All I can say is don’t. Wait til they can serve the quality of their corporate model. I have dined at other PFC’s all over the country & frequent the Dallas location regularly. I tried this location weeks ago & didn’t post a negative review to give them a break. Being newly opened I understand kinks & the need to adjust. Tried them again tonight & one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Placed a to go order, avocado egg rolls, pork dumplings, crispy Brussels sprouts & a side of white rice. Let me say first & foremost, an Asian restaurant that cant cook rice is a huge issue. How your cook would serve EXTREMELY soggy, mushy rice is terrible. They should probably be fired, that’s not a retraining thing. So soggy the grains of rice were barely distinguishable in the blob. It’s like an Italian restaurant that cant cook pasta. Not excusable. The dumplings were dry, pork meat was a hard rubbery ball & dough gave new meaning to chewy. Inedible along with the rice. The avocado rolls were a new thing to me, first time to try, as I love avocado. They were large & crisp but not warm. While I love avocado it doesn’t go well in an “spring roll”. The Brussels sprouts were good & on point with prior times at other locations. They were the only thing I ate & trashed the rest of my meal. When I called my order in, I was told 20 minutes. Arrived in 8-10 minutes & my order was sitting out on the counter, not under any heat lamp. All was cold by the time I got back to my very close home. The staff was very friendly & the restaurant is attractive. This doesn’t make up for $24 of terrible food. Beyond disappointing. By the looks of the Yelps, management is not monitoring the social media feedback. Because the Yelps are true & not one management response, more importantly no correction to the complaints. Inexcusable for a national level restaurant to not quality control their product or monitor social media.

Dragon Warrior Noodle – Menu with Prices – 800 N Main St #420, McAllen

Today temperature was in the high 30s and a hot soup sounded perfect. There was a line but plenty of seats available. We ordered at the bar and yes you need to get our own silverware, straws, and refills. They give you a number to place on the table much like whataburger. We order Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and 2 bowls. They took our number when they brought out the Brussels sprouts. Another 15 minutes goes by and we see everyone else getting food who sat down after us. We asked where our food was and it was very clear they had forgot about our food. Someone came by and said they are working on our food after 30 minutes of waiting. We waited patiently and 42 minutes later I finally get my dragon warrior bowl. I ordered chicken and they brought me pork. Did I eat it? Yes I was hungry and I couldn’t wait another 40 plus minutes for them to get it right. Was it good? Absolutely not a fan of the pork! The Brussels sprouts were flavorful and I did enjoy them. The soda options they have a good. Please be more courteous that people are stopping here on a lunch break.

Dumpling Darling – Menu with Prices – 212 E 3rd St, Des Moines

I took my two adult children to lunch here as weâ??ve been hearing good things. I ordered a side of fried Brussels sprouts with Korean BBQ sauce which was an adequate portion to be shared by 3 or 4 people. I also ordered a small size (5) Leslie Lamb steamed dumplings. The Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfect consistency and the sauce for me was just right- covered without being overbearing and diminishing the crunch. The dumplings were so delicious with great flavor. My daughter had the Hoisin Pork Bao (2 large sized) and the fried Mac and Cheese dumplings and loved both. My son had a side of edamame ( choices of spicy or sea salt) and the avocado crab Rangoon fried dumplings. He enjoyed the dumplings but did say for His preference the side sweet and sour sauce lacked much flavor( he likes spicy foods). Our meal was $33 minus tip. Great value as I took home a take out box with a meal of sides and 1 steamed dumpling leftover. The door to the restaurant is left open and there was a pesky fly that visited our table throughout the meal which was a tad annoying. Service was friendly yet I could have used a return visit during the meal for more water. (I didnâ??t ask and we were checked on after our food was delivered). We all found many options we could have ordered and based on our enjoyment of todayâ??s selections we wouldnâ??t have been disappointed.

Osaka Sushi – Menu with Prices – 3685 W Henrietta Rd, Rochester

This place used to be good. Now please just avoid it! 1. As a buffet restaurant, this place tries to fill you up with rice, noodle and water, not in a subtle way. I ordered avocado sushi with a smear of avocado, seafood ramen with tons of noodles and two tiny pieces of imitation crab, eel rolls with a paper thin eel on a giant rice ball, etc. They don’t want to sell good food. They are trying to make you feel full. 2. The service is terrible as well. I ordered tempura that I never got. When I tried to order some more, the server told me that I needed to finish the rice bowl. For god sake, I couldn’t finish the eel rice bowl because it’s just a full bowl of rice with two pieces of paper thin eels on it. At least let me order some other food to go with the rice! 3. The worst part is that the food tastes not fresh. The teriyaki eel has gone sour. Again, I left two pieces because I can’t force myself to eat stale food! Overall, I had a lettuce salad, two shrimps, four avocado rolls, eel rice bowl, seafood ramen, four eel rolls. I paid $16 and a stomachache later that day.

The Pub at 1802 – Menu with Prices – 1802 Spy Run Ave, Fort Wayne

The pub at 1802, we stop in almost every Wednesday for the last five weeks. Good drinks, good food, decent service. Tonight, what the hell happened? Started out joking with our server, Samantha, having a good time. Twenty minutes later, “oh, the bartender hasn’t gotten your drinks out yet.” Order food, thirty minutes later, forgot one of the sandwiches ordered. Brussels sprouts, burnt. My fish and fries were at best Luke warm. What the hell took so long to get. Server, “it’s the kitchens fault.” Okay, who forgot our silverware and to check in if we needed more drinks? Missing sandwich comes out maybe eight minutes later. Brussels sprouts go from a plate full to a cup full. No damage control. The manager, or the guy I think is the manager is doing shots at the table next to ours, never intervenes. Bills come, only one was correct, the others, had specials at regular prices. One was triple what it should have been. Finally, after very little bitching from our table, “hope you have a good rest of your night.” No apologies about anything, no comp for the missing reordered sandwich, no explanation on how the Brussels sprouts go from a full order to a cup full. The only thing I can say is we had six people, five cars in an otherwise empty parking lot, and that table and that parking lot will be empty next week and the next and the next. DISAPPOINTING!

Southern National – Menu with Prices – 360 Dauphin St, Mobile

Came to dinner here on the recommendation of a Yelp! friend and it was an absolute home run. What a great find in downtown Mobile. Started with the Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup – which was just DIVINE – and I don’t even use that word. I could eat a bowl, every day, forever. Following that was an order of biscuits and Johnnycakes – that was also wonderful. The biscuits were golden brown and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy and moist on the inside. You can’t make them better than that. Honestly – they were amazing. I also ordered a salad that I thought was supposed to be a mix of iceberg and Brussels Sprouts. What came out was delicious but – honestly – I did not see or taste the Brussels Sprouts at any point. My conclusion is that I was delivered just the lettuce wedge instead of the lettuce Brussels Sprouts mix. An honest mistake and given the quality of everything else – I’m not allowing that to change my rating. But I would still like to taste their Brussels Sprouts! Accompanying my meal was a Boulevardier and one of their signature drinks – the “Private Tour” – a rum based cocktail where the “rum” is actually a hand selected blend of about four different rums – including Ron Xacapa – that was like an entire rum flight in your mouth. Delicious. My server and bartender was Will who is a masterful maker of fine cocktails and a great conversation partner. Give that man a raise! At the end there was a little lagniappe – a coconut macaroon with lemon icing that was just tasty and just right. And free! Put this on your bucket list of must experience dining spots in Mobile…..

Yang’s Dumplings – Menu with Prices – 196 Quincy St, Boston

I order food for the workplace on the regular, and I have been trying to change it up lately. I didn’t know much about Yang’s Dumplings, but given that it was Chinese New Year earlier this week, I wanted dumplings bad and gave Yang’s a chance. I ordered ~300 dumplings for my colleagues, and they loved it! Many of them even asked for the restaurant afterwards. The dumplings are fresh and hot upon delivery, and they taste homemade. No surprise there, given that it’s a family business. Also, my brief interactions with them have all been very pleasant. For large parties, you can order the “Taste of Everything”, which consists of 200 steamed veggie, chicken, pork, and shrimp dumplings (50 each). There’s the “Plate of Everything Platter”, which has 420 dumplings, but if you have a smaller crowd, there’s the “Bite of Everything Platter”, which has 80 dumplings. (There are more options if you order through ezCater.com.) Delivery is prompt, punctual, and pretty cheap. Tl;dr – Switch up your catering with dumplings! Yang’s delivers in more ways than one.

Yummy Dumpling – Menu with Prices – 1708 Irving St, San Francisco

I stopped off here to try their dumplings. The frozen dumplings are about 50 cents each, sold in packages of about 18 for $8.50-$9. Chicken filling with either chives, Napa cabbage seem to be more expensive over pork fillings. You help yourself to the packages in the freezer and pay at the counter. They do accept credit cards. An instruction sheet near the register tells you how to cook either the dumplings, pancakes or Shanghai dumplings (Xiao Lung Bao). You boil water and toss in the frozen dumplings. After 10 mins, they are done. The pork with chives we tried are ok. A sign by the register that says it’s not a restaurant and their dumplings are served a block away at the Kingdom Dumplings restaurant. Parking can be a challenge even with metered street. Came back for more packages of the dumplings in the freezer on another visit and grabbed a bag of lamb and vegt this time to try. The English speaking young lady at the counter was much more pleasant than the male at the last visit. She told me they make about 1000 dumplings a day with 5 dumpling cooks busy filing and folding on the nearby tables. One is rolling out the wheat pastry discs for the filling. The young lady said she can make 200-300 a day. Nimble hands. I bought a bottle of the black vinegar for $2.50 only to find out later that further down the street at Sunset Supermarket, the exact same bottle is available for about a dollar less! This place also sells a bottle of pre-mixed vinegar with soy sauce. You can probably get it for less at Asian markets. The dumplings are what you should buy here.

Zuma Sushi & Sake Bar Menu with Prices 701 Highland Ave NE, Atlanta

Zuma aka Umai now. Umai still has the same owners , the just recently changed there name and plans to change their menu soon. I wonder why they are changing their name??? Nevertheless I have known Zuma aka Umai now to have pretty ok sushi for a late night craving. However I disagree now. The quality of the fish and other fresh ingredients is no longer present. Umai has seen to take a cheaper route in purchasing their food to prepare items on the menu. My order consist of : Spicy scallop roll: I never had a spicy scallop roll with avocado in it. The Avocado does not pair with the taste of a raw scallop along with the avocado being too ripe and extremely mushy. Shrimp tempura roll : frozen tempura rolled that is already fried and all you have to do is flash fry it again to put in the tempura roll, however this already pre-cooked roll was Extremely salty. Spring rolls (x5) – frozen precooked spring rolls that requires flash frying as well. However the ingredients inside the roll was extremely mushy. Pork Ramen- pork ramen is suppose to consist of a RICH pork broth . The taste of the ramen was bland like Ramen pork noodles in a package from Walmart on top of eating a boiled egg in the broth that has been sitting for days apparently causing my stomach to be upset later this evening . (Look at this egg in my photo) Last the wait time to recieve my shrimp tempura roll was extremely long. The waiter states the kitchen was backed up but there were only 2 people in the restaurant (myself and another guest). All the waiting staff seemed to be in their own world with carefree service towards their patrons. Overall my food and experience was terrible and I will not nor will I reccomend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money. I spent $42.00 on what? ??? ….A bunch of old / frozen food.

Mr Dumpling – Menu with Prices – 9319 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

I’ve been coming here since it’s opening. It has been my go to spot for dumplings. I like the selection and price. So I come for a normal visit and put my regular order in: cucumber, fried rice, steamed dumplings, and pan fried dumplings. Order goes as usual. Out comes fast: cucumber, fried rice, and steamed dumplings. Then it goes down hill. We proceed to wait 15 minutes watching mama dumpling slang her hand made dumplings, business as usual… Cool. Another customer comes in, orders two soups and order of pan fried dumplings. How do I know you ask? I watch all this come out and I’m left empty handed with no pan fried dumplings. I shoot a look at the customers that came after me, then to the waiter and say it with my face…dafaq?! He looks at me, then the others customers receipt, then my receipt. Walks over and says so sorry the chef over cooked your pan fried dumplings, would you like to wait? If you can’t figure it out, waiter screwed up the order then proceeded to BS his way out of it. Own your mistakes buddy you’ll get more respect out of life. Bottom line, take home… Food is good, service is hollow…Typical good Asian eats. 2 stars to draw you in to read my rant, cheers!

Sushi Neato – Menu with Prices – 2944 s Mason rd #o,p, Katy

This place is my favorite sushi place this side of Houston, hands down. I love the atmosphere and it is always clean with prompt waitstaff. The first time I visited, I absolutely fell in love with their avocado fries. I know, it isn’t something you see at sushi places. But the seasoning, the crunch, and the creaminess the avocado lends to the texture is addictive. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been that well seasoned since, but they do care… Today we were asked if the fried rice was to our liking because they had a new cook in the kitchen today. It is nice to see they care about quality, so I did tell them although I haven’t had their fried rice enough to know if it’s the SAME, I could at least tell him it was to my liking. They usually have uni, which isn’t everywhere, and they have cheeky names for their curated rolls. I like the Ryan roll but my boyfriend enjoys the sashimi and uni, because he’s a purist while I am all about texture. This place is good. If I could give it a 4.5 I would, but a 5 will suffice considering it’s my favorite place in town so far and I hope their rating stays high, because it is deserved. I just wish the waitstaff could be a bit more personable and the food a bit more consistent.

Joojak Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3337 Kingsway, Vancouver

It’s been a year or two since my first visit to Joojak Restaurant. Been back twice recently. They’re a Northern Chinese hole in the wall spot right next door to Sushi Aji. The inside is small with only 5 tables but service is sweet and run by two ladies who run the front. Nice that they bring you out water and hot tea. The menu is split into Xian specialties, noodle soups, boiled/fried dumplings, wonton soup, soup, vegetables, main dishes, congee and special combos. Trip #1 We dropped in on a Tuesday evening (around 7:00pm) and it was busy. – Xian pork burger (#1) ($5.50) – pork was moist and tender. Dip in vinegar sauce for some extra flavour. – Xian lamb burger (#2) ($5.95) – lamb had a decent cumin rub on it. – Xian cold noodle (#3) ($8.50) – with gluten, bean sprouts and sliced cucumbers. This is legit! Love the springy bite from the noodles. Everyone had a bowl of li piang on their table. – Beef & noodle soup (#10) ($9.95) – broth is plain and simple. Beef slices were thin and tasty. – Dumplings in spicy sour soup (#23) ($11.99) – you choose from four different dumplings; we opted for the pork and chive. You get a dozen dumplings with a solid meat to skin ratio. The wrapper was excellent, broth was well balanced and seaweed was a welcome addition. – Steamed chicken with chili sauce (#36) ($10.99) – this is their best (aka. signature) dish. The chicken is incredibly tender, moist and flavourful. Love the sauce underneath. There’s even bits of pickled vegetable. Wish they gave you a bowl of rice to soak up all the sauce. Trip #2 We dropped in on a Saturday (around noon) and were the only ones there. – Xian pork burger (#1)( $5.50) – our friends ordered one to share. – Green onion pancake (#9) ($4.50) – it’s cut into 8 pieces. A little small but tasty. – Xian cold noodle (#4) ($8.95) – this one is with gluten, sliced cucumbers, bean sprouts and sesame paste. Solid. – Hand pulled noodle with hot chili oil (#13) ($8.95) – first time trying their Biang Biang noodles; good bite but there weren’t a ton of noodles. – Boiled dumpling with pork & bok choy (#19) ($9.95 for 12) – we opted for ours to be boiled. Dumplings are homemade and the pork filling is excellent. – Steamed chicken with chili sauce (#36) ($10.99) – always a must order. Their chicken still reigns supreme. Another solid Northern Chinese spot. Will be back to try their larger main dishes next time.

Pho Binh Minh Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 819 Sargent Ave, Winnipeg

Lovely new Vietnamese restaurant on Sargent! It’s a rather large restaurant that’s has a very bright, simple yet pretty decor in a very clean space. This place is where the former “Martini’s” Italian restaurant use to be (years ago) which has it’s own little parking space. P2 – rare beef pho (large $8.50) – there could have been more slices of beef but overall it was a good pho. The broth was lighter and leaned to a slight sweetness with a tinge bit more oil than I normally like but it was still good. The noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted great with the small dish of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime and real bird’s eye chili. The ice coffee here is super strong and delicious – I highly recommend if you like stronger coffee! The best dishes here has to be their vermicelli bowl or “bun” and the “banh xeo”. V27 deluxe vermicelli bowl ($9.75) has grilled pork, spring rolls, grilled pork meatballs with veggies/herbs and vermicelli noodles. The vermicelli is served warm (which is a subtle thing many Viet places don’t do) which really adds to all the flavour once you pour on the fish sauce. The grilled pork is nicely seasoned and everything mixes really well in this dish. The banh xeo sort of looks like an omlette but it’s really more like a crispy savoury crepe/pancake. It’s made of rice flour, water, turmeric (which gives it that yellow colour) and it’s filled with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. You eat it with lettuce and dip it into the fish sauce. I don’t normally order banh xeo as they always taste soggy but this one is super crispy and has lots of great flavour! Definitely give this one a try. Good as a shared appy or a light meal. Overall, great place with good prices and the service is very friendly!
