Let me start this review of by saying that I’m half Persian, so I’ve gotten the chance to know what a good kabob is. I only tried the Beef Koobideh Kabob when I went, and I thought it was pretty good. It certainly wasn’t the best that I have had, but for the price you really can’t go wrong. My brother ordered the Beef Koobideh Kabob entree and I ordered the Koobideh Wrap. I thought that my wrap was a nice twist on the traditional way of eating kabob. The portions are huge, so I suggest sharing with someone else. The reason that this review has such a low rating is the service. Our waitress was terrible. From the start, she had a bad attitude and seemed like she would rather be anywhere else. I was very confused by this, because I saw her interactions with other tables and she was friendly to them. When I was deciding between two items on the menu and asked for her opinion, she replied with a very sarcastic answer and did not answer my question. She never came to check on us during the meal, not even once. At one point my brother wanted to order a water and I waved her down to ask for one. She made eye contact with me for a few seconds and then chose to ignore me and kept on walking away. I had to call out to her to ask for a water and then she seemed annoyed that I was asking her for one. I was very exasperated by this. At the end of the meal, we were trying to get our check but she was very hard to get a hold of. I ended up asking someone else for it, but she managed to get my waitress’s attention. We waited for close to fifteen minutes at the end of our meal to get the check, and then it took even longer for her to pick it up and return it. The service was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning to this location because of it. On the check it said that our waitress’s name was Rocio.

Prime Kebab & Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2127 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver

Had a craving for Persian food but limited to delivery service. Saw Prime pop up in Grubhub and looks to be a new restaurant. I was trying to find them on Google, and it appears this might be a franchise with locations in the UK?! Well this I have to try! Delivery was somewhat slow, pushing an hour when it was estimated to be 30-40 min. Portions are a little small; however, so are the price points – nothing over $9.99. Ordered the koobideh platter and the gyro sandwich. Flavors were on point. Koobideh, skewers of ground beef and lamb, were cooked well done as expected but still juicy. Gyro meat was delicious, but again, a little small and sparse; wish they had a side of tzatziki sauce available to order. Decent saffron rice. Overall, a good choice for this cuisine; not high end or best ever, but perfect when you have that craving! They also have pizza for $5.99-6.99; will have to give that a try and update my review.

House of Kabob – Menu with Prices – 1212 Sparkman Dr NW, Huntsville

Very friendly staff. We were served by I assume the proprietor based on how she was talking. She gave us an extra soup and also brought my daughter crayons and paper to color. We were also checked on at least three times by another friendly employee. The food was delicious. I had a two kabob combo, chicken and beef, and my wife had a chicken and beef kabob a la carte. The odd thing was that my chicken kabob was chunks of chicken and hers was ground. Both of them were very flavorful, especially with the taziki, but we the menu wasn’t clear on what the difference was. I enjoyed the soup very much as well. I could see ordering that soup as a main entree on a winter day, maybe with some pita. The worst I can say is that I wish I had ordered more, as I didn’t know what the portion sizes would be, and I wish they had fountain drinks as opposed to cans. Other than that, very positive experience. We will definitely be back.

Arlington Kabob Menu with Prices 5046 Lee Hwy, Arlington

I can’t believe I never reviewed this place until now. This is by far my favorite kabob place in the DMV area!! The staff is always very friendly and on point. I probably eat here at least 2-5x per month. Food is always consistent. Plus I love that the food is not that greasy so I can go back to work right after I eat instead of being in food coma. They serve free mint tea if you eat there which I like to drink in the end after my delicious meal. When the female owner is on-site, I noticed the food is slightly better then normal. My favorite option is the combo for 2 where you can order 4 different meats and I will split it with a co-worker. If I have to order just for my self, then I always get the Kufta Chicken Kabob which is my absolute favorite of all the wonderful kabobs they have. My friends joke with me and call me Kabob King because I’m addicted to kabobs and like to try new places all the time. Arlington Kabob is still my favorite and I have converted so many of my friends over. Plus they accept credit cards which is convenient. I prefer this place over Ravi Kabob and Kabob Palace… although there is no denying that Ravi has the best chickpeas ever.

Sevan Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 1315 E Colorado St, Glendale

Oh my Lord. I just had the most amazing Persian feast at home! The prepared eggplant dip ($6.99) was soooo delicious and so was the mast moosir (yogurt with garlic). (5.99) so worth it!! Their Lavash was VERY fresh and I usually don’t like lavash (sometimes it’s dry). I had given up on store bought dolma (it’s gross, bitter and end up spitting it out) but not from here! I tried the cabbage one and grape leaves one and I personally liked the grape leaf one a bit better, but both were delicious! I’ll definitely buy them again. (Making them is so much work) And of course the meat. I brought home the beef Lule kabob (koobideh) and the Shish kebab. Both so juicy, flavorful and FRESH. Amazing. Usually when I get the prepared kabobs from Middle East markets like super king, or Johns, the meat smells like old rotten animal, and the flavor isn’t that great either. I’m so glad I came here and not too far from me in Highland Park. The guy in the meat counter was very nice and cute!

Brand Grill – Menu with Prices – 1200 S Brand Blvd # 7, Glendale

Just when I was starting to feel like I’ve eaten at all the good food stop in Glendale… I come across this gem! I was driving down Brand on my lunch break trying to think of a new place to grab lunch at the sign for Brand Grill catches my eye. I quickly check my yelp app and I saw 3…yes 3 5-star reviews. I can’t say no to a Mediterranean place so I pull into the lot. I come in and boy this place is small… I’m talking real hole in the wall. There are 3 2-seater tables and, what looks like, a covered deli counter. Above that is a row of entrees and sandwiches… just about all of them under $10. http://s3-media4.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/jsxDNt5QhqJA65mhJSvtRQ/l.jpg I make my order an the guy behind the counter says that there is about a 20 minute wait as everything is made from scratch… me likey. THE ORDER #5: 1 Beef Shish Kabob and one Luleh Kabob Plate – 5 out of 5 – Wow…just..wow! First off the plate was HUGE! This was enough food for two people. I take a bite of the beef shish kabob and seriously almost fall out of my chair. It was moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. The luleh was equally good. It was super tasty and juicy. Also on the plate was a huge serving of rice, some white onions and red onions and a roasted tomato and pepper. Add to this that the platting was done well too. http://s3-media1.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/v0nRYZ-mCKWOkpvh2G3Lmg/l.jpg OVERALL These are some of the best kabobs I’ve EVER had. It’s up there with Mini Kabob also here in glendale…maybe even a little higher as the service here is very pleasant. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe Menu with Prices 4280 S Soncy Rd Ste 100, Amarillo

Here now– thought we would try it out despite the negative review to see for ourselves. We ordered a wrap and a smoothie each and sat down. The wrap came out at about 8 minutes and it was DELICIOUS (must give credit where credit is due). We waited for our smoothies for a few minutes before eating, they were taking too long so went ahead and ate, finished, picked up and continued to wait… it’s been 30 minutes and we’re still sitting here waiting … Update – my husband went back to the register to check on our order and they lost our order. The employee asked for and took our receipt from him because they lost our ticket.. the time stamp on our receipt is 3:23pm, it is now 4:02 pm… we just received our smoothies without even a simple apology ..

Ramona?s Kosher Italian Eatery Menu with Prices 19785 Hampton Dr #6, Boca Raton

Maybe they were having a rough start since they just opened a few months ago; the food was great but the service and organization was bad. We came on a Sunday morning and there was only one other couple there. When our group came in, there was no server/hostess/waiter in sight. We sat ourselves, found our own scattered paper menus in the kitchen. No one to explain the specials/menu until the server walked into the restaurant 20 minutes after we arrived. She was super nice; I just wish she was there earlier. We did like the little crayon boxes they gave for the kids. Unfortunately, my husband’s order was forgotten, and they didn’t start making it until after everyone else was in the middle of eating. They gave the kids free ice creams which was sweet. My least favorite part though was when the check came, the server for some reason thought my brother was the one that should receive it rather than us (though we were paying), the check was not itemized, and when I added it up in my head after I left I felt like we were overcharged, especially considering one of our meals came 20 minutes later than everyone else’s. Was tip included? Charge for toast? I don’t know. My husband and I were divided- he said he loved the food (“best calzone I’ve ever had”) so would eat there again, but I would not return because of the inconvenience of the service. Maybe takeout…

Texas Roadhouse – Menu with Prices – 2525 W. Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Irving

I ordered To-Go at the Texas Roadhouse and it was the best decision I ever made!!! I am in town for work and needed a quick meal at the hotel. I ordered the steak and shrimp meal. It came with two sides. I ordered mashed potatoes with gravy and a salad. They provided plenty of rolls which are a meal in itself! The shrimp was on a kabob stick. It was seasoned very well with great taste in every bite. The steak is there speciality and did not disappoint. The meal was so big I couldn?t finish it (that?s what she said). The service when I came in was fast and friendly. I was able to get my food immediately.

Carnitas La Cotorra – Menu with Prices – 3031 S 1st St, Garland

I am on personal quest to find the best taco in the DFW metropolitan area. I will be rating my opinion based on three criteria’s. 1. Is the taco as good a Sanora style taco. 2. Does it taste good without salsa. 3. Originality to be fair to TEX-MEX style. I will only order beef, pastar, or carnitas since these are the main tacos most people order. Beef Taco good flavor of a street taco but needed the help of the salsa 3 Pastar taco was good and was served of the kabob and was sliced off the kabob a little dry but still good 3

Al Wadee Restaurant and bakery Menu with Prices 311 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim

I tried this place last week and have been meaning to write a review worthy of my experience. I ordered the kabob steak platter with hummus, rice and salad with pita slices and a side of baclava. It was incredible! I’m very picky on my Mediterranean food let alone trying places other than my fav place in the pack district. But now this is my new favorite place for sure! Service was great and friendly and even gave me extra bread because I had left over hummus. I literally ate ever grain of rice and drop on my plate because it was THAT good. And I don’t know what it is but I always leave food on my plate and never finish a meal, except that night! I even took my plate back to them to show them and the cook how delicious I thought their food was!

Sanaa’s Gourmet – Menu with Prices – 401 E 8th St #100, Sioux Falls

I would have given 5 stars but the likelihood that my review would have been filed under “reviews not recommended” would have been high. I really loved my meal and never tried vegan kibbeh and a couple of sides before. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes are offered There is also a special of the day. I should have taken a picture of my meal but after traveling for 6 hrs. The thought didn’t cross my mind-lol. After I finished I wished that the portion sizes were bigger but drank water and all was well. Buffets are at dinner time and on Saturday. Please check website for details. I also tried a couple of the desserts like the fennel cookie and a ladyfinger. Excellent There was plenty of parking at 2pm. As we were walking out the door I saw a table display stating “We are healthy.” I thought yes and delicious too.

Beefstro’s Gourmet Beefs – Menu with Prices – 13180 Livingston Rd, Naples

Thank the Italian Beef Gods for Beefstro’s! Native Chicagoan here, lived there for 90% of my life, I’ve eaten at all the best beef and hotdog spots and I’m highly critical of ANY place outside of Chi that boasts about it’s “Chicago beefs”. Which I think is funny because in Chicago they don’t call them Chicago beefs they call them Italian beefs! Anyway, the place is clean, has an open kitchen, and is loaded with very genuine touches of Chicago living. I felt a bit home sick! Ok now the food, I ordered a beef, with mozzarella, dipped, add giardiniera peppers. Also, a Chicago dog with everything on it. They use Vienna! The dog has everything it’s supposed to have! It was very good. This served as a big reminder for me that Vienna makes the best dog! Better than Nathan’s! (Fight me) The beef, was dipped expertly, tasted amazing and had genuine Italian flavors ( not like the taste of flavoring cubes melted in water as others I’ve tried). The peppers were up to my standards as well, overall just a great tasting beef (can’t believe I’m writing that for a Florida review). ONLY part I wish they did different is wrap the beef up if it’s dipped, just makes it easier to open slowly as you eat it. But honestly it was such a small detail I almost feel bad adding it, either way I ate and enjoyed every last morsel. You would too! The two fellas behind the counter were friendly and professional. They made the beef and dog expertly and asked if everything was ok, overall great service from these guys. What can I say! I am so glad I have a place for beefs and dogs now! The price was around $10 per person and comes with a side of fries or chips. If you’ve never had a legit Chicago dog or beef I give my full endorsement to this establishment. Get the beef dipped, get the dog with everything! You will not regret it.
