We had a craving for diablitos last night but wanted to try a different place since we were unimpressed with our regular place last time. So off we went to try this place. It’s right next to my favorite pho restaurant (New Saigon), so that’s a plus to me. The shop was very clean. It was also empty which, to be honest, worried me a little. However, it was also very clean. The lady working was friendly and explained the items to us. We decided on the diablito with ice cream. It was so delicious. Better than other diablitos I’ve tried. We also got a bag of chips with Valentina and limon. They were also good. Not to mention that the customer service is great. At other places, the employees seem bothered when you ask questions or take a little bit of time to decide (even if you stand off to the side and let other customers ahead of you). I will be coming back here and hope that more people find out about it so it stays in business. The only thing I would suggest is to have a menu with all the items inside. There was one hanging outside over the door and the menu inside is very basic. FYI, there is a charge to use your card so bring cash if you don’t want to pay it.

The Black Beans Cafe – Menu with Prices – 712 S State Rd 7, Hollywood

It was me and 5 other people who decided to try this joint because it was recommended by other people. We came in for breakfast. It was our first time and of course we have questions. Half of us speak Spanish and the other half doesnâ??t. It seems like the waitress (who never introduced herself nor cracked a smile) speaks only in Spanish. We started asking questions and it seemed like the waitress was bothered by the questions. She even sighed. Throughout the whole experience, the waitress was very rude, very disrespectful, inconsiderate that half of us doesnâ??t speak English so she got annoyed that they didnâ??t understand her. She even forgot one of our food until 10 mins later after we all started eating. She didnâ??t bothered coming to our table to ask howâ??s the food or if we need anything. The food wasnâ??t to die for. It was in small portion and very bland for an expensive meal. The experience was awful. Her tips was $2 for the whole meal (one of us felt bad to leave $2). I wrote horrible attitude in the receipt. If thatâ??s how customer service is here, then none of us will ever come back again. They lost a big amount of customers. We are going back to the Little Cuban cafe on Griffin Rd. So much better and superb customer service.

Don Tortaco Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 4792 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas

I ordered the California Burrito for $5.72 It has asada, cheese, fries and pico de Gallo . It was served hot and the tortilla wrap was delicious . The burrito was a good size and it was really good . The restaurant was clean inside and service was good . However-I was the ONLY one in the place when I ordered so I can’t vouch for the service when it is full of customers . If I could pick out one thing that I didn’t like? When I’m eating , I don’t like employees to sweep or mop around me. I realize that many places have employees who do this because the boss has told them to keep busy and keep the place clean, but as a customer – I never like it . I often am in this area and I will come back again .

Dew Chilli #2 – Menu with Prices – 2690 S Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield

We had always wanted to try the Dew Chili Parlor out, and we had seen the commercials for the new location open on Wabash as it sounded really good, so we stopped in. We ordered a Sancho (minus the sour cream), a Smothered Sancho, and a side salad. There were two employees behind the counter taking orders and filling them, here’s where everything seemed to go down hill. The customers after us got both of their smothered sanchos before us, and we received the regular sancho before the customers that were ahead of us got any of their order. Unfortunately it had sour cream, so i told the employees and they seem to understand and so i went back the table. They brought out a smothered sancho, and said this is the one without sour cream, which is not how we ordered that one. We accepted the smothered sancho and asked for a side of sour cream, but then actually looked at all of the grease on this thing and decided we were not about to eat something that greasy, dang. This whole time we are looking at the other customers’ smothered sanchos and they were not covered in grease at all… SO we asked for a refund and they obliged. On my way up to the counter the customers ahead of us had still not received anything and said they wanted a refund as well…The customer mentioned that they had run out of lettuce…LOL Sorry, we won’t likely be back to this place.

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – 110 Dover Crossing Rd, Clarksville

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers I’ve found this Kroger to be closer to my home and a better choice than the other ones in this area. The produce section isn’t as cluttered as the one near the Lowe’s and their organic/natural foods section is similarly organized and stocked, though it is on the small side. The biggest-and by far the best difference is the care and attention the employees put towards customers. I went in late on a Sunday night and I heard employees asking customers if they needed help finding anything, not like other places where customer avoidance seems to be the call of the day. When it was my turn to be lost I asked someone and instead of her taking me someone else who worked there walked by and took my to exactly where I needed. I haven’t had two employees offer to take me to what I needed in…ever. The topper was this, it was a slower evening so of course the people working the registers were talking to each other, but when I approached the cashier actually stopped to check out my items. They’ve won my heart and my money.

Piccadilly Cafeteria – Menu with Prices – 3216 University Blvd S, Jacksonville

I was hired expecting to work in a great and CLEAN enviroment, but I was wrong. I worked for one day training to be a cashier. The trainer was nice and patient with me. I did appreciate that. But the place is a dump, YES a dump!! The carpet in tearing, worn out and coming up in some places. They have the carpet secured down with clear tape. The wall paper is bubbleing and coming off the walls. It is dirty and dingy. The ceiling tiles are falling down. Now, the back where the employees work is as horrible as the front. The breakroom is dirty, unsanitary and is as small as a closet. The lockers, they supply for the employees, are broken, rusty and hazardous. The kitchen is dirty, hot and humid, to where the staff comes up front to cool down. There should be better ventilation in the kitchen. The freezer is stocked with raw chicken and vegetables together. This is a health hazzard. The floors are wet and dirty. There is only one person back in the kitchen doing the dishes, which is a big job to do. The employees curse, fondle each other and listen to music on their phones, in front of customers. They are rude and they make rude remarks to the customers as they walk away. The manager either ignores the employees as they do this or he just doesn’t pay much attention. The cashier gives discounts to whom ever she wants to. The staff steals food and eats it at their work station. The waitresses are the only employees that seem to be working hard and are friendly to the customers. I would not trust to eat at this restuaraunt. The food might look and taste good, but it is cooked in a very unsanitary restuarant.

Pizza Americana – Menu with Prices – 800 W Arapaho Rd, Richardson

Ok. Honestly. Another pizza place? In order to make it in the “pizza world”, you’ve GOT to stand out and be AMAZING. DFW has millions of places to choose to go to for pizza, so if you decide to start a pizza restaurant you’d BETTER have an AMAZING pizza, INCREDIBLE staff and competitive pricing. Unfortunately, this place will probably not be a repeat performance for me. The service was average…not bad. The pizza was unremarkable…not bad. It was all just so forgettable. And with 999,999 more pizza places around, we probably will not choose this place again. I do appreciate the fresh ingredients, but again, nothing that will bring me back. And on a side note, the seating is not very comfortable. I think sitting on a pile of stones may be more comfy than the wooden benches against the wall. However, the restaurant is clean and I DO love the style of the decor. So there ya have it. To sum up my review…. “Meh…” Not bad, not awesome.

The Pittt Barbecue – Menu with Prices – 6320 Oaklandon Rd, Indianapolis

I saw this establishment on the news and have driven by it more than a few times, but today I decided to he ahead and give them a chance. Now I normally dont eat at BBQ places because the rib tips are almost always too chewy and you end up spitting it out after the sauce is gone, but this place is nothing like that. Upon entering I was greeted by Natalie, who was very pleasant and didn’t rush me to decide on what I wanted, she also made some recommendations for me as well. I ordered rib tips, catfish, spicy Mac, and greens. I started with the ribs since that’s what they’re supposed to be known for, and I was actually surprised that they could pack so much flavor into one bite. The meat was well seasoned and tender. The sauce was a very good compliment even though at most other places I tell them to put the sauce on the side in hopes of getting the best pieces. I then moved on to the greens, they were what I would expect, had some good flavor but nothing too crazy. The spicy Mac was good, but I think it could use some more heat. I then decide to eat the catfish even though I was already full. The catfish was fried beautifully by the chef of the day Denisha. After forcing myself to eat most of the catfish because the filler was so big I washed it all down with some lemonade. The lemonade was so good, I had to order another one before leaving. To sum things up, I will definitely be back again instead of just driving by, I can’t wait to try other items on the menu. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, stop by and get yourself some of this delicious food!

Unitea Bubble Tea Menu with Prices 614 W Park Row Dr, Arlington

Hooray! Finally ventured out to get boba since I moved here. I’m so glad I did. My friend and I really enjoyed our experience at Unitea because not only was the place fresh, light, clean, and airy, it had games! The girl who served us was polite and answered my questions about menu items. Oh yeah, our drinks were so refreshing and light! The only reason I detracted a star was because of some confusion with the menu. Some items are marked as “Dairy cannot be substituted,” or “Dairy can be substituted,” and some are not marked. Unfortunately, many of the items that have no mark, are only able to be made with dairy milk, which sadly, I cannot enjoy. On the plus side, I was able to try something new (green Thai tea!) and the boba was fresh, gummy, chewy, and tasted like honey! YUM! Definitely will be back, but after I try a few other places around town first – on the hunt for the best boba now!

1 Hotel South Beach – Menu with Prices – 2341 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Misleading marketing on rooms. And a staff that doesn’t stand behind their customers. The hotel is beautiful. I had such high hopes staying here, but started off our trip on a horrible front and was so disappointed by the customer service. We booked a ocean view room with balcony, and as you can see – the view we got was of the other side of the hotel. If you stood in the corner of the balcony you could barely glimpse a sight of the ocean. Effectively, the room was nothing like the picture of the room we thought were booking. When calling guest services, they basically told me that I had to call Expedia to deal with this. They did not want to help and didn’t seem to stand by their misleading marketing. More importantly, they didn’t even seem to care that they had an unhappy, disappointed and downright deceived customer. Most businesses would care when dealing with such a dissatisfied customer. For such a nice hotel, they need to learn about two crucial aspects in hospitality. This will keep customers happy and coming back (we certainly won’t be back) – 1. Don’t false advertise your rooms. Ocean view means ocean view, not view of other side of hotel. 2. Customers service is everything. Don’t tell your customers to basically “fuck off” when you’ve mislead and deceived them So disappointed in this hotel. This is supposedly a 5 star hotel – they need to visit the Ritz for a lesson in customer service.

Sushi Chiyo – Menu with Prices – 13307 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver

I don’t like to give lesser reviews, and I don’t like to be all Mr. Negative Nancy… That said, it wasn’t the quality that got me, but it was the style.. they would make about 100 plates of each type and keep sending them out, seemed they didn’t make the majority of the items, we would have to ask for all the hot items. They were friendly and they were accommodating, but really I like to just grab and go with these places.. We came in at a normal lunch time, the place was clean, friendly, and well equip for the customers. We had no issue finding 8 seats for the group. Food was fresh, clean, and had no issues on presentation, but really it was just another conveyor belt sushi place. I would have liked to see more variety, and more hot items ready to grab.

Fulton Alley – Menu with Prices – 600 Fulton St, New Orleans

I can’t imagine reccomending this spot to any of my friends. While I did enjoy the specialty cocktails we tried and the brussel sprouts, we only had one postive experience with the staff. The front desk person seemed absolutely clueless, was not helpful, and did not seem to understand how to do her job. Before this interaction, one of the bartenders greeted us with “what?” when walked up to her with a question about ordering food. It seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered while she conversed with the other employees who were hovering around the closed bar. There was also an issue with the tab, I think they were having issues finding the name, which is fine, but the employee that came up to us to ask about the tab wasn’t friendly. It felt like she was bothered that she needed to come clear it up, even though that had nothing to do with us… Maybe this was an off night but it did not leave a good impression especially for a fellow service industry local.

Pure Water Ice & Tea Company – Menu with Prices – 3333 82nd St, Lubbock

I frequent this store several times a week and they have good tea, ice etc. Usually the service is fine too, but today I can not say that. The crushed ice machine was out of ice, as several of us tried to get enough ice for a drink, but no luck. One girl was waiting on the drive lane thru running around working hard, but a young guy in black glasses just stood there watching us try to get ice to no avail. And no help. We went to the counter to get ice which is not a big deal but why not go ahead and fill it since you know it was out? I then check out and he barks at me , phone number. Okay sure. $4.93. Okay. Never says thanks or goodbye or go to heck. He was truly bothered to be having to wait on someone. He just turns around goes back to his phone. He could not have been less friendly and was borderline rude. This kind of poor service will cost you customers. Tea stores are all over town.
