I’m so glad they opened a restaurant in addition to their food trucks! The atmosphere, food, service, everything was phenomenal. The space is really well decorated and there is plenty of seating, although it does get busy for dinner time. I also like how they have a couch and lounge space in the corner for those that need a place to lounge after the food coma hits. Their women’s bathroom is really well decorated and stocked fully and I was especially surprised to see that they have a baby changing station -very thoughtful touch! You order at the front counter and then eat after finding a seat -everything else is self service. The lady working the counter was so friendly and explained all the menu options in detail. I ordered the three tacos ($9) -i decided to mix and match by getting the carnitas, El pastor, and the steak. My favorites were the flour carnitas and the El pastor. They also have fish, shrimp, and veggie options as well. You can also choose from flour or corn tacos in a hard or soft shell. Of course I had to top it with a bottle of Modelo. You have an option from 4 hot sauces-two green salsas and two reds. I decided to try the two spiciest options and both were very good-although the red was a little more spicy. We also ordered a large chips and guacamole. Chips were really fresh and the guacamole was flavorful. I will definitely be back here in the future!

Taco Fundacion – Menu with Prices – 235 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe

Best. Tacos. Ever. We went to Taco Fundación on several of the days we were in town for a few reasons: scrumptious tacos, fast service, cheap prices, and fresh ingredients. How can it get better than that?! They have tons of types to choose from, but I tried the following: barbacoa, al pastor, chicken mole, and bison. The barbacoa proved to be a favorite, as I made sure to get at least one each time I went. It’s perfectly moist, acidic, sweet, and spicy. The al pastor has a good flavor and they make sure to give you several pieces of roasted pineapple, which is what I love to see from an al pastor taco! I did find the al pastor to be a bit dry, though. The chicken mole is probably delicious if you like mole, but it was my first time trying it and I just wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce. That being said, the chicken is super tender and pulled to perfect size. The bison taco, which I got on the recommendation of a super friendly employee, and it was seriously great. It was really moist and had the perfect balance of flavors, especially given the creamy cheese and the sweet roasted corn. They also have a few sides, like corn and chips and guacamole, but I was all about the tacos. Do yourself a favor and go to Taco Fundación ASAP! And then do yourself another favor and go again… and again… and again.

Bandido Taqueria Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 905 E Liberty St, Louisville

I keep forgetting to take pictures so close your eyes while you read this and use your imagination. I got the fish taco (fried), Maui Wowie (el pastor), and the carnitas tacos, plus an original elote. The tacos were good street tacos on small corn tortillas, they only have corn taco tortillas. Each taco had a slaw mixture that complimented the protein. The fish was a nice battered fillet that fit well in the tortilla. The el pastor taco could have used more meat and pineapple, the pork seemed a little under seasoned. I did really like the condiment bar. The serrano and habanero salsas had great flavor. You can actually taste the name sake pepper in each without them burning out your pallet. The pickled onions were superb, thin slices of habanero provided a nice secondary flavor with a kick. The best for last is the elote. Excellent ear of corn with large juicy kernels, coated in Mexican table cream, chili powder, cheese, and with a twist a red “enchilada” sauce. All on an easy to consume stick, it was my favorite. I love knowing I can grab some quick street tacos during my lunch break.

Casa Viva Mexican/Seafood – Menu with Prices – 18911 S Tamiami Trail #17, Fort Myers

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. We came in and sat down and it was at least 10 minutes before we ever even saw an employee. She finally came over and handed us some worn out dirty menus. We ordered guacamole and chips to start. It was a bowl full of some kind of soupy avocado mixture and came with a small amount of chips. It had an odd flavor and was not good. We did not receive any chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants offer. Two of us had the fish tacos which came with some fried shrimp on the side and French Fries. Not sure why tacos do not come with rice & beans. The “fish taco” was one small piece of fried fish, not even as long as the tortilla, with a little cabbage and a lot of sauce. Not good. The fried shrimp were really just some breading and a tail. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the prices are low, our beer was cold and my husband had chicken enchiladas that he enjoyed. The service was not good and the place could use a deep cleaning.

New Flame Cafe – Menu with Prices – 433 E Baylor Ln, Gilbert

The New Flame Cafe truck catered to our office in Scottsdale for lunch the other day. Our entire office placed orders and it was unanimous that we all loved the food. The tacos were 3 for $10, so I ordered 3: shrimp, Sonoran chicken, and carnitas. They offer a side of rice, beans, or chips. I chose the beans. I loved the shrimp and Sonoran chicken tacos, but found the carnitas taco to be a little bland. The carnitas were cut into chunks instead of being shredded. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Other than that, I had no complaints and would definitely order from here again! I recommend it!

Taqueria Amigo Chino – Menu with Prices – 5601 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago

Since I’ve only had tacos 3X’s in the last 3 days I was craving tacos again lol. Tonight is Monday we were driving by Taqueria Amigo Chino on the SW corner of Irving Park & Central Avenue and saw a sign from the Mexican Gods to go to Al Pastor Tacos for $1.39 on Mondays and Thursday. (or it could have been the sign on the window advertising it lol) So we pulled around the block and parked on Central a few doors from the restaurant. The restaurant was fairly busy (go figure for $1.39 Al Pastor tacos). Like most Mexican restaurants they brought us out an order of chips w/3 salsas. Both my wife and I ordered 3 Al Pastor tacos. I’m basing my review solely on the tacos. I’m surprised that Taqueria Amigo Chino is only rated 2 1/2 stars. The tacos that came to table were very good. They were loaded w/Al Pastor, onions & cilantro on 2 corn tortillas. The pork was very good w/a nice crispy texture. The service was good, good food w/street parking along Central Avenue. Remember Monday or Thursday for Al Pastor Tacos for $1.39

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1511 Hewitt Dr, Waco

I tried Fuzzy’s for the first time and didn’t like it. I’ll talk about the positive things first, followed by the negative. The restaurant was clean, lots of open space, however the staff members are inattentive. There was no one at the takeout station. One staff member looked directly at me and I tried to flag her down and she walked away, this happened twice until I had to walk up to her and ask if I could please have my to-go order. My order was ready and sitting there behind a counter, and I probably should’ve just grabbed it and walked out, but I didn’t know for sure if it was my order, and I didn’t want to look like I was stealing food. I love that you can order food online, it makes easy to customize your order–However, they still got my order wrong. I asked for flour tortillas, and got soft corn tortillas instead and honestly, soft corn tortillas are so gross to me, they taste like soggy chips. The food was mediocre to bad. For starters: I liked the seasoned tortilla chips at first, but then after eating a few more chips, I realized they taste like Doritos and that really grossed me out. The $5 guacamole was very bland, it tasted like smashed avocado with some onions. It has no seasoning, no peppers, no lime/lemon zest flavor, and it didn’t have enough cilantro. The avocado ranch sauce that came with the jalapeño bottlecaps is good. However, the $5 “lightly battered” fried jalapeño bottlecaps were heavily battered, I like that they were spicy, but the batter was so thick it ruined it–I ate 4 bites and threw the rest in the trash. Overall, I don’t recommend ordering chips & guacamole and the fried jalapeño bottlecaps. Not worth the calories or money. Tacos: These are all thin, small tacos, and they gave me the wrong tortillas so they were served on a soggy soft corn tortilla, the lettuce was soggy, there was barely any meat, presentation was extremely sloppy. I liked the meat in the brisket taco however it was like two tiny tiny chunks of brisket. The grilled fish taco was so gross, I could barely tell it was fish, it was very cheap fish too–a hard pass on that. My husband said the shredded chicken taco was okay, but again all these tacos had soggy lettuce, barely any meat, (barely any ingredients!), not alot of flavor or texture, not worth the calories! soggy and sloppy and thin. In conclusion, I might not come back, but if someone wants to dine in, I might go along and order something different. I’d like to try something with the brisket, maybe a burrito bowl or possibly a taco but on a hard shell because the soft shell tacos are way too soggy.

Los Chilangos Menu with Prices 14008 NE 8th St, Bellevue

Taqueria Los Chilangos is a solid food truck, serving Mexican favorites. Its truck is located at the Shell gas station at the intersection of 8th and 140th, where they’re open all day. I came here to grab some quick dinner for my boyfriend and me, as I was in the area for a meeting and spotted Taqueria Los Chilangos’ truck. I ordered five tacos, two with carnitas, two with al pastor and one with chupa cabras. For also checking in on Yelp I got free chips and salsa. On a Tuesday around 7pm, there were quite a few people waiting out in the cold for the goods. Of all the tacos, I actually thought the chupa cabras was the best. It’s not something I’d normally choose with street tacos, as it’s a combination of carne asada and chorizo, but I definitely recommend trying it. I’ve never seen this meat option at other taquerias, which is what intrigued me the most. I’m glad it ended up being a favorite. The al pastor tacos were also good, especially with the pineapple on top, which I think all al pastor tacos should have! But the carnitas, which is usually my go-to protein of choice with street tacos, was sadly, disappointing. Meat was very dry; therefore, it was bland. Stick with the chupa cabras and al pastor meats. In addition to tacos, the menu has a lot to offer, including breakfast served all day! (One of these days I’m gonna get a breakfast burrito.) They also have two different salsas that you can choose from, as well as various flavors of Jarritos. There isn’t seating outside of the truck – only a standing table, so not sure if when the weather fares better are when the seats bust out. At least you can park here and eat your grub in your car, which I noticed a few patrons doing. No shame.

Bakery Recording Studio – Menu with Prices – 3844 Clark Rd SE, Cedar Rapids

I really wish I knew about The Bakery sooner! If you love pastries and tacos – this is your place! The inside of the building is purely functional with the bakery/ordering counter on one side and a small dining room on the other. The options are endless when it comes to the fresh pastries offered and all of them are an incredible value! Here’s just an example of what they have: Concha Elephant Ear Berry Turnovers Pecan rolls Giant 2lb cinnamon roll Croissant Various breads Pie Cakes They don’t have many cookie options, but have a small section of pie and cake by the slice. All of the pastries/treats ranged from $0.65-$5! But wait – there’s more! The Bakery also offers a small menu of Mexican classics including burritos and tacos all on homemade flour tortillas! You can even buy a dozen flour tortillas to take home with you (and you definitely want to do this!) I ordered two street style tacos and recommend the carnitas – they were delicious! Chilango’s Tequila Bar & Grill Menu with Prices 901 S Wolfe St, Baltimore

3.5 Stars. I was really excited to see this place open because it’s so close to my house! It’s only been about a week since they opened and I have been here 3 times!!! Their service is excellent (this is only if you sit at the bar… I did notice that the waiter does not come as frequently as I would have liked when I sat at the tables) and their drinks are amazing (portions are generous and delicious)! However, they lose 1.5 stars from me because of their food, considering how expensive it is, I expected better food. DRINKS House Margarita ($10). I tried their original, strawberry and mango margaritas. They are HUGE margarita and they taste amazing. My favorite is the strawberry and mango margaritas. I think the mango margarita is slightly sweeter than the strawberry but both are very fruity drinks! I did try a sip of my friend’s Blueberry Mojito but she had a really hard time with the straw because the crushed blueberries kept getting stuck in it! FOOD 1. Corn Tamale Bites ($6) – Fried corn tamale bites served with quest fresco and Mexican crema fresca. This was honestly the best thing I tasted at this restaurant. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, yummmmm – and it comes out piping hot! They are small little corn bites so it’s easy to share if you come in a group. 2. Flautas ($12) – Spicy chicken with corn and black beans, rolled in fresh flour tortillas, fried, served with chipotle mayo. This was good but not amazing. I felt that it was TOO deep fried, to the extent that the flour tortillas was burnt… The filling is great and the chipotle mayo is nice and creamy with a mild kick. This is also a huge in portion and great for sharing. 3. Guacamole al Molcajete ($8) – Freshly made, served with crispy tricolor tortilla. I love that this guacamole is served in a stone mortar that looks like a dog!!! So cute!!! Guacamole is a little heavy on the onion but I like that. They really nailed the tortilla and guacamole. 4. Tacos ($11 for 3 tacos or $20 for 6 tacos) – This was a huge let down for me. I got 1 fish, 1 steak and 1 barbacoa (lamb) tacos. Considering how I don’t like fish, if I say that the fish tacos was good then it’s pretty freaking good. HOWEVER, and this is a BIG however. I did NOT like the taco shells. For me, I like my tacos with a slightly charred/pan grilled shells. The taco shells here were greasy, soggy, limpy and just sad…. The fillings are great but I doubt I will be getting these again… 5. Shrimp Fajita ($19) – Shrimp fajitas served with rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de Gallo with flour tortillas. This was delicious BUT I am disappointed that I only got 5 pieces (please refer to the attached photo) of shrimp for $19. I get it that they were larger pieces of shrimp but if I was a customer walking in here hungry, I expect more than 5 pieces of shrimps for the price I am paying for. 6. Lomo Saltado ($20) – Grilled flat iron steak sautéed with red onions, sweet potato fries, with special sauce served over white rice. I thought this was good but they could definitely improve on this. The special sauce was delicious but it made everything soggy. I’ve definitely had Lomo Saltado that had sauce all over it but managed to keep the fries crunchy – maybe deep fry the fries twice or pour the sauce over the fries right before serving? Portions were good and the taste was great but I don’t enjoy eating super soggy fries… Also, I felt this was really expensive. My favorite Lomo Saltado is at Pollo Amigo for $12.95 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/pollo-amigo-towson)! SERVICE Great service at the bar – extremely friendly and attentive! I got to sit at a table one time too but my waiter was extremely slow – had to flag him down multiple times for water, chips and check. Overall, I would always go back for their drinks during happy hour (they are working on printing this menu out) and for the convenience of their location. However, I hope that they will work on improving their food… because I would really like to com

Tacosway Fusion & Street Tacos – Menu with Prices – 12800 Garden Grove Blvd unit b, Garden Grove

These are street tacos done right. I was looking for a place close to my work and I thought, what the hell. So I went and tried it, what a surprise. These tacos would kill anywhere in LA. The place is tucked in a tiny strip mall. And when I say tiny I mean if you blink or sneeze when you’re driving by you’ll miss it. As it is you might miss it anyway. Look hard cause these are some of the best tacos you’ll ever have. They make aguas frescas too, so they have the bona fides. The jalapeño salsa has just the right amount of kick and it’s packed with flavor. But you’re not coming here for salsa, you’re coming here for tacos. Carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, are all here and they’re delicious. The al pastor has nice heat. The carnitas are tender, and the asada has a few crunchy bits that give the meat that extra flavor. For the intrepid out there they have lengua, that’s tongue in case you’re interested, and they have a Korean BBQ taco that even Roy Choi would love. They have tortas (haven’t tried them) and fish tacos too. Prices are way reasonable like street tacos should be. Don’t worry if you forget your cash, they take ApplePay. Just don’t forget your iPhone. The decor is bland but the pictures on the walls make for a good laugh. This isn’t fine dining but worth the visit and the tacos.

Taqueria Miguel – Menu with Prices – 3301 Broadway Ave #4837, West Palm Beach

Ordered 3 carne asada tacos and a large chips & guacamole. Took about 10 minutes. I didn’t mind waiting because that means it was fresh. I asked if the guacamole was fresh from today (before I ordered it) and he went and got the container, looked at it and said yes and even showed it to me. The tacos are good. They put a large amount of onions, cilantro and queso fresco. Their tortillas are interesting. Normally, Mexican tacos are served doubled up (2 tortillas) because of the thinness but theirs are actually thick. No need for two. The guacamole lacked salt but other than that it was delicioussss and I consider myself a sort of “guacamole connoisseur” lol. The worst part is there is no horchata to wash it down. It’s not the same to eat authentic Mexican tacos without horchata (at least for me)! Oh, and their salsa verde is in point!
