In a million years, I never thought that I would write a negative review about this hotel. My husband and I have stayed at this hotel countless times. We visit family in LA often and have always considered this place as a calm to our hectic travels. Our check in started on Wed, the 8th. Seemingly we checked in with no issues—starting Friday, we began getting alerts from our credit card company about potential fraud/and our credit card being OVER charged. Turns out, it was over 24 attempted charges that the Marriott has made. At the same time, the hotel began calling us—and even locked us out of our room saying that we owe charges of which the bank had already authorized.I don’t know what has changed about this hotel, but the level of disrespect that we have had to endure is blood boiling. It has gotten to the point, where I had to have my bank/credit card company on speaker at the front desk so that the front desk representative could clearly hear the charges that were authorized (which were all charges that fully paid for our hotel stay) including the approval codes. You would think that would be enough, right? Nope, that happened last night. This morning we woke up to a phone call from the front desk—same message ‘our credit card was declined, please come down stairs to pay.’ I spoke with the Director of Rooms, Henry to (once again) try to rectify the issue, the words out of his mouth were that ‘we’re sorry, but we have a lot of fraud and were just trying to protect ourselves.’Wow!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am in the twilight zone—-First, how would we be ‘frauding’ you when its clear that all of the charges have been authorized? And second, attempting to hold a devoted current customer to pass customers behavior clearly demonstrates your bias. After all of that, Mr. Flores could not explain the error or even why it was happening. He finally took one of the approval codes that the bank provided and used that to settle our bill—and quire frankly we were over charged. He communicated we would get a refund in a few days. We got what I assumed was an apology…the standard ‘I’m sorry but we do get fraud sometime and we needed to make sure we received payment.’ This hotel is just not on their A game…hell, there not even on their D game…..last night after our room lock out debacle, we asked for towels. They never came….20 minutes later I called to ask about the status of our towel request…they said they called housekeeping but would bring them up personally. They literally brought up 7 bath towels….nothing else. We called again, communicated they only brought up bath towels, then got 8 hand towels and 4 more bath towels never received face towels. I was tired and decided that I wasn’t going to fight anymore. I’m now here planning my mother’s funeral and I just want to go home.

Sushi N Joy – Menu with Prices – 2530-J Vista Way, Oceanside

I called in a to go order Saturday night to the tune of $27. I finally get the opportunity to pay and the cashier, Biddy, runs my debit card and proceeds to tell me it’s declined very loudly. I know for a fact the account is not empty, but there’s a long line of people waiting to be seated and already embarrassed from her telling everybody in the establishment that my card was declined, I hand her a credit card. I get in the car and check my debit account and see that not only is there money in there, but that the card was in fact charged for $27. In addition to the credit card charge for $27. I go back inside and she insists that it was not charged, even after I pull up my bank account and show her. She says it’s pending and that if it’s still there on Monday to come back in. It’s Monday, and the charge has posted. I call and she tells me to come in and speak to the manager. It’s not necessarily a close drive and with a grumpy toddler to boot. I drive to the restaurant and am greeted by Biddy and the female manager. They have my credit card receipt printed out and insist that there is no payment from my debit card. I show them and they say they can’t trust that. And tell me to call my bank. This establishment is a satisfactory sushi joint on a good night. Prices are certainly not competitive with nearby spots. So please consider that by dining here, you run the risk of being charged twice for your meal. You will not be refunded. There will be no restitution for the meal you were charged. Biddy is frequently the only hostess/cashier. Due to being overburdened by tasks, she is not skilled at processing payments. You will be charged twice and management has no interest in rectifying the situation. If you’re looking for better fish and friendlier service, try Harney Sushi or Mikko.

Carnicería El Mercadito – Menu with Prices – 103 Muirs Chapel Rd, Greensboro

Please watch them !!! They will charge your card twice and act as if they have no idea what you’re talking about!! Even though I mentioned to the girl she had already ran my Debit-card… I seen the amount reflecting in my debt history.. she said they had to run it again to get a Receipt .. I then asked her what do I do if it comes back that it was billed twice? She said they would refund me via cash.. I was uneasy about this because it just didn’t sound right .. but I didn’t want to make a big fuss . Well 2 days later the charges are there and my bank verified that they charged my card twice a for the same amounts.. I took the original receipt along with my bank history.. and nothing!!! The girl I spoke with said they didn’t even though the proof was right in front of her! I’m now having to file a complaint dispute through my bank to reclaim my money. They are crooks ! & very dishonest ! I knew there would be trouble behind all this when the girl tried running my card again without first telling me why?! Please don’t allow them to steal from you like they did with me.

E?S Fitness – Menu with Prices – 1728 S Greenfield Rd, Mesa

My fiancé & I were ecstatic to join the newly opened EOS Fitness on Greenfield. As we came in, we were greeted and told the front desk ladies to get us started on a $10 membership. We were then redirected to “Doc”. We went over to a desk and sat down & instantly got shown a sheet full of different membership tiers, along with personal training. He got on his computer and asked us “which one do you guys wanna do” as in which personal training sessions we want to sign up for. Shortly after, another team member came over and whispered to “Doc” , “hey man, this lady is saying she needs to ask her husband for permission to sign up what do I do” and “Doc” responded with “Don’t worry, we’ll get her to sign up today”. Immediately my Fiancé & I felt a little uncomfortable and skeptical about the whole situation & were sad at how this company does business. As he came back to try and sell us a Personal Training membership, we said that we were thinking about the cheapest personal training session they have to offer. (keep in mind, we never wanting personal training. we came in for $10 gym memberships and were somehow pressured into getting training) He started telling us about how beneficial the classes could be to reach our “fitness goals” and of course that’s why we came in. Anyways, we thought, “Hey let’s just do it for a week and see how we like it & if we don’t we can always cancel since he specifically told us it was NOT a CONTRACT. Only 3 days go by & my Fiancé was injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. Immediately after it happened, we informed EOS Fitness on Greenfield that we would like to cancel our memberships for obvious reasons. “Doc” then told my fiancé that he could put our accounts on hold and we wouldn’t get charged a dime until we are ready to come back. So, we thought everything was squared away and taken care of as far as getting charged for memberships we never even got a chance to use. Nope. We get charged $180 the next day, we go back and tell them there’s been an issue and that we never authorized the charge. They apologized and told us it wouldn’t happen again but never offered to reverse the charge. So, we had to go to our bank & file a claim against them. That same day, we get another 3 charges. One for $80, one for $40 & another for $170. We go back to the EOS Fitness on Greenfield & inform them that we are still getting charged for a membership we closed over a week ago. We ask them if we can talk to “Doc” and the front desk ladies all sighed and told us “hold on”. Five minutes go by, and they tell us we can’t talk to “Doc”. So we tell them to get rid of all of our bank information and the lady we that was helping us told us that she got rid of our information and that we will no longer have any issues. The next day, and for 3 straight weeks we are still getting charged these insane amounts of money we never authorized. We even got a new bank card to avoid getting charged but somehow they were still trying to charge us over $40 every single day even though the charges were continuously being declined. We told them we aren’t able to pay for this kind of stuff with how high my fiancé’s medical bills are and they never respected our wishes or acknowledged the issue. DO NOT COME HERE. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. THEY DO NOT CARE WHETHER YOUR IN THE HOSPITAL, INJURED, OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER. THEY SIMPLY WANT YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT QUIT TILL THEY GET IT. THEY STILL TO THIS DAY HAVE NOT ERASED OUT BANK INFORMATION FROM THEIR SYSTEMS & REFUSE TO ERASE IT. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND UNRIGHTEOUS. We have already filed multiple claims to get our money back and are currently filing a lawsuit against EOS for putting us through so much pain and hardship. We neve

Downtown Bar – Menu with Prices – 123 N E St, San Bernardino

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst bar I have ever been to in my life. It was so bad me and my girlfriend didn’t bother to stay and drink the pitcher of beer we ordered. We were harassed and threatened by the bartender with the fake boobs as well as some guy that appeared to work there. They told me my money was counterfeit which was bogus because l took it to a bank the next day and they said it was fine. They made me then give them my credit card after they refused to give me my “counterfeit” money back, they said they would call the cops and got all up in my face. Did I mention I 5″2′ an weigh just over a 100 lbs, really big strong bouncer with almost 70+ pounds on me you have to get in my face?! They then processed to lie to me again telling me their machine was broken and they couldn’t take my card, I say lie because after I left I called my bank and they had charged me for double the amount of my purchase on my card. By this time me and my girlfriend we so annoyed she just payed them with her cash and we left without finishing our drinks. I had to cancel my credit card and everything after the whole thing. It was miserable! They charged us almost 5x the actual price if you count the charged to my card! So to make a long story short…don’t ever go to this dump unless you like be scammed for money, threatened, and harassed!

poke bistro – Menu with Prices – 11819 Foothill Blvd ste E, Rancho Cucamonga

Had the bowl. Delish. Had Poke in Hawaii and loved it. This our new go to place !! Thanks for all your help and patience with my son . Great impression! A little pricey but worth every bite! Lol There is a thief among the employees! My son and I went to have an early dinner; the service was great but boy was I surprised to find out via my bank alert that the guy who took my payment also took my debit card and initiated several attempts at fraudulent cash withdrawals at Chevron and Shell!!! Thank goodness for my bank alert or I would have been robbed of $200!!! I’m usually pretty good at getting my card back but I was suffering from low blood sugar. Thank you Wells Fargo for your quick action. Please beware of this establishment and guard your card (s)! I will no longer frequent this establishment and I hope the employee gets fired and arrested for fraud. Manager/owner feel free to contact me as I am going to press charges I know what he looks like!

Another Broken Egg Cafe – Menu with Prices – 300 Pelham Ave SW Suite A1, Huntsville

The last time we ate here, the waitress charged my card for my table and the table next to me by mistake. So I ended up paying $50 for my meal and $40 for the table next to me without realizing it. When I saw the mistake on my bank account a few days later, I called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The person who answered the phone didn’t want to give me to a manager, and when they finally did, the “manager” I spoke with said she wasn’t authorized to do returns. She told me she would have the manager who can do returns call me immediately. I have never received a phone call and ended up having to dispute the charge through my bank. I was so disappointed to have this experience because the food was amazing. Extremely unprofessional for you to handle a mistake you made like this.

Aloft Green Bay – Menu with Prices – 465 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay

I will start this review by saying that I am a frequent at the Marriott and I thought with this being apart of the brand now I could give it a try. Initial impression: The hotel was very easy to access and had great parking in front of the hotel, which was very easy to find a park. I thought the outside of the hotel was clean and it was a pretty nice hotel. Check in: Now for the reasons for such a low rating. Through my banks reward perks I was able to get gift cards to the Marriott brand so it was perfect. My card is already on file when I book on Marriott so I went to the front desk and the staff was welcoming. We proceed to check in and I mention that I had gift cards. The front desk staffed seemed a little confused on how to proceed stating that they rarely get gift cards. So one of the staff members goes and gets the manager to help. Okay cool. The manager comes out not making eye contact first saying “well we need to make sure they are valid first”. Rude! Once they check the validity of the gift cards we then proceed with the transaction. The manager told me to just swipe my card, not asking which method of payment I was choosing or anything, nor a total. In short the manager wanted me to pay the total for the room with my card and THEN was going to utilize the gift cards stating “incidentals”. For me this did not make sense, especially if someone has a coupon or gift card, wouldn’t you want to take this off first? Well then she tried to argue that the gift card did not cover the whole stay anyways which is why she was going to apply it last. Again does not make sense. I frequently travel, I am aware of incidental fees and was in no way trying to move around them but I was not going to utilize my gift card for that. When I asked how much the incidentals were she said she did not know it was up to the bank usually 50-100 dollars. Well if you were not sure you were just going to take the 100 gift card for incidentals because you felt like it?I asked if I could put the incidentals on my credit card. She then said that she does not think they can accept multiple forms of payment. What?? Either way we ended up swiping my credit card for the incidentals and guess what it held? $1.00. Yep a measly dollar. So this manager was going to just apply the incidentals for a 100.00 because she felt like it and was not even sure what my bank was going to charge me for it. Once that craziness was over with she then proceeded to tell us about the area and things to do. The conversation ended positively but this was clearly a training issue if the staff does not know how to apply a gift card. Please address that issue. The room: I thought the room was very cute. Butttt…The bed I ordered was a King and it was quite clear it was a queen. I sleep in a King at home so I am familiar with the size. I then called down to the front desk and stated that I did request a king bed and she asked if there were one or two beds in the room. I replied one and she said “well all of the one bed rooms are kings so it is a king.” Even though we took measurements from the app on our phone and compared it to the dimensions of a queen bed. At this point I was over this hotel. All in all I thought the property was very cute and trendy but due to my poor experience I will NOT be returning to this hotel. I absolutely enjoy the Marriott and will continue to stay at other hotels in the brand.

Renaissance New Orleans Arts Warehouse District Hotel – Menu with Prices – 700 Tchoupitoulas St, New Orleans

Had called ahead for late, late night check in (3am) due to plane delays. Spoke with Troy who assured me he would assign us a room, and a note would be placed on the reservation so reservation would not get cancelled. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a woman at the front desk, who was not friendly or welcoming, and acted as if I was disturbing her. I presented by identification and credit card to her, she briefly looked at my name and announced she had just cancelled my reservation. No smile, and no indication that she would honor my reservation. This was even after explaining I had spoken with a front desk agent, Troy, earlier in the evening about our late arrival. A gentleman, jumped in to assist me, after I expressed displeasure with her attitude and her inability to resolve this issue. This same gentleman, located the notes from Troy. As a seasoned traveler, and a Marriott Member, I will never be satisfied with subpar customer service. With that being said, the location of the hotel was great! The hotel lobby was very nice. The valet were on point, tho the $45 a night, added to your bill, is not cheap! The bed mattresses were comfortable, and the bed linen was more than adequate. Towels, and face clothes were soft to the touch. The room was pretty standard, except for the 42 inch tv. I was able to secure a steep discounted rate for this hotel, and would have been very disappointed if I had paid market price for this room.

Le Méridien Boston Cambridge – Menu with Prices – 20 Sidney St, Cambridge

The one star is for the comfortable bed. We travel quite a bit for business and travel and it has been some time since I have had a more negative experience with a hotel. While booking, I indicated that we would need a rollaway bed for one night, the first night of our stay. Apparently such a request is completely confounding to this hotel’s staff. I called the morning before our arrival to confirm and I was told that if they had a bed it would be in the room. So, we hoped for the best and went on our way. We arrived at the hotel in a car, no valet service was offered. No assistance with our luggage was offered either and no luggage trolleys in sight. So, while I checked in, my husband and daughter removed the luggage from the car. At check in I was given one bottle of water (that’s fine, it’s all in the family so we’ll share) and given the keys to our room. When I asked what should be done about our car, I was directed to the valet person, standing right there. Eventually we were able to communicate that we needed our car to be parked. When my husband and daughter came in with the luggae, the front desk staff asked them if they were checking in. Um, what? You just saw us all together figuring out how to deal with the luggage and the car. When we arrived at midnight (I had notified them in advance of our expected check in time), the rollaway bed was indeed in our room – standing vertical in the corner with no bedding. So, we rearranged the room furntiture and righted the rollaway bed so that it could be slept in and requested bedding for it. We were allowed 2 towels in our bathroom for three guests – we were exhausted from traveling all day so my husband elected to use one of the two hand towels as a bath towel rather than deal with the incompent front desk staff yet again. The following day, we returned again to a generous two towels and the rollaway bed still in our room despite me confirming on 3 different occasions that the rollaway bed was only for the first night. So, we requested that it be removed which is was. We rearranged the room furntiture ourselves and I treated myself to the one tea pod allowed to our room and used one of the two cream and sugar packets knowing now that I would not have it for morning coffee. Day three we returned to 1 towel in our room and 1 coffee pod for use in the coffee maker. Our ice bucket had been put back in place, including the melted ice from the night before. After complaining yet again, we were greeted at our door by a member of the staff with an armload of towels (many more than could reasonably be needed) as well as a plastic bag full of pods for the coffee maker, again many more than two people could consume. I only asked for enough supplies for two people. I don’t understand the hostility. The take home message is that if you want anything within the normal expectations of hotel service be prepared to ask for it. But, if you ask for it be prepared to deal with the attitude that comes with it. Or, just make it easier on yourselves and bring your own towels, beds, bedding, and coffee. Needless to say we will never, ever stay here again and we will certainly not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Concrete Cowboy – Menu with Prices – 3685 The Star Blvd #210, Frisco

I was very surprised for the lack of care for my company group dinner booking at the Frisco location. We are starting to make our company trainings more regional and we always host a dinner out for the trainees one night. I was told a place to go would be Concrete Cowboy. So I reached out to book a dinner. No one answered, so I had to leave a voicemail on an outgoing message that noted nothing about it being for Concrete Cowboy, so I wasn’t even sure I got the right number. Then when someone called me back, the hostess was nice, but couldn’t assist in confirming if I could put down a credit card to pay for our group dinner. She then accidentally hung up on me when saying she would get a manager. Manager called me back to state that they would not take a credit card authorization for “a group that small” (12 people) and that they only take credit card authorizations or payments from someone else NOT in the party for “larger groups.” I told them that is the first I have ever heard of that because I book dinners all the time for events and every other location either does (most places do this) or doesn’t at all (usually smaller restaurants). They don’t pick and choose which size groups can be paid for by a credit card authorization. So I told the manager that no one that would be onsite would have a credit card to pay for everyone, so if they wouldn’t accept me offering to pay with my corporate card over the phone or via credit card authorization, then we would go elsewhere and they would lose the booking. The manager then says “That’s fine” and then hangs up on me before I could say anything else. Apparently our business isn’t any good there. I will be sure to note that for when we have more trainings (larger trainings) coming into the area. We for sure won’t be booking there. I will also be telling our local location to not book there, either, for when they have events. So you may have thought you only missed out on one 12 person dinner, but you have missed out on a quite a few larger and consistently booked dinners, all because you couldn’t accommodate a credit card authorization for “such a small group” and also for hanging up on me. Good customer service! Way to not look at the bigger picture.

The Hawthorne Inn & Conference Center – Menu with Prices – 420 High St SW #5037, Winston-Salem

Me & my family had been staying here periodically for a little over a year due to my daughter having to visit Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for her cleft palate needs. We never had any issues with this hotel. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. We had booked yet again another stay here at the hawthorn in August of 2018 & were extremely unsatisfied with our stay. After a 2 & 1/2 hour drive my husband and I were unaware that the owner/ staff had changed and upon arrival were told we could NOT book a room with a cash deposit (& credit card on file) had to be credit card only (which the previous owners NEVER had a problem with doing). After a 2 & 1/2 hour drive we then were told to go to our bank and put money on our debit cards (this was on a Sunday kind you). We then had to go to Walmart and purchase a money card to pay our hotel room. Which took us another 2 hours to set up. We should have been warned or notified that policies were changing by email, etc due to the fact of us being regular customers. Needless to say we were very annoyed & tired after our now 5+ hour trip of trying to get to our hotel room! Will never be staying here again.

Tai Chi Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 5414 Walnut Ave, Irvine

The worst service experience I have never had before!!!! Tonight, I was going to Taichi to buy their Wonton soup which was today’s special dish offer. When I gave them my credit card to pay the order, the male cashier Wang said: ” We do NOT accept credit cards under $20, especially your order is a dinner special.” What!? Why was I DISCRIMINATED against because of ordering a dinner special and pay by credit card??????? Then, I went to check my purse if I had enough cash, but I did not find any. So, I told them I did not have cash, and when your restaurant posted menu in group, you guys did not mention do not accept credit card under $ 20 anywhere, even in the front desk of the restaurant, there is nowhere customers can find this notice. Unfortunately, this cashier Huang did not explain anything to me. Instead, he said Impatiently and Rude: ” It is COMMON SENSE in American like you go to the 99 Ranch market, they won’t accept, either.” What the Heck!? Then, he started to service other customers who were behind me and just IGNORED me. After I stood there embarrassed about 3 mins, he asked me to transfer the amount to his BOA account by Zelle. Finally, I got my food which was needed to bring to church. Actually, I hate spreading negative inform and rarely give a bad review. However, the cashier in Taichi made it! Good job cashier Wang! (1) If you think people who order today’s special dish are cheap, no cash in pocket and have to pay by credit card even under $20, please mention it early or do not offer today’s special, I won’t be angry (2) If you are afraid the bank will charge your boss the transaction fee by using a credit card, I am willing to pay that several cents for my order. Customers going to your restaurant is for service and pay for it, not for being charged!
