Mjs fish and Chicken Express – Menu with Prices – 716 E Enos Ave, Springfield

We were in town for a dance competition. Needed a place nearby that was quick so we could return. A quick google search found MJ’s and we seen the great reviews. Thought we would check it out. When pulling up we knew we had found a gem. Located in a residential neighborhood and no big frills from the outside instantly drew us in. The staff was beyond nice! The owners were there and took the time to come out and welcome us. The food! Wow! The food was excellent! When our plates arrived we could not believe the amount of food. It tasted great! The wings, chicken sandwich, mac and cheese. All truly excellent. We will be sure to stop back in next time we are in town.

Darkshot Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1 Lake St, Reno

Litterally some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I really suggest going here even if your not staying at the renaissance. Scott is a really nice guy who takes care of his customers so definitely go support local buisness and get some amazing coffee and great service at the same time!

MOJO Federal Swine & Spirits – Menu with Prices – 130 S Tennessee Ave, Lakeland

Found a parking space quickly, but feel it was almost a miracle since there is only downtown street parking available. No way to predict if you will find a spot. Walked the block (hubby is mobility challenged, so this can be an issue) to the building. On entry, it is so much more a bar than a bbq and bar combo. I ordered water with orange slice (was delivered without the orange and without explanation). Hubby ordered iced tea. We took our time ordering because it was our first visit. It was nice that the wait staff didn’t keep “checking in”; she gave us our space to read the whole menu. First strike occurred when hubby ordered wings but all drummets – quick answer Nope, can’t do that. Can’t pick through the chicken to find just drums. Second strike was when he asked for the wings to be naked and mild sauce on the side. Another quick answer Nope, can’t do that. Our sauce is our sauce, no special requests. Third strike was when hubby politely told her Nope, we can’t eat in your restaurant, just tell me how much I owe. She actually went behind the bar, took care of 2 other customers, then rang him a ticket for his iced tea! Any decent customer service oriented person would have APOLOGIZED for the failure to satisfy a customer and comped the tea. So, if you want to have a drink, It MAY be ok. But if you want to eat and enjoy friendly service – skip this place.

Bear’s Smokehouse Barbecue – Menu with Prices – 470 James St, New Haven

The first time I went to a Bear’s, I went to the one in Windsor. It was nice, not too many people there, and everything was really excellent! I love the food (big fan of the Mac Attack with Kielbasa) and overall had a great time. Fast forward to a couple months ago and now I have one that’s literally maybe 3 exits off the highway away from me! Went with some friends before heading to a show at the Shubert, and the place was packed!!! Service was slower due to the packed place, but still excellent food. I just went again recently to discover they added a section where you can order food right in front of you instead of getting table service. I liked this idea a lot, since the bar side was absolutely packed with a private party going on and we most likely were not going to get quick service if we went to that side. I’ve always enjoyed their food and even loved it the next day as well (heats up nicely). I’ve always gotten the Mac Attack either with Kielbasa or the burnt ends. I’d love to go on a day that’s not so busy and spend more time checking out the beers on tap. Always excellent food, and I’m glad to see they are becoming more and more accommodating for faster service since they do get crazy busy!

Truly Cigar Bar of GA – Menu with Prices – 2745 Sandy Plains Rd #136, Marietta

Was in town from the Bay Area and in need of high quality cigars and found this spot purely by accident. When I walked in, I noticed a good space for folks to hang and burn stogies. That’s always an excellent start. When I walked inside the humidor and looked around, I saw all my favorite brands. Oliva, Arturo and Davidoff. Considering that my lovely wife was standing right next to me, splurging for the Davidoff didn’t seem like a smart play, so I went with an Oliva Connecticut Reserve. In fact, I bought 3 and managed to spend less than $25. Excellent location, great selection, friendly service, fantastic pricing. That’s a 4 star location indeed.

Last Resort Grill Menu with Prices 174-184 W Clayton St, Athens

The dining experience started a little rough. We signed up through Yelp to join the cue while digging into town. It said it was going to be a 4 hour wait: 10:17 pm… When we got to town I checked the counter, he said it should only be another hour instead of three. When we finally got sat Ott was 30 minutes past our estimated wait. Needless to say we were a little hangry. I didn’t really want to wait, but friends wanted to. Our party was only 3 people. So beginning, the bar was set extremely high on top of being told this was the best restaurant in town. The food: 5 stars, amazing. We split two appetizers, three entrees, and a desert. The apps we chose were the crab cakes and pork belly. Wow, so much flavor and so delicious. The entrees: flank steak, parchment chicken, and six hour pork. All so good and reach a little different. Not sure I could say which one was best. Finally, the dessert: white chocolate cheesecake. It tasted like a big Oreo cake. So much flavor and so good. The service: Five stars. He was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Great spot, highly recommend. Defintely would come back if I’m ever in town. Thanks for the great experience!

Broken Robot Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2860 SE Gladstone St #102, Portland

This place is so cute! Small space, but actually has decent amount of seating. Fast internet. It’s really chill inside. I had a super yummy spicy chai, and the owner said her brother created the recipe and I believe said the recipe includes things like fresh ginger juice. She made me a totally bomb bagel sandwich…egg, cheese, tomato, and avocado on an everything bagel (which I think was from Spielman, as an east coaster, I have feelings about bagels, and this was a good one). The best part is that I am sitting here and the owner seems to personally know everyone who comes in. She is super friendly and caring towards customers and apologized to me for having to wait for my bagel sandwich when I didn’t even notice the wait. EXCELLENT customer service! In a town full of snooty baristas who don’t give a shit, take your tip money here instead. ?

Chang’s Fish Market – Menu with Prices – 110 Johnson St, Fayetteville

THIS IS THE BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN TOWN!!! My mom came here, I go here and now my children go here. I do not go to any other place to buy seafood as I am very particular when it comes to this. I use to in times past but I gave up after one bad experience. The only reason I would rarely stop somewhere else is because Chang’s is a ways from where I live but I have found and know that it is more than worth the drive. Their fish is always fresh, hand picked through, they do not sale anything that is not up to their standards which are very high, the customer and their safety is always at the forefront and not the money. I can not express how much I have grown to appreciate their service to our community as a whole. They are very personable, very courteous, and have excellent customer service. Mrs. Thomas makes sure your fish is the way you want them and they are ALWAYS cleaned to perfection. I have never taken fish from there that were not cleaned right. Mr. Thomas is the best seafood fryer/boiler in town. He takes his time with each customer and is never in a rush. He makes sure that your fish is cooked properly if you choose to have him cook them and it is cooked as if it was something he was going to fix for himself or his family. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas take great pride in what they do. They know that many still depend on them and even though it gets hard at times, they always show up, they always give you their best , it is always known and shown how much they love what they do and those that support them You do not have to have your food prepared by them as they sale raw seafood that you can take home prepare or even freeze until you are ready for it which is what we usually do. Even when I freeze my fish because of the quality of it, it still tastes fresh and my family always enjoy it. Please help celebrate them, support a local family owned business that has stood the test of time, they have owned this business some thirty years and counting and I make sure I support them as well as my children and other members of our family. Z MAGIC CAFE – Menu with Prices – 405 N Country Club Rd, Garland

Awesome local restaraunt. Usually not very busy at all so walk-in orders aren’t slow. There’s a wide variety of options on the menu, my personal favorites being the burger, quesadilla and hot wings. They are also very affordable too compared to other similar places in town. The owning family is very very nice and sweet and provide excellent, home-like customer service! Definitely give this place a try. You can also call orders in ahead early to eliminate the wait!!

krispy krunchy chicken – Menu with Prices – Tallahassee

This is hands down the best fried chicken in town. It’s in a gas station, and has a weird little drive through, but it’s quick and doesn’t disappoint! I usually get the mixed chicken 3 or 4 piece which is plenty for one. It comes with a honey biscuit, which is usually hit or miss – when fresh, they’re amazing… but if they’ve been sitting out for a while they can get a little hard. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because their sides aren’t great and the biscuits are inconsistent. The chicken is always 5/5 and I’ve always had friendly fast service! Would recommend for your quick fried chicken fix.

Buddy Chicken And Boba – Menu with Prices – 20 City Blvd W, Orange

4/5/19 2 star for customer service//3.5 for food/drinks …came here to grab a quick bite and drink. I noticed their menu changed a bit, they now have combos which I actually like. When we got in, there was no cashier at the store… but the cook was there to take our order ahead. We waited about 3 minutes and we saw the girl walking in, she didn’t look very apologetic that we had to wait for her to take our order. Our popcorn chicken and fries came out first, because the girl was still taking orders from the others that was also waiting behind us. We finally got our drinks. Our combo only came with one sauce, so we had asked for an extra. (The combo really needs two sauce, to be honest!) The girl said it was .25 cents extra (you would think she would just comp that .25 knowing we had to wait for her to return to her job) So we just paid it. As we were eating our combo, the girl left again… she went across the way to get her lunch(to go, I guess her order was ready) I’m just saying, it’s really bad customer service when you have to wait to be served….we too were on limited time. It was just the overall experience was not very pleasant. If the girl’s attitude was more apologetic, it would have been a diff story. I just came here for the plum popcorn chicken. I’m a fan of their plum popcorn chicken and their sriracha dipping sauce. I always get the green peach tea boba. Refreshing! Service here is pretty quick, staffs are cool.. Get your boba k

Payette Brewing Company Menu with Prices 733 S Pioneer St, Boise

In town on a layover, wanted to try some local beer with my bf and popped in here. We were checking out the flight menu at the bar and weren’t sure what to do next to order so we walked nearer to where two bartenders were standing. They were having a conversation, my bf said ‘hey guys whats going on’, very politetly. One looked right at my bf and clearly acknowledged his existence, and turned back to the side to keep talking to his coworker. We just stood there and then he looked back at us with a blank stare and didn’t say A THING. I said ‘is this not where we order?’ And he got us our flights without one once of customer service, even though my bf kept saying thank you and was being kind. We discussed afterwards that was the most awkward conversation and customer service interaction wed ever had. We didn’t feel like we did anything out of the ordinary, just trying to order. I approached the bartender a few minutes later and asked if we did something wrong, and he said he was just in the middle of taking care of other customers and he had seen us and was getting to us next. Well that’s chill bro all you had to say was hey guys what’s up? I’ll be with yall in just a second. Not act like we were the most inconvenient part of your day. We work in your industry and get it. And that was awful customer service bros. Never been treated so poorly on the first interaction before.
