Great neighborhood bar! Super chill, low key spot. Good beer selection. They have this light show, don’t know if they do it every night but it’s super trippy. Good spot to eat too! They have a food truck outside that serves vegetarian options. I didnt try it this time but will next time I go by. They also have a vending machine with great selection of potato chips. Music played was a mixture of indie, alternative and rock. Good vibes. Everyone there was friendly.

Gillâ??s Grounds – Menu with Prices – 4011 S Power Rd #12S, Mesa

This place is tiny & adorable. Not much of a coffee shop and more of a military themed coffee storage shed built on the parking lot of Vertuccio Farms. Don’t let the camo looks fool you. They churn out pretty bomb drinks here and they have a large selection of them. Pretty much everything that’s hot, cold, blended and boosted. They even have some options that many other places don’t, for instance, matcha. I’ve been to plenty of bigger shops that have never even heard of it. So they score points for the menu. All the items I’ve had were made with care as well. They definitely do not cut corners here with the drinks. If there’s something I think they can improve on, it’s the lack of food options. They should offer something. Hell, even a vending machine would be an improvement. I feel they close too early and it’s a disservice to the local college students in need of some evening energy. They should also have some outdoor seating. It’s a nice location but there’s nothing. They have the space for it so I’m hoping in the future to see some stools or at least give me a stack of ammo boxes. An all around decent chain alternative coffee spot in close proximity to the ASU Polytechnic Campus.

Laundry on the Fax Menu with Prices 10941 E Colfax Ave, Aurora

Excellent. The main portion of the building is self-serve but the staff is super friendly & helpful if needed. Express service is available but I don’t know the price. Coin change machine and ATM available on site. Change machine takes bills $1-$20. There is also a slot vending machine for soap & dryer sheets on site. Limited parking behind the building, but plenty of street curbside parking if you don’t mind a short walk. Lots of basket carts & machines. I went on a Tuesday & it wasn’t very busy. The man told me they’re going to open a pizza shop next door. Will definitely come back.

Josephine’s Soul Food – Menu with Prices – 902 Lagrange St, Toledo

I want to start by saying, customer service was SUPERB. extremely friendly. Everyone who walked out of the kitchen said hello to me and how are you! However, I waited about 25 mins before I received my food. We didn’t get drinks until the food was served and I had to ask for them. The drink options were limited (koolaid & I believe pop from a vending machine, maybe more but I wasn’t told ) which I have no issue with. It made it more of a authentic and genuine experience in my mind lol. Im sad to say food was underwhelming bland . The potatoes very buttery but that’s about all of the flavor. The spaghetti lacked meatiness and real flavor. Catfish was nothing special but it was seasoned very well. The Mac and cheese was separated and noodles were overcooked.. nice flavor… not “wowed”. Yams were delicious! I was brought two samples to try ( potato salad & some other type of dressing) best part of my meals! The potato salad was the BEST I’ve ever had. I will be back because the customer service was amazing; and the reviews on all social media platforms are amazing for this place! #blackpower Total was 21$ something!

Politics Spirits & Games – Menu with Prices – 7426 S Staples St #215, Corpus Christi

The bartenders and staff are great but please DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE TOUCH TUNES MACHINE!!! Its a rip off! My husband and I put 10 dollars to hear some music. We were aware that a couple people had already went to the machine to add some of their own music. We waited about an hour and still hadn’t heard our music being played. I kept getting up to check to see if our music was next (you can see what next in the playlist up to 5 songs) and noticed that there were only 3 songs ahead of ours at this point. Great! I sat down and waited another 20 minutes…still nothing. I went back up to the machine and saw that our songs weren’t there anymore and that there were even more songs ahead of ours! The machine said these songs were added “by its mobile app”. It was 1am! and there weren’t that many people there! Seriously!!! Don’t waste your money! We left at 2am and never heard our songs that were requested at 11pm!

Ewell’s Place – Menu with Prices – 5718 E Kings Canyon Ave, Fresno

This little hole in the wall bar is a terrific find for me. We were welcomed right before we entered and again when we were inside. I have been to many other places where the bartenders give off a rube vibe which make you leave and never come back, but not here; Sarni was helping us when we were here and she was right on top of our orders and very upbeat. There are two pool tables, and darts, which are a plus because I love both! The restroom was clean and stocked. Also, there was always music playing, that was a variety of classic rock, alternative, and country, which spares any unfavorable silence. The clientele was a mixed group of good people. A nice new hang out spot when in need of a good drink.

Matinee Cafe – Menu with Prices – 700 N St Mary’s St #150, San Antonio

This large space on the first floor of a downtown office building doesn’t really stand out. The table cloths make it seem more formal than it really is, but the menu provides a good selection of breakfast options and sandwiches for lunch. I had the “main attraction” turkey sandwich with pepperjack cheese and their homemade potato chips. While the sandwich wasn’t really anything super special (it didn’t seem like they made their own bread) it was tasty, and well made. The homemade chips were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I took a cup of coffee and a slice of cheesecake to go. The coffee was pretty standard fare, as was the cheesecake, which came out of a box. The wait staff and owner were very friendly and service oriented. Overall this place isn’t likely to knock your socks off, but it’s extremely affordable, consistent and quick if you find yourself downtown around lunchtime.

Farmer’s Fridge – Menu with Prices – 100 E Wisconsin, 100 E Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee

I cannot rave enough about FF! It is technically a vending machine. The salads are all incredibly fresh and are larger than what you get at some restaurants. They have an app where you can see prices at the locations nearest you and also provide what items are in stock so you don’t waste your time walking there. Once you choose your items from the touch screen, the recyclable (there is a drop off hole for your used jars!) jars come out and the machine clarifies that everything came out ok. I ordered a coffee drink which malfunctioned and didn’t get spit out – was expecting to have to email company and try to get refund, but the machine was smart enough to realize it and deducted it from my total before charging my card. AWESOME The food comes in week-daily and is made in a Chicago suburb. Rumor has it that they are looking to provide heat-able meals come fall (think soups).

Fresh Smoothies & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2450 Creston Ave, The Bronx

I would like to think it was because I came in 15 min to closing but that shouldnt change the attitude that you have towards the customer. I walked in and the ladies were talking they looked at me and continued talking. Very disrespectful didnt get greeted or anything, so I said excuse me and asked for what I wanted. Then I told her ill buy an orange juice aswell only for the simple fact that I wanted to see the machine working she stated that the machine is off and the juice was premade that defeated the purpose of wanting the juice so I didnt get it, but They have a lil process that’s done to meet customers satisfaction they serve you an ounce or 2 of w.e. smoothie you ordered to taste for perfection incase you want to add anything or change anything but as I get my sample the lady started to pour it in the cup, didnt wait for my opinion. It wasnt as cold as I would have wanted it to be but didnt wanna start anything I just said it was fine. The one moping gets mad because my boots were dirty she told me to stand by the door and the other lady tells me to come over to the cashier to pay and the one mopping gets mad. I just think for a first time experience on a Friday night it should have been a little better.. I’ll come again another time maybe I’ll change my rating but as of now very disappointed

Frets & Friends – Menu with Prices – 2105 University Ave, Green Bay

This is a small, dive bar that is always bringing some decent local music. They have a good selection of craft beers, as the owner also owns Ned Kelly’s, and they know their beer. You can also get some pretty cheap beer like $3 tall boys of Hamm’s! The stage is perfect for a four or five piece band. I’ve seen a variety of genres like rock, country and bluegrass bands and usually will enjoy the music. There’s plenty of seating through out the bar. I think that kind of hurts them when having concerts as people tend to just sit and not go up near the bands to dance and enjoy the music. Check out this bar if you’re ever in the mood for music on the weekends.

Pâ??tit Frère Dumpling – Menu with Prices – 430 Avenue Duluth E, Montréal

Ok this place is a little gem that you need to try & discover! I would totally recommend that spot… Big time! Their dumplings are very tasty and just so delicious… probably the best in town in terms of great quality for the price. We also had the cucumber salad and the ravioli as appetizers… Everything was just so on point! The service is thoughtful and very charming, itâ??s always a pleasure to be welcomed by the owners ? Also, I need to mention that their music selection is surprisingly impressive! All about house hip-hop, old school jams, hip-hop instrumentals like Pete Rock and other great references. A very chill place where Iâ??ll be pleased to invite more friends and family.
