Really tasty Açaí bowls!! I loved stopping by after a beach trip to see the sunrise. The bowls are really huge and you definitely get your money’s worth. I think they’re the perfect size for sharing with someone. They have a ton of options on their menu, which I appreciated. I opted to get a Tide Bowl, which is originally a Banana Bowl but they allowed me to get Açaí as a base instead. Delicious and super refreshing!! The Goji Berries were a little bit overpowering after a while but I’ll just ask them for less next time I come. They have a really cool option to split your base and choose from two if you can’t decide. Perfect for indecisive people like me! You can choose half and half of any of the following bases: Açaí, Pitaya, Green, or Coconut. Additionally, for some bowls, you can switch out your base if you prefer a different one. Overall, a really cool ambiance and delicious, fresh bowls. I look forward to trying their smoothies next time I stop by!

Northside Shack – Point Loma – Menu with Prices – 1255 Rosecrans St, San Diego

The hype was real. Its really rare for a 5 star place to meet the expectations but this place SURPASSED my expectations. We were visiting San Diego for 3 days and had heard about this place from a youtuber. This was our first stop before anything else and we HAD to end our trip with another acai bowl. 2 bowls in 3 days, low key regrets that we couldn’t do 3! Get ready for a mountain of fresh fruits and dry toppings because they hook you up! You choose your base (acai, pitaya, oatmeal, OR 50/50 acai/pitaya if you cant decide like me) and all the toppings of your choice. We got a large bowl with the 50/50, all the toppings, and added peanut butter. Ooh, PB was so worth it. If you’re not alone, I would highly recommend sharing a large bowl, so much bang for the buck ($11 for a HUGE bowl). The smaller bowls actually still had a similar fruit amount, still such a good value. The bases were so thick which I loved because by the time we were finally done with the huge bowl, it was still a good consistency. Other places have more smoothie like consistency from the beginning so by the time you finish, its lukewarm and too liquidy, Northside Shack definitely thought it through! My personal tips would be to use the lid as the fruit holder so you can enjoy the acai without worrying about a fruit avalanche haha. AND if you’re not in a rush, go enjoy the acai bowl at the Sunset Cliffs! It’s pretty close and the view is the cherry on the top! The freshness of ingredients is unreal. Please try it for yourself!!! Northside Shack has forever ruined my appetite for any other acai bowl… fingers crossed theyll come to the east coast!

Flavor Juicery Menu with Prices 4620 Kimball Bridge Rd Suite 2, Alpharetta

Highly recommend! I stopped here after working out for the first time last week and got a smoothie while I got my hubby an acai bowl. My smoothie was delicious, and hubby loved the acai bowl. Today I was craving something agaib after my workout so swung by and this time tried a pitaya bowl which was AMAZING! I meant to take a photo but I mixed it up and ate it before thinking also got to meet Uday and he was so kind! I LOVE that they don’t add any sugar its just fruit for the base. Only thing I can think of for a critique is the ratio of base to toppings is about 80/20. I like to have toppings in every bite so I would recommend is doing a more 50% base to 50% toppings. Still ate it all though! Oh and people they are now offering gluten free bread! Not celiac safe, but if you have just a sensitivity its perfect! Will probably try a avo toast or sandwich next….

Impact Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 142 S Glassell St, Orange

Why has it taken me so long to find this place? I have been on an acai kick since I got back from Hawaii last winter and have been on a quest for something comparable. Ladies and gentleman – I think I may have found it. Impact is tucked away at Orange Circle and to be honest from the outside looking in, I automatically thought to myself that this could have been a bust – WRONG! Their menu was split into 4 categories – juices, bowls, smoothies and drinks. Obviously being a juice bar that was the first category on their menu – they had a bunch of pre-made combinations and then options to create your own concoction. Same with their bowls they had the regular bowls and then the fancier ones that had additional ingredients such as turmeric. I’m not too fancy so I just chose one of the regular bowls – the Amazing Bowl to be exact. To be honest they all sounded pretty amazing but this bowl had blended coconut cream and coconut milk powder (can you tell I like coconut?) and I was sold. They were also really cool about swapping out ingredients to make the perfect bowl – for example I favor pitaya over açaí and they made the switch no problem. My husband chose the nutty bowl and they switched out the milk for him too. Everything is blended fresh as you order so depending on the line there could be a wait – but honestly who cares? Also – the ingredients are organic and non-GMO. As I suspected my Amazing Bowl was aptly named – absolutely freaking amazing. The pitaya and coconut blended so well for a creamy and fruity taste that wasn’t overly sweet. I loved the layered coconut shreds and chia and granola, each bite had so many textures and subtle crunches. Love!! I honestly can’t wait to go back.

Birdie Bowl & Juicery – Menu with Prices – 3313 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa

Came here during my lunch with my coworkers and enjoyed every minute of it! Very refreshing and filling as well! Its a nice break from all the grease and fried food i was eating and i felt so healthy after eating it even though im def not LOL please give this place a try sometime if you love acai bowls! Pros: – Staff is very friendly here! She was really patient with me when I was ordering my food! her friend was the customer before me and they were talking for a while but i didnt mind and she kept apologizing to me for that so it was awesome of her for being aware of that but tbh, i didnt mind! – Theyre menu has everything for everyone! you can definitely find something here for you that youd like and you can also do add ons as well! I ordered the Pitaya colada but i subbed the pitaya for acai! i LOVE toasted coconuts in my acai bowls and cranola as well so this bowl was screaming my name! – When you pick up your order, they have extra toppings at the station too! They have agave, brown sugar and honey! I LOOOVE honey on my bowls so i kept coming back after eating each layer of my bowl. a lot of places don’t offer this but i appreciated that birdie has this for their customers! Mehs: – i wish my bowl was a little bit sweeter! maybe its because im the most unhealthiest person in the world but i got tired of my bowl after a while because it wasnt sweet enough! Cons: None

SoBol Lancaster – Menu with Prices – 210 Rohrerstown Rd, Lancaster

Welcome to Lancaster SoBol! The bowls are refreshing, filling and delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I got the Acai bowl and the Pitaya Bowl. Excellent presentation, great quality and worth every penny spent. I really liked the deconstructed option so I could save one for later. It may not be an everyday treat, but definitely a often one. Iâ??m thrilled theyâ??re open early so I can grab a bowl on my way to work and I absolutely love all the local options for coffee and kombucha. Well done, Sobol!

Main Squeeze Juice Co. – Menu with Prices – 3660 Veterans Blvd Suite C, Metairie

Coming from the East Coast of Florida, I’m used to an abundance of healthy juice shops with tasty açaí bowls. Proper bowls are one of the main things I miss since shops in Nola can’t seem to get them quite right. I saw Main Squeeze on IG and decided to stop by to grab a bowl for breakfast. The store was clean, looked and smelled great, but I didn’t care for my bowl. They have a few bowl options here (açaí and pitaya), but only one includes nut butter, a must in my book. The downside to that Açaí Nut Bowl is that it lacks toppings. Where most bowls come with multiple fruits on top, it only includes banana. The standard Açaí Nut Bowl is $9.99 and is made with Açaí, Almond Milk, Banana, Almond Butter, Honey, Granola & Chia Seeds. They’ll charge you an extra $1 per additional fruit toppings. It’s also important to note they blend the nut butter and honey into the açaí, which makes it sweeter than other recipes, and the bowl is served in a large dinner-sized bowl instead of a small tub. I had an issue where they forgot the granola topping and added an extra tip onto my order; however, customer service was great and reached out to make it right.

Main Squeeze Juice Co. – Menu with Prices – 6825 S Fry Rd suite 100, Katy

I went here for some brunch and ordered the açaí nut bowl and also got a juice called Awaken with lemon, apple, ginger, and cinnamon. I’ve actually been to main squeeze before just in sugarland, though I prefer the katy location. The açaí nut bowl is amazing, though a little pricey it’s very refreshing and a good amount compared to açaí bowls in other stores. Some açaí bowls tend to be a little snowcone-y but the texture of this bowl is perfect. Not too soupy, very smooth. Though it did take a while for the bowl to be prepared, it’s understandable. I would love to come back and try all the other bowls this place provides. I’m not sure if it’s just me but they have size options in the katy branch (the regular for 6.50 and the larger for 9.95) and i didnt see this in the sugarland branch. The 6.50 bowl was the perfect amount for me and made me feel full but not in an un-healthy way. Love that they have this option ? The juice was actually a lot better than i assumed it would be, it tasted like apple pie (though very pricey…) About 9 dollars for a bottle is a bit much. It’s very convenient that it had a sample. idk if it was placebo but i did feel a lot “cleaner” after finishing it. I’m pretty obsessed with fruit bowls/juices at the moment so i will definitely be coming back here

Fruit Splash Menu with Prices 3016 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim

My favorite acai place ever–and I’ve tried a shit ton of acai. My best friend and I will literally go out of our way (Irvine to Anaheim) just for Fruit Splash. We’ve developed a great relationship with the owner, Mo. He is so friendly and would surprise us with free snacks! He also remembers our orders by heart:) The menu changed a bit, so my friend and I were lucky enough to try the old acai bases, but everything Fruit Splash has now is still super tasty. Acai blend: * no added sugar, all natural (says Mo) * tastes healthy * great consistency — in between smoothie and sorbet To get a better understanding, let me compare Fruit Splash’s acai to some others: If you’ve tried Blue Bowl, Berry Brand, or Earth Bowl Superfoods, you may have noticed that they share the same acai brand. Their acai is usually harder to scoop (sometimes even frozen) and much sweeter–you can taste the added sugars. Uba tuba has a very unique acai blend, but theirs flops from bland in taste to too sweet. Natura Bowls and Amen Acai (which is less than a mile away from Fruit Splash) have a similar blend in taste and consistency. Pitaya blend: * pitaya is typically pretty sweet (even without sugar), but the blend is not over-the-top * consistency is just like acai Granola: * super smart to put the granola at the bottom so that it 1) doesn’t spill all over the place 2) doesn’t get soggy and 2) is eaten throughout your bowl rather than finished first * not sure what type of granola it is, but it’s crunchy and yummy! Toppings: * “wet” toppings aren’t included in the menu/list, but my friend and I will get Nutella/pb/honey for free * you can’t choose your toppings, but if there’s a certain one you don’t like, you can easily substitute it for something else * you can always add more toppings (there are a good amount of dry ones like coconut shreds, cacao nuts, goji berries, etc.) * the acai to topping ratio is perfect! Price: SUPER cheap/reasonable for the size! In short, the acai is healthy, toppings are fresh and the amount is great, the size is filling, and the price is so affordable! Smoothies: So far, I’ve only tried the pitaya/dragon fruit smoothie, and it’s so yummy!! I’m not a sweet tooth, but surprisingly, I loved it. Mo also topped our drinks off with fruit slices (upon request)! My experience with this one drink already makes me confident in the quality of the other options/flavors. Fruit toast: This was one of the snacks Mo surprised us with! My friend had banana+peanut butter and I had cream cheese+strawberry. I didn’t even know I was craving it, but that first bite definitely hit the spot. There’s so much more on the menu I need to try, but I know nothing here at Fruit Splash will disappoint.

Anzo – Boca Raton Menu with Prices 20642 FL-7, Boca Raton

So happy to find this place. I am a huge fan of Build-a-bowl restaurants, and I’ve been clamoring for one to open up near me. Well, I couldn’t have found one any closer! Even better, the cuisine is Mediterranean. That’s the interesting part about these BaB restaurants, the concept is the same (pick your base, add your proteins, toppings and sauces), but each one offers a unique touch to the actual food offered. One of the first things that stands out at Anzo is the atmosphere. It’s very spacious, with light colors that create a calming and inviting ambiance. There’s ample seating and even a little loungy area in front, perfect for eating an Acai bowl or having a refreshing drink. Speaking of Acai bowls, yes, this Mediterranean joint doesn’t only build savory bowls…they have a designated section by the entrance where they build power bowls with either an Acai, Greek Yogurt, Rice Pudding or Overnight Oatmeal base. A very smart and well thought out addition to a place that already caters to healthy eating. Although I didn’t try any, their drinks looked quite appealing due to their unique flavors. There were 3 fresh self-serve ones: Carrot/ginger lemonade, Watermelon lemonade, and Almond milk tea. Between the drinks, the savory bowls, the sweeter power bowls, and the lounge, Anzo truly has made it so where they offer enough to keep you in there longer than you anticipated, or at least for a quick repeat visit!

Nature’s Juice – Menu with Prices – 335 N State College Blvd, Fullerton

I’m a huge fan of acai bowls so I chose this place to go have lunch with a friend. She works nearby so this place was convenient. I also saw that it had a high average rating so It thought it was worth a try. I think for acai bowl places, the prices here were a bit steep. I know acai bowls aren’t cheap, but I wish it were just $1 less for what I got. The ingredients were good, no issues there. And they were able to take my customization requests. But this is the “blend-type” acai bowl, not the “sorbet-type” so just to be aware. I like going back and forth between the two types, but the sorbet type usually has more customization, like Blue Bowl or Nekter Bowl Bar. Decent place, but nothing mind blowing. I probably won’t come back again as there wasn’t anything special in my opinion. But if you haven’t tried it for yourself, I’d recommend trying it, especially if you’re an acai bowl fan yourself.

Grabbagreen Food + Juice – Menu with Prices – 763 S Main St #200B, Orange

My coworkers and I have dined at other restaurants in this plaza and we have always noticed GrabbaGreen’s sign about their $7 bowls on Mondays. It’s a trap. The guys all got different variations of the $7 bowl deals. The 6 options for this deal are the Tokyo Bay, Southwest, Patagonia, Moroccan Mac & Cheese, French Quarter and Mediterranean Sea. Out of the five of them, only one person enjoyed their lunch. The majority felt lackluster. Also the size of your bowl varies on what base you choose, so someone who gets the rice will have a smaller bowl than someone who gets a salad base. It was strange. One of my coworkers made jokes about a second meal somewhere… anywhere… and how this meal left him feeling still hungry. I’m just glad we tried it on the discounted day compared to a full price $11 bowl normal day. I saw their sign for the $8 Build Your Own Acai Bowl and made the mistake of getting that instead. Their process here is utterly inefficient. When I was ordering, I was ready to tell them what ingredients I wanted. I was told that they would work on the other bowls and call me back when they are ready… I don’t see why he couldn’t type in my order and make it whenever he is ready. He had to find me a while after I paid to come back for him to build it in front of me. I had my acai bowl with granola, bananas, strawberry, blueberries, almond butter, sun flower seeds and honey. He told me to take a picture and post it on social media. Eww. It was so ugly. I wasn’t feeling critical but for him to tell me to post pictures of it, was he trying to make it look good? Cause it didn’t. Not to mention they are so cheap here on the fruits. The strawberry was one piece of strawberry cut into small bits. The acai base was the MOST DISAPPOINTING aspect of the bowl. It was BLAND and yogurty. I literally just ate the toppings and called it a day. Eating this just made me so sad. I wish I had gotten BLUE BOWL a few blocks away. Blue Bowl is like Acai Bowl royalty and this acai bowl is somewhere sub-peasant. I have been to plenty of healthy spots and this place really give healthy spots a bad name. Healthy food has the opportunity to be delicious, but GrabbaGreen is just bland unsavory overpriced and disappointing.

Blue Bowl Superfoods – Menu with Prices – 417 S Main St, Orange

Delicious and pretty darn cheap for the size, topping/base options, and the quality! After leaving Nguyen’s Kitchen with disappointment and somewhat empty stomach, my other half suggested we check out this side of the shopping center, since he noticed a few people just park in Nguyen’s Kitchen’s parking lot (you’re not supposed to, they have a big sign says they tow cars, just be quick lol), came here and went back to their car with some delicious looking bowls with fruits. Knowing how much I love fruits, he insisted so I obliged lol. We saw a short line that was out of the door (the store is tiny) so definitely a good sign. While waiting in line, I quickly looked them up in Yelp, and was ecstatic to see perfect rating with over 1500 reviews!!!!! The line went really fast. Mostly because all the employees are very efficient, plus everyone pretty much already known what they want when they walk in. With several different smoothie bases and bunch of toppings to choose from, I was nervous it would take me too long to decide. Thankfully, the way their ordering line is set up really makes it easy and quick to order. You start out picking the size of the bowl, which base or bases you want. You can get just 1, or ALL the bases they have to offer! Next is granolas, fruit toppings, then nut butters, last is nuts or seeds (chia, flax seeds, etc…). You have the option to choose all of those if you want!!!! Can it get any better than that??? Actually it can! Their largest bowl only cost $13! And doesn’t matter how many topping or base you get, it’s all a flat rate! Just pick the size of bowl you want n go to town on it!!!!!! Super glad we decided to stop here! It’s not the best smoothie bowl I have had, but definitely the best for the price and options. Good thing they have 2 other locations in Long Beach and Huntington Beach (none in Texas yet lol), for sure I’ll be visiting 1 of those 3 again next time I’m in LA or the surrounding!
