If your looking to have a good time with your kids DONT GO HERE! I am so disappointed with this place. Im from B.R. and I went home last weekend to keep my nieces. We planned to go bowling with a group of friends, we paid the deposit and had our lanes reserved for two hours. We get there and walk to our lanes and there is left over food, drinks, trash etc. at all four lanes we reserved. Large holes in the seats at the lanes and the first two lanes we start to play on the balls don’t return. It took 30 mins to get someone to come and fix it. They move us to another lane and the bumpers don’t work. We are bowling with ALL young kids we need bumpers that is the whole point. We then go to order food and drinks, yes I needed a DRANK after all the drama already starting within in the first 10 mins of our visit. The draft doesn’t work, the lemonade doesn’t work, there is a strawberry salad that two of us order 10 mins after we order our waitress comes back and says there are no strawberries. Why wasn’t this discussed a the morning meeting with the servers. We ordered bottle beer they only had one of he one that we ordered. ITS A SATURDAY, why aren’t you stocked for the weekend? You have a WHOLE bar and your draft is not working. Come on! I did speak to the manager Will who was great and tried to accommodate us but this is unacceptable. He even went to the store to grab strawberries but it was too late. He had nothing but excuses, we only have one person working, we only have one of this… It is the summertime. You know you will have kids bowling and playing games. Fix the lanes, clean up your lanes, have the items listed on your menu. This place has so much potential, but my experience was very disappointing. B.R should be excited to have the new place open over by the mall. I know the next time I come home I will go there and will never spend my money at Quarters again. Mr. Temple and Family DO BETTER. Get this place in order. NO EXCUSES

Rock’n’Bowl® de Lafayette – Menu with Prices – 905 Jefferson St, Lafayette

TL;DR Horrible experience. We will not be back. NOT KID FRIENDLY. No overhead scores, poor lighting, poor service. All of our family was in from out of town. We called and made a reservation for 2 lanes for 2 hours. When we arrived, they had lost the reservation. They could accommodate 2 lanes for 1 hour. They didn’t accept our counter of 3 lanes for 1 hour though there were visibly empty lanes. One of the lanes wouldn’t even work for the first 8 minutes of our set. We had to go get someone to reset it. We had 11, 9 and 7 year old with us. We asked for the bumpers. Turns out NONE of the bumpers work per the worker (or so they said. GUESS WHAT?!? they miraculously worked for the people after us). They only have one of the kid friendly bowling ramps and it was being used. Also, midway through the game they had to move one of our lanes because the lane was malfunctioning. Later, when it worked again they inserted random people between us (so much for family bonding). Because of all the shenanigans with the lanes, and trying to get the bumpers we didn’t even get through one game and the lane cut off. No option to extend our time (like I have encountered at similarly price structured alleys). They did give the one group from the malfunctioning lane an extra 20 minutes (only after we asked, it was not offered). It was great the rest of the group just awkwardly stood around. I bowl about 2X per month and was excited to try this place but it was a miserable disappointment. No overhead scores, poor lighting, poor service.

Main Event Katy – Menu with Prices – 24401 Katy Fwy, Katy

I will give them a zero star if I could. We had a birthday party yesterday and it was the worst party experiences that I ever had. We booked their Extreme Package with bowling and laser tag for 22 kids, and on the contract it clearly stated that $5 FunCard will be given to each kid. When I signed the contract I was told for kids that are less than 48 inch tall who cannot play laser tag will be given a $10 FunCard, I asked them to add it on the contract but was told that every party coordinator know that rule. On the day of the party, we then told that instead of $5 Fun Cards, kids will be given amount of time for the arcade, and since everyone will be staying together kids that are not going to laser tag will not be given $10 Fun Card. I feel not comfortable as I was not given what was stated on the contract. What made me very angry was, there are 6 younger siblings that was also at the party, they were too young to play bowling or laser tag. I told the party coordinator that there will be 22 kids for the extreme package, I will be purchasing 2 $5 Fun card for the 2 younger siblings and we will purchase drinks for all 6. The party coordinator ask for the name for all 28 kids, I told them the 6 younger sibling will only be eating but not doing any of the activities and they said they still need the name. At the end, all 28 kids were charged for the EXTREME Package, and of course the $10 game card too. I don’t understand, 6 kids didn’t played bowling nor laser tag nor getting arcade card but they got charged for the whole package. For just drink and pizza? That must be a very expensive pizza! Not to mentioned I purchased additional two pizza and nachos for everyone. If they are charging the party package they should let me know ahead of time, so we can at least let them play bowling. We are only given 5 lanes for 22 kids to play bowling, if they are charging us for 28 kids then we should be getting more than 5 bowling lanes correct? And all 6 kids should be getting $10 FunCard for not playing laser tag correct? Nope, they are not given anything but pizza and drink. Our party coordinator are not taken a good care of us, the arcade card they gave us after the laser tag were not working, only some of the kids that stood out got a replacement cards, kids that were shy were walking around with a card not were not working and left the party disappointed. It was the worst party that I’ve ever hosted and I felt so bad for my guest. I will never host another party here ever again!

Kelley’s North Bowl – Menu with Prices – 8701 N 30th St, Omaha

This place is your classic bowling alley from your youth (you know that 70’s/80’s vibe) with the early 90’s ‘Cosmic Bowling’ upgrades. While it may be a little dingy, it has all of your bases covered. Full bar with ‘bar food’ and a probably a couple old men drinking, check. 70’s and 80’s rock playing overhead, check. And in case you forgot your shoes, ball and cool wrist brace, they have you covered. Classic rental bowling shoes freshly sprayed down with sanitizer, and a wide variety of balls to see if your fingers fit! The lanes do have gutter guards for the kids as well. All in all, this place isn’t that bad if you want to go with friends or family for an hour or so and have some cheap fun. There are a lot of lanes, and it usually isn’t busy. Grab a bucket of beer, and when the kids get bored, give them some quarters to go play some of their video games.

Western Bowl – Menu with Prices – 6383 Glenway Ave, Cincinnati

Do not recommend this place. We were harassed for over 30 min. With kids and adults walking through out lanes. When we finally said something the adults walked over to our lanes and just stood there blocking the lanes. We asked the general manager to ask them to stop he said he could movers to the other side of them. As if that would have stopped them. They got in our face and threatened us if we kept bowling while they were standing there. Review you cameras and watch how many times they did this and how they confronted us. You did nothing to resolve the problem. All you had to do was ask them to stop standing in our lane as we went to your counter and informed you twice what was going on. The other person working told us he even told you what was going on as he saw them at one point. Please tell me what you were afraid of.

The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley – Menu with Prices – 2929 Allied St, Green Bay

This is probably the go-to bowling alley in Green Bay. It’s absolutely huge as I think there’s about 50 lanes. It’s good for bowling leagues, and also special events. I’ve been here for fundraising events and they can accommodate a lot of people. There’s a bar so you can order drinks, and food. The food is nothing spectacular…basically bar food, but it gets the job done. Either way your fingers are going to get oily and greasy from either the food or bowling balls. My only complaint is the cleanliness. One, it’s sad that people are just pigs and leave a huge mess. Two, I saw the staff clean up the are are around two lanes, but didn’t even touch the lane next over. Just inconsistency with cleaning from your part-time high-school staff. Still that doesn’t stop me from wanting to throw some gutter balls…I mean strikes.

HI and DRY Bowling & Beer – Menu with Prices – 3634, 2221 Professor Ave, Cleveland

SUCH a fun bar! My husband and I walked past Hi and Dry on a weekend night and it was completely packed and people were playing mini bowling and having fun. We were quite jealous because it looked like a total blast but didn’t want to wait our turn so instead we came back on a week night before the rush hit. When we arrived around 7 or 8 pm, we were able to get a min-bowing lane immediately. This is exactly what it sounds like-the lanes are short, and the pins and balls are small. Although the bartender was pretty inattentive and almost seemed annoyed that we were there, we had a great time there enjoying a few drinks and bowling. We were laughing and having the best time just playing.

Brown Deer Lanes – Menu with Prices – 4715 W Bradley Rd, Milwaukee

Been coming here for years and didnt have a problem until last night . WORSE service EVER!!! And they were playing favoritism! We expected a wait coming around 8 but we literally sat 30 mins and watched 5 lanes just stay open and down the entire time. When asked about them they became annoyed and lied to us saying they were busy when we clearly had been watching them and they were associating with one another standing against the wall doing NOTHING mind u this wasnt the first attempt walking up , my fiance went up too! Finally two white men who came in 20 mins after us got a beer and the yall guy with glasses says oh i have a lane for u… talking to the white guys . I just felt it was very unorganized and they were being selective with who gets what lane and what also mind u these two lanes they gave to the white men were open when we got there, there were about 7 young boys just sitting there but there game was over when we walked in. .they sat there a good 15-18 mins then moved from the lanes and left…. those lanes were left open the entire time amongst 3 others just horrible horrible service we left I WILL NOT give my money to a business that’s so rude and bs u

Gladstone Bowl – Menu with Prices – 300 NW 72nd St, Kansas City

Went here with my 5 year-old daughter a few days after Christmas & had a great time. This is really old school bowling as good as it gets. Old TV screens with the 3 pointy arrows denoting who’s turn it is, fugly-ass Velcro bowling shoes, greasy food & huge sodas in Styrofoam cups. (Also booze if that’s your jam). The guy at the front was super nice & helpful. I had some questions about how to get set up with my little one & he was happy to help & guided us to a very sweet older man who pulled up our bumpers & brought us our balls (chuckles). They keep the light balls in the back so the “damn teenagers don’t just come in & fling ’em down the lanes”. Damn teenagers. Let’s be clear, the light ball was for my kindergartner. Mine came in at a whopping 2lbs heavier. The ladies at the snack bar/bar were very nice. I just wanted a light snack & I always ask for recommendations. She said beer-battered fries are greater than tater tots which are greater than regular fries. (Yelp doesn’t allow the “greater than/less than” symbols?). So…we got the beer battered fries with a huge Sprite in a Styrofoam cup & a side of ranch. Thumbs up. The clientele (while not within the bowling alley’s control) were also very friendly & we had fun all bowling together. Just gives you an idea of the crowd the place draws. The sweet older gentleman was always walking around making sure things were going smoothly & helping folks find their balls (another chuckle). I live literally one block from Main Event where I once spent over $30 for one hour of bowling & my little one was bored after about 15 minutes. We spent less than $30 here for 2 hours of bowling, shoes, snacks & drinks & she had more fun (old school like her mama, SCORE!). The ONLY thing they could do better to earn my last star, is play music or the radio or something. Some random lane that nobody was on kept buzzing because of a foot fault (that might be tennis) or something & that was annoying. Some tunes would’ve drowned that out & entertained everyone a bit more. But, all in all, we had fun & will be back. Thanks for keeping it old school, Gladstone Bowl.

Temecula Lanes – Menu with Prices – 27475 Jefferson Ave, Temecula

This is my first time visiting/ bowling/ arranging a party with Temecula Lanes, and the following is my experience.  I contacted the bowling alley on a weekend to make arrangements for a party a few weeks in advance.  I was given a toll free number for the Events line, and advised to call them to make party arrangements. They are only open 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday;  I contacted the toll-free number and after some back and forth was able to connect with event planner Nancy Lee by e-mail, which may communicating much easier.  Nancy was helpful in providing a pdf document explaining what packages could be ordered, what was included, what was extra, etc.  Everything was booked for a 2 hour party on August 25th for 10 people to bowl, including the Finger Food package (with appetizers, salad, brownie desert and unlimited drinks), and additional Premium bar drink tokens for the adults in the group.  We arrived 15 minutes before 2pm, as requested, and checked in.  The gentleman at the counter was very nice, but I don’t recall his name.  He set us up on different lanes – stating that lanes 19 and 20 had time restrictions and that by moving us to lanes 1 and 2 there wouldn’t be a time restriction to use sitting area in the lanes (not necessary, but it was his choice, so we went with it).  At 2pm we started bowling and put in our drink requests (drinks only come out by the pitcher, there is no place to refill drinks or provide various choices for each person).  We were advised food would be out at about 2:30pm. Someone from the back came up and advised our party that the “apples didn’t look good” for the cranberry-apple salad ordered, and asked if we wanted to change our salad selection (the only other selection was Cesar).  We asked that they do the best possible, and bring the salad requested.  At about 2:40pm the gentleman from the front came by with our drink pitchers and advised that the food should be out soon.  When the food arrive it was luke warm; the chicken tenders were mostly breading, the hot wings came with the sauce on the side, and the food was piled on to three trays without much order so one had to dig to see the various options on the bottom.  The salad came out in a large metal bowl; however, there was no serving utensils and no dressing. There was no one providing service, so our party had to go to the bar to order drinks.  We also had to be responsible for asking for refills on the “unlimited” soft drinks with our party package – we only received 1 refill on the soda pitchers. The brownie dessert was never brought out and after the food was delivered there was no one that checked on our party to ensure everything was okay, or if anything else was needed.  To our party it appeared they were too short-staffed to be hosting any event.   At 3:45pm we had bowled two games, and decided to rent pool balls. We paid the fee to rent the pool balls and move from the bowling lanes to the pool area. By 4:00pm the lanes busy, and the gentleman that had been helping us at the front desk was no where to be located (two new people were at the front desk).   Next time I will not purchase any type of party package (this package was +$400.00), and will look for specials or discounted lane rates for bowling. I feel the package provided an expectation that our party would be taken care of or looked after; which was not the case. At this time I am considering the event a waste of money for the “services” provided and am thankful no tip was included.

Bowlero Pasadena – Menu with Prices – 3545 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena

I bought a groupon online so myself and my boyfriend decided to go on a Saturday afternoon to get our bowling on. It’s a nice place, though I think the Arcadia one is much nicer (bigger arcade, nicer bar, 2x as many lanes). Anyways, we were assigned a lane and wanted to get some drinks and food but our server never came. So, we decided to just start bowling and order whenever our server came. We bowled for 45 minutes without ever even seeing a server come our way. When we were on our 3rd game, I decided to ask an employee near the front desk about ordering some food. He said he would tell our server. Another 15 minutes went by and no one to take our order. The server for the group across from us was closing out the bill for them and I asked her if we could order something. She said she’s not our server and would tell the server assigned to our lane to come. Since we were waiting so long, she said she’d take our order and tell our server to put it in. She asked for our credit card to put in their system. After OVER an hour, our “server,” Matthew, finally came. We didn’t want to order beers at that point so just decided to get Nachos (2/5 for taste). He gave us back our credit card. When we were finished with our bowling, he gave us the bill and asked for our card AGAIN. Didn’t we just give it to them? He said the original time was to just put it on “file.” I don’t get that.Anyways, long story short, we’re not coming back. Horrible service, mediocre bowling. bowlero is supposed to be a higher end bowling alley but I didn’t get that impression. I’d rather just go to AMF bowling.

Flamingo Bowl – Menu with Prices – 3301 N 23rd St, McAllen

Wow what a horrible place! Based solely on bowling it would be about 3 stars, but the staff plus pricing makes it really bad. For starters, walking into the place it looks fairly modern and new-ishly renovated. The bowling lanes are nicer than usual and the bar/lounge in the alley is fairly nice. However, the staff can be fairly rude…especially the people working at the food counter. My guy and I ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches that cost almost $20 and when we asked for cups of water the staff rudely told us to pay an extra $4!! WHAT!!?? Then when we asked why we had to pay so much for cups of water when just paid $60 for food, drinks, and bowling they gave us a really rude response of basically take it or leave it. No regard or care for customers at all. We ended up playing one game and leaving. I felt really uncomfortable, like I was being ripped off the whole time. One game, plus grilled cheese sandwiches, plus a couple of beers cost 4 of us just over $80. Absolutely ridiculous! Will not be back!

Idido’s Coffee and Social House Menu with Prices 1107 S Walter Reed Dr Suite 102, Arlington

I would walk or drive by this place while it was under construction, praying and excited for when it would finally open. A place that doesn’t close as early as Rappahannock, and isn’t Starbucks! I’ve been very pleased since it opened. When you walk in, you feel like the location is paying respects to the Arlington area. There’s a really nice map on the wall. If the owners are there, they’re more than happy to chat with you and ask how your day is going. They are deliciously unique in their La Colombe draft offering. Seriously, I love picking up La Colombe cans at the store, but having a draft latte from Idido’s is magical. I’ve had their madeleines and some breakfast sandwiches while working there. Though not write home notable, they’re pretty good and satisfying with your beverage. I do wish there was more seating. I’ve come during day hours with no problems, but during weekends every seat can be taken up. I’ve come in hoping to do work and wound up having to go somewhere else to work. Also, depending on who’s working, they sometimes fill the draft latte such that there is SO MUCH FOAM. I’ll take my drink home, and by the time I’m home, the foam was calmed down and there’s really only 2/3 coffee in the cup.
