We came to Parkway Pizza in between baseball games today. We needed to eat and rest for an hour or so. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The place was really clean. Looks new. We ordered a couple pizzas and a couple subs. We got one cheese pizza and one mushroom pizza they were good. The steak sub was great. Definitely a place to try. They even prepared a bag of ice for my step sons hand (baseball). 5 star.

Sauce Pizza & Wine – Menu with Prices – 7300 N MacArthur Blvd #120, Irving

Came in on a weekend lunch and right as you walk in, you are headed toward the cash register. Up on the ceiling is the menu so we stopped to take a look. So many choices it was a bit overwhelming but I decided on getting pizzas. Me and the bf decided to order a mushroom pizza and the chicken pesto pizza with red sauce. It was easy to order and everyone was very friendly. Soon after ordering we got to grab our drinks and find a seat. Theres lots of seating options from booths to tables to high tops too. We sat in a booth and about 10ish minutes later our food came out. Presentation wise the mushroom pizza looked amazing. It tastes amazing too! The chicken pesto pizza on the other hand was sad. It was good dont get me wrong but the tiny bits of chicken pesto around the pizza did not feel like a chicken pesto pizza. More like a cheese pizza with half a handful of chicken. I felt that it was a great pizza for a child who might want a cheese pizza but the parent wants them to eat some protein so you sprinkle some chicken but that was it. The chicken, from the time amounts I was able to try, was actually pretty good, flavorful and soft. It was like a slowcooked or soft shredded chicken. Taking a bit made you wish there was more of it after the one bit that had the chicken and the rest just being dough and cheese and sauce. The mushroom pizza however had sooooo much mushroom and arugula it was like I could barely see the pizza. It was sooo good because I love mushrooms! Definitely would reccomend that pizza. Lastly the dessert was amazing. Super rich and big and the gelato was very good. We were soo full we couldnt finish the cookie but it was super gooey and rich and warm.

JBs Cheesesteak Food truck Hollywood – Menu with Prices – 6401 Sheridan St, Hollywood

In all honesty, I was planning on visiting one of the other food spots that are located in this parking lot but it was closed so I figured I’d give JB’s Cheesesteaks a try, and boy am I glad I did! I got the half cheesesteak combo which comes with fries and your choice of a canned soda, for $9, the full sub combo is $13. You can get your cheesesteak with peppers, mushroom and onion if you’d like, I opted for the mushroom and onion. JB’s advertises itself as the fastest lunch in town and it lived up to its name. In no time at all my order was ready. As soon as I took my first bite, all of my taste buds went into overdrive! The bread was so soft, the cheesesteak was tender and so flavorful. The mushrooms and onions added a nice touch, the onions were not too overpowering which sometimes happens when you order a cheesesteak. The fries were nice and hot, nothing special but good nonetheless. They also give you a piece of bubblegum with each order, cute idea. In addition to steak subs they have chicken subs as well. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it for those of you that love cheesesteak subs as much as I do.

Harley’s Pizza & Wings – Menu with Prices – 2100 E Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

I had heard that Harley’s Pizza & Wings had some interesting signature pizzas so I stopped by to try one out. Sure enough they have an offering of six, being a “Half Baked Calzone,” which is half ham and half regular cheese, a “Spicy Lobster” ($29.00), an “Avocado Smash,” a “Buffalo Chicken,” a “Phat Boy” with Kimchee Napa cabbage, and what I had, a “Mushroom Lover” ($26.00). Unfortunately they all only come in 16 inch size, which is more than one person can eat, so if you are by yourself you really can’t stop in for a quick bite unless you don’t mind packing some to go home with. My Mushroom Lover was a totally delicious custom thin crust, sort of Neapolitan in style, with both a Mozzarella and a Ricotta cheeses, a good portion of what I am sure were Korean Enoki along with Shiitake mushrooms, garlic and a topping of Arugula. It really tasted great with a profound fungus flavor, cheese taste and good crust texture, which at $26 is nothing less than I would expect. The overall menu at Harley’s is rather decent with not only its pizza and wing choices but also with its appetizers, salads and sandwiches. Being new, the place is spotlessly clean, roomie, and though nothing special or significant, with a pleasing enough décor and atmosphere. I felt very comfortable here and found it to be so much better than any of the other nearby competitors such as the Times Square Pizza Parlor. As for service, it was prompt, friendly and polite but exceedingly amateurish. On that count they could really kick it up by having the staff wear a Harley’s shirt and if a hat, having it a Harley’s logo hat and not wearing it backwards. Backward baseball caps may be cool for young kids, but not for professional waiters or service staff…..yeah, you got it. I’m an old grouchy curmudgeon when it comes to doing things properly and professionally.

Kennedy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 111-01 Rockaway Blvd, Jamaica

I walked in around 5:30 pm and ordered Pepperoni Pizza slice and 2 chicken wings. The wait time was ok and the prices are on par with other such fast food places. The wings were ok, though one seemed a little pink. The pizza on the other hand was disgusting, truthfully Iâ??m downplaying a little how bad it was. The cheese seemed like the kind that comes in frozen pizza, and led me to believe this pizza was not made today. Overall, not a good experience, will not come back. There is a pizza store a block away, Sofia, try that out instead if in the mood for pizza. I gave one star extra only because there was hot sauce on the table, and such I drowned out the last bit of food with it.

Olivella’s Legacy – Menu with Prices – 7300 Lone Star Dr C125, Plano

I went here with my giant puppy on Mother’s Day. My furbaby was taking me out for the holiday. How sweet is he? Hahaha. Luckily Olivella’s allows dogs on their patio. The staff member who helped me was quick to get a water bowl for my dog. It was a nice day to sit outside. I ordered the sopressata and sausage pizza, which my waiter described as a spicy pepperoni and sausage pizza. This pizza was pretty big, and definitely shareable for 2 or 3 people! The pizza was prepared Neapolitan style, which gave the pizza a nice fluffy crust on the edges and thin crust in the middle. The flavors from the sopressata and sausage were excellent. I ended up eating half of the pizza, haha. I took the rest home and the pizza was still great later that night. I ended up going another time with my coworkers, as the lunch specials looked legit. They offered pastas, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. We shared the sopressata and sausage pizza, which was prepared more like a flatbread during the lunch hour. It was good but I wish it was prepared the previous way I had it. For myself, I ordered the fettucine alfredo with chicken, which came in somewhat of a small portion. The noodles and sauce were good, but I didn’t enjoy the chicken as it was very dry. Overall, this place is a solid place for Italian food. Being that it is at the Shops at Legacy, it is in a great location but parking can be a little tough during the lunch hour. Shoutout to the server who took care of me and my dog during our dining experience here. I’d definitely recommend the pizza here! Enjoy!

Georgie Porgie’s Pudding & Pies Menu with Prices 757 St John St, Allentown

This place is all about the customer and not only getting a great meal but George and his staff make you feel like family. The attention to detail and satisfying the customer needs is top notch right down to writing a greeting on the pizza box…. try his mushroom swiss burger with blue cheese, amazing…. my girlfriend from Jersey loved the pizza and we go there as often as we can….

Andy & Sons Importing Co Menu with Prices 256 Delaware Ave, Albany

Andy & Sons is one of the few places I get food from at least once a month. I require their Broadway sub for hikes, road trips, or just a really good lunch. Every ingredient they use is flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced within every sub. This place is worth it for the subs alone, there’s really no contest. But you can also get a lot of other dishes, included prepared pastas and antipasto, freshly sliced meats and cheeses (the asiago and fresh mozzarella balls are some of the best). If you’re looking for Italian meats and cheeses, this is the place to go (yes, they have a better Italian cheese selection than even the Cheese Traveler). You can also pick up some frozen pastas that they make in-house, a whole bunch of amazing quality Italian grocery items, from balsamic vinegars, to espresso, to biscotti and more. Staff is always nice and fast too. Just a note that they do have a card minimum of $10, but if you get a sub + one of the chocolate bars they sell there, you’ll be set and happy. Or grab some freshly made garlic bread toasts to share with friends.

Town Tavern – Menu with Prices – 2119 Brewerton Rd, Syracuse

Upon recommendation from a few people, we had to try their shaved ribeye steak sandwich. We ordered out for dinner 3 steak sandwiches (one with mushroom only; one with provolone, mushroom, and onion; one with swiss, mushroom, and onion). We also ordered a large fry and an order of beer battered onion rings. The steak was a great piece of meat. It wasn’t grizzly, fatty, or greasy. It was very tasty but would’ve been even better if it was taken off the grill a little sooner. I think it was a tad over cooked. There wasn’t much of the toppings which was really disappointing especially because they charge extra for the onion and mushroom. And even though the order was rang into the receipt correctly, the kitchen mistakenly added cheese to the one that wasn’t supposed to have any. Luckily it wasn’t a lot of cheese. The roll was a soft white hoagy. I think it would’ve been better if they grilled it a bit. It tasted like old white bread. All of the sandwiches came with a bag of Lays potato chips and a pickle spear. The onion rings were big fat pieces of onion coated in beer batter and fried to perfection. They were crispy and delicious. And not greasy at all. The French fries were so crispy and delicious. I was actually surprised how crispy they were after getting them home. Normally fries to not travel well. All in all… I would try them again… maybe with some special requests.

Sal’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1288 Chalkstone Ave, Providence

This place is great! I’m mad it’s taken me so long to come here. Definitely old school, no frills bakery. Mostly all bread, rolls, pizza strips, and calzones from what I saw. I got a bunch of red strips and figured I’d try a white. Also got a steak n cheese calzone with onions and peppers and Italian with hot peppers. The pizza strips were great. Kind of crunchy on the bottom with a ton of sauce. Dry pizza strips suck. The white was amazing too. Very garlicky and flavorful with roasted red peppers and onion. Will def get that again! Calzones were great too. They were like $6 each which is a steal. I recently ordered a calzone from a local pizza joint and it was around $16, and it sucked. Could have had THREE from Sal’s and they would have been a million times better. Both calzones rocked. They hot peppers made it. Right balance of vinegar and spicy. These days I feel like they’re never spicy. Steak n cheese was packed with tender steak. Can’t wait to go back!

Plae Bistro – Menu with Prices – 1671 Hoffman Rd #10, Green Bay

Both the service and atmosphere at Plae Bistro hugely impress, and while I was excited at the prospect of such a large menu, my ravioli ended up leaving much to be desired. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Both the service and atmosphere at Plae Bistro hugely impressed. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, but we were seated immediately and had a server who couldn’t have been nicer. While it was crowded, our food came out quickly. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $18.00 got me a generous portion of Wild Mushroom and Chicken Ravioli, which was reasonable. Having said that, I would soon find out that this was really only a few pieces of ravioli doused in cheese. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? So it’s here that things went a bit awry. I like ravioli, and the actual pieces of mushroom ravioli here were perfectly fine. However, as you can see in the picture I took, these pieces of ravioli were absolutely doused in cheese, as in, dear god this is too much cheese even for mac and cheese. Frankly, it ruined the dish. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? I want to say yes here, but in that my dish was a bit off and neither my Dad or Uncle raved about their dishes, I can’t be sure I’d be excited to come back. No Star.

Larry’s Giant Subs – Menu with Prices – 1050 Edgewood Ave S, Jacksonville

You guys know I love me some Larry’s!! This place is super cool and more than subs! They share space (and everything else) with a new pizza concept called FU Fired Up Pizza. They have one of those tile ovens just like V Pizza but I was not here for that. I was here for the subs I love. Standard counter ordering, get a table number and find a seat. There’s a full bar and an outdoor patio. You can sit at the bar inside or out and there are about 6 tables outside. The patio is covered but open and it was a lovely day today. I got one of the delicious Italian subs, I think I had the Destroyer today. It was so yummy and huge. The bread can’t even contain the sub! My lunch partner got a loaded veggie sub that literally had every veggie in the place on it. We saw other coworkers when we got there and realized they got fries! I was jealous because that wasn’t mentioned as an option. Next time!!! The atmosphere is great, service was good and people asked how we were periodically. Standard value for a Larry’s, no crazy price changes or anything. I’ll definitely be back!

Lui’s Pizza & Subs Menu with Prices 1150 N Harbor Blvd #106, Anaheim

Best Pizza in Anaheim bar none. Have tried other places all over the place always to my sincere regret within North/West Anaheim. Lui’s is #1 for me. My faves include: Garlic cheese STICKS (there is a difference, they have regular garlic cheese bread which is not the pizza pie cheese sticks) Buffalo Wings! This place is my favorite wings place, I don’t think of anywhere else when I want wings. My custom orders: * Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage w/ Jalapenos is my personal signature pizza. * Hawaiian with Jalapenos is delicious * chicken bacon mushroom jalapenos Their Signature Chicken Club is #1 in the OC bar none. Deluxe/Supreme is fantastic as well. THE CRUST makes for EXCELLENT BREADSTICKS to dip in your favorite marinara, ranch, etc sauces. GRAVY! Its an honest pizza pie shop, great pizza, hidden gem, not as well known as other places because of its location but for locals and visitors to Disneyland – you just have to try it. Due to to size of the place it is not very good for dining in – unless you are alone or with 1 other person, best solution go for pickup. — TIP TIP TIP TIP TIP — Plan to be at the shop within 20-25minutes of your order so you get it HOT off the oven. If you phone-in ( it sometimes can be difficult to reach, since they go all hands on deck making their orders and any extra hands are delivering pies ). But its not because they are trying to ignore you, when they get busy, they get busy. Just keep calling every 5 minutes and you’ll get them. Delivery times tend to be 45 minutes to an hour for locals. I meant to post another 5 stars in 2018 but this one will do for both 2018 and 2019. I’m actually going to surprise my brother for his birthday by grabbing him a pie and some IPAs to go with this glory.
