Let’s see, so my wife and I came here Sun after church because she needed to go to Michael’s store right when they opened and I was getting hungry! So I wanted soup and what better place than a place that serves pho’! As we ordered we stood there a few monitors while the lady behind the counter prepped a dish. As she greeted us with k smile and we couldn’t really understand her, we managed to get our order in! I got the beef skirt and flank pho! My wife just a beef skirt pho! We ordered also fresh spring rolls! So as I went Sri get a table my wife waited for the soups. She noticed that on the container the chopsticks were in there were bugs crawling on them! Ant like insect! Of course I was told this as I ate my soup! As I went back to get some hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce I noticed that some of the trays the food is served on were dirty! We paid some $$ for this food So I continued to eat my soup and spring rolls!! We thought we ordered one order of spring rolls bet we got four rolls cut into 8 pieces! Wow! It was good! I liked the pho! My wife complained that she had too much meat!! WHAT!? So she she gave me some which made my soup yummy! A few big jalapeños and I was good to go! Despite the few bugs and dirty trays food was good but since this was an open food court you may expect unsanitary instances, but you need to build you immune system, right!!? LOL!

Tran’s Seafood – Menu with Prices – 3346 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Fort Myers

Don’t let the name fool you because this is NOT a seafood restaurant, it’s an awesome tiny Vietnamese restaurant and supermarket! We have been there several times and so far we have had the Pho, egg rolls, spring rolls and bahn mi. The egg rolls and spring rolls are the perfect pairing because the hot crunchiness of the egg rolls are an excellent companion to the cold, crisp freshness of the spring rolls. The bahn mi is very tasty but the Pho is where it’s at. The broth has so many layers of flavor that you can tell it’s the real deal and make sure you come hungry because the bowls are huge! We always get the Pho Dac Biet (Special Beef Pho) because we love everything in our Pho but you can order it any way you want it if you’re scared of tendon or tripe. But don’t be afraid because it’s all delicious!

Em Kitchen Asian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 4400 Roswell Rd Ste#154, Marietta

I learned about this restaurant through Yelp when it opened just a few short months ago. Not sure I would’ve known about it otherwise. So a little extra advertisement would go a long way in getting the word out about this new restaurant located in Marietta. When I stopped by recently, we were the only diners during a weekend lunch hour. The service was a little slow initially despite being empty. We were ready to order, but had to wait a while before anyone came to take our order. Beyond that, the service did improve later on. For the menu, the restaurant has quite a diversity of options available. You can order Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Korean food here. We started with the Shrimp Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Style Chicken Wings. The spring rolls were good, but I noticed that there wasn’t enough peanut sauce as we ran out before we finished the spring rolls. The wings were very flavorful, and I really liked those. For entrees, I ordered the Special Combo Pho (Vietnamese menu), the tofu for my kids, and beef tofu soup (Korean menu). The portions are quite generous. I shared my pho with the kids, and the tofu soup we were able to save some for a nice snack later on. I was able to talk to the owner on my latest visit and learned that the broth for the pho is marinated for 36 hours. The owner is from Vietnam and she was very nice. She brought out some extra broth for us to share when she saw that we were sharing the pho. She was also very pleasant to speak to. Overall, I liked the various options of food you can choose from. If you and your partner are both craving Asian food but can’t agree on a type of cuisine, this would be the perfect place to go.

Daisuki Ramen – Menu with Prices – 27473 Ynez Rd STE 1C, Temecula

I got so excited when I found this on Yelp. I decided to try the Pho Ga and Spring Rolls and my husband has the California Rolls even though it seemed questionable that they had so many options on the menu. I should have stuck with the Ramen since the restaurant’s name has the word Ramen it in but I wanted something light. When it was delivered it was on time but the soup was cold which lead me to believe it probably wasn’t too freshly made. Once I ate it, the noodles were chewy and undercooked. The Spring Rolls were sloppily made (I grew up making Spring Rolls with my family so I was not impressed). My husband thought the CA Rolls were nothing special, that they’re better at Albertsons or Trader Joe’s for the price. We tried it, it wasn’t bad but nothing tasted fresh or authentic. I might try the Ramen but overall we’re not impressed.

Cafe Mai-Mai – Menu with Prices – 8636 Granville St, Vancouver

A hole-in-the-wall establishment located near the corner of Granville and 70th. Not expecting good decor or service, and my expectations were definitely met. However, the dining space and utensils did not look or feel dirty, at least to the human eye and touch. Main selling point is msg-free pho, which may appeal to some people. Menu includes the classic Vietnamese appetizers, pho, vermicelli and rice dishes. They also have specials like bun bo hue, satay pho and sweet and sour pho. For a weeknight, I didn’t want to be too adventurous so stuck with the classic pho options and ordered the rare beef house special pho: a bowl of vietnamese soup with rice noodles, rare beef, beef balls, tripe and tendons. It is garnished with green onions and cilantro, and served with bean sprouts, basil leaves and lime on the side. Condiments include chili oil, chili sauce and hoisin sauce. The broth could be hotter temperature-wise. It also has a darker brown color which leads me to think soy sauce and/or fish sauce may have been added. Flavor is okay (enough seasoning) but lacking depth. Adding chili sauce and oil to the broth really enhanced the flavor. The various meat toppings were well-prepared and paired nicely with the broth and noodles. Portion size was good for soup and noodle, but amount of meat was slightly lacking. Also ordered the fried spring rolls but they served me the salad rolls instead. Funny enough, the waiter tried to serve the salad rolls to another table that also ordered fried spring rolls. When it finally arrived, I had already finished my pho so timing was not ideal. The spring roll itself is wrapped with Chinese spring roll wraps. My preference is the double wrapped rice paper spring roll variant that I have grown to love while visiting Ho Chi Minh. The filling was a bit bland, so the complementary fish sauce was a welcome sight and added much needed flavor to each bite. Maybe I should have kept the salad roll instead…. My overall experience was underwhelming, which is unfortunate as pho here is decent. Service can be improved and menu/decor should be updated. You can find much better pho and vietnamese food in other parts of town, but do visit if you are in the area and craving a bowl of pho – just remember to skip everything else, including the washrooms.

Thai Garden – Menu with Prices – 432 University Ave W, St Paul

We went there yesterday afternoon based on the reviews but were sorely disappointed and ended up leaving right after TRYING to order. First we ordered an appetizer of spring rolls but were told that they were out of spring rolls! Upon my asking how a Thai restaurant could be â??out of spring rollsâ?, the server gave multiple excuses – there were only three people working, they just had a large group of people that had ordered spring rolls, they were behind. I thought this was outlandish but because we were there as a birthday lunch for someone in our party, I tried to make the best of it. As I always do when I eat at Thai food restaurants, I wanted to order the Pad Thai, but found the description of â??sweet, sour, saltyâ? on the menu confusing as Iâ??ve never known Pad Thai to be sour OR salty. When I asked the server why they described their Pad Thai this way, she asked me what color the sauce was on the other Pad Thai Iâ??ve eaten. I thought this was a strange question but I answered â??brown I guessâ?. She then said â??we make our Pad Thai different than everyone else and our sauce is orangeâ?. Ummm, that sounds like a sweet & sour sauce to me. At that point, I knew this place wasnâ??t what the reviews seemed to indicate and we left without even completing our orders. As Iâ??ve seen in at least one other review, i donâ??t understand how this place has such a high rating and it doesnâ??t seem this place knows how to cook Thai food. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are many other Thai food restaurants in the Twin Cities from which to choose.

Noodle World Jr – Menu with Prices – 960 Ontario Mills Dr, Ontario

I thought this spot was worthy of a review. Nothing fancy. More like a Ten Ren’s/pho/thai fusion all rolled into one. There is plenty on the menu to entice any eater. Kids in tow? No problem. They keep it simple with chicken tatsuta-age, white rice, and chicken satay for those that are less daring. If you want to dive deeper into the soup and noodle dishes there are multiple options. I went with the Special, Beef udon Tom Yum soup, $10. Perfect amount of tender beef chunks and udon noodles. The spice was just right. Enough to get my nose running. I was a little standoffish when the soup was served in a plastic bowl. That goes to show me not to judge a book by its cover. I was pleased with my soup and wished I didn’t get so full because I wanted to eat more. My wife had the chicken pho and I thought the chicken was bland. She picked it all out. I brought it home to feed the dogs. Skip the chicken pho. The fried tofu is cooked perfectly. The veggie spring rolls were okay as well. I enjoyed mixing all the flavors and trying a bit of everything. This is a good place to eat if you want noodles/soup without the hassle of a sit down full service restaurant. I still ended up spending just over $60 for a family of 4. If you want to save a buck or two, skip the soft drinks at $2.50/ea. I noticed a lot of people ordering eater. Teas and other fun boba/jelly drinks available too. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. It was a nice find for a quick bite before the movie across the street at Edwards. If you’re feeling adventurous there is a great place for ice cream next door.

Krua Thai Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 7603 W 21st St, Wichita

This placed used to be so awesome. I’m not 100% sure but I think new owners took over and this place has really gone downhill since then. Either way the service is now abysmal and after my experience tonight I definitely won’t be back. Ordered my usual Spring rolls, Chicken Panang, Chicken Pad Thai. Picked up and got home – which is more than 10 minute drive – to find my spring rolls weren’t included. Called up to ask for the cost of my spring rolls to be credited back on the card I used. Not only did the lady argue with me and remain adamant that they did not forget my rolls but then said the only thing they could do is give me a credit for my next order. Nope. Not good enough. Especially when you are calling me a liar, raising your voice and won’t even offer an apology. Why on earth would a customer of several years try to ‘swindle’ you for a single order of spring rolls lol?!

Saigon Block – Menu with Prices – 2150 Arapaho Rd, Richardson

This was the best Vietnamese dining experience ever. The food was delicious and the authentic. We ordered the medium sized baked fish for a party of four and it was plenty. The fish was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I was surprised how moist the fish was considering it was baked. I expected it to be dry, but instead it was moist. There were sprinkles of toasted garlic and green onion covering the fish that helped compliment the soft fish. There’s plenty of leafy greens and herbs for the spring rolls that came out with the fish. The combination of the warm crispy fish with the fresh vegetables feels light and flavorful. The textures in this dish was helped enhance flavor of each wrap. We also ordered the imperial spring rolls and beef three way. We ate the beef rolls by wrapping it in lettuce and dipping it in the sauce. I really enjoyed the imperial spring roll. There was what felt like a crispy egg roll wrapped in the inside. When I bit into the spring roll it was warm and savory.

Phu Quy Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3213 17 Ave SE, Calgary

Order through Skip the dishes and it was horrible. Spring rolls were soggy, Raw Beef Pho was cooked beef(who cooks the beef for Raw Beef Pho? aka the beef was over cooked the broth also taste like chicken). Satay Beef and rice had no flavor at all. pork Vermicelli left a lot to be desired as the Pork was overcooked and kinda tasted like beef. Oh and don’t forget that you have to pay 1.00 per sauce like Hoisin. We ordered 2 Hoisin and only received 1. When I called the location to advise he told me I was lying. He would not listen at all no matter what I said, First time my office ordered will be the Last.

Mikado sushi & grill – Menu with Prices – 920 American Rd, Lansing

We tried Mikado sushi before going to see Hamilton and thought it was about average. I would have rated 3.5, and since Yelp requires whole numbers, I am in the habit of rounding down. When we arrived, we noticed the building looked like it was previously a fast food restaurant as it had one way in, one way out, and a drive through window. When we got inside, it looked like they might have kept the original seating, but added some decor to spruce it up and remodeled the counter where you would normally order into a sushi bar area. We felt the menu was pretty traditional, and while some of the sushi roll names might have been unique, the contents were similar to what we have seen in other sushi restaurants. I was looking for something unique and different, so I ordered the green monster roll as this was only the second time I’ve seen a roll like that, and thought it was good but it didn’t blow me away. All of the other rolls we ordered were LOADED with sauce. I think a nice sauce drizzle is good on specialty rolls, but they added a little too much for my liking here. I did like that they use paper straws here, and thought the salad was pretty good despite the fact that soup and/or salad do not come with your sushi rolls. (Paying for soup/salad at a sushi restaurant is a pet peeve of mine. When some places offer one or both with a single sushi roll, and you buy six pricey specialty rolls, the least they can do is give you a complimentary soup or salad with it.) We thought the prices were comparable to other sushi restaurants in town, and we didn’t NOT like it, but we still have other favorite spots in the Greater Lansing area.

Thai Corner Menu with Prices 1277 Gilman St, Berkeley

I ordered Pad Thai, Green Beef Curry when Thai Corner first opened to take home for Dinner and it was a great meal full of flavor. I took my wife to have lunch given the first great positive experience and was so disappointed that we left the food on the table with a very bad taste in our mouths. This time we ordered Calamari which came in a batter fried with squid that tasted like rubber and was very hard that we could not eat it. We told our waitress and we said if we could get something else instead and we traded it for the spring rolls. The spring rolls came really fast so we were happy at first, but then noticed the lettuce and vegetables were very stale and yellowish in color not fresh at all. This time we had ordered the green curry beef and pad Thai again. The food tasted terrible this time, and we felt that it had to be a new or different cook at lunch time because it wasn’t like the time the week before. The curry had an excessive amount of coconut and meat was not flavorful at all. The pad Thai was a mush of a strange flavor that tasted like iron not at all like a Pad Thai is supposed to taste. We have been to many great Thai places and it is really disappointing that a new restaurant in our neighborhood would be so inconsistent in the quality of the experience. Our waitress noticed we asked for the check and did not even care to inquire about the why we had left all the food on the table after just 10 minutes. She just handed us the check for $41.76 and said nothing (September 16th 2019 transaction) . We paid and left without even bothering. I think it is really sad and terrible how a new restaurant with a huge capital investment just does not train or care to know why new customers would walk out on their food. My wife and I kept asking ourselves, “how are they going to remain in business like this?”

Metro Noodle and Boba – Menu with Prices – 635 N Main St, Corona

I ordered a few menu items to go. My buddy was visiting from long beach. He was craving asian food so i heard about metro noodle so have been wanting to try it. Ordered hanain.chicken. grilled pork spring rolls. Stirfried rice noodles and beef. And fried fish balls. Honestly all the food was horrible.the chicken tasted old and dry. The noodles the same. Rubbery and stale while the beef tasted almost recooked and leathery. The fish balls were ok. We got a few in the order i suppose. But the worst was the spring roll. I opened the plastic wrap to find the top of the spring roll was hard and i took the spring roll out and both bottoms were completely ripped open. Its obvious the spring roll is a day old from this. Im embarassed for the restaurant that would even serve this. I trued to take a bite. I made my own sauce. The sauce they served with it was straight from the bottle of fish sauce. In edible. The spring roll had lettuce. Rice noodle and a repeat of old grilled pork. No herbs..nothing. Obviously i wont be returning. I just wanted this to grt back to the owners of the restaurant. Truly disappointed because its so close to home and read good reviews
