Simply awesome! My wife and I had a uniquely different breakfast burrito with havarti cheese. Would not have been my normal first choice, but I will be using it on my own breakfast burritos in the future. As for the pastries, OMG. We had a lemon something and a cherry something else(sorry no idea what they were called), but they were delicious. Furthermore, The Decour of the shared dining area was unbelievable. Exquisite woodwork that reminded me of the lodge at old faithful in Yellowstone. The building was from the 1890s and they were a lot of fun things to read about when you were done eating. One last thing the owner was incredibly nice and would probably give you flyfishing tips if you asked for them

Park Lodge Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 411 N Nettleton St, Spokane

****STAY AWAY**** Park Lodge is incapable of training their staff on food allergies and still serving allergens to their customers. My wife and I ate at Park Lodge on 6/14 and apologized to our waitress immediately that my wife has a food sensitivity to dairy and soy due to our 4mo old daughter that leaves her sick for days if my wife consumes it. We asked if Park Lodge could accommodate this and we were told there are options she could eat or have either dairy or soy left off. Our first red flag on this was when our waitress was having a difficult time understanding that eggs are not dairy. The second red flag came when the waitress came back out and asked if brown butter would be okay on my wife’s salmon. No, pretty sure butter is dairy. At this point we should have just left. Then we were brought out two sliced deep fried pickles before our meal. We asked the waitress if this was safe and she said yes it’s just aioli. Asked the question in a different way to ensure the pickle wasn’t deep fried in anything like buttermilk and she said no. Shortly after a different waitress brought the same item to the table behind us and said the pickle had a gorgonzola aioli. Pretty sure that gorgonzola is a cheese and therefore dairy. Also, I followed up with Park Lodge’s hostess on the phone the following day and she confirmed with the kitchen the pickles are battered in buttermilk. When my wife’s salmon came out it almost looked like it had butter on it and then was scraped off. But we confirmed with the waitress and she claimed it didn’t. However, our lack of confidence in her ability to know anything about food and her credibility is completely gone. Our experience at Park Lodge cause our daughter to be extremely sick for 3 days following eating the food there. Shame on the management of Park Lodge in not being able to train their staff on food allergens or ensuring their stuff understands what dairy constitutes. I have also emailed Park Lodge as well as left two messages with the hostess requesting a call back that have gone unanswered. I would have expected A) far far better service from the waitstaff but B) the management at Park Lodge would take incidents like this serious but appears they do not.

Camp Critter Bar and Grille – Menu with Prices – 10401 Cabela Dr, Kansas City

Bar and Grill Located in the Great Wolf Lodge. They offer up a buffet style breakfast (which I didn’t try), along with a lunch and dinner menu. It follows the ‘lodge’ theme of the hotel, but for the parents who need a break, it did have a full bar and three flat screens. The waitstaff was friendly and pretty quick throughout. We grabbed a late lunch here, and it is pretty much what you would expect from a place that caters to kids. We started out with some Chips and Queso (also includes guac and salsa). The Queso was actually pretty decent. I had the Loggers Chicken Snadwich, which is basically a BBQ chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese, along with Sweet Potato Fries. It was an okay sandwich, think Applebee’s entree (but pricier of course). My wife had a wrap that was okay, and the kids went with spaghetti and meatballs. My wife’s fries definitely spent part of their day under the lamp, and the meatballs were straight out the freezer prior to cooking. Overall, it filled our stomachs, and the whole point of this place is fun for the kids, so I didn’t expect farm to table. You will find better alternatives for the money outside of the lodge, but good luck prying your kids away from here to go get a good meal ?

Galley Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1625 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington

This place is so full of memories for me. Located inside the airline pilots building on Mass ave, this place was my haven for breakfast burritos and iced coffee to bring to my early morning grad school classes in the building next door. While in town for work, I walked past the building on my way to work one morning and stopped in to grab breakfast. The line can quickly build because the credit card machine they have is super slow but the people working here are super friendly and they have a ton of fun and different Korean snacks. I always get the sausage skillet breakfast burrito. They do their potatoes right here with lots of flavor. They also melt the cheese to give texture and flavor and add hot sauce to give a bit of a kick. A very tasty breakfast burrito. They also used to have a chicken and rice bowl at lunch that I didn’t see on the menu anymore this last time I came. Overall, always reliable and friendly.

Ken Stewart’s Tre Belle Menu with Prices 1911 N Cleveland Massillon Rd, Akron

Stopped in for dinner midweek. I’ve been to Ken Stewart’s Lodge next door several times in the past, so I was pretty confident we’d have a nice meal. It was great! The parking lot was nearly full and the entrance is a little awkwardly situated, but once we go inside it was the upscale yet cozy vibe I’d hoped for. There are basically two seating options – the bar and the dining room. We sat in the dining room but next time I’m definitely going for the bar and their Social Hour menu. Two of us split the Deluxe Pizza (my half sans olives) and a shrimp pasta on special that night. We even split the accompanying side salad to our entree. And when I say split, they separately plates both the pasta entree and the side salad for us – so classy. The food was delicious! The pizza had a really good Neapolitan crust and very well balanced and flavorful toppings. The shrimp was the high quality and flavor you’d expect from a Ken Stewart establishment. (The Lodge is my absolute favorite place for seafood!) Our waiter, Chris was very friendly and accommodating, and gave an excellent cocktail recommendation. I can’t recall the exact name, but it is the KS something and is normally served muddled with basil – mojito style, I imagine. Chris recommended having it served as a martini and it was a great idea – I like not having to deal with the roughage. An excellent drink and preparation! The food and service is definitely top notch, but we felt comfortable in our “nice casual” attire. A wonderful experience that I hope to repeat soon!

Mama’s Table – Menu with Prices – 23340 Cinema Dr, Santa Clarita

I yelped this spot & basically just looked at the pics of the breakfast and said OK let’s give ’em a try. Upon entering I was greeted courteously, and I stood awaiting my order. I ordered two to go meals for my Ma and I. My first issue was with the young lady that took my payment- my order came up to $23+ & I gave $24. And, she gave a me funny look and said “You don’t want your change do you?” I didn’t want the change, but the way she asked that was wrong. I knew it was because I didn’t pay a traditional tip but again I wasn’t being seated & served, my order was to go. Anyway, I told her no I didn’t need the change, but I guess she saw the question mark on my face, because she then said I would be surprised how many people want their change… Oooo K. If they came in to simply pick up their order, that’s fair. But, she was obviously not cool about my non-tip. I’m a person who tips very well when I dine in. But outside of that I would say to her, you never know a persons situation & maybe some people need every penny of change they have. The plus is that they’re patronizing your establishment and you want to make them feel welcomed and appreciated so that they return, not bad for not tipping on a to go order. I know it made me feel uncomfortable that she was dry begging for tips in a condescending manner. Now onto the food- The breakfast was okay but I requested sautéed bell pepper in my home fries and was told they would add those, but they didn’t. Also, the potatoes weren’t cooked through. They were on the hard side. I asked that the eggs on one of the orders be prepared medium well and not too runny but they were as runny as my Ma’s sunny side up. They got the bacon right though. Overall not a pleasant experience, but the insulting waitress made it very uncomfortable. I hope she changes her approach and just offers courtesy and smiles like the other two ladies did.

Global Infusion – Menu with Prices – 143 Diamond Ave SE, Grand Rapids

I have been a faithful customer here for 3 years. I visit the shop weekly while my daughter has her dance lesson down the hall. I always purchase a drink. Today, there was a new guy behind the counter. I had a free drink on my punch card. He approached our table , and said if I wasnâ??t buying a drink , we had to leave. I tried to show him my free punch card, and he said he didnâ??t want to see it. He was very rude and insulting. I tried to tell him Iâ??m a faithful customer, but he said we had to leave. I was in total shock. Never before have I been treated so rudely as a customer. I guess I will take my business elsewhere if this is how they treat their customers.

Tokyo Love Japanese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 12565 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove

After a nice, fun-filled day at next door Great Wolf Lodge, my family and our friends were starving and didn’t feel like Great Wolf food. It was around 9:30 PM when we (a party of nine, six adults and three kids) when we came in. Yup, thirty minutes before closing time. The waitress sat us, smile on her face but somewhat in a hurry, but menus were given and waters were passed. Upon ordering, she made it a point to let us know, and I mean LET US KNOW, that it was last call since it was 30 minutes to closing. I get it. The staff wanted to go home. It’s probably been a long day. But a customer is still a customer, whether they show up 30 minutes after opening or 30 minutes before closing; no need to make them feel like they got to go. So we ordered. We were a big party, but we were the only ones there. So I’m wondering… why did it take so long so serve the food? Sushi can take a while to prepare, but I’ve been to sushi restaurants that are way more packed that got the food out way faster. Fortunately, I was the first of our party to get my order, but my poor wife was one of the last ones, who must’ve gotten her order almost 20-30 minutes after I did. The sushi was ok. Admittedly, it was probably good just because I was really hungry. Hunger is the best spice, right? I actually wanted to order more, but… you know… it’s very important the we remember last call. Like I said, I get that we came late, but I feel that they did not respect the customer. If they didn’t want anymore customers to come in, lock the door at 10 pm, but take care of whoever is already i there. You know, the ones that came before the official closing time. Next time I’m at Great Wolf Lodge and not in the mood for Great Wolf Lodge food, I’m going to the McDonalds across the street. Seriously.

Hollings Café – Menu with Prices – 86 Jonathan Lucas St, Charleston

I volunteered to accompany a good friend to her surgery appointment down in Rutledge tower. We arrived at 6am and with her not being allowed to have coffee or food before surgery, there’s no way I was stopping en route to rub it in her face. After she went in, I had a few hour wait ahead of me so I pulled up Yelp and was reminded that there was a cafe across the way in the Holling’s Cancer Center. I don’t often find myself walking around downtown before 10am so it was nice to take a stroll over and get out of the building. It’s a very short jaunt down the road and is located right inside the main lobby of the building. Go up a half set of stairs and hang a left or just follow the delicious smells. It seems like they offer, breakfast and lunch to patients, family’s and workers of the center. The greatest thing was that the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They knew all the staff members and their morning coffee orders by heart. Being in a place where people are likely to be having a rough day, I can’t imagine the number of days this staff has turned around for people or at least added a smile to their morning. I ordered a breakfast burrito, a latte, and couldn’t resist the Martinelli’s Apple Juice. They don’t have any seats in the cafe, but there’s seating down the hall or take your food out to the garden as I did. It was very peaceful outside as I sat on my own listening to the fountains and people passed though on their way to work. Everything was tasty and the burrito was phenomenal. I hope there’s no reason you’re ever here, unless you’re working and saving lives and such, but if you do, find solace in a breakfast burrito in the garden. Plus, the smiles in the cafe are free ?

Java Crew Vista – Menu with Prices – 3045 Commercial St SE, Salem

So what customer service do they provide when after you have waited 8 minutes to even order, they then tell you it’s “cash only” because their credit card machine is down? Can you guess? If you guessed a free $3 coffee, you’d be WAY off the mark. No, she provided directions to another Java Crew and one punch on a punch card. YEP, that’s right…total waste of my time and future patronage. UNBELIEVABLE I say!!!! There was no sign saying “cash only”, in the front window…to alert people waiting in the drive thru. UNBELIEVABLE! And the topper? The complete TOPPER? I just got home to email corporate, and spent the time to write them a letter, etc….and when I went to send…their feedback button won’t send! It’s down!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Oh my lord.

Upper Crust Sandwich (+ Catering) – Menu with Prices – 267 O’Connor St, Ottawa

A great new place for the neighbourhood. I would never have stumbled upon it if my husband hadn’t read about it opening through a blog but it is definitely worth a trip. It is located in the medical building at the back (go through the Shoppers Drugmart). The husband had a chipotle chicken panini and I had a slightly altered roasted veggie panini with balsamic glaze and feta. The owner was happy to accommodate my food sensitivities with suggested alterations and we were both incredibly happy with our hot delicious sandwiches. Everything looked tasty and I cannot wait to go back to trie several of the other sandwiches on the menu (and breakfast too of course). The prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful (I brought half of my sandwich home for lunch #2 later that afternoon). If you live or work in centretown, this will be your new favourite sandwich spot! Apparently they also do catering and call ahead takeout orders.

Loose Moose Family Kitchen – Menu with Prices – Great Wolf Lodge, 12681 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove

Loose moose family kitchen is like a home town buffet. You are greeted and seated. The wait staff take your drink orders and then you serve yourself. It’s all you can eat. It has a variety of breakfast foods to fill up on. From omelet and eggs made to order. Or they have already made eggs, eggs Benedict, homemade Salsa, potatoes, bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fresh and canned fruit, cottage cheese, cereal, yogurts, yogurt parfaits, and much more…. Great wolf lodge offers this for an extra cost that you can add to your stay or you can just go down and pay there too. Now it is pricey but it’s all you can eat plus you need to remember the characters come to breakfast and give you plenty of pic opportunities. Overall it was a good deal if you make sure your family eats good. The staff were very friendly especially the ladies working the made to order station. They were working fast and so friendly even though some people were being rude AF and just giving them attitude. They still had smiles and made our omelets and eggs perfect! I would definitely get this again on our next stay! Now they do other meals but this review is only on their breakfast.

Sarge’s Smokehouse Bbq LLC – Menu with Prices – 1500 W Cass St, Tampa

We rode our motorcycles there based on other online reviews. I did not realize it was a food truck, so when we did not find a location at 10:45, we killed time at nearby Harley Davidson dealer (who also has a restaurant which I heard was horrible). When we rode by at 11:15, voila! My riding buddy ordered combo platter – he said the chicken was incredibly juicy, the brisket was killer and the pulled pork was perfect. The coleslaw was standard fare – skip it. I ordered the brisket: Brisket is a good test because it dries out easily and is less forgiving. It was only slightly salty, but with the different BBQ sauces it was perfection. I would not hesitate ordering it again. Baked beans are made from scratch (everything is) and had several different kinds of beans and rectangular chunks of bacon or pork belly. I could eat just that for lunch – for real. If your kids are used to boxed stuff, they may not like it. We plan our rides around BBQ destinations. Honestly? This is one of the best. It took us by surprise. —Helpful Tips:1. If you go early, they might not be there yet. 10:40 they were not there. 11am is their start time. 2. Order the baked beans. Better yet, bring a cooler and bring a quart home.3. This is a food truck, so if it is warm outside, plan on eating in your car. There are two picnic benches only.4. If your kids are used to boxed mac n cheese, they might not care for a runnier one with a little kick, unless they’re flexible.5. Look for the strip building with red awnings. This is a dense industrial area off a busy road. Zero on ambiance, but safe. There is an adult establishment across the street, but the building is so industrial that it is hard to tell.6. Veterans with military ID get 10% discount.I hope you found these tips helpful.
