If you want poor treatment and bottom scraps, this is the place to go. Arrived here on July 4th, hardly anyone in there at lunch hour, only 2 tables were seated besides my own as a 3rd. That was a sign right? Should’ve listened to it. The server comes on by , hands us our menus and we see a $22.99 for all u can eat, which is a bit more than advertised at $19.99 , i guess it was raised recently, so whatever. On the menu it clearly says “Minimum 2 orders” so my Mom picks up her Octopus, and shrimp. Remind me what minimum means? Not maximum, right? So i wanted to order my own and they go Oh you cannot order. Excuse I can’t order?? Your mom already choose. She has to FINISH the food before u can order. WTF. So I think they are gonna give her a few shrimp and octopus on one of those small plates i see over there, that must be the reason I can’t choose yet, it’s one of those places u can get multiples and quickly. She then puts her hands out squats down and blinks rapidly, u can get salad bar! … There’s plenty food! Her face was telling, like she thinks we were stupid. HOLY $W#@ I was wrong !!. They loaded it up with 40 octopus which were pretty low high school grade, the same kind I saw at Korean high school lunch fare. My Mom tries to stuff all that down but its not good at all, and its 35 minutes later until the server arrives again, while I play with my spoon! What was I doing? Just gonna get full off of the salad bar?? I mean come on now They gave me this pile of 80% fat and bloody mess of “meat” which clearly looked like the scraps that u get left off that u were gonna throw in the trash. We pointed to the high quality beef on the table next to us, asked if we get an order of that. The lady goes NO NO !! that is separate order, you can not! Well sh!t , if it was separate then why not at least try to upsell us? That kind of attitude was offputting My Mom complained about this to them and wasn’t happy, they just pretended that they didn’t know english and gave us dirty looks like were stupid. NO NO NO. I should say back. This was the WORST Korean bbq I’ve ever been to. There’s many places that have better food, better prices, let you order at the same time as everyone else . Trust me, go anywhere, just not here!! Note: U may wonder why the reviews are good in the ones before. Well it turns out a lot of places tend to do good on grand opening then do worse after they got you in. Also, the feeling I’m stupid look on her face still hasn’t worn off.

Casa Jimenez – Menu with Prices – 19171 Magnolia St # 6, Huntington Beach

Was in the mood for some shrimp and octopus cocktail, saw the reviews for this place. HUGE MISTAKE. My father & I called in our orders. When we got there the cashier was very rude to my dad. Upon arriving, I had to drop a duece, so we walked in, I split to the restroom to handle my bizz. Instead of welcoming us, (like regular businesses do) she asks if we are gonna order something or just stand there. My dad tells her we are here to pick up our phone order. When we got our shrimp cocktails, mine with octopus, we got them in 24oz cups which are large at this place. Ketchup packets, a pinch of tapatio packets, and moist soft saltine crackers. Our cocktails had a small amount of shrimp and octopus, as if these sea creatures were going extinct and they were preserving them. Also served with chopped onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, all with faucet water. I got full off the broth (once we mixed the ketchup & tapatio) more than the extinct Octopus and Shrimp. My dad went a few days ago, and got the same rude service from another worker there, he kept correcting him as he ordered and made him feel uncomfortable. Why the rude service? We do construction, and come in on our lunch break, maybe our appearance makes us not welcome? Well, I don’t recommend this place, unless you come in with your best suit, gucci belt, and apple airpods because the look of a working latino to these people will get you poor service.

Cevi Chelas Brownsville – Menu with Prices – 943 N Expy ste. 17&18, Brownsville

Tried this new little place. The hubs ordered a michelada. It included a big shrimp for $7.95. The Coronas were $3. I really liked that they give you a complimentary ceviche tortilla chip. The chips they use are really good. We got a few snacks: ceviche tostadas, octopus lettuce wrap, and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the octopus it was too chewy. The ceviche was tasty but it’s made with tilapia:/ most restaurants will use Basa which is worse. Yuck! The good thing is that they offer an upgrade to flounder for $1. Most places don’t have this option so props to Cevi Chelas.

Mariscos El Güero – Menu with Prices – 1550 W 6th St #108, Corona

Exactly what I’ve been looking for and craving! Authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious ceviches! They have a large variety of ceviches to choose from and they are all wonderful tasting. I tried a couple but my favorite one has got to be the El Guero! This one has a variety of different seafoods including shrimp, scallop, octopus, and abalone. It has the perfect blend of seafoods with lime flavoring. I also tried the ceviche boat which allows you to choose your ceviche. This includes fish, crab and/or shrimp. The ceviche boat is really pretty but l didn’t enjoy it as much as the El Guero. I found the ceviche boat to be a little bit more lacking in flavors and a bit too spicy for me (Note though that I am more sensitive to spicy). Lastly, I ordered the Caldo Mixto which is great! This is a hot, cooked dish. It’s a seafood soup with a huge variety of seafoods like mussels, clams, abalone, fish, shrimp and octopus! A lot! So it’s definitely a great dish for sharing! If it’s you’re first time here with a group of friends or family, definitely consider sharing family style. Order a variety of different ceviche flavors and share! That way you get to try different flavors and find out which ones you like the most. This restaurant is on the smaller side so it can fill up fast. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait if you dine in during peak hours. The waitstaff here is super friendly and attentive! This place is a gem and I’ll definitely be back!

Mariscos Culiacan – Menu with Prices – 5821 N 67th Ave #101, Glendale

Mariscos Culiacon is a casual Mexican Seafood Restaurant with alcohol located in an older strip mall in Glendale. This isn’t a fancy place. Culiacan is a city in northwest Mexico in the state of Sinaloa so it seems they serve Sinaloa Style Mexican Food. Most of the fish dishes they offer have shrimp, octopus and tilapia in them. We sat ourselves and were given menus, complimentary chips, salsa AND small cups of seafood based vegetable soup. The soup was fresh made and developed with flavors. I was going to order the whole red snapper in hot sauce but was told they only had tilapia so I went with Veracruzana Style Tilapia. The tilapia seemed very fresh and was flaky, meaty and mild. They seared it up nice and one side was crispy. The sauce seemed like it was made with mild chili and there were bell peppers and onions on it. My plate also came with vegetable studded white rice, refried beans, salad garnish and hot steamy fresh tortillas. My husband had the Marinero Relleno. He received a foil envelope PACKED with LOTS of seafood with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and CHEESE. He got as much tilapia as I got, shrimp and octopus. The shrimp and tilapia were prepared well but octopus was a little chewy. He got the same sides I got rice, beans, salad garnish and tortillas. Our server was very pleasant. Worth a trip if you happen to be in the area 3.75 stars

Wharf Casual Seafood Mahan – Menu with Prices – 4036 Lagniappe Way Ste. #3, Tallahassee

I called him not to go order at this restaurant about a half hour before closing. I ordered a side dish of fried shrimp, shrimp dinner, and a wharf Burger. The shrimp taste like it was in Greece that needed to be changed. it was also all different textures and colors as if it had been placed into separate baskets and not timed. Little did I know that the wharf Burger had shrimp on top of it. I called this in and was Tony was a good burger but did not know that they had shrimp on top of that. I would not have definitely ordered this had I known. I’m allergic to seafood and my wife isn’t who ordered the shrimp. it was very slow waiting for the food to come up they close that 8:30 I was in there at 8 and didn’t get my food until about 5 minutes till closing. I definitely will not return to this wharf, however other ones that I’ve been to have been very good.

Qwik Chek Deli & Catering – Menu with Prices – 2018 Clearview Pkwy, Metairie

This place is ok. It’s a like in hole the wall place. Looks like a neighborhood convienience store. Food is alright; a bit pricey for what they serve. We order a 12 inch shrimp poboy and large cheese fries to split. The cook behind the counter was nice enough to serve the poboys on seperate plates. The cheese fries was a very big portion. We only ate a third of that. My boyfriend didnt like that the poboy was served on sesame covered french bread. I didnt mind it too much. The shrimp were nice sized but this was definitely NOT overstuffed. The lettuce and tomato were shredded and diced and sparce. It just really wasnt anything worth bragging about. It was just… ok. We left out of there full but not satisfied. We contemplated on what better options we had with the money we just wasted on this place. We couldve split a kobe beef burger at cheesecake factory for probably the same price. Im not even crazy for cheesecake factory’s atmosphere. Well, lesson learned. Always gonna be hit or miss when trying new places. I always have high hopes for small mom and pop businesses but for the most part this was somewhat of a let down.

The Farm Sports Pub – Menu with Prices – 1701 Moorland Rd, Madison

I haven’t been to a lot of dive bars, but if this experience is anything to go by, I’m gonna be back. The food is good. The atmosphere is lively. There was a lady in a bikini walking around drunk and having a good time. Classic rock was on the speakers. I just sat there and drank and watched people. Everyone left me alone. It wasn’t rowdy or stupid. Good place.

Mariscos El Cachanilla – Menu with Prices – 4127 West Ln, Stockton

It’s hard finding good Mariscos in Stockton. After hearing good things about the food decided to give this place a try. Food: I ordered an empanada with pulpo and shrimp, and a tostada with shrimp ceviche. My mom ordered an empanada with shrimp and a small shrimp coctel. They don’t skimp on any shrimp or octopus so that’s good, but they can step it up with the flavor. Empanadas are crisp and flaky, served hot. When we asked if the empanadas are one single or several, and if it’s large the lady just pointed to the picture. Ok that tells us everything. So if you order it is a very large empanada closer to the size of a small calzone. It’s served with a salad and rice. The rice isn’t worth the calories as it tastes like nothing. Service: Terrible service. The ladies at the front let us wait until they could be bothered to take our orders. No greetings, no eye contact, and she couldn’t even answer simple questions about the food. I didn’t even know if she was ready to take my order as she acted like she was doing something avoiding eye contact at all costs. Being the first time I’ve ever gone I had a few questions as I didnt want to over order. Ordering in Spanish didn’t help get any more answers, so may as well not even ask. The only decent service was the cook/bus man who helped clean the tables. He brought the rest of our food to our tables and was kind. Dunno what crawled up the lady’s butt, but she shouldn’t be working in service if she’s that unfriendly. Maybe the only way to order is take the food to go, because it’s sh!t service when it’s empty, couldn’t imagine how much worse it can get. I’ll still be looking for good Mariscos in Stockton .

The Landing – Menu with Prices – 2501 S High School Rd, Indianapolis

Yes, it’s the restaurant inside of the hotel. I dined here three times during my stay at Crown Plaza Hotel. They have a buffet that has items that rotate each day, so you could literally choose the buffet everyday and have different options. The first day I choose the buffet and filled up mainly on the salad options, so the next day at lunch I inquired about getting just salad and I was pleasantly informed that getting the salad bar only is only $7.50! Score! The first day when I got the full buffet, my tea was included. But when I got the salad bar solely, I was charged an extra $2.50 for my tea. The food was fantastic but the service was despicable. I didn’t come into contact with one single pleasant or remotely nice person there. When I asked for a refill after Mary passed by my empty glass several times, she literally shushed me. She said that she had to take someone else’s order first. There is a bar area separate from the restaurant that you can order from the same menu. The first night I had the club sandwich and it was so good that my husband ordered it the next day for lunch. His was a lot different… obviously prepared by a different chef. Both were great though, don’t get me wrong. My cousin ordered the club sandwich and fries later on the first night and after quiet awhile, she asked where her food was. The bartender went to the back and brought it out… all cold. My cousin mentioned it to her and she brought out a side of fries, but not a replacement sandwich that was also suppose to be toasted and warm. I’m quite certain that fault was of the bartender leaving it back there too long. They certainly need some training…

Rafina Greek Taverna Menu with Prices 33433, 6877 SW 18th St, Boca Raton

I’m glad I don’t live nearby here, I’d gain plenty of weight because the food is sooo good. Good friends that do live near here brought My wife and I and we loved it. Starting out they bring you warm pita and a spread that I have no idea what it is except that it was delicious. Our dinners came with a salad or soup- 3 of us chose the Greek salad, 1 chose the lentil soup. The portions were large so don’t over-order! However for an appetizer we couldn’t resist the grilled Octopus. I have to tell you I never had octopus that was so tender. I asked the waiter (Nick) what it was marinated in and he said it is boiled in wine and capers. Fantastic! Btw, when you visit ask for Nick to be your server. He is kind, courteous, attentive and professional! We really had a tough time deciding what to order for a main, ogling everybody else’s dinners didn’t make it any easier. The menu is pretty extensive and our friends that are regulars here assured us that there were no bad choices. I went with the lamb shank over orzo (delicious!), Wy wife went with shrimp over orzo, and both our friends went with the lamb chop lollipops. Everyone was totally satisfied. The food was delicious and fresh. We also really enjoyed the specialty cocktails (I found the watermelon rush- ouzo over crushed watermelon- a great pairing with the lamb) and my wife LOVED the cucumber mint martini. So needless to say, I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return. If this review was beneficial to you throw me a compliment or vote and make my day! Bon Appetito!

Mariscos Lauro Villar – Menu with Prices – 354 E Elizabeth St, Brownsville

Very good, fresh seafood. You know a seafood joint is good when they serve you a small cup of their broth first. Atmosphere: Nicely decorated, lots of wood. It was pretty warm inside, though and found myself sweating and feeling somewhat uncomfortable. Service: Outstanding, completely accommodating and checked up on us regularly. Food: Good, with a few hiccups. The chips were a little stale and the fries were a little soggy. The seafood itself, however, shined. I had the jaiba rellenos (stuffed crab) and oh my gosh. They looked too cute, all nice and stuffed, and they were absolutely delicious. I managed to eat one, because I was stupid and filled up on fish broth, chips, and guac. But I took my crabs home to go and I still very much enjoyed them as leftovers. My sister had stuffed shrimp and they also looked pretty good. My mom’s dish looked interesting. I don’t remember what it was called but I got to eat a tiny squid (or octopus?) and it was delicious. Man, I love coast cities. Best seafood around.

Bakudan Ramen – Menu with Prices – 17619 La Cantera Pkwy #208, San Antonio

Walking in, the decor is beautiful. I love the touch of Japanese culture. It’s not a very big space so if you want a seat, you better get there before 6pm. We had a great server. I don’t know his name but he was very knowledgeable and helpful in letting us know what items are popular, spicy, and his favorite. We went with a party of 8. The majority chose to get the Ramen. My son and I got the Bibimbap. We also tried various appetizers. My daughter got the vegetarian ramen. She said it was bland and had to keep adding soy sauce, which gave it a better flavor. My son got the combination bibimbap with noodles. He really enjoyed it, he loved the flavor. My hubby got the garlic tonkotsu. He was a little disappointed. Although it came out looking deliciously beautiful. It was just beautiful. He said it needed more salt. There was no flavor. He said it was meh. I had the bibimbap with shrimp and noodles. It was DELICIOUS! It did not disappoint and it had plenty of flavor. I did find that the shrimp was a little on the salty side but nonetheless very good!! My hubby and I traded dishes after a while. After tasting his dish, I really did not like it as much as I thought I would. You can definitely taste the garlic but that was the only flavor that I tasted. As much as I love garlic, this was not the best flavor for this fish. On the other hand, my hubby was satisfied with the rest of my dish. We also had the Bakudan edamame, octopus balls, gyoza, and shrimp tempura. The edamame was very good, not spicy at all. The octopus balls were interesting, not a favorite. Nobody liked the consistency or texture of this appetizer. The gyoza was nothing great. The tempura shrimp was the best item out of the appetizers. Overall, this place was alright. I would go back for the shrimp tempura, edamame, bibimbap, and the “Coke” (the use a local vendor for their sodas). Not sure what they put in their cola but I drank like 3 glasses! I don’t really drink soda so that really surprised me. Anyhow…I will be back again, at least I know what to order now.
