Pockets is one of a few billiards halls in El Paso. Not many decisions when your night or day plans involve having a few beers some bar food and shooting a few tables. Pockets in general but this location specifically is always clean, when itâ??s busy there is an off duty EPPO present. On this particular day we visited (Sunday, 17 Feb 19 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm) we went to the rear to start playing pool, four games later all I received was a waive from our attendant but nothing more. Free pool was a plus but went up the road for good and a drink. If your looking for work they should be hiring, one waiter ?

Casino Del Sol – Menu with Prices – 5655 W Valencia Rd, Tucson

I really hate to say that we will not be returning. My boyfriend and I came here for our one year anniversary… in fact, we are still here and writing this from our room. First off, my bf had called a week ahead and ordered strawberries and champagne for an extra $45 to be in our room to surprise me… got to room, no strawberries or champagne. Secondly, we come in from the pool and are wanting to peek into the casino from the lobby to see what games are offered (not go in, just look from the entrance). My bf walks over to the side of the lobby to put on his shirt (mind you, we had JUST walked in from the pool) before we go any further into the lobby, and a front desk worker walks over and smirkingly says “um you know there’s a bathroom RIGHT over there right?” (first time here, so no, we didn’t know). We told him sorry and went about our way. Third, I walked past at least 20-30 different machines that were out of service or broken. And lastly, we went to the casino… my boyfriend and I are 24. He has gambled a couple times and I have once. We sit at a black jack table and start playing with a dealer that is making it very obvious that she is annoyed with our lack of experience (gotta start somewhere right?). When I reach up to grab my chips, I accidentally spill 1/5 of someone’s drink on the table. The dealer yells “drink clean up” like it’s no big deal and a guy immediately comes over and starts cleaning the table. I pick up the drink and apologize over and over again, offering to clean it up myself, without any response from her. Ok I understand, probably super frustrating. Once we realize she has had enough of us, my bf puts his chips on the table and asks her to cash out whenever she gets a chance. She looks up and says “yeah well I have all this to deal with now so…”. I understood her frustration, but accidents happen… Pool staff was very kind and professional and the drinks were great, which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. We were really excited for this trip. Never again.

Backyard Tavern Menu with Prices 218 S Belair Rd, Augusta

This is a great hole in the wall type of bar. It’s a small place with 1 pool table, a balcony, and a yard with some games in it like corn hole. On Wednesday’s they do karaoke, which is always fun. I came here with my buddy who likes to do karaoke. Everyone in the bar was super friendly and welcoming. They have cans of PBR and other beers if you’re looking to drink on a budget. The place is a little hidden off of bel air road, next to a few stores. It’s a really good place to go if you and some friends are looking to just drink and relax a little bit.

Carlton Room Café – Menu with Prices – 1433 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

A quiet place to work and drink coffee in South Beach actually exists in this incognito coffee shop tucked into the rear side of the Betsy Hotel. Set up for working with some outlets along the wall and a variety of seating and table options for pounding out some work on your laptop, it’s relatively quiet or with some choice laid back soundtrack and occasionally a TV with news playing. Don’t tell Starbucks, they may get jealous there’s a better option that serves Panther Coffee!

Break & Run – Menu with Prices – 1555 Goshen Ave, Fort Wayne

This was stop #3 of a boys night out, and we were all pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a place. It was clean, well lit, people were very friendly and all games were FREE! The sign on the door suggested a one drink minimum, but I don’t think many people were having any problems with that. Beers were $2 or $2.50 if you got them in a bucket. Besides the over 30 pool tables, there were probably 20+ dart boards, 10 corn hole games, and at least 1 air hockey table. We stuck to pool, and found the table in good condition, and we even found some house sticks that were not warped and had somewhat decent tips on them. Chalk for the sticks was found easily. I am sure that some of the tables are more worn than others, but I didn’t see any glaring problems with anything. I guess what struck me the most was how busy it was on a Thursday night. Probably 2/3rds of the tables were in use, and maybe 75% of the dart boards were being used. No one was playing corn hole. Music streamed from the 1970’s and early 1980’s, loud enough to hear easily, but not too loud. Bar selection left a little to be desired, but technically it’s a pool hall, not a bar. My buddy owns a store just a few doors down from this place, and the funny thing is that he’s never stepped foot in here before. I think we will be back!

Slick Willies Family Pool Hall – Menu with Prices – 6808 Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City

I absolutely love playing pool and I can be pretty particular about the places I’ll go. This place was almost like a hidden gem for the area. It honestly doesn’t look like much from the outside and the parking lot needs work. But you’ll be pleasantly surprised once you get inside. Their tables are good to play on, the rails aren’t dead, the felt’s in good shape, I’ve never had to wait for a table here or been crowded or bothered while playing, and they keep it clean. Plenty of tables, plenty of space, acceptable prices and the person working the bar has always been very pleasant and friendly. In my experience, the other patrons have also always been good and lowkey. If you’re looking for a family pool hall in the area or just some place to go to shoot on a good table, relax and have a decent drink, this is a good choice.

Big Slick Bar & Billiards – Menu with Prices – 1965 Britannia Rd W, Mississauga

Surprisingly, I’m a fan. When a bud and I pulled up to this place, it was not anything I expected. In a small strip mall with an Indian grocery store as the anchor. Stepped inside, and find two regulars at the first table cut out of an episode of Duck Dynastry. Not sure how they can shoot when their beards hit the table. A small bar to the right and with balls in hand, walked over the tables. A collection of tables from classic wood with leather pockets to metal tables with plastic pockets. 8′ and 7′ tables were available. I took the 8′ and tried to find the best cloth to play on. The best one was taken. A couple of beers were ordered and finished. The server gal was not pushy at all – in fact, at most places I would have been three beers in and missing all my shots. Instead I got one beer, a glass of water, and won 6-3 when I usually lose 9-0. Very chill afternoon. Paid for time and beers and it was really quite affordable. Other pool places charge $18-$20 per hour. I didn’t even bothering asking here because pool + two pints came to $29. Cool! The only thing I can say is that the bar-gal should have her boyfriend stay home. I would have liked an extra drink and the house like to sell me some more. Unfortunately, between talking to her boyfriend (could be a random stranger – who knows) and making out in the parking lot, I went a bit parched. Empty Cheers.

1-Up Lounge Menu with Prices 1121 McKenzie Ave, Bellingham

This is a place for video game lovers. Super friendly owner. They have 2200 video games, all free to play when you order a glass of alcohol beverage. After the first game, $2 for the next game and so forth (if I remember correctly). If you don’t drink alcohol, $6 (or $5?) per hour to play a game. They have Nintendo, Wii, Sega Genesis, Xbox, Play Station, etc. If you want to play longer, you may want to ask for a 1-day pass. This may be a good place to check out some games you heard about, or try out games before you decide to purchase one. Or simply get together with friends just to have fun playing games. ã??ã??ã?ªã?²ã?¼ã? ã???????ã??ã???ã??å¬?ã?ã?ã?åº???æ?ã??ã?ã?? ã??ã??ã?ªã?²ã?¼ã? ?æ?°?2200ã????å ?ã?Xboxã?ã??ã?¬ã?¤ã?¹ã??ã?¼ã?·ã?§ã?³??ã?è?²ã???ã?²ã?¼ã? ã??å?ã??æ?ã??ã??ã?ã?? ã?¢ã?«ã?³ã?¼ã?«ã??ã?ªã?³ã?¯ã??ã?ªã?¼ã??ã?¼ã?ã???ã?å?ã??ã?²ã?¼ã? ?ç?¡æ??ã????ã?²ã?¼ã? ã?ã???ã?2ã??ã?«ã?ã?£ã?¼ã?¸?ã?ã?ã??ã??ã?¢ã?«ã?³ã?¼ã?«ã?????ã??å??ã?1æ??é??6ã??ã?«ï¼?5ã??ã?«ï¼?ï¼?ã??é?·æ??é??é??ã?ã??å???ã?1æ?¥ã??ã?¹??å?¥ã??è?ã???ã???ã??ã?ã?ã?ã??ã?? å???è?ã?ã?ã??ã??ã?ªã?²ã?¼ã? ã???ã???ã?ã??ã?ã???ã?²ã?¼ã? ã???å?¥ã?ã???ã????ã?ã??????ã?ã?ã??ã?²ã?¼ã? ã???ã???ã??ã??ã???ã?????ã???ã?ã?å?é??ä¸?ç·??ã?²ã?¼ã? ã??ã??é?????ã????ç«??å¯?ã???ã??ã?ã?ã?ã??ã??

2nd Avenue Corner Pocket – Menu with Prices – 609 2nd Ave SW, Cedar Rapids

Your average pool hall. Tables are $1 and the staff is pretty attentive, making sure you cup never runs dry. There is a league that plays pool here, so you may have to wait for a table if it’s during their playing time, but cozy up with a well made drink and it will be your time before you know it. Parking can be a challenge with the other bar that’s close by, but the tables are nice so I’d recommend giving Corner Pocket a try!

Upside Down Plaza Menu with Prices 2012 Magnolia Ave S, Birmingham

The upside down Plaza is basically a dive bar with a long history in Birmingham dating back to the 60s in its original location and the 80s in its current underground location. The owner has been the same since opening and the bartender (Kimbo) has been there almost as long. There are six or seven pool tables which make it easy to shoot pool without competing against other patrons for the tables. The clientele is diverse, the drink prices are reasonable and the staff is cool. Periodically they have free pool Fridays where the pool tables are open at no charge. There’s no food served but you can bring food in with you. The fun & friendly staff can be found at the bar watching Sports or the Big Bang Theory while patrons freely interrupt the casual atmosphere with their choice of music over the jukebox system which can be utilized at the jukebox or from your smartphone if you download the app. If you like a dive bar with a welcoming chill atmosphere then you’ll probably love this place. The only criticism I would give is their pool sticks leave a lot to be desired, so if you have your own, you might want to bring it. There’s also a water intrusion that was recently caused by construction at the hotel above causing the floor to be wet in the back corner near the rear pool table, which just happens to be my favorite spot =( …Hopefully that will get corrected soon.

The Cue Club – Menu with Prices – 140 Moore Dr, Lexington

Blessed are we, myself and my work bro’s and my other bro who’s actually the one with the pool skills, have been rewarded by the divine with this after work gathering, gaming, and imbibing establishment. After twenty years as a working stiff there is finally that place, the duh, no-brainer, right down the street, you read my mind, of course i’ll have beers with you and shoot a couple games of pool, so easy it’s silly not to, why don’t we go friday, sure, but we could go today, too, place. And everyone is friendly, and the place is so clean and new and nice it doesn’t feel like a pool hall, but I won’t hold it against the place. And there are gaming consoles and a digital jukebox, and happy hour, and televisions, and, and. So yeah, there’s cold beer and there’s plenty of tables upon which I will show off my tepid at best skills, and one of these days i’ll be just a little peckish and won’t have a dinner date later and will order some snacks, maybe some tacos. Yum, tacos.

Our Place Saloon – Menu with Prices – Suite 502 7651, SW State Rd 200, Ocala

Went for my 1st visit . Was going to play pool . I was checking out the pool tables . They have free pool on Sundays I assume because tables were open to be able to access the balls . Before I even touched any thing was just looking at that point bartender came over and said you can’t play pool for free and not drink . He returned to the bar area and started to tell others sitting at the bar about me not ordering a drink . How strange is that . I had every intention of buying a drink and was going to have lunch . I did not even know pool was free so I could have cared less about that. To have the bartender hassel you before you could even settle in was just to strange . I left seemed he was looking to cause a problem and I did not need that on a nice Sunday afternoon . I would not recommend this place to any one and will never return. If I could I would give it a Zero rating ..

La Dolce Vita Biscotti Inc – Menu with Prices – 10875 W Northview Ave, Glendale

I worked there one week thank god the ampm up the road was hiring because its slave labor for slave wages the biscotti is good though and decent work conditions just 16 hours on your feet each day and hardly anyone spoke English not that i have anything against speaking spanish but it was hard to communicate with other people which made my job a little more difficult because the person who trained me barely spoke English
