This was my first time visiting the place. The pork belly tastes amazing! Small intestine was also really great. The sour cabbage fish pot was really good too. However, the reason why I’m giving it a three star is because the customers are allowed to smoke inside the restaurant! We were seated in the booth, and the booth next to ours was smoking the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. It absolutely ruined my dinner. The service there was also really good, very friendly waiters. Just wished they would say something about people smoking.

Minuti Coffee – Menu with Prices – 505 S Fry Rd, Katy

Minuti is my neighborhood coffee shop. I want to love it BUT the SMOKING. They built this beautiful outdoor space and people, like me, with small children can’t ever enjoy it because they allow smoking in the area right outside the door. Each time I’ve gone the entryway is always blocked by a cloud of nasty cigarette smoke (with always more than 2 tables of smokers) way closer than 25 feet away from the entrance as required by code. I know I and other families in the neighborhood would love to enjoy Minuti for more than just drive through if I didn’t have to breath other people’s cigarette smoke.

The Champagne Club – Menu with Prices – 2710 Nuttman Ave, Fort Wayne

I’ve been to lots of clubs around the world and this is one of the cleanest. It’s a big space with lots of comfortable places to sit and socialize. It was an insanely hot day outside, but the temperature inside was excellent, meaning it was cool but not cold. We attended on a Friday night. Single men were allowed that night but were well behaved and people were laid back and friendly. We aren’t smokers, but there is a private smoking patio with seating accessible from inside the club.

Strawberry South – Menu with Prices – 48 S 7th St, Kansas City

I have been to this private club twice, once on a pub crawl and once with a member. I don’t know how to become a member and don’t plan to find out. Because it’s a private club smoking is allowed. Hey, that’s cool for them but not for me. After I quit so many years ago now I can’t be around smoke for longer than 10 minutes. The bartender has been nice each time I have been in. The customers are more like “what the heck?”. I’m ordering a Miller Lite and Jameson and they’re drinking Bud – not Bud Light – a true non light Budweiser and no one really has shots. I have been told it’s like the old beer bars of KCK when the alcohol of choice was beer only. If you’re a smoker and looking for a bar to drink and smoke in – this is your place. If you can get a membership card.

Vietnam Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 74 N Cleveland St, Memphis

You can call me Fox Nguyen Ngo Vu Do Pham Le Tran. But that’s just my… Viet Name. This was a pretty bad experience. The lady didn’t seem to want me in here (I get that a lot on dates honestly). And I didn’t want to be in here either because once I walked in there were clouds of cigarette smoke. Yes inside. I didn’t know this is one of the states where you could do that. What the f**k is wrong with Tennessee? And what is up with the regulars and workers in this restaurant thinking that it’s a good idea to have your restaurant filled with clouds of smoke? It was really busy too. Kind of depressingly so considering the clouds of smoke. Anyway, she whipped me up a mid-price Vietnamese coffee that was very middle-of-the-road. Very strong. Probably a little bit less than average. I didn’t have very much of it. It put me off a little bit that everything is stored and kept around lots and lots of smoke but even if that wasn’t the case I wouldn’t have loved this. And I certainly won’t be able to come and eat here considering that. I wouldn’t even want to eat takeout food from here considering how much smoke is on the inside and how everything smells like smoke. I smelled like smoke and I was only in here for 2 minutes. The only reason I give it three stars is because it is a family business.

Coastal Flats – Menu with Prices – 11901 Grand Commons Ave, Fairfax

Service is EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, last night we didn’t experience this during our dinner. We were seated in a booth near the back doors, and for some reason the manager decided to have a few kids (or maybe they were workers at the restaurant with no uniforms) put up Christmas decorations at the same time guests were eating. That wasn’t a problem until they kept opening and closing the back door instead of using the revolving door as there was very cold air coming through. At one point they kept the door open, and we had to ask them several times to please close it as not only we were chilly but our food was also getting cold way too fast. The worst part of our entire experience is when we spoke with the manager at the end (did not get her name but it was a female manager, skinny, and dark hair). Her response was that it was her decision to put up the decorations at that time, and we received absolutely NO APOLOGY from her as she spoke to us with an attitude and walked away. We were in shock! This was definitely very bad management, and unfortunate for a restaurant that my family has visited and invited guests to numerous times.

Vault & Vator – Menu with Prices – 655 S Main St, Greenville

What a fun place! I came here with my sister and Mom during a girls’ weekend. We were so excited to find a quiet space to catch up on a Friday night. We were immediately welcomed and seated. I enjoyed the booth seating. It was private and comfortable. The waiter was very knowledgeable and able to guide our decisions. My mom really needed a drink without bubbles and they were able to accommodate her. My first drink was a whiskey based cocktail with spiced pear liqueur. It was delicious, but a bit too sweet for me. I typically enjoy more Spirit forward drinks, so I changed directions. I explained to him how much I love smoke and that I wanted to try their Sazerac and he really made me an amazing drink. He filled a glass skull head with the already made cocktail and then proceeded to fill the rest of the glass with smoke. He then placed a cork in the top of the glass skull and brought it to the table. The smoke was sitting on top of the cocktail inside the glass skull head and looked so amazing. He then proceeded to do a “smoke wash” where he mixed the Sazerac in with the smoke. He then poured it into a glass for me. I’ve been to many cocktail places and have had smoked drinks, but I had never seen anything like this. I was very impressed and it was delicious. Bonus: they have happy hour where cocktails are $2 off. Quiet and cheaper around that time. Perfection.

Big Tyme Billiards – Menu with Prices – 100 Cypresswood Dr ste g, Spring

This place is cool! Great drink specials! Cheap pool! The tables are good and kept up. Bartenders are very attentive. Devon was bery good to us. If I were rating her service she would get 5 stars. The down side to this place is the smoke.! We went in about 8p.m. on a Friday and the place was already half full of smoke.. We could not even see across the building cause the smoke was so thick. Only took about 25 mins for our eyes burn and water from all the smoke. If there where maybe fans or some type of ventilation system to clear some of the smoke out or even a non smoking section this place work rock. We tried the “new menu” and were not impressed. Burger patties and fajitas tasted like they came from the freezer section of Family Dollar. Patties were not 100% beef maybe some kind of soy mix patty. With that being said of we return it will be only because Devon was so good to us. Being that it was our first time I believe they are worth another shot.

3 Keys Brewing and Eatery – Menu with Prices – 2505 Manatee Ave E, Bradenton

I really wanted to love this place. My food was very good and my beer was decent. We had the wrap and the buffalo chicken waffle and it was delightful. We appreciated it being dog friendly as our dog is with us on a bucket list adventure. However it appears they feed the cats in the area. Iâ??m unsure if itâ??s to keep the mice out or just strays but for being a dog friendly place cats are the last thing most people want around. It made the dinner stressful as the cat sat right underneath us on the deck and stared at our dog the entire meal. We ended up taking her to the car and leaving instead of having another beer because it was just too much. As we left the cat jumped onto the outdoor patio and ate from a bowl. I canâ??t imagine we are the only pet parents whoâ??s dog doesnâ??t like cats and it just ruined the entire evening and just left a bad taste in our mouth even though the food was good.

The Grove Hotel Menu with Prices 245 S Capitol Blvd, Boise

For how highly everyone spoke about this hotel, I’m extremely underwhelmed. From the second o arrived, I was rudely greeted by the valet Austin. I mentioned this to the manager and she said that she’s had to speak to him about this before and she apologized. Not sure why you’d keep an employee who has to be constantly reminded not to talk down to guests. ? Later, I’m in my room with my balcony door open, and all of a sudden, my room smells like cigarette smoke. Someone on a patio nearby was smoking and that area is “non smoking.” Although, in that persons defense, not one single sign on the patio to tell people that smoking is not acceptable there. I called the front desk and they did address the problem rather quickly. But maybe try putting some “no smoking allowed” signs and you can avoid this in the future. Now to the room. I upgraded to one of the “nicest suites on the property,” or so I was told. The room was huge and beautiful. However, whoever designed this place put these rooms directly below the fitness center. So if you like waking up to the sound of weights dropping, or the thumping of someone running on a treadmill, then this is the room for you. However, if you enjoy your peace and quiet like I do, well, then you’re out of luck. Be prepared to wake up at 5-6am every morning to loud bangs! When I brought this up at checkout, the woman at the front desk mentioned that she has heard complaints before. Maybe it’s time to move your gym. People don’t like paying for the “nicest” suite in the hotel, to feel like theyre staying in the middle of a thunderstorm. Who woulda thunk it? the worst part, no restitution was offered. Not a discount, not any extra points, not a drink voucher. I probably would honor have taken it anyway since I probably won’t stay here again, but it would have been nice to offer. Too bad! Thought this would finally be the hotel for me when I come to Boise for work. Looks like the search continues

Arrivederci – Menu with Prices – 8900 E Pinnacle Peak Rd Ste D1, Scottsdale

We bought a Groupon and made a reservation for dinner. We ended up getting to the restaurant early and went to the bar for a glass of wine beforehand. Happy hour happened to be going on, which ended up being only $1 off each glass. We paid and tipped the bartender and then checked in to be seated for dinner. I believe the older woman who was our server may have been one of the owners. She was very pleasant to us during dinner but as soon as we went to use our Groupon her entire demeanor changed and she became EXTREMELY rude to us! To the point where my fiancé and I were very uncomfortable! She stated that it is against Groupon rules to partake in happy hour. We were not attempting to use the Groupon AT ALL for happy hour! That was a completely separate transaction in the bar area PRIOR to our dinner. We have done that several times at other restaurants with absolutely no problem. She made us feel like we were awful people for having a Groupon and kept telling us we were breaking Groupon rules. It was completely over the top and childish how she began acting. She then stormed off with our bill and added a 20% tip, which was not on there when she brought the original bill. We have never seen that done before! Again she stated that is Groupon policy, but we contacted Groupon and they said thatâ??s absolutely not part of their policy. We are great tippers, and tip more than 20% to each restaurant we go to. I was left shaking with how rudely we were treated. They shouldnâ??t be on Groupon if they become furious when customers attempt to redeem them. By the way, the restaurant was completely empty, besides us there was only three other tables occupied at 6-7pm on a Friday night. When we have a good Groupon experience we become return customers, this is one place we absolutely will not be returning to. The manager lacks professionalism and respect for customers. One of the worst experiences we have ever had, and we shared this with many of our friends in the neighborhood.

Tiki Tide Kava Bar – Menu with Prices – 3418 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale

I still love this place…kinda. Why the kinda? 1. Sometimes when I come by some of the customers are smoking at the front door which causes me to hold my breath while walking in the bar. 2. If I sit on the comfy sofas at the front door, and someone walks in and customers are smoking cancer sticks at the front door, I get a big breeze of death in my face. Then I have to leave my comfort zone and go sit on the barstools furthest away from the front door. 3. Some of the patrons walk in and out of the bar every 10 minutes to go smoke outside, but when they come back they bring the filthy smell of cancer sticks with them. Which again causes me to get up and find a new seat. But this isn’t why I am demoting two stars, the owner doesn’t really have control over this outside of customers standing or sitting at the front door smoking. This is why I am demoting two stars. 1. I was there one night and a dude walked by me smoking a juul(small electronic cigarette). For those who do not know e-cigarettes are far more dangerous than cigarettes, they’re not regulated by the FDA and have much more nicotine and other harmful chemicals than regular cancer sticks. After I smelled the chemicals of the e-cigarette I cut my time there short and left. 2. Tonight was rainy and cold so I had the whole bar to myself. But then this stoned looking dude who looked exactly like Spicoli from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” walked in barefoot and sat at the other end of the bar. Although I was 25 feet away from this dude he reeked of cancer stick, I could barely tolerate it. I continued doing stuff on my phone when out of the blue my chest started to hurt, and I developed shortness of breath. When I looked up dude was smoking a vape in the bar. There was a huge 4 ft ball of chemical smoke surrounding this dude. This explained my chest pain & shortness of breath. I abruptly got up and left. The whole purpose of a kava bar is to escape the cancer sticks and the typical bar behavior & culture where they serve alcohol. But unfortunately, kratom seems to attract these types. 500,000 people die a year in the US from first and second-hand smoke. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do because I like the place and the employees. Maybe I can come in the day when fewer people are there, or come and disappear when they start smoking. Or I might not come back at all, I’ll see. It’s two hours later since I left, and as I am writing this review my chest still hurts.

Mary’s Kountry Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 222 Main St, Wilmington

Started going to Mary’s when I was younger, Now 40+, I go 3-4 times a week for breakfast and I’ve never had a disappointing experience. Management, Waitresses, Waiters, Cooks, Bus people, and Cashiers are all professionals and very friendly. Had my Son’s Graduation dinner at Mary’s yesterday and it was truly a wonderful day. 40 plus people enjoyed their food and I’ll bet those who have never been there will definitely go back. Great reviews to me as they were leaving. Carlena, her Brother and their staff are excellent. Thanks especially to Rihanna for the awesome job she did waitressing this dinner.
