I’m glad I don’t live nearby here, I’d gain plenty of weight because the food is sooo good. Good friends that do live near here brought My wife and I and we loved it. Starting out they bring you warm pita and a spread that I have no idea what it is except that it was delicious. Our dinners came with a salad or soup- 3 of us chose the Greek salad, 1 chose the lentil soup. The portions were large so don’t over-order! However for an appetizer we couldn’t resist the grilled Octopus. I have to tell you I never had octopus that was so tender. I asked the waiter (Nick) what it was marinated in and he said it is boiled in wine and capers. Fantastic! Btw, when you visit ask for Nick to be your server. He is kind, courteous, attentive and professional! We really had a tough time deciding what to order for a main, ogling everybody else’s dinners didn’t make it any easier. The menu is pretty extensive and our friends that are regulars here assured us that there were no bad choices. I went with the lamb shank over orzo (delicious!), Wy wife went with shrimp over orzo, and both our friends went with the lamb chop lollipops. Everyone was totally satisfied. The food was delicious and fresh. We also really enjoyed the specialty cocktails (I found the watermelon rush- ouzo over crushed watermelon- a great pairing with the lamb) and my wife LOVED the cucumber mint martini. So needless to say, I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return. If this review was beneficial to you throw me a compliment or vote and make my day! Bon Appetito!

The Salad Station – Menu with Prices – 13811 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa

Why 5 stars? Because it’s about as good as it gets with salad. — — — Yes, this can be some expensive salad. No, this is not your grandmother’s salad. My wife and I’s tab ended up at $42, which seems pretty excessive, but I had my salad bowl piled so high that it almost felt illegal. And this bowl was not 2.5 lbs of romaine lettuce – it was actually quite weighed down by the good stuff that I was shoveling in there. Plus, we also both added a soup and soda to our order, so the salad’s themselves were only a portion of the cost. Here’s what I liked about Salad Station when you compare it to a place like Sweet Tomatoes – the cleanliness. Granted, this location only opened about a week before I visited, so you’d hope it would be pretty spotless, but it felt so clean that I wondered how it was even possible. As I’m sure is the case for every person that comes here, I spilled a few things as I was attempting to transfer them into my bowl. I get the vibe that they do their best to discretely go behind every customer and clean as if that person never accidentally spilled 3 cucumbers into the tomato bowl and a couple olives on the ground. My only gripe is that the loaded potato soup was pretty bland. It’s not normally a soup that I’d order, but the description sold me. However, I wish I would have opted for the broccoli and cheese because I wasn’t a fan. The natural watermelon juice was delicious enough to make up for the soup mishap, though. I was going to just get a soda, but that watermelon stuff was too perfect – a hint of sweetness, but not too sweet. And the salad? It wasn’t even really a “salad” after I was done with my excessive additions, but I ate nearly every bite to the bottom of the bowl. If Salad Station were closer to my house, I would definitely be here on a regular basis!

Border Grill Fresh-Mex – Menu with Prices – 5695 Vineland Rd Suite A, Orlando

Let me start by saying that this will be my new favorite spot even though I live 38 minutes away! I was in the area dropping some friends off at universal when I decided to go on my maps and see what was around for a quick bite. I quickly saw this restaurant and saw that they had chicken soup on the menu and that drew me in. Once there I saw that it wasn’t the most appealing looking place but I don’t really care about appearance that much. The service was EXCELLENT the food was delicious! I had a watermelon agua Fresca which tasted amazing, a bowl of chicken soup, and 3 al pastor tacos which I had to prefer since the smell in that place was amazing! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture of the tacos because I couldn’t wait to dig in but the soup was delicious I recommend for everyone to try it out Updating 10/26/19 I now live 1 hr 9 minutes away from this place (it’s close to my job) and i continue to go! The staff by now knows me somewhat well and they are always sweet and kind! The place continues to be packed because us locals know it’s pretty good!

Grover’s Fingers & Wings – Menu with Prices – 9418 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

So we just came to Grovers for lunch. We have always enjoyed the food until today. While eating a chicken finger I found a long black hair in my food. .which is now in my mouth! I took it up to the counter on my plate and was offered another plate! Nothing else was done. When I asked to speak to the manager, a man told me he wasnt really the manager but what could he do to help. I explained the situation and he said he was sorry but didnt his wife ask if she could cook me something else. No she did not but sorry if I dont feel like eating anything else now, as I am sick to my stomach from having someone elses hair in my mouth! He said well you seem hostile and I said yes because I paid $30 for food I couldn’t eat. He said I don’t know what to do, this has only happened like 2 times before. I told him a partial refund or a voucher for future use. He said I would love to buy you dinner but I don’r have any cards or anything to give you. So basically I have to take his word that IF I go back I MIGHT get my dinner replaced. (He could’ve written it on a freaking napkin!) I wish I had paid with my credit card because I would’ve disputed the charge! I even said you can look at the camera and see me pull it out of mouth and he said they don’t really work! Good thing there are plenty of other places to eat. They are good but if this is how they deal with sanitary issues…nope I would rather not take the chance!

Nick’s Italian Restaurant Menu with Prices 2285 140th Ave NE, Bellevue

My fiancé and I tried Nick’s last night on a whim. I was very surprised by some of the other reviews on here because they did not match our experience at all. I rarely write reviews but felt they definitely deserved a good one. Nick’s is a little hole in the wall, mom and pop type restaurant. We went in on a Saturday night and there was no wait. Our waitress (I’m guessing she was Pam?!) was friendly, welcoming, and personable to the extent that you might wish she was your grandma. She checked on us often and made sure our food was great. We both ordered the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. It reminded me of a home-cooked meal. We ordered the clams and cheesy bread as well. Both were amazing! If you’re looking for a boujee place in Bellevue to socialize with your friends or get dressed up for, this is definitely not it. If you’re looking for a cute little place to frequent for casual dinners, you’ve found it!

Tavern United Polo Park – Menu with Prices – 1405 St Matthews Ave, Winnipeg

The place was empty on a Friday night. Went with about 10 friends and there was only 2 other tables of two. We order drinks and it takes about 20 minutes to get them. We all order food. My wife and I didnt get our food until 45 minutes after everyone else got theirs. They finally got back to us and said some how our order didnt get processed ( they forgot) they gave my wife a bowl of chips and said we are putting your order in right now. It should be out soon. Meanwhile our whole party is finished eating so. We get our bill at the end of the evening and no comp no discount… nothing. My wife kindly mentioned our wait and if we could get compensation. They gave us a measly 7$ off our 90$ bill. With tip it still came out at 95$ I shouldnt have tipped but it comes as a habit when I go out. But the service was sub par and the serving size was terrible. If I’m paying extra for onion rings I expect more than 6. Would it recommend this location. My home location in Windsor park is 5/5 high recommended by me.

Sugar Cubed – Menu with Prices – 531 13th St W, Bradenton

Not really impressed. Wanted a treat at work so was surprised they had a delivery option. Chose it and placed order. Ordering was very confusing. They need to improve if going to continue. I wanted an assortment of cookies and they had a box option and discounted if bought by dozen. It would not however let me choose the cookies so i opted for an assortment. I only got 3 different flavors even though the menu showed more. It also doesnt state that certain cookies are not discounted. Example the macarons. Had i known they dont consider these a cookie and therefore dont qualify for the cookie box that discounts the price. And website stated that discounts were available if a dozen ordered. I found this out through an email stating they were charging my card an extra amount. Had website been more specific i would have changed my order. Also tjought cookies were very greasy and extremely heavy tasting and a bit dry. The grease soaked through the box. Didnt really expect that. Overall not much flavor and didnt expect the white chocolate macadamia nut ones to have coconut. It should be part of description. Overall experience was disappointing and wont be back. If you continue to offer online order please take a closer look at it it needs a lot of improvements

Nectar Coffee and Wine Bistro Menu with Prices 106 Hume Ave, Alexandria

I ate here with my mom and son on a Friday afternoon. I was quite surprised by how crowded it was for a weekday! Logistics: there is a parking lot off to the side of the building. Order at the counter, get a number, food is brought out to your table. Breakfast (or at least waffles) are served all day. In fact, I saw a table tent advertising a daily special of a waffle + a mimosa or Bloody Mary for $15. If you are in a lunch mood there are a variety of sandwiches and salads. All sandwiches come with either chips (just a bagged variety) or a salad. There are also options for 1/2 salad and soup but no 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich. They should change that! On this topic, they should also change their hours. Only being open until 5pm has made it hard to get here which is why it took me so long to finally visit. I had their chicken salad at the taste of Del Ray so I recommended that my mom try that. She chose wheat bread and a salad. The portion was large and my mom loved it! She said it was one of the best chicken salad sandwiches she’s had! It had grapes, apples, cranberries, and celery from my memory. The bread was delicious too- seeded on the outside with a thick crust. I chose the fig and prosciutto sandwich. I should have chosen wheat but chose white bread. I loved the salty and sweet combination! We both agreed the dressing for the salads, which was basically just olive oil wasn’t great. We both had iced tea unsweetened which was given to us by the cashier. Not sure if there were free refills or not. The inside decor is cute and they have a patio albeit small as well. And they have high chairs! I enjoyed my lunch and would definitely return!

Bistro Nomad – Menu with Prices – 1430 Locust St, Des Moines

This place has a perfect spot with a perfect view of the Sculpture Park and with it’s huge windows, it’s perfect to do a little people watching safe inside the restaurant. They have the perfect decor and live music playing so that definitely zhoosh it up a little. The drinks we ordered came out just perfect and not greedy with the alcohol and our waitress greeted right as we sat down. We ordered a few appetizers, Fries with Aioli sauce and some Hummus. I’ll say this… the fries were on the “To Share” section of the menu and let’s be real they definitely weren’t. I could probably get 2 orders and still wouldn’t be enough for me. I won’t knock off any points as I think the aioli was great but come on… a little more on the plate would be nice too. If you love mediterranean you’ll love this place. I got the Tomato Roasted Cod and it was perfectly tomato-y. Of course I’m that guy at our table who has to taste all my friends’ food so going around I think the Salmon is where it’s at. It was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. Also the marinated leg of lamb was something I really enjoyed and almost had food envy, not that my food was not great but that lamb was juicy. Next time I come back, I really want to try to the octopus. Don’t mean to brag but I’ve been to Greece and that’s pretty much all I ate when I was there so I have pretty high standards for it. I say this place is nice to even just go for drinks and live music. I don’t know if they actually have a live band every night but I’ve been there twice and they did those two nights.

Indah Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1332 Main St, Columbia

I thoroughly enjoy coffee. But I don’t always understand the verbiage as to what describes a blend or concept. I walked in today and was greeted by Nick. Nick took the time to explain the differences between his coffee varieties and why I should try a pour over (he even gave me a sample). I started with the pour over that just filled the room with an awesome aroma. Nick noticed the coffee was hot and my hesitance to immediately indulge, so he made for some great small talk of the great places the area had to offer. The pour over was wonderful and I left with a second cup of cold brew (which was delightful as well). You can tell this place will be around for a while because nick is so well connected with the community. I’ll surely be back to Nick’s welcoming coffee shop.

Kurt’s Euro Bistro – Menu with Prices – 3305 Peachtree Industrial Blvd #100, Duluth

Made reservations here for 7:00 PM dinner with my wife. Arrived promptly at 7 and was seated immediately at a table for 2 right nest to two other ‘table for 2’. Wife ordered sweet tea and I just had water. Was interesting they brought a ‘Peak’ Iced Tea in a bottle to the table; guess they don’t make iced tea themselves. We ordered a House Salad to share first; the endive was quite sour tasting or maybe bitter is a better description, but the dressing was a vinegar based and was very good. My wife ordered the Jagger Schnitzel and I ordered the Sauerbraten for a different meal. We had just finished our salad and another server brought our two dinners and placed it at our table. This was not the waitress that had taken the order. My wife started to eat hers but a few minutes later the regular waitress came, indicated that the dinners were for the table next to us and she promptly picked up my dinner that I hadn’t touched yet. My wife said she had already taken a bite of hers and indicated she wasn’t going to eat without my dinner being there too; so she hesitantly put my plate back down. I think the couple at the next table were just as shocked at what just happened as we were. What were the chances we both ordered the same dinners? And then to want to remove ours and give them to the next table? Have you been to waitressing school to know you don’t give someone else’s food to another? The food was good; we had recently eaten German food at two other places so this compared. Was a bit more expensive at this restaurant and prepared slightly differently. The Sauerbraten was very good. We finished most of what we had; my wife asked the waitress where the red cabbage was with her Jagger Schnitzel and the waitress indicated it did not come with red cabbage; which we found surprising. At $26 you think they would spare red cabbage on it too just like other German restaurants. We ordered an apple struetel to go and we ate it at home. This struetel was exceptional; the best we had of 3 different German restaurants.Overall a good dinner but a bit of a shock at the dinner mix-ups.

Egg N’ Joe (SanTan Village) – Menu with Prices – 3131 S Market St #101, Gilbert

People sure do love their breakfasts! We were on the way to the airport, and since we had plenty of time. We decided to stop for a quick bite, instead of potentially suffering through the drudgery of airport food. We surmised that since we were all the way in the suburbs, the lines couldn’t possibly be that long – right? Boy, were we wrong! It was a 30-minute wait, which wound up being approximately 40 minutes by the time we were seated. Nonetheless, it was worth the wait. Nick, our server was prompt and efficient. I love efficiency. I’m not one for chitchat when I’ve been waiting for food for quite some time. And he picked up on that very quickly, with a smile. I wanted to try one of their specialties, which was the German Pancake. I ordered it as a combo. I chose scrambled eggs, Honey Bacon, and a pair of sausages. My wife ordered the traditional pancake combo, with scrambled eggs and Honey Bacon. The German Pancake (aka Dutch Baby Pancake) is basically a crepe, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Lemons are added to add some zest to the taste. It was quite delicious. And there was so much of it that I just could not muster the appetite to finish it all. My wife and I agreed that the scrambled eggs were just okay. The same could be said for their sausages. However, their Honey Bacon was quite thick and crispy. We both wished that we had ordered more of it, and just skipped the eggs and my sausages. My wife’s pancakes were quite fluffy and had wonderfully crispy edges to them. I can see now why the locals flocked to this establishment. They have a great combination of great breakfast foods (for the most part), and wonderful service. Nick really did a good job of checking in with us, despite the throngs of people continually piling in during that morning. Although, we don’t live near the area. We would stop by again, should we wander along this merry path!

The Santaluz Club – Menu with Prices – 8170 Caminito Santaluz E, San Diego

I feel incredibly lucky to live in such an amazing community, and be a member of the fabulous Santaluz Club. The food at the club is truly delicious and interesting, and the menu is always changing. The staff couldnâ??t be better. Attentive, kind, and thoughtful are the words that come to mind. So many activities to choose from….beyond fine dining, they have cooking lessons, literary luncheons, wine enrichment programs, live music once a week, special wine dinners, weekly wine tastings, and special dinners and brunches for all the holidays.
