The reason I give a 5 star was because of everything worked out perfectly. My original plans was going to streets restaurant…but they are closed permanently. Walked Into Ruben and it was like walking in to your favorite uncle or cousins house. Your basic breakfast place which is fast..in 5 mins u hve breakfast fully cooked in front of me. The cook was so friendly and nice. It felt like long lost family. Had 2 fried eggs, home fries and grilled salami. Omg, reminded me of growing up. Now not the healthiest choices with the salami but it was straight and to the point with friendly atmosphere. Apparently the mornings are full with people. Luckily was there at 2pm. Also had a morrir sonando drink that was prepared fresh and good. Sweet oranges with milk. There was enough for 2 people. I left so stuffed and it was so cheap. It’s a nice place for a quick bite that’s just refreshingly simple and good.

Moocho Burrito – Menu with Prices – 200 W Erwin St, Tyler

I was close by at lunch time and thought I’d give it try. I had the vegetable burrito with a side of rice and beans. The menu had a variety of burritos, tacos, tortas, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. My order was came out within a few minutes. My burrito was a mix of beans, rice, cheese, spinach, onions, tomatoes, and avocado. It was grilled like a panini sandwich. It was very fresh and tasty! I enjoyed the sides of rice and refried beans. The taste reminded me of a really good street taco truck, fresh ingredients made fresh. They served breakfast and lunch. Nice atmosphere, very friendly, I would go back again if I was in the area.

Eggs Up Grill – Menu with Prices – 3935 Pelham Rd, Greenville

What a find! Excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Pulled off exit here because of traffic and good time to eat. We like to try new places when we road trip. It’s the New York equivalent to a luncheonette. Tons of breakfast choices, salads, soup of the day and many great lunch choices. Tables, booths and counter service just like a NY diner. Was a little leery when we walked in and it was mostly empty, but we learned it’s brand new. One month old. Apparently an up and coming chain in the area. Again, being from NY this was learn as we go. Bright, very clean, friendly & attentive staff and great food and very good prices! Our server Ashley was lovely. Best of luck I hope this location catches on. When traveling, definitely would eat at other locations.

The Farmhouse Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 228 N Gilbert Rd, Gilbert

I ask myself, what makes a breakfast stand out? Its all in their hot fresh crispy country or hash potatoes, oh, and of course the rest. This place has been one of our long time favorite for breakfast and they never disappoint. This quaint breakfast/lunch spot in Gilbert has kept its mark in the rapidly growing downtown revival. Seating is limited and usually has a small wait during prime time. Even though the wait is outside, there are benches and misters and cold water provided in the summer months. Their menu has a selection of 24 omelets and hearty breakfast or lunch options that you might expect at a ‘farmhouse’ bnb. Everything from the thick crispy bacon to their homemade chili are absolutely what you would expect. All breakfast are served with a toasted whole wheat french bread unless a choice specified. Their brewed coffee comes from their neighboring Bergie’s Coffee Roast which we love. Service always friendly and atmosphere suited to its name. If you like breakfast, give it a try.

Mr. Bagel meister the pointe Barclay – Menu with Prices – 1611 dusty miller lane the pointe barclay, Wilmington

This is a nice change from the “sub-lunch bunch”: sandwich made w a toasted bagel. The people running the business are friendly and seemed connected to the customers who came in while we were there. There were over a dozen choices of bagels like plain, salted, jalapeño, blueberry, egg, multigrain, poppy, maple bacon, etc. For lunch there were several choices of sandwiches made w Boar Heads meats and choice of tots (regular or sweet potato), fries or chips. They also have a variety of breakfast bagels. From toast w cream cheese (several flavors) to breakfast sandwiches. They also sell bagels by the 1/2 dozen or dozen.

Turkish Delight – Menu with Prices – 5680 Spring Garden Rd, Halifax

I had lamb main, appetizer, and Turkish coffee. I must say this was the tastiest and healthiest meal I have had so far in NS. Everything looked fresh including the lavash bread, which was amazing. The menu has diverse options including vegetarian ones. The portion was much bigger than I expected, and lamb meat is probably one of the most healthiest red meat option in the province. Prices are low for the portions you get. How can they even make profit with that size of portion served? The place has nice ambience, and very pleasing low volume classical music, it is clean and customer service was excellent with smiles. Five stars… *****

crepes &chimney Cake Factory – Menu with Prices – 17 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

Was craving a quick bite of something crispy and cheesy for breakfast. This little stand in Beach Place did not disappoint. The lady was so sweet and friendly. I ordered the classic grilled cheese. I sat down to relax at the cute little tables in the center of this shopping area. A few minutes later she brought over a freshly pressed hot crunchy grilled cheese sandwich with a pickle on the side. Absolute deliciousness and super cheap. Highly recommend

Amoré Coffee Menu with Prices 2201 140th Ave NE, Bellevue

The best little coffee stand in Bellevue. I’ve been coming to this location on and off for over 5 years now and all of the baristas are so nice and make awesome coffee! I’m a total Seattle coffee snob and they never make me feel guilty for my 7-adjective drink orders the way places like Starbucks (who turned me into a snob to begin with) always does. Plus they give you a chocolate covered espresso bean for that extra jolt! They have really tasty menu items if you need a quick breakfast, I recommend the Chili Relleno breakfast burrito or quiche. They’re made locally with less fillers and taste fresh compared to other fast options. Tons of other healthier options like oatmeal, protein packed bars and such. The owner is one of the sweetest women ever and always remembers your order (even when you have two or more favorite drinks!). One day I thought I forgot my wallet and she was going to let me pay the next visit because she knows I am a regular–my wallet ended up being on the floor of my car but her willingness to keep me caffeinated was above and beyond any customer service experiences I have ever had. Just be sure to leave a bit early because this is a super popular stop and I tend to go straight to work if there are more than four cars because they also take walk-ups and have a drive through option with an App service that I have yet to download. Thanks for always making my mornings better ladies!! **They have a daily special and a rewards card! Every flavor imaginable is available and any type of milk alternative you could ask for.** =)

Southern Eats Menu with Prices 6407 S Cooper St, Arlington

Lack of communication between kitchen & staff Quick and friendly service Good drinks (Southern Mai Tai was delicious) FOOD HAD NO FLAVOR More than likely we will NOT be back. Check in so you can use the 10% off coupon. Went there Sunday after church for the breakfast/ brunch option. When we walked in, it was clean, open, cool looking bar, white chairs with nice tables, great music playlist at the right volume, and very friendly staff. When we sat down and looked at the menu the first thing my dad said was “there are offering too much for a small place”. We were told by our waitress that we couldnt order any breakfast options because of the time. It was like 11:40 ish. But we heard a women behind us order off the breakfast menu, then we asked another waiter and he said they were still doing breakfast. Once we started to order with our waitress she reminded us that breakfast was not being served. So we put in our orders, some things were discontinued but they were still on the list or that they ran out of items. The wait wasn’t too bad. Like I said the music was good. Food comes out, its hot and looks good on the plate but………….. there was NO FLAVOR. No amount of salt helped out the collard greens, chicken (wings for the chicken & waffles & the tenders in sweet & spicy sauce) had a crunch and was tender but no flavor. Mac & cheese was eh…, pancakes & waffles were fluffy but no flavor, fried pork chops were good but no flavor, the breakfast potatoes and corned hash were crunchy but no flavor. Paid $75 for 4 people with one alcoholic drink and 3 soft drinks. And we left upset at that price for something we could have made better at home. Unfortunately we will probably not come back for the food but maybe, maybe, maybe….for the drinks during the “lounge – like” events they seem to offer.

Dogfish Head AleHouse – Menu with Prices – 13041 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy, Fairfax

I’ve always been a fan of the dogfish head beers and now I’m quite a fan of the restaurant too. Our party of 3 came on a Saturday night for a serious foodie pig out. We arrived around peak dinner time; the space was really packed but luckily we still got a table right away. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which made our selection process so much easier. The 3 of us ordered 3 appetizers (yes we were hungry): – Fried shrimp (forgot the actual name): The shrimps were very large and juicy so 100 points for that. The batter wasn’t too thick and the sauce was flavorful yet not crazy overwhelming. it was probably our favorite appetizer. – Cheese Crab Dip: Personally not a huge fan simply cuz dipping deep fried chips in heavy cheese dips is a little too much for me, but my friends loved it so I’ll leave that there. – Chili Nachos: We only got the half order, but the portion was as big as the full sized nachos at most other places! Overall it’s your classic American nacho dish~ As for entree I got the Jambalaya. Was a little skeptical to pay $18 for it, but in the end, for fair comparison, it beats the Cheesecake Factory Jambalaya. Again, very large and juicy shrimps. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy as well. Mixing them into the pasta, it was a real party in my mouth. The hint of chili pepper just kept encouraging me to keep having more. Can’t say what we ordered was the healthiest meal for everyday gorging, but if you want some good beer, tasty bar food, and a casual spot to cheer on your sports teams, this is your place and it would not disappoint!

babas on cannon – Menu with Prices – 11 Cannon St, Charleston

I’ve been into Babas on multiple morning occasions and one evening affair. At any time of day, it’s got a Euro sort of vibe going on. Not pretentious, which I appreciate. Mornings, it’s chill but energetic enough to make you feel like you’re out doing something (I work from home and need to go “do something” regularly). I like the coffee drinks pretty well. I had a breakfast taco once, and while it was only $3, it was really small and not very flavorful. I make breakfast tacos on the reg so that was kind of disappointing. Which brings me to my evening experience – the plates are tasty but so preciously tiny. They give a new meaning to “small plates”. You’ll spend a pretty penny if you want to walk out of there feeling satiated. The cocktails and wine are tasty, and about what you’d expect as soon as you see the joint. Yep, judging by its cover will serve you well here. Overall, I think this is a welcome addition to the Upper K scene, happy to have it as a place to hunker down in the mornings.

Mercer University – Walter F. George School of Law – Menu with Prices – 1021 Georgia Ave, Macon

Mercer Law students are the usual patrons of the Side Bar as it is located in the law school student lounge. Ms. Karen is the best! She is happy to provide service with a smile and give students encouragement while facing tough finals and projects. She also remembers regulars’ orders, so service is quick in those early morning rushes. The coffee is Starbucks, which is nice. Unfortunately, they don’t take Starbucks gift cards or the app. The food is also good, especially the grilled cheese sandwiches. Lines can be kinda long in the mornings and around lunch, but that can be worked around. The Side Bar kept me going through 3 years of law school, so it’s a winner in my book!
