Amazing food! I have ordered twice from here and the food is amazing. Very friendly service and the food is incredible. Have tried several things but honestly everything is good. You really can’t go wrong here. Very nice people and the food is always freshly made. I call and order in advance and it’s always ready when they say it will be. This is one of those places that you want to see succeed because of the pride they take in their food and service. Give it a shot and you’ll be hooked right away.

The Weekend Spot Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 683 Springfield Ave, Newark

love this place! i stumbled across this restaurant on uber eats one day and i’ve been addicted ever since. so as the name of the restaurant is the weekend spot it’s only open on the weekends. i’ve been here so many times i’ve honestly lost count and there hasn’t been a single time that i’ve been disappointed. I always judge soul food places based on their mac and cheese and their collard greens because let’s be real if those suck i don’t really need to try anything else. but baby let me tell you… that mac and cheese, the collard greens, the string beans, and my absolute favorite the louisiana bbq shrimp… all AMAZING!! i’ve even trusted this restaurant to cater my birthday party so that should just tell you how good it is. i always tell people if they are in the mood for GOOD soul food at a good price then give this place a try. my advice would be to call in the order or use grub hub or something to order in advance so it’ll be ready by the time you arrive. i promise you won’t be disappointed.

KC Pretzel Boy’s – Menu with Prices – 9559 Nall Ave, Overland Park

My office has had pretzel boys in the past and everyone loved it. So when people found out that I was ordering the personalized letter pretzels for an upcoming party everyone was excited. Two weeks before the scheduled event I called pretzel boys and asked them about the order process. I was told that I only needed to give them 24 hours notice for the special order. I called them 28 hours in advance and was told that they could not have it ready in time. I explained that when I talked with them 2 weeks ago I was told that 24 hours notice was all they needed. What was confusing is the guy on the phone kept repeating, “yeah, we need to know 24 hours in advance.” Well, I’m giving you 28 hours in advance… he did not offer to let me talk with a manager or give any kind of apology for the “mix up”. BE WARNED: get your order in EARLY because “24 hours” in advance is NOT accurate.

Insomnia Cookies Menu with Prices 228 E Clayton St, Athens

The delivery service is A JOKE. My roommate’s mom called in an order at 10am to be delivered at 3:30pm to our dorm a mile away on East Campus. 3:30 comes and goes, then 4:00, and no sign of the driver. My roommate gets a call from her mom saying that she called the store and the store said they only had 1 driver who left around 2:30 and didn’t take our order, and that the driver could be there in the next 30 minutes to 1 hour. That would mean the cookies would be getting to us at 4:30 at the latest: none of us had time to sit on our butts all afternoon waiting for a box of 8 cookies. On the phone, the employee also said they could pull the order and have it ready for us to come and pick up. We headed downtown and got to the store around 4:30, passing by a delivery car parked outside of the store and another one at a red light. Infuriating. Once in the store, the girl working knew nothing about our order and had to put it together on the spot. The only silver lining to this is that she said we could call customer service and get a refund for the delivery fee. We’ll probably get a refund on the tip too, especially since it was payed for 5 HOURS IN ADVANCE when the order was placed. Poor time management, disorganization, and horrible service. Be ready to watch the grass grow if you opt to have your cookies delivered.

DN Top Donuts – Menu with Prices – 8691 19th St, Alta Loma

I love this donut shop. The donuts are delicious and the people are so friendly. I’ve ordered large quantities of donuts for my kids classes in the past. Usually I go in and pay in advance. Last night I called to place my order of three dozen glazed. The man I spoke with asked if I could come to the store and pay in advance. I told him it was late and raining super hard so I’ll just come in the morning and take my chances, hoping they would have enough. This morning, the man remembered me and our conversation and hooked me up right away. Very good experience. So glad this shop is close to my house.

Tacos Villa Del Sol – Menu with Prices – 2802 Chihuahua St, Laredo

The place is located right next to the papi chulos drive thru and every time I would pass by there in the morning I would see a lot of people standing there. I always wondered why people would be standing outside in Laredo’s heat for some breakfast tacos. Last month I decided to give it a try since Its only 3 blocks from where we live. All I can say I wish I had gone before! I had a desebrada taco and a potato egg on flour tortilla. The tortilla is made from scratch and cooked to perfection, the desebrada meat has a great flavor that makes you want to eat more than one. They give you red and green salsa and both of them have the most delicious taste. The potatoes on my taco where cooked to perfection and with the red salsa added to them it was a match made in heaven! You all dont know what you are missing! They are MUST have tacos! I now got my co-workers hooked to their delicious tacos. Just a little advice, call ahead to place your order so you want have to be waiting. They call you once your order is ready for pick up.

Nothing Bundt Cakes – Menu with Prices – 12080 Jefferson Ave Suite 935, Newport News

I went to this store to place an advance order so it would be ready when I came to pick it up. The front person had to repeatedly go in the back to ask questions that I had. Finally she told me that I could place the order today and pay for it but I wouldnâ??t be able to pick the flavors until the day I picked up. I asked why would I place an order in advance and not know what I would be able to get the day of. Finally someone came from the back and got the order straight and asked for the pick up time and flavors. She also told me when asked that the sampler trays had 40-50 pieces each. I retuned the day and time stated thinking Iâ??d walk in give my name and walk out with me order. Not so much!! The front person asked for my info. Went to the back, when she returned she said asked what my order was. I told her and said it was to be ready at a time 15 minutes prior to my arrival. She went to the back again and when she returned said it would be 5 minutes. Then she had the nerve to say to me, â??are you in that much of a hurry?â? I explained to her that yes I was and I wasnâ??t sure why an advanced order and payment was made if the order isnâ??t made until you arrive. 20 minutes later Iâ??m out the door. Once I get home I open the boxes and find there are exactly 36 pieces each. Not the 40-50 as told. Lesson learned – order from a real bakery!!

Qchon Chicken – Menu with Prices – 2515 Torrance Blvd, Torrance

I love fried chicken, especially Korean fried chicken. We first tried Qchon (located inside of S Mart in Torrance) because it was the closest option but both my husband and I are hooked now! To the point where we would order chicken every other week because of their sauces. Keep in mind, -We always prefer to order both chicken legs + chicken wings in half spicy and half soy sauce -Whole chicken is not as good and even portion is smaller like many had pointed out. -Their sauces are ON-POINT! It is flavorful and we like it more than other chicken places in Koreatown -As good as it is, sauce flavor did taste a bit different at times; not consistent but consistent enough for us to return -I never had an issue with the size of the chicken like some had pointed out. Perhaps people are used to chicken on steroid! -It takes about 15~20 minutes for them to prepare the chicken, so I highly recommend calling them in advance or you can easily go grocery shopping. Very convenient -For take out, they give chicken, radish and even rice! -They are closed on Tuesdays

El Toro Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 1329 E 4th St, Ontario

I’m a fan! One of the best places in the Inland Empire for Carne Asada! You can have them prepare the Carne Asada for you (giving it the best possible taste) which they also run it through a machine that presses it, and then they marinate which allows the meat to absorb the juices and be as tender as possible. This meat shop has been around for MANY years, since I was a kid my parents would obtain the meat from here. Their produce such as Avocados are always on point; ready to be consumed. Some cool things: # They can marinate/prep the meat for you # You can call in advance, and place an order and walk in and check out (no waiting) # Great service # One stop shop; from produce, meat to Mexican remedies, etc. Some disappointing things: # Only accepts cash or debit… ARGH…. I love using Amex, for my points!!! Overall, not a bad spot and the best I’ve had in the Inland Empire, I’m a fan ?

Spring Garden – Menu with Prices – 2066 Wallace Ave, The Bronx

Iâ??d give it 0 stars if i could. Horrible attitude, for their food to be mediocre. Their food is honestly a last resort. I ordered a delivery and after 5 minutes of placing it they call me that they are downstairs, strange? After having to wait a minute for the elevator, i get downstairs and no one is there. I call and the girl on the phone tells me â??no one there i go homeâ? she hangs up and i continue to call and she keeps hanging up on me telling me to come get it. They can keep their dirty food and nasty service. I wonâ??t be ordering here ever again. Go to Panda just 2 blocks away from this place, a whole lot better !

Kafiex Roasters – Coffee Lab – Menu with Prices – 720 Esther St, Vancouver

Who would have thought that the best coffee in the Portland metro area is in Vancouver? I legitimately had the best shot of espresso in my life here. It was perfectly rounded and not overly bitter; perfectly sweet with hints of blueberry. Presentation was excellent, served with a shot of sparkling water (which honestly wasn’t needed since the shot was so smooth) on a wood board. The barista worked carefully and with great precision, and I could tell she was very experienced. The location is fabulous; tons of parking and the neighborhood is super cute with Esther Short Park. If you’re in the Portland area, check this place out. It is not as pretentious as many coffee places in Portland, and matches if not surpasses the quality of said shops.

Izzy’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 320 W Washington St, Springfield

The best cafe in the downtown area. The food is always freshly cooked to order and amazing! The breakfast is the best and taco Tuesday (every other Tuesday) is awesome. You can call in your order and they will have it ready for you when you arrive. The service is extraordinary and the employees are always welcoming and friendly!

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza – Menu with Prices – 6725 W 41st St, Sioux Falls

Always have a great pizza made every time we get one, and that’s about once a week. We usually get thin crust. And we switch it up from a one topping to specialty. This weekend we tried pan crust…so good. I really enjoyed it and so did my family. I love you can call in your order and within 10 minutes and have your pizza fresh and ready. They’re also really quick if you didn’t get around to calling in your order. It’s a great option for nights you need a quick supper and don’t want to grab a fast food burger and fries. They also give coupons a lot. Most times you just have to call and take a quick survey and you get a couple bucks off your next pizza. They have desert pizza options and cookie dough. We’ll continue to eat Papa Murphy’s for years to come as opposed to expensive delivery places.
