This place is terrible and it saddens me because it’s walking distance from my home. I walked over to order my dinner and at that time no other customers were in the restaurant. The owner? a nice gentleman immediately got up and greeted me . I checked the menu and gave him my order. I paid his wife? and asked if I could please have a glass of ice water while I waited . I don’t think the gentleman really understood me, his wife jumped in and said no water, I would have to buy a bottle of water. I explained that I just wanted a plain glass of ice water while my food was being prepared . She pointed to the glasses and said no I could not have any ice water while I waited . I would have walked out then had I not already paid. It was 80 some degrees outside and I just wanted a drink of water yet she was insistent that I buy bottled water. I mean really? I ordered 2 egg rolls and sesame chicken and walked back home to eat my dinner and have a glass of ice water! The sesame chicken could have been sweet and sour ckn with a few sesame seeds on it. The egg rolls were frozen I believe. Bottom line …….I will NEVER return here .

Papaya Vietnamese Café Menu with Prices 15600 NE 8th St STM PM-12, Bellevue

Let’s see, so my wife and I came here Sun after church because she needed to go to Michael’s store right when they opened and I was getting hungry! So I wanted soup and what better place than a place that serves pho’! As we ordered we stood there a few monitors while the lady behind the counter prepped a dish. As she greeted us with k smile and we couldn’t really understand her, we managed to get our order in! I got the beef skirt and flank pho! My wife just a beef skirt pho! We ordered also fresh spring rolls! So as I went Sri get a table my wife waited for the soups. She noticed that on the container the chopsticks were in there were bugs crawling on them! Ant like insect! Of course I was told this as I ate my soup! As I went back to get some hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce I noticed that some of the trays the food is served on were dirty! We paid some $$ for this food So I continued to eat my soup and spring rolls!! We thought we ordered one order of spring rolls bet we got four rolls cut into 8 pieces! Wow! It was good! I liked the pho! My wife complained that she had too much meat!! WHAT!? So she she gave me some which made my soup yummy! A few big jalapeños and I was good to go! Despite the few bugs and dirty trays food was good but since this was an open food court you may expect unsanitary instances, but you need to build you immune system, right!!? LOL!

Blue Reef Sushi & Grill – Menu with Prices – 1080 S Broadway #201, Lexington

I used to love going here. Key word: used to. On this most recent visit, I walked in and stood there for about 10 minutes waiting at the register. While waiting, I noticed an older gentleman behind the glass on his phone. I waited a few more minutes, still nothing. I walked up to the side the gentleman was on and tried to get his attention by politely saying “excuse me.” He never looked up from his phone, no acknowledgement whatsoever. So, I walked out. There were two other gentlemen who were dining in and saw the whole exchange. Even they were surprised by what happened…or I guess, didn’t happen. Needless to say, I’m disappointed as I’ve experienced such bad customer service from here.

Vons Chicken Menu with Prices 650 S Vista Ave, Boise

I am not one to write many reviews.  I do feel the need to review places that go beyond my expectations as well as the ones that fall below my expectations.  I recently saw a news article about Vons Korean chicken that had opened up in the Mr. Wok location on Vista Ave.  I talked to my wife and we decided to try it.  My wife asked for Orange Chicken, I wanted Teriyaki Beef, some Von’s fried chicken and egg rolls to round out our Asian dinning experience.  I walked into Mr. Wok, it was very busy for a weeknight, I thought this is a good sign.  I asked for teriyaki beef and orange chicken, the person behind the counter said, “we do not have orange chicken”, this is when I should have just left the building and went elsewhere.  The thought of Vons Fried Chicken kept me on track to go ahead and order.  I ordered my wife Teriyaki Chicken, and I got the beef. I ordered the honey butter chicken on the recommendation of the cashier.  I was told the wait would be about 25 minutes.  This again was the universe telling me to go elsewhere, but I did not listen, I waited the 25 minutes, picked up my order, paid the cashier, and left the building. To recap,  I got 2 dinners, 1 order of (2)egg rolls, and an 1/2 order of honey butter chicken, bill total $46.00, again the universe asking me to think about how I want to proceed before handing over my debit card, but I didn’t listen. I sat down with my wife to enjoy our Asian bounty, the first thing I did was take a big bite into a mushy eggroll, it tasted like nothing, no flavor hardly at all, what flavor it had was unpleasant.  I moved on to the beef, the beef was tough.  It did taste like teriyaki beef, but for 13.00 a plate. I think I expected more.  The chicken the same as the beef,  tough,  it was hard to eat, but again it tasted like teriyaki chicken , nothing special here for another 13 bucks,    I moved on to a leg on Von’s Korean Fried Chicken.  Let’s give this a shot, I thought to myself, something in this meal has to be worth eating,  It tasted and smelled artificial, like the chicken was fried with no seasoning, and the some type of powder was sprinkled on the chicken, I thought it tasted similar to flavored popcorn salt. Another 13 dollar disappointment. I am sorry Mr. Wok, you have become Mr. NOT when comes to my choice in Asian dining in the Boise area.

Crown Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 11111 Jefferson Ave, Newport News

So, it’s Thanksgiving and I’d planned to have dinner with my daughter and her family. I call her at 1pm to ask what time should I be there and she’s out shopping and haven’t started cooking yet! Driving up and down Jefferson , and nothing is open until I spot Crown Fried Chicken. I’m famished and decided to check them out. It’s a small place with seating for maybe 10-20 people. You order and pay at the counter, if it’s dine in then you take a seat and someone brings your food to the table.I ordered the fried chicken which comes with 1 or 2 rolls to go.There was no wait time because a guy came from the kitchen with some freshly fried chicken.I paid for my order which came up to a little over $9 with taxes which I thought was a bit steep but just thought whatever.Sitting in my car the aroma blew me away and I just had to have a peek. Whoa, am I seeing correctly? So I counted the pieces, 4 drumsticks, 2 whole wings,2 thighs and a breast plus 2 rolls? I gotta try this chicken right here right now! Damn, it’s possibly the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of fried chicken in my travels up and down the east coast.Crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, moist on the inside, not greasy at all.I particularly liked the dinner rolls instead of a biscuit, which can sometimes be a bit heavy laden. The pictures I’ve included only shows about 4 pieces of chicken, that’s because I ate the others before I got home, which is only about 3 miles. This is definitely my new chicken spot!

Bodacious Pizza LLC – Menu with Prices – 309 Aragona Blvd Suite 105, Virginia Beach

Wife and I were here this past Saturday, and the Hostess greeted us promptly, and we seated ourselves after having to get 2 Menu’s ourselves. After letting the Waitress that we wanted Water to drink, we looked over the Menu’s to see what we wanted. Wife decides to get a Cheeseburger, and I see they have Chicken Parmigiana Subs. We let the Waitress know what we wanted, and we waited about 10 minutes before our food is served to us. I take a few bites out of my Sub, and noticed that there was very little Tomato Sauce on my Sub. It was Dry due to the little amount on it. My Wife notices that there is a Couple sitting not too far from us as I mention the Dryness of the Sub, and she see’s that the Woman at the other table is eating Spaghetti, and the Tomato Sauce was non-existed as well. If a place is going to serve Tomato Sauce on their food. it should be there in to where you can enjoy it very much. As for my Wife’s Cheeseburger, she said it was good with some spices in it which she could not place. The only thing is that there was no Ketchup for her to put on her Cheeseburger, and that there was no Onion on it as well. As for the Sides that comes with our Dinner, we had got the Red Potato’s. When we get them, they are served in a tiny cup that is on the plate! What is that about?! It was enough for maybe 3 – 4 Bites before they were gone. If you come here, just stick with the Pastries, even though we didn’t get to try them yet, don’t order the Spaghetti, Chicken Parmigiana, or anything else that has Tomato Sauce with it, or the Red Potato’s as well for your side.

Daruma Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge Landings – Menu with Prices – 4910 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota

Terrible service. We were seated and waited about 15-20 minutes to even be helped and we were only helped because I requested it from a passing waitress. I’m sure we probably could’ve sat there well over 30 minutes without service. Mistakes happen, but then we continued to receive terrible service. After asking for a waiter/waitress, she did not come and take our order for another 15 minutes. We ordered a water, 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees. She forgot the water so I had to ask again. Then all the food came out at once. A bus boy asked if we wanted another glass of water and we got it within minutes. Needless to say, we definitely didn’t get our water refilled at all during our time there. The food was very good, and the only reason I gave it 2 stars. The wait staff is HORRIBLE. There was nothing off our bill and there was nothing done to try and rectify the wait. She never checked to see how the food was or if we wanted more drinks. We won’t be back for another 2 hour dinner, regardless of food quality. I’m not sure I’ve ever received such poor service quality. Huge disappointment.

Saigon Noodle House – Menu with Prices – 27523 Jefferson Ave, Temecula

We got there around 10:45am and not a single person was dining there. The only person that walked through that door the entire time we were there was a lady picking up her take out. The atmosphere there was cold. There were some decor on the walls but not enough to take away the coldness. We like to order our food in Vietnamese, hence neither I nor my husband speak Vietnamese. We just pronounce the food item in Vietnamese. My pronunciation of the names of the food must be good that even the wife in the back came out to see. She started saying something in Vietnamese but I stopped her by saying I don’t know in Vietnamese. Anyway, enough about me. Their egg rolls that cost $5.75 were good, tastier and less expensive than Pho Ha #1. However, their fish sauce was plain. They accommodated us by making chicken spring rolls that was nicely wrapped compared to Pho Ha in which they were loosely wrapped. The chicken spring rolls were also $5.75. They also accommodated my husband by making a coffee without condensed milk but with just milk since they didn’t have any half and half. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. It was yummy but the fish sauce was so bland that I had to ask for another bowl. Still, it didn’t make that much of a difference. My husband ordered a beef bahn mi, beef sandwich. And he said that Bamboo Express inside 88 Ranch Market was better. They were skimpy on the meat and the jalapeño slices were thickly sliced. They didn’t bring us water until the wife came with a pitcher. Then she realized we didn’t have any water cups so she brought us two water cups with lemon in them. My husband took a sip and said “tap water” then refused to drink it. I didn’t even bother. The slice of lemon is to take the bad taste away. I think most places give you tap water, probably not as bad or just as bad. Oh! McDonald’s on Mission Trail in Lake Elsinore has filtered water. Okay, I am derailing here. We probably won’t go back. I asked my husband if he’s disappointed and he said not disappointed just not excited. Yeah, just not excited for us to return.

Kiku Sushi & Grill – Menu with Prices – 7338 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton

Very disappointed with this place today. I’ve been coming here and actually ordering from doordash quite a bit. Today when I came and made my order which is no different than normal they had charge me an arm and a leg. Not to mention that after I put my order in and also specified that I wanted soy paper on our sushi they told me that they have to charge me a dollar per order. There were four orders of avocado rolls. So after I already paid in tips 20% Which was $10 on my initial order they had the nerve to charge me an additional $5 for soy paper. So I paid $56 on my first order and then they ran my card again for an additional $5. I made myself clear that I just tipped you guys 20% for my order and I’m not even sitting down eating here and now you’re going to charge me an additional $5 for soy paper. The stupid girl who we normally order our food from did not even care about my concerns and then the other woman that works in there tried to smooth things over right offering me a glass of water from the sink. This place is lost my respect and my business and I will not return to order from this place again. This place should get zero Stars if I had the option

Mariscos El Culichi – Menu with Prices – 2901 W Expy 83, McAllen

We went to check this place out because we heard it was a good place for food and entertainment. We were not disappointed with the entertainment because it was good and we enjoyed it. However they gave us a drink menu which contained numerous wine selections on it. My wife loves wine so she ordered a glass. After about 15 minutes waiting for it she finally got it. When it was time for her to order another one they brought it back and my wife immediately noticed it had been watered down. When I finally found the waiter and told him about it he said there is no way they would water it down. So I asked him to go ahead and just bring her another glass. He left and came back and said they had ran out… so it made my wifeâ??s claim pretty substantial. Even then we tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt and my wife ordered a different wine from the menu. The waiter came back and said they had absolutely no wine but that they had beer. I like beer and thatâ??s not an issue but why provide a wine menu if they donâ??t have the wine and are willing to add water just to Make a glass. Ridiculous place because of that.

Banh Cuon Thang Long – Menu with Prices – 3347 Belt Line Rd, Garland

Ok… so I’ve waited a little bit to write this review because I wanted to be rational and fair. My experience of Banh Cuon Thang Long is nothing but poor. I honestly don’t know how this establishment is still in business when Texas has such a vast selection of delicious Vietnamese restaurants with proper service. So.. here’s the story: My husband and I were on our way home to Oklahoma from Austin, Texas. We stopped by the Saigon mall to do a little shopping and grab some food before heading back. We saw this place and decided to try it because it’s not everyday you eat banh cuon! Anyway you could say this is a mom and pop’s kind of place. It’s hidden, old, quiet, and small. The inside is nothing impressive. Just like any Vietnamese family business around. There was no one at the counter or eating in the restaurant so we approached the counter and looked at the picture menu above to see what we’d want. Then, an old gentleman comes out. In Vietnamese, I asked him if we need to sit down or order there at the counter. He said we can do either. So I asked a few more questions to narrow down my choices and finally we ordered two banh cuon and an order of egg rolls appetizer. We then go to sit down. Next, we waited and watched as people started coming in for take out and dine in orders. It was then I noticed that people were getting their foods whether dine in and take out before us! We thought well maybe they called ahead. Anyway, about half an hour has passed and I approached the counter and asked the gentleman if we can have drinks since no one has brought out our drinks. I then asked how long the food would be. He said, it’s almost done. Ok… we waited more. 20 minutes later I’m fed up. It’s been almost one hour since we got there. I asked again and once again he said almost done. We then told him to forget about it because we can’t wait anymore. It was then he said wait and let him check. Turns out our food has been done. He said because we ordered egg rolls the food didn’t come out because he wanted to bring it all out at once. When he brought out our food it was in a styrofoam containers in the plastic bag! I was livid. Of course by then I told him to forget about it. I mentioned that we were just visiting the area so there’s no way we could take the food to go.. where would we eat it?! Ever try eating something with fish sauce in the car? Gross! The car will smell for years! Anyway, he has the nerve to tell me that if we wanted to eat there we should have said so. Listen, I speak fluent Vietnamese and I did say so twice! Poor customer service and rudeness will not thrive in the business world. There’s a million restaurants in Texas, I’ll pick another one. Thanks.

Loco Lou’s Grill & Bar – Menu with Prices – 1324 16 Ave NW, Calgary

Poor serivce, waited nearly 15 minutes to order a drink, then 10 minutes before said drink came out. Waited nearly 30 more minutes before we were asked if we wanted food, or a refill on our drinks. The place was empty – so it’s not like they were busy. This was 5pm on a Saturday. My wife got a broken glass, which we had to send back for a fresh drink. Food was pretty poor quality. I got the Mac and Cheese with sausage. The sauce tasted of undercooked/raw flour and probably oil/margarine rather than butter. And there was only the tiniest amount of cheese on the top of it. Virtually no flavour whatsoever. For $14 – I was expecting a gloriously cheesy feast. I was sorely disappointed. My wife had the chicken fingers and salad. Pretty hard to screw up. Run of the mill as far as her reaction. Overall pretty poor experience. I don’t think I’d go back unless I was forced to.

Parador Caleño – Menu with Prices – 4505 47th Ave, Flushing

The food here is indeed excellent, but we encountered a few things that left us a bit uncomfortable and wondering if we’d return to this place. The food, although very well cooked and seasoned, was in fact,a bit cold when it came out. Additionally we ordered water, but the gentleman came out with 2 water bottles – usually it’s tap, which we requested so not sure why we weren’t informed beforehand, but no complaints. At the end of the meal the gentleman came back around and gave us the check (we didn’t request for it – but we were ok with it anyway). I have to say the gentleman serving us was rather pleasant and social, but a bit strange that he ended up overcharging us for our entrees.
