I have a Mexican food craving and Chipotle or Qdoba just doesn’t cut it.

Akira Ramen & Izakaya Menu with Prices 3731 Boston St, Baltimore

Wouldn’t call this the best ramen joint in Baltimore, but is definitely the runner up and a nice addition to the canton area. I ordered the Akira volcano spicy ramen – The broth was pretty good but it wasn’t spicy enough for my taste, the noodles were crunchier than I usually go for but you can order different types of ramen noodles with your broth if you want a smoother texture. My bf got the regular akira ramen (nonspicy) which tasted pretty good. All in all, the broth is good and hits the spot, especially on a cold day. Moving onto the staple of a ramen bowl…The pork belly. At first bite, it was SO PIGGY; you could taste the blatant pork taste to it that it was very off-putting after a few bites. We sat at the bar and saw how they made the ramen and garnished it – It was cool that they torched the pork belly for an added crispy effect but was a waste because I really couldn’t stomach eating it because of the previously mentioned strong porky taste to it. The flavor of the broth was good, not great – not too salty, hearty, but could use some extra spice, especially in the spicier options and was overall filling but felt that their portion sizes were a tad bit smaller than the other ramen places in Baltimore (kippo, dooby’s, mi & yu…just to name a few). The presentation is Beautiful and the garnishing was absolutely perfect (probably the best out of all the ramen places) and really love the vibes going on in the restaurant – very modern yet keeping the traditional touch of a Japanese ramen spot. Note that the space inside is pretty small – there’s plenty of bar seating but not much space for larger groups. Overall, don’t think I’d go out of my way to come here unless I’m already in the canton area as my favorite ramen spot in Fells will always have a place in my heart and honestly can’t be beat. Also they don’t have donburi here!! Bummer! But this is a great addition if you ever have the late night ramen munchies. I’d love to see how they refine their recipe / menu as they continue to grow in the city and always happy to see more asian food places opening up!

Hesperian Health Guides Menu with Prices 1919 Addison St # 304, Berkeley

I took my daughter here for her birthday. She had been here once before but was a bit apprehensive because she read some bad Yelp reviews. My experience was great. We ordered the AYCE shabu shabu with the spicy miso broth. We considered ordering the set menu but the AYCE was a better deal especially if you want anything other than regular broth. Next time I’ll order the ramen rather thanto eat with the broth at the end of the meal. We ordered lamb, beef, pork, and vegetables (good variety). Everything was very fresh and plentiful. We rolled out of the restaurant. We ordered a bit too much, at the end, but didn’t want to waste food. The service was spot on. The waitstaff made sure we had enough of everything. We went for an early dinner so it wasn’t crowded. The restaurant is serving sushi again but we didn’t order any. The table next to us did, and they seemed to enjoy it. I plan to return with my husband Feb 19 Returned tonight with my husband. Service was still excellent. Food was great. We tried the ramen at the end of our meal and it was so good – the broth made it. We got there at 6pm & there was a birthday party just starting. While we were eating the place filled up. There’s a new menu. If you get the all-you-can- eat shabu shabu (Happy Hour), you get 50% off of small plates & non-alcoholic beverages. Also the automatic 18% gratuity is gone so you may leave a tip as you see fit. The menu indicates the all-you-can-eat Happy Hour dinner is from 5-7:30 but the server says they can make exceptions.

Mendoki Japanese Noodle Shop – Menu with Prices – 675 Paularino Ave C, Costa Mesa

Mendoki… is heaven on earth. Their tsukemen, spicy tonkotsu, and fried chicken are so amazing that I order them all every time I come here with my boyfriend. JUST so I can have each of everything. Tsukemen: can we address Mendoki’s noodles first?! I don’t think they’re even handmade but they have the best noodles I’ve ever tasted at a Japanese ramen restaurant. They have the right balance of firmness and softness, and are so dang yummy. The tsukemen broth tastes BOMB – slightly spicy and the flavor is deliciously savory and sweet. Must try. Tonkotsu: I was surprised by how spicy this was. Not overly spicy but definitely has a nice kick to it. The soup has a thick, deep texture that immediately warms you at first sip. Just how I like my tonkotsu. I like to add extra beans sprouts to my soup towards the end to balance the heaviness of the broth. Fried chicken: So good too. I will admit the karaage at Hakata Ikkousha is my all-time favorite but Mendoki does a real good job with their fried chicken. It’s the perfect amount of crispy outside, plump and juicy inside. Ughhh at this point I’m just craving all of this food now T_T This place should seriously get 6 stars because all their items are super affordable. Parking is rough but luckily Mitsuwa is right behind this shop for extra parking (and dessert)!

El Coyote Ramen Bar – Menu with Prices – 1 W Victory Dr, Savannah

First ramen only bar in Savannah. I was really excited when I first heard about it because there are no dedicated ramen places in the area. Finally I got to try it on a Sunday late afternoon. The place is tiny but they have outdoor patio seating available. They have everything pre-made so basically they just need to put the bowl ingredients together. For the same reason, the service is fast and the people working are friendly. You can create your own bowl but I decided to get their speciality bowl – Chicken Shoyu. It was good, I liked how my broth tasted but there wasn’t enough broth in the bowl. I also got a side of Kimchi, which I decided to put in my bowl and it added more flavor to the broth. My friend got the Pork Tonkotsu but I liked mine better. The tonkotsu broth was lacking flavor. Overall, this place is average but they definitely have the potential to be better.

Haiku Tokyo – Menu with Prices – 2224 E Williams Field Rd Suite 108, Gilbert

So we ended up here by default because we couldn’t go to the intended restaurant of choice. I admit I had my qualms about this place when I first stepped in. I tend to be skeptical about Asian food restaurants in the malls because they often turn out to be generic and disappointing. Well this place I have to say…I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen with beef as the protein and Minus the corn and chilis. The broth was rich and just enough saltiness from the pork and chicken broth. The soup had a nice creamy buttery after taste to give it an umami flavor. The beef was nice and tender and went well with the soup. My only critique is that the broth still has chili oil added to it making it slightly spicy. I actually thought it was a perfect hint of spiciness to go with the soup, but I was actually getting it to share with my kid so I didn’t expect it to be spicy at all. Also, if you have been to other ramen places you know the egg is usually seasoned. This egg was not seasoned. For me I didn’t mind at all because the egg was cooked perfectly and enjoyed it with the broth. Overall I was satisfied. Side note: they do military discounts! Final verdict: Would I go back? YES Would I recommend it? YES

Samurai Noodle – Menu with Prices – 24025 Katy Fwy Suite L, Katy

So this was my first visit to this establishment. I have seen it multiple of times and always wanted to go in. I finally went in and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken karaage and the spicy garlic tampopo with chicken broth and shredded chicken. I am Muslim and cannot eat anything with pork. I dont know if it was the manager or the owner, but he took time in order to explain what would be best for me. I got the chicken karaage first it was good and moist. The flavor was a little weak but acceptable. I got the ramen and was not disappointed. I was astonished by how good the food and broth was. I thought it was going to be over spicy, however, it was just perfect. I could not have eaten that dish Andy quicker than I did that day. So i usually give 5 stars with a heavy creatique, however, in my eyes this store would have gotten it even if the food was sub par. For the people to take time and explain what i should stay away from made my day. I was going to order something with miso, then then the owner or manager advised one of their miso has pork a very minimal amount. But has non the less. Just them being kind and respectful to me would get a 5 start from me and made me a repeat customer.

The Whet Noodle – Menu with Prices – 1813 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside

I’m a chef who likes to go to local places when I’m on vacation. One of the many things I enjoy is ramen and sushi. I went with my wife and kids and at first it started off great we ordered sat down and the staff was friendly. They brought out one of my kids plates then the sushi and were left wondering about my other kids plate. I looked at our receipt and noticed they only charged for one after emphasizing I needed 2. The sushi itself was really good tasty and different. It was on their Friday menu. The kids chicken was perfectly cooked. The second kids plate didn’t come till everyone at the table was served. When the ramen hit the table it looked amazing I ordered the creamy mushroom ramen they had as the special wasn’t creamy nor was it flavorful. My wife ordered the pork ramen off the regular menu same thing looked good but broth was meh. I mean if your going to advertise ramen your broth needs to be on point. Both dishes were bland with lack of seasoning. Honestly felt like I was drinking essence of broth. Was offered coupons and free desert turned both down really don’t think I’d ever go back.

Joe’s Deli and Grill – Menu with Prices – 1710 N Hercules Ave # 114, Clearwater

This tiny, hidden jewel is the ideal spot for lunch. My fiance and I stopped in and were worried it might be closed due to the last review in 2017, but this is a happening place! Tiny strip mall so not a whole lot of parking but of you can’t find a spot don’t fear, they deliver! The shop itself is perfectly cozy. You are immediately greeted by warm friendly staff and you feel like a real person. They are happy to ask any questions. This is a breakfast and lunch place only and breakfast ends at 11am. I got the blackened chicken with bacon Kaiser and my fiance got the Cuban, he chose cajun fries I stuck with original. The cajun fries were definitely spicy but very good. Both fries were perfectly crunchy and fresh. The sandwiches were delightful! Bacon was cooked perfect, chicken was juicy, the bread was fresh and flavorful. Great prices and fantastic food! I highly recommend making this local spot a breakfast or lunch stop during your vacation.

Yatai Sushi Express – Menu with Prices – 8976 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

I’ve tried probably a half-dozen sushi places throughout the Rancho area and Yatai beats every single one of them out in price, taste, and friendliness of the staff. Their happy hour goes for most of the day, making each roll less than $10, and they have options for either AYCE OR a la carte menu items. Makes it super convenient when deciding where to go because we aren’t locked into AYCE when we want to get our “usual” rolls or there are only a couple of us and it’s not worth the price bump. Their specialty rolls are some of the most unique and best-tasting specialty rolls I’ve had without them being weird (what is it with most places exclusively having baked specialty rolls?). Their yatai and “coloured” rolls – the pink and orange – and to-die-for, and I have literally never had better octopus nigiri. I always come out of Yatai full, happy, and not feeling like I just spent my entire paycheck on the meal. I’ve brought my fiance, my friends, my siblings, my parents, my boss, and my coworkers here and they all love it. Whenever I’m in the Rancho area and getting sushi, I come to Yatai.
