When I move to a location or if I am going to be working in that city for extended periods of time it is imperative that I find my “Go To” food places!! A great steakhouse, an amazing Chinese restaurant, a fabulous burger joint, and of course, the best pizza joint in town. So, have you met my friends over at Pagliacci Pizza?!?! I posted an earlier review for Turnpike Pizza around Green Lake which is a darn good pizza and I am sure there are some great places that I have not even gotten around to trying yet but for right now, Pagliacci Pizza is my go to pizza joint and it is a freakin good pizza. These guys check all the boxes for me, thin crust New York style pizza, check!! Great dough strong enough to hold all the topping and not get soggy, check!! Top quality toppings that are fresh and bursting with flavor, check!! I have popped in here several times to buy a slice (cause any good pizza joint sells slices, fuhgeddaboudit) and I really enjoyed their basic cheese pizza and their pepperoni pizza and they were both great so I figured it was about time to buy a large pie the Kish way!! I ordered it over the phone, paid in advance so as not to waste any time when I swung in to pick up the pizza, show up and the place is hopping!!! They have almost no parking, deal with it, nobody in Seattle has any parking. I get my pie, I take it home, I put my feet up and I am in heaven, this pizza was perfect, no seriously, everything about the pizza was perfect!!!! I almost ate that whole pizza (don’t judge, I’m a binge eater, well that’s not true, I just eat a lot) and I loved every single bite!!! There are still some places in the Greater Seattle area that I need to try but if a wise guy from the old neighborhood ask me where to get good pizza in Seattle, I am sending them to Pagilacci’s!!!!! Oskar’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2851 SW Roxbury St, Seattle

Easily some of the best pizza in the Seattle area. I have eaten MANY of the pizzas in Seattle and Oskar does it 100% right. Absolutley amazing pizza. If you like REAL pizza. East coast, thin, made with love pizza? Try Oskar hes a killer dude making even more killer pizzas.

lambeth pizza – Menu with Prices – 1-2295 Wharncliffe Rd S, London

This places rips you off. I ordered the twin lg pizza deal which is 25.99 on their website menu and a gyro salad which is 6.49. They forgot my 3 dips and 4 pops AND over charged me more then $10 (total 45.17). When I called upon arriving home Mustafa agreed to refund the difference if we went back to the store and give us the dip and pop (we live out of town, and picked up on the way home). The story totally changed when we got into the store. He only gave me $3.15 , no dips and no pop. I will never be returning to this place again and would not recommend. You can get much better pizza especially for that price at pizza pizza or panago just down the street.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2920 N Power Rd Suite 103, Mesa

This is my new favorite pizza place. A pizza, made to order. You take it home and bake it. What’s so good about it it? It’s fresh, you get to choose what toppings go on it, what crust thickness and size. You can also decide whether or not to add cheese like I did, and if you do decide to skip the cheese like I did, you would replace it at home with fresh mozarella balls to make it more authentic! (Or to help somewhat with intolerance to yellow cheeses!) I ordered my veggie pizza and took it home. Baked it to perfection (by following the instructions they provide you with he pizza, along with a coupon for next time, yeah!) and had it for dinner with my husband. I used the fresh mozzarella which worked really well and was very delicious. The most convenient thing about this place is that the somewhat paper tray the pizza comes in can go into the oven! What! Who was the genius who thought of that?! I was worried the pizza won’t fit on my pizza stone at home but this solved the problem! It’s convenience at its best! The place is pretty popular. Within a minute of arriving at the store and just while parking and getting out of the car, 4 ppl were ahead of me! Wow! The family veggie pizza comes out to around $17. Not a bad deal for such a large delicious pizza! Definitely going back!

PATYS PIZZA – Menu with Prices – 412 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne

Paty’s is the great pizza joint we have always needed in Brevard! Since I moved from the New Haven, CT area to Florida, I’ve considered myself sort of a “lost soul” of pizza. It seemed to be mostly chains down here and even the mom and pop places had really thick crust and a disappointing product. I was in pizza purgatory. Well, I believe my prayers have finally been answered. Paty’s pizza is a home run. Super thin crust, amazing sauce, buffalo mozzarella and premium toppings. This is a pizza you’d find in Naples Italy. Their meatballs are also fantastic. This is a family-run place where a lot of love and care goes into every pie. The owners aren’t just going through the motions; they genuinely take care that you enjoy your food and your experience. How much did I love it? So much that I had lunch here and came back for dinner. Don’t judge me! ? It’s great pizza…come try it out.

Cugino Forno Pizzeria – Menu with Prices – 1160 Revolution Mill Dr, Greensboro

Local pizza isn’t getting any better than this. I’ve never had a pizza experience quite like this one. When you first step in you are greeted by a huge open space with big communal tables. Something I enjoy personally. They don’t have different pizza sizing which would normally be kind of bothersome but it’s the perfect size for 2 people. Considering the thinner crust and fresh toppings. Yes the pizza and the atmosphere are almost perfect, but let’s take a second to discuss the real star of the show here. The Italian fruit tarte. Forget everything you thought you knew about a fruit tarte no kiwi no strawberry’s and thankfully none of that weird chocolate layer you would normally find in a tarte. This is pure heaven, let me set the stage. Flakey buttery crust on the bottom, thick but also surprisingly light sweet whipped filling, finish it off with some beautiful concoction of slightly jellied sour berries and you’re in for a real treat. You dazzled me with your pizza but I’m staying for the deserts

Murphy’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 1928 N 45th St, Seattle

This place is the perfect place to unwind on a chilly, rainy Seattle day! The cup of beef stew was hearty enough for me, although I asked for a side of their brown bread on the recommendation of my friend (a local) and I’m so glad I did! It’s amazing bread! It comes with the bowl, but I knew I would never be able to finish that. . . My teenager had the meatloaf (and the bread) and ate every last bite! I sampled a bit and it was fantastic! My friend (the local) had her favorite – the shepherd’s pie – and let me sample it. While my mom’s is still better, this was very tasty! . . Of course all of this washed down so well with the first Smithwick’s I’ve had since visiting Ireland in 1993! It’s still delicious and tastes fantastic with everything we ordered. . . We missed out on the seats by the fireplace, but we had great service and left feeling quite stuffed! I’ll insist we go back next time I’m in Seattle!

Bistro Pizza – Menu with Prices – 55 S Gibson Rd #112, Henderson

Just moved out to Henderson, and was looking for a good pizza spot. This place seemed to have a lot of good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I called and ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, and was told a 45 minute wait. Okay, I get it, you guys are busy. I called back about twenty minutes later because I saw the yelp check-in offer for free garlic knots when you check-in. The guy on the phone was like “uhhhhhhhh are you using it with any other coupons?” And I said “No.” to which he replied, “yeah you can use it.” So yay free garlic knots…NOT. I get there and go to the register, one guy is staring at me while cutting pizzas, no acknowledgement, and the other guy definitely saw me as well. Not until an older guy came to the register to order did the second guy finally say, “be right with you both.” He finally came over, I told him my name, and he brought the pizza box over to ring it out. I told him that I had a check-in deal from yelp for garlic knots and he said “oh you have to order a large pizza with one topping to get it.” I wish the guy I spoke with on the phone told me this! I looked at the receipt after I left, and it said “free garlic knots” on it. Wow. Whatever, so I got home and tried it. It was the most meh pizza I’ve ever had. It was like cardboard. And I live five minutes from this place so it’s not like it got cold by the time I got home. I normally like the crust on pizza but this one was just so bad. Definitely will not be coming back. *sigh* I miss the pizza back in LA. Oh well, I guess I’ll be continuing my search for some good pizza in NV.

Hector’s Pizza & More – Menu with Prices – 12835 SW 42nd St, Miami

What’s the best thing for a hangover they said? PIZZA. Well not really… (oatmeal, bananas, honey are best and GATORADE!!) Anyways, so pizza, I always try to slide thru on a whim and try new places in the area. So my girl who is in hangover mode at home, says she wants pizza. I do my usual, Yelp for the nearest pizza spot and this place comes up with 3 reviews FRESH and no pic of store front (which I provided first for you guys), unless I didn’t then whatever. So I check out a few pics, looks good, I go on Grubhub, order and I get there at the appropriate pick up time and my food wasn’t made. Now I didn’t get upset because the lady who was helping me was super nice and apologized for my food not being made. Asked if I could wait 15 for the food, said I didn’t mind. While I was waiting she gave me a cup of water, and actually a small dessert on the house for their mistake. Alas, food was done, we said our goodbyes and off I go back home with pizza to the gf. My gf, the pizza connoisseur, tries and actually likes it. I eat my wings and they’re pretty good. Maybe the pizza could be a bit more crispy, it would’ve been on point. Definitely try it if you haven’t yet, doesn’t hurt to have another pizza spot in check just in case Papa Johns, Domimos, or Pizza Hut won’t hit the spot.

Number 12 Cider – Menu with Prices – 614 N 5th St, Minneapolis

This was my second visit here and I must say I came out liking the ciders a lot more than the first. I took my friend who is completely gluten free so it was the perfect place for us to meet up. We both enjoyed the ciders and then got a pizza from the truck outside. I had heard amazing things about this pizza from others and not only was it gluten free which I was hesitant on but it was GREAT. We got the margarita pizza and it was gluten free, it came out quick, fresh, warm, and very tasteful. The cider I had (can’t remember the name) was a lot better tasting than my first visit. I’m not a huge cider person (reasoning for the 4 stars and not 5) but this is a great stop to add on your list when hopping around the north loop. Would be a great first spot since they have a few drinks that are similar to a mimosa as well! Happy to see this place doing well – it is so adorable inside, makes me want to hang out there all day!

Zavarellas Pizza – Menu with Prices – 1937 Clements Ferry Rd Suite B, Charleston

I stopped by this place to see what their pizza was about since it’s fairly new and not to far up the street for me. I was great by the owner of the store once I came in. The owner and the employees at the store were very friendly. They even wanted me to come work there for them since they’re hiring and looking for people. If you get a tray, it’s quite a bit of pizza i for sure! One tray is 16 slices and the slices are of good size I’d say. I enjoyed the pizza when I got home to eat some of it. The sauce was different and tasty. The only problem I had with it was that I wished I had of it asked for it to be well done because it seemed like the pepperoni on the pizza could’ve been cooked a lil bit longer than they were. The whole entire thing last me almost 3 days too! Talk about having multiple meals out of 1 tray of pizzas. They have a lunch deal of 4 slices and a drink for $7. Pretty good deal I think. I’m definitely going to have to try that out one of days when I craving some pizza for lunch and don’t want to go to far.

Rye & Pie Pizza Bar – Menu with Prices – 404 Andrew Higgins Blvd, New Orleans

Yep, this is now my go to spot for pizza!! I’ve been looking for a good wood fire pizza. The service here is awesome. Staff makes you feel like home. We opt to sit at the bar to watch the saint game last Monday. Love their draft selection with a variety of local beers. The two bartenders took good care of us. The owner/chef also came out and talk to us for a bit. He mention that they use rye in their flour, which explain why the dough and pizza taste amazing overall. It had the perfect crisp around the crust. The marinara had a slight kick of spice to it and they did not skimp out on the pepperoni. We also order the meatball appetizer which was tasty also. Wish they had more appetizers to choose from though. However next time I will be back to try out their Caesar salad! I saw another table with it and it was a huge portion that looks so refreshing. The inside is pretty small with about 4 or 5 high top tables and the bar has about 10 stools. Their courtyard is pretty big and will be great to enjoy during the fall or cooler weather. The owner/chef said they will be installing a few tvs in the courtyard area and fans. During winter, they’ll have heaters. It is street parking but we didn’t have an issue on finding parking.

Milano Pizza – Menu with Prices – 510 S 10th St, San Jose

It’s a real bummer when a place tries so hard to be stereotypical that all the other places nearby make it boring. Cuz it should be common sense that making a pizza that the “average American” likes to eat should automatically get you the most people eating, right? No. Not around SJSU, where so many of the students are already bored from eating the same mix of toppings in grocery store pizza all their life. Chicken pizza: Good! 7 out of ten. More crispy than 7-Eleven pizza. Meat was fresh and salted, but not as flavored as 4th Street pizza. Not as mushy as Pizza My Heart. Hang-out vibe worse than Sammy G’s. $4.99 deal is cheaper than Dominos. Pizza in San Jose means Mexican pizza, Asian pizza, African pizza, Arabic pizza, Persian pizza, Peruvian pizza. Mac & Cheese pizza, cookie dough pizza, pretzel pizza, the choices are endless. So Boo! on the wimpy menu here – Wanna call a place Milano Pizza? Then bring on the stuff that makes Milan famous, like the saffron, basil, the polenta, veal, and heavy butter.
