There’s something about windowfront bakeries. They’re quaint, sustainable and ALWAYS run by a collaborative team that is in love with what they do. Paper Route does all of that with finesse, quality care and delicious carb-y goodness. I stopped by on a Sunday morning/afternoon and was delighted that I was able to find their storefront upon seeing Cenote. I was able to find street parking along E Cesar Chavez. Paper Route’s window is by the front entrance on Medina St. Their menu is discretely written out on parchment paper. By the time I got there around noon, some menu items were already sold out. I LOVE that they keep selling items under they’re all gone. It’s not surprising to me if they sell out every day by noon. The gal working at the cashier was SO friendly, sweet and helpful. She was patient with my heart eyes and gluttonous stomach. I got a box full of goodies (as recommended via Yelp) and she threw in a smores brownie too. THAT was so delicious. It’s not an item I would order, but the marshmallows were roasted perfectly and stuck on to the brownie the entire time. I highly recommend it. I loooove love love their pao de queijo’s. I’ve had these Brazillian cheese breads from Acai Hut near Barton Springs Pool, but Paper Route takes the crown. The reason is because it’s got some spice and kick to it! Plus they take care to sprinkle cornmeal on the bottom to give it extra texture. I love the little things. Oh, and they have samples at the window too so you can have a taste while you make the hardest decision of your life. Their scones are filling and full of flavor. The rosemary cheddar one was my favorite. Their milkshake cookies are black magic. And I’m here for it. I got their regular chocolate one and the peanut butter one. Both were incredible. They swirl it and definitely sprinkle some magic in it because I’m addicted. I don’t normally buy cookies because I’m big on baking them from scratch myself. However, I love the way that Paper Route makes their cookies. They’re chewy on the inside and are the perfect consistency–not dry at all. Great work. That’s the toughest part about getting the right cookie texture. And onto the last item–their coffee cakes. It’s basically like a snickerdoodle bun. It was my least favorite, but I still loved it. Every bite was delicious and didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to be back. I’ve told so many of my friends about y’all. My favorite bakery in Austin yet!

Bon Ton Doughnuts – Menu with Prices – 1225 Belt Line Rd #14, Garland

I have been going to Bon Ton Doughnuts since I was a little kid. While I have grown up and lived other places, bon ton is still my favorite doughnut shop. My go-to’s are the chocolate cake sprinkle and a dozen donut holes but everything is pretty good. Definitely get a kolache if you love them and try the frosted sprinkle donut holes if you want something different. ?

Loblolly Creamery – Menu with Prices – 1423 Main St Suite C, Little Rock

Looking for an awesome spot to grabs some ice cream? Loblolly is your spot! Decor: LOVEEEE IT! Simple but vibrant! Loved the colorful balloons, contour line drawings on the wall, and the unique way they display the menu on the wall. Also, when you look up at the celling, they have cool wood like sculptures. The place is a bit small but there is additional seating in the back, front of the store, and outside. Ice Cream: Such a variety to pick from. Everything from cookies and cream to a sangria flavored ice cream. But the great thing is they let you taste test. I decided on the Dark Chocolate Blackberry brownie sundae with cherries and sprinkle. VERYYYYY GOOD. The brown was fresh and moist! The ice creamy was creamy and delicious! They offer other items such as sandwich cookies (I’ll be back for one of those), macrons, shakes, and even merch. Staff: I didn’t catch their names but the ladies that helped were very sweet. Both had beautiful natural hair. Oh another plus for me was how attentive the staff was in regards to cleaning (cleaning tables off after patrons left, cleaning out macrons case, and putting out of place things back). Can’t wait to go back!!

Crumbles Cookies – Menu with Prices – 1191 Magnolia Ave Suite C, Corona

This place honestly has the best cookies around, 100%. The cookies are all baked fresh every day and they even have “day old” cookies on sale for cheaper (which are still good). The cookies are on the pricier side, but they’re definitely worth it. Pretty much every cookie I’ve had has been just a great flavor and texture with just the right amount of sweetness. And the cookies are relatively large. They do switch up a couple options on the menu, so while they definitely have their main staples, they do have some seasonal items that aren’t around forever. I’ve had a Lavender Oatmeal cookie from them that I loved but haven’t seen since. Pretty much every cookie is great, although I will say I appreciate all the different oatmeal cookie options without raisins. I can confidently say I do love oatmeal cookies now. Everyone who works here is also just as sweet as their baked goods. You’ll always get good customer service coming here. I would for sure recommend coming here for your cookie needs.

Campitelli Cookies Menu with Prices 5557 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd # 102, Anaheim

Absolutely obsessed with these cookies. They are big, thick, and chewy. Nice and sturdy on the outside with that chunky brownie-like texture on the inside. I always grab the double chocolate cookies or the a box of “Misfits”: These are cookies that did not come out looking nice but they taste the same as any other cookie from that batch. Each box is an assortment of these misfit cookies and they are inexpensive to satisfy that sweet tooth. They also have a variety of options for packaging and how many you want to purchase. Obviously the more you buy the cost per cookie decreases. I first tried Campitelli’s because a neighbor dropped some off as a welcome gift when we first moved into the neighborhood and I’ve been coming ever since! Located by the vet, Dominos and Asian Fusion Cuisine. There is also the postal office across the street. Make sure you keep a look out while your driving or you might miss it. They have tables outside with umbrellas open when it’s nice out so you can bring your dog or enjoy a sandwich outdoors. Overall best cookie spot in Anaheim Hills area I’m so glad I live 5 minutes away from here. Whenever I get a craving for a LEGIT cookie (not the boxed ones you can buy at Walmart… some real homemade tasting gourmet-esque cookies) this is where I go

Shivers Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 2425 Key St, Toledo

This is the third time I’ve gone to Shivers and it was great prior to tonight. The man who helped us was rather short with us from the get go. The ice cream we ordered (fudge brownie) tasted nothing like the flavor. It was gross and tasted like root beer. I informed one of the employees and was told that they don’t have root beer flavored ice cream (despite it being listed on their flavors on a paper on the window) and that the flavors for the ice cream come out of a machine, so perhaps it was the flavor from a precious cone. I’m not sure how that would happen with two entire cones of fudge brownie, or any flavor, but regardless, if that’s the case, beware of what you order because it may taste like something completely different. The most disappointing part was that there was no offer to get a different flavor or fix the problem. In the future I will get ice cream at a place with better customer service.

The Cookie Plug – Menu with Prices – 2915 Van Buren Boulevard STE J1, Riverside

Giant Cookies! Good Taste. This cookie place was consistently popping up on my postmates account and was craving something sweet, so I thought I would give them a try. It was a little more on the pricey side when I was reviewing their menu but ordered the cookies anyway. I got the half sack that came with 7 cookies for $15 and got 2 snooperdoodle, purple velvet, 2 OG chocolate chip, white macadamia, and pumpkin. When the cookies arrived via postmates, the cookies were HUGE and packaged in a ziplock with their logo (didn’t really care for the packaging). The cookies are about an inch thick with a diameter of a lunchables pizza, maybe even bigger (only way I can think of how to explain the size right now.) Just based on size, the price is MORE than fair!! I told my husband the price, and he was in disbelief due to the cookie’s sizes! Snooperdoodle– (snickerdoodle) the cookies are moist with crisp edges, but the cookie itself is thick. I prefer snickerdoodle cookies to be a little more on the thin side because otherwise it reminds me of a sweet bread. Overall, taste was pretty good. I think I expected something more like Mrs. Fields consistency but was not similar due to its thickness. Purple velvet–good taste and good texture throughout the cookie. It’s an interesting cookie. OG chocolate chip–these do not disappoint!!! Great dough and lots of chocolate chips! Perfect texture. Warmed it up a bit in the microwave and WOW! My favorite cookie of them all. I wish I could customize the cookie for a little less chocolate chips just because I enjoyed their dough so much. White macadamia–great cookie! Tastes true to the macadamia cookies. Texture is on point. No complaints Pumpkin–almost like a pumpkin loaf in cookie form. Pumpkin isn’t too overpowering. Moist with crisp edges. Great cookies. Definitely recommend.

Benefit Your Life Gluten Free Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 10420 Kingston Pike suite g, Knoxville

First and foremost, I want to make mention that the address is not correct. It appears they may have moved since this was published. They are now located off of Kingston Pike. To say this place is amazing is an understatement. I traveled from Bowling Green, KY to North Carolina and made a pit stop here both ways! It’s THAT good! They have SO many options for dairy free, too! I ended up getting some delicious paleo baked goodies, too! I called ahead and placed an order for pick up. I ended up getting a cinnamon sugar doughnut, glazed doughnut, paleo samoa cookies, paleo brownie, paleo chocolate chip cookie sandwich, paleo thin mint cookie, paleo double chocolate chip cookie, pineapple upside down cake, paleo coffee cake, and so much more!! It’s all been amazing! The doughnuts were SO unbelievably delicious! I should have gotten more! . . The only complaint I had was the paleo brownie…it was inedible (it tasted like something was missing and the texture was off), but considering that everything else was amazing I think it was just a fluke! This bakery is definitely a MUST stop for everyone! They even have a little store!

MRS. FIELDS COOKIES TAMPA FL – Menu with Prices – 2200 E Fowler Ave, Tampa

This Mrs. Fields is my favorite! It’s clean, everyone is so friendly and helpful! The cookies are yummy, of course, same as all Mrs Fields, but this one has the best Icees! their Icee is better than other Mrs Fields I’ve been to! It’s more flavorful and the ice isn’t as chunky as the others. Also their frappe is pure magic! Smooth and creamy without being too rich. My favorite is ultimate chocolate. This location has some really talented servers!

Donna’s Gourmet Cookies – Menu with Prices – 10796 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati

You know how you sometimes have a great, 5-star experience with a business but then you (unfortunately) have to come back and downgrade your previous rave review due to a disappointing experience[s]? And how it’s the principle of the matter, you just can’t have your now-inaccurate perfect score undermining your integrity (or credibility) to other consumers? None of the above is why I’m refreshing my 5-star review for Donna’s. I LOVE DONNA’S GOURMET COOKIES, so far they are my favorite cookies that I have had in my life and one of my favorite desserts/cheat treats. Nothing makes me act like a giddy sugar-cracked-out preschooler like a box of Donna’s huge, soft, buttery “cats-head” cookies, loaded with chocolate chips or crackled with sugary-cinnamon snickerdoodle goodness. I love many kinds of cookies, they are truly my favorite dessert (with cinnamon rolls and brownies-without-nuts coming in CLOSE 2nd place). Homemade cookies, Great American cookie cake, Busken tea cookies, Panera Cookies, Chick-Fil-A Cookies, the marshmallow cornflake cookie from Maplewood (!) – I love them! But Donna’s has my heart. My new favorites are Donna’s fancy decorated sugar cutout cookies with royal icing. These specialty cookies are SO beautiful, exquisitely detailed, THEY ACTUALLY TASTE DELICIOUS (you know what I mean, beautifully decorated pastry usually tastes awful!). And, they are affordable! I have ordered these cookies for Christmas, NYE and now Mardi Gras (and omg the Valentine’s Day Cookies that I saw today were soooo cute!). I cannot wait to have a reason to order some specialty cookies for one of my kid’s athletic events.

The Sugar Cookie – Menu with Prices – 10960 S Eastern Ave ste 109, Henderson

Amazing place for sugar cookies. The quality of the cookies are simply superb and the variety too.I really love all the chocolate cookies , specially the double chocolate. The coconut , lemon and original cookie are also fantastic.Maybe the one I don’t care the most is the red velvet cake. They have samples of all their cookies so making choices would be easy.Service is top notch and location has plenty of space and parking around.Totally recommended if you have a sweet tooth and you’re looking for quality cookies.

Kizito Cookies – Menu with Prices – 1398 Bardstown Rd, Louisville

Kizito Cookies has become a Louisville institution. You can find the individually packaged cookies and sweet treats at stores all over town, and you know you’re at a good festival or Bats game if you see founder, the always smiling Elizabeth Kizito, selling cookies from the basket placed on top of her head. And during Bardstown Road Aglow over the weekend, I got to go into the store where all the sweet magic happens. Happy bonus: Elizabeth Kizito was making the cookies herself when I stopped in! This small shop carries an array of African goods, like jewelry, ornaments and more. Love seeing this shop reflect Elizabeth’s different passions. But the cookies! Oh the cookies! The Snickerdoodles had just come out of the oven, so my husband and I had to get one of those to enjoy on our walk back to our house. Other favorites include the chocolate chip, white chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal and black and white cookies. And don’t forget about the peanut butter blondies with chocolate brownies and biscotti. These baked goods are always soft and delicious, not to mention huge. One cookie will likely do ya. And since they’re individually wrapped, they make great gift basket additions. When you need a sweet treat for yourself or others, Kizito Cookies is always a great call.

Cush’s Grocery & Market – Menu with Prices – 9535 Ellerbe Rd, Shreveport

We veered 5 minutes off our route to try Cushâ??s and we were glad we did. This is a market and deli with a small dining area. At noon on a Friday, every table was taken, so we waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere was loud with lots of friendly, local talk mixed with the sounds of the grill and kitchen which are at the front of the market. Our Chef Salad and Bouquet Salad (Chicken, Shrimp, and Fruit Trio on a bed of mixed greens) were delicious, as was the perfectly buttered French bread. The portions were generous. The bakery next to the check-out counter offers tempting treats including seasonally decorated cookies. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent even during the lunch rush.
