Arctos Coffee and Roasting Co. – Menu with Prices – 1923 N Hamilton St, Spokane

I love this new coffee spot! Really close to my house and the other day I was there at 7am as the snow fell outside and the traffic bustled and I got a seat next to the window that was just cozy and I loved watching the snow fall next to those super cute cafe lights. The coffee bags on the ceiling are hip, same with the lighted coffee sign. I tried the mandala chai and fell in love. Cozy af, and also a great spot to open that laptop for hours or meetup with old friends. This will be a great go to spot for me. Just missing that millennial toast we all know and love.

Whittier Cafe Inc – Menu with Prices – 10631 Whittier Ave, Detroit

Just had the loveliest experience at Whittier Cafe! Glad I discovered this gem. This spot is all sorts of cozy and wonderful. My favorite parts about it: + Ample street parking! It can be hard to find parking for long periods of time at lots of my local fave coffee shops, so this was a breath of fresh air. + The coffee was delish. I had a simple Americano with coconut milk and could go for another right now. They also had some yummy looking breakfast pastries, snacks, and beer and wine (you know I’ll be back for that last one). + The community feel here is top notch. I met the owner who was super sweet and you can tell put a ton of love into this place. Some of the dishes, pottery and a mural were made by a local artist. They have a gorgeous little patio with a tiny stage for live music, and they have traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies every Sunday from 2-4 pm. + Free wifi and lots of tables for meeting or working (can I get a what what?).

Café Kitsuné New York – Menu with Prices – 550 Hudson St, New York

My friend and I were really curious about this place, it’s a 2 in 1 shop I believe. In the back of the store they have clothes while in the front it’s a little cafe. The store it self is pretty, you come in take a seat and the severs will come to you. My friend and I ended up getting our latte and cappuccino to go. I didn’t see many baked goods in the front, perhaps they were done for the day? While my friend and I waited for our drinks, we noticed that they serve food as well, and it looked really good. The coffee took a while, but it was good! The offer soy and oat milk, which is great! The place fits the vibe of the west village. This would be a cute spot for a coffee date.

Naughty Cat Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3742 Tennessee Ave Suite 100, Chattanooga

Absolutely love Naughty Cat Cafe !!! Naughty Cat Cafe is an ingenious idea of providing shelter kitties a relaxing environment to interact and socialize with both cat lovers and those looking to adopt a new best friend. For a small fee you get to choose from locally roasted coffee which was amazing (Mad Priest If you’re looking for really good coffee that happens to be local), sodas, Spindrift Seltzers and other local hard ciders and brews. The Cafe also sells locally baked goods from Cupcake Kitchen you then get to hang out in one of several well decorated lounges where you can interact with the cats at their leisure. The spaces are smartly decorated to give the cats all the things they love. The spaces is super clean and it’s evident that a lot of love went into designing and maintaining the spaces. The staff is amazing as is the idea ! If you are even close to Chattanooga make a stop at Naught Cat Cafe it’s a great way to find a new friend or to get your kitty fix and donate money to an amazing cause.

Lui-Chiâ??s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 10020 101A Ave, Edmonton

This new and quirky cafe recently opened up in the Phipps-McKinnon building and features some unique whisky barrel aged coffee. Before opening up this coffee stand, Lui Chi’s was already established as a small coffee cart so it’s very exciting to have them inside and available in a fixed spot. The coffee here is definitely unique as the whisky barrel aging adds a little bit of bite and a lingering aftertaste. I personally love the roast here but it’s definitely unconventional. Each drink is made to order with options ranging from your standard americano to lattes featuring in-house made syrups. In addition to coffee, they also have some baked treats sourced from Arno’s. Arno’s is another local favourite of mine and it’s dangerously delicious to have these baked treats available downtown when I could usually only get them at the farmer’s market. The brass fixtures and steampunk-esque aesthetic go well with the fresh smell of their uniquely roasted beans. The cafe is in the lobby of an office building so it’s not a super intimate venue but I definitely appreciate the thoughtful decoration they’ve added to the coffee stand. Overall, this is a nice new addition to the downtown coffee scene and I know I’ll be a frequent guest here.

Tart & Soul Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6389 Coburg Rd, Halifax

This little cafe has been open for just over a week now, and I am so happy to report that I loved every minute of my time there the other day. I don’t have an office space, so I rely a lot on cafe’s and library’s to get me out of the apartment. Tart & Soul is going to be an amazing little get away with huge, bright windows, plenty of tables to work at, and a patio space for when it’s nice out. I arrived in the late morning and treated myself to one of their scrumptious scones. Really, they had me at cheese and green onion, but as soon as I took that first bite I knew I was going to be coming back. Their scones are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with the perfect flavour balance for my carb-loving self. Next up on my “must eat” list? Cinammon buns…but I think I’m going to have to get out of the apartment earlier for those, because they seem to go fast! They have wifi, which I’ve come to expect at any coffee shop I go to now, and the password is cross stitched into an adorable sign near the cash register. Actually, I love all of the decor. It’s cute, a bit kitchy and shows a lot of personality from the owners. There were a boquet of fresh flowers scenting the bench that I sat at, though I could hardly smell them over the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the back. Mmmmm. Oh, they brew Anchor Coffee for those interested. I love when local businesses support other local businesses, so that definitely pleased me! And it was delicious too. I’ll definitely be back! I expect I will be working there a lot once fall term starts at Dal.

Shortwave Coffee – Menu with Prices – 915 Alley A, Columbia

Recently got new management and it’s still my favorite coffee shop in downtown Columbia, but now open for more hours! I find many of the coffees shops in the area to be loud, overcrowded, and with tables that are too small for me to study or do anything except have a single coffee with a friend–Shortwave is the exception. (Fretboard is another exception, it’s just a farther walk from campus.) Shortwave coffee is in a great location, is large and cavernous, has cozy areas (perfect for reading) and well-lit areas (perfect for studying), and has a comfortable quiet hum of conversation or music (perfect for coffee with a friend, reading, or studying!). I’m no coffee connoisseur, but I think it’s great, and so is the tea! The staff is AMAZING; so approachable, helpful, and chill. The manager’s just as great–he’s frequently present and interacts with the customers. I often forget to ask for alternative milks and they’ve been so understanding and it just shows how their quality of customer service! I highly recommend checking this place out–you won’t regret it!

The Raven Espresso Boutique – Menu with Prices – 14 St Michaels Ave, Halifax

Finally! Great coffee in Sprayfield! So cute with amazing drip coffee. The Latte’s are So good. I love the London Fog. The beans are from Java Blend and there is cute clothes for sale too. The baked goods are super yummy. A different scone everyday and that are all so good. I love the Feta and Rosemary best. I love the date squares. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Sirens Market & Coffee House – Menu with Prices – 3021 Rucker Ave, Everett

Met a good friend here today. It was my first time but she highly recommended it. I love how eclectic and creative the atmosphere was and how cozy of an environment it seemed. The service was great and the cashier was nice. The coffee was really good too! I loved that the in house coffee came in glass jars and not more paper cups too. Also made for a super cute and personable touch! I look forward to visiting again and recommending this coffee shop to others! I also want to peek at the Market side with all the cute knickknacks and such. ?

Meetcha Bubble Tea Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5960 W Parker Rd #294, Plano

You can be the student, I’ll be the TEACHER If you’re drifting out to sea, I’ll be the one to REACH YA If you wanna worship me, I can be your PREACHER But if you want Bubble Tea, come and check out MEETCHA If you wanna make a movie, my D can be the FEATURE If you want it like an animal, I’m a CREATURE If you wanna get worshipped, I always wanna EAT YA But if you want Bubble Tea, come and check out MEETCHA If Trump remains the President, can I be the IMPEACHER And Barbie’s cheer captain, you’re sitting on a BLEACHER If you were Tom Cruise, then you’d tell her she COMPLETES YA But if you want a good Boba, come along to MEETCHA WHAT! Pleased to Meetcha! Hope you guessed my name! This is a really cute little bubble tea shop with a super friendly owner. They have never been really busy on any of the occasions that we have been in here. Their bubble tea is good. Definitely not great, but we have to explore them a little more so that maybe we will find some drinks that are truly spectacular and worthy of the five star rating that the nice little cozy shop and wonderful owner are clearly worthy of. From what we’ve had so far, I’d probably give these drinks 4 stars to be honest, but since the woman was so friendly, it’s a little local place, Dallas Boba standards are nowhere near those of Cali, NYC, and Houston, and (as you can see) because we had such a nice time in here with Barbie’s sparkly yellow shoes, then I lean towards five stars. But more than that, I lean towards Barbie. Always. And if your Daddy has a belt buckle, he might BEAT YA And if your Brother works as a Doorman, he might GREET YA And if he’s a restaurant host, he might SEAT YA But if you want Boba, then you should go to MEETCHA And Barbie dates lots of boys, so date her and she’ll CHEAT YA And if you’re jelly and you come at her on Social MEDIA Or if you get too thirsty then she’ll just DELETE YA But if you want a yummy Boba, get yourself to MEETCHA And if you’re funny like John Oliver then she might TWEET YA And if you end up dating her, I know she’ll be DISCRETE YAH And I know how she likes it, just pump like a dance BEAT YAH And when you’re done I’ll Meetcha for a Boba Tea at MEETCHA And if you have no money, then she’ll tease you with her FEET YAH And if you have enough then she’ll give you lots of TREATS YAH And if you have a ton of money, then she might EXCRETE YAH And you’ll love it more than the drinks you had at MEETCHA WHAT (And one of these days I’ll make sure she gets ELITE, YAH)

Code Blu Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2620 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis

Came here for a regular black coffee to catch up with a friend and got an apple fritter since their small selection of bakery items looked appealing. Was all worth the price I paid. The coffee was pretty good and based on the taste and price I would definitely return since it isn’t too far away. The apple fritter was a good unhealthy snack to finish the week with between lunch and dinner. They had 1/2 price day old bakery as well which I would definitely check out next time. This seems more like a summer spot since you can sit outside and there is minimal seating outside. If you don’t mind sitting next to a stranger, it’s a good spot. Other than that, there are maybe 10 seats total inside and isn’t a great place to stay and chat or study for long periods of time. The outside of the building is super cute with bright blue paint. The inside is also aesthetically pleasing with stain glass on the windows. Really cozy place, I just wish it was bigger!

Casa Blanca Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 7409 Market St, Wilmington

Just what Wilmington needed: A spacious, clean, modern cafe / event space with house roasted coffee, indoor and outdoor seating, strong wifi, outlets, and a nice size parking lot. Casa Blanca is one of my favorite spots in town. It’s great for meetings because there’s enough space to fit a group setting, and a private communal table in the back. There’s independent seating at the espresso bar and cozy lounge spots near the fireplace. The back patio is great for local markets and enjoying coffee under the sun on a nice day with a friend. The cafe offers standard espresso drinks, a few tea varieties and a handful of artisan breakfast options, such as avocado toast, banana toast, waffle with berries, potato hash and more. They also carry cinnamon rolls and other pastries from a local bakery called Spoonfed. They have a drink case at the front with sparkling and non-caffeinated refreshment options for purchase. I like to come to Casa for meetings, plugging in for a few hours of work, a Saturday morning coffee date with a friend, and market events. I order a double shot over ice every time, though I’ve tasted the vanilla latte with oat milk and it is definitely worth writing home about. The staff are very sweet. Their merch is beautiful, and they sell to go bags of coffee beans if you’re interested in brewing at home. I definitely recommend visiting Casa Blanca, tourist or local, coffee fan or not.
