It appears to be an unassuming pho restaurant in the Saigon Asian shopping center. There is access from outside the mall as well as from inside. I like this restaurant because of the fresh noodles (made in house) and flavorful broth. I’ve been here a few times and tried a few things, and I can say that you need to stick to ordering the pho here. My daughter had the chicken pho and said it was super delicious-lots of chicken and noodles along with an excellent broth. My son ordered a pho dac biet and really enjoyed it-lots of meat and noodles. They come in 3 sizes. If you have a regular appetite, the small is really all you need. That’s what I order. The large is if you are super hungry-it’s a giant bowl. Pros: clear flavorful broth that is not too oily, fast service Cons: anything that’s not pho. Inconsistent in quality of dishes-a couple times the spring rolls had hard noodles in it. Also, not a fan of the preboiled bean sprouts. Tip: don’t come late because they do run out of fresh noodles. We came within an hour of closing one time, and they were out.

Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai – Costa Mesa – Menu with Prices – 891 Baker St B21, Costa Mesa

Kitakata is a popular restaurant that is slowly expanding its locations throughout SoCal, and for a good reason! My friend, Bae, and I got dinner here together at 6 PM Saturday. There was no wait-time, but a line quickly formed behind us. It’s typical that wait-times can go up to an hour, so be sure to check-in Yelp’s waitlist to get in line! There’s limited parking here; there’s a parking lot in front and behind, but it’s extremely small for the amount of popular businesses here. I don’t see a lot of street parking around. I got the Tsukemen with cold noodles; it’s a style of Japanese noodles where you dip the noodles into a concentrated broth. It’s more lukewarm than cold, and the flavors are really strong, so don’t worry about this being too strange of an experience. After having these noodles, I gotta say that I LOVE them. The noodles look and feel fresh; they have that nicely home-made look, but with the professional consistency in thickness and length. They were springy and the right amount of chewiness, so they definitely have it mastered. It wasn’t too cold despite how cold noodles sound. The broth was also light, but surprisingly flavorful. It uses a dashi stock mixed in with some other key ingredients like soy sauce. It has bean sprouts, which wonderfully soak up the broth. There’s an optional lime that you can squeeze in if you would like to add more citrus. I barely used it, but I think it’s great that they provide the option. It adheres well to the noodles and the broth was so good I wanted to take a sip! (Disclaimer: it’s actually that flavorful, so maybe don’t do it!) You only get 5 pieces of char siu, but it’s super delicious. I liked the noodles and broth enough where I didn’t think too much about the amount of char siu they give you. The service was decent. They refilled our waters when we asked and took our orders efficiently.

Yumi Asian (on APB) – Menu with Prices – 425 Avalon Park S Blvd #200, Orlando

Four stars for great service, really good food made with fresh ingredients with layers of flavor. This new Asian place opened in my community! It is located right next to Chase Bank. There is parking available right in front. The restaurant is decorated with giant Asian murals that are beautiful. There is table service, I believe there are at least 8 tables and a sushi bar with stools. Greeted nicely, patiently answered all my questions, specifically about the difference between lo mein and udon noodles, she explained it’sthe noodles, lo mein noodles are more sticky & udon are bigger. I also asked about a dish I saw on the Yelp page, she said it was Mandarin chicken, I will be back for that. My takeout order: Sesame chicken with plain fried rice Chicken Udon Noodles Beef Lo Mein We were sceptical because we are accustomed to darker noodles, but let me tell you, they are terrific. The Udon Noodles are bigger, rounder then lo mein, they must be making them fresh, because they are light and They noodles had mushrooms, bean sprouts, chicken and eggs! The sauce was layered, flavorful, tasty. The Beef Lo Mein noodles, although, paler than what we are accustomed to, were fresh, had a savory/sweet flavors and the beef was tender and delicious. The sesame chicken, yummy, lightly breaded, light sprinkle of sesame seeds, tasty and fried rice, light and flavorful. I will definitely try this place again, this time eating in the restaurant.

Chao Bay Vietnamese Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 6829 Stockton Blvd #399, Sacramento

One of the BEST Vietnamese Restaurant in Sac Area!!! The taste is AUTHETIC, overall it’s 8/10 compared to Vietnamese food in Vietnam. So I have tried their Pho, Bun Dau Mam Tom, Bun Moc, and Bun Rieu Cua so far: 1. Pho (8/10) – the broth is actually pretty good. If you like Northern Vietnamese Pho, this is a place for you! If you like Southern Vietnamese Pho, I recommend Ha Noi Pho Restaurant. But my recommend is you should try both lol. And Chao Bay also has “Nuoc Beo” if you ask for it. For those of you who dont know, this “Nuoc Beo” is an oily broth that make the Pho broth more rich and flavorful. It usually comes with a small separated bowl, so you can mix and adjust the broth to your taste. One of the minus point is their noodle, they serve it with a regular noodle that is used in most of the Pho’s restaurant in the U.S. (Ha Noi Pho actually has fresh noodle for additional 50 cents and it’s really good). If Chao Bay has fresh noodle, I gonna give it 10/10 because it will taste exactly the same Northern Pho in Vietnam. 2. Bun Dau Mam Tom (8.5/10) – Pros: they served with hot vermicelli, a lot of different kinds of veggies, and really cheap for that price. Definitely a MUST TRY! Cons: Cha Ca isn’t really good. It’s not chewy like it supposed to be. And the Mam Tom is not as good as I expect. It’s a little bit sweet for me and I love a thick Mam Tom’s smell, but their Mam Tom’s smell is so light (since it has been diluted too much). However, I completely understand why they need to dilute it. Since not everyone can stand Mam Tom’s smell and most of American people dont like that smell. They make it good enough for even people who try it first time can still eat and like it. So my rating is just my personal preferance and comparing w/ Bun Dau Mam Tom in Vietnam, so I know it’s harsh . 3. Bun Moc (6.5/10) – the reason I give it low rating because its broth tastes like Hu Tieu’s broth, not Bun Moc’s broth. Overall, it’s still a good one. But because the broth doesn’t taste like what it’s supposed to. So basically it loses its authenticity. 4. Bun Rieu Cua (7.5/10) – overall it’s good. But the broth is not rich and flavorful as I expected. And the Rieu Cua taste like Cha. Since I was born in Vietnam and lived there for 20 years. I’m really familiar with Vietnamese food, so that’s why I’m so picky and my ratings are harsh. But don’t get me wrong, if I crave for Vietnamese food (especially Northern Vietnamese food cuz they offer a lot of food that most of the restaurants in Sac area dont have), I definitely go here! I just want to give everyone a closer look to what you can expect from this restaurant.

Kasai Ramen – Menu with Prices – 218 Walton St, Syracuse

I visited Kasai Ramen for lunch on a Saturday a few months after the restaurant first opened. I ordered the vegetable ramen, and the spicy miso and citrus tofu as add-ins. The soup was bountiful and flavorful. Fast forward to lunch on a Monday in April 2019â?¦ I ordered the same soup with the same add-ins but replaced the noodles with rice noodles. The broth was flavorless and fattyâ??it tasted like gravy master and water, and there was about one-eighth inch of oil swimming on top of the broth. I wonder if the vegetables and citrus tofu were grilled in a lot of oil, before being added to the broth. Also, there were barely any rice noodles. My friend said the steam bun with chicken she ordered was good. But I think she was being polite about the ramen (because I had raved about the restaurant). She ordered the pork ramen and after she started eating it, she ordered a flavor shot and then didnâ??t finish the soup. On this visit, we also ordered the fingerling potatoes with kimchi for an appetizer, which were flavorful, but the potatoes tasted a little overcooked and slightly cloying. The service was pretty good for a slow Monday lunch, but the server completely forgot my drink order, and I did push it. I will not be returning to Kasai Ramen.

Ichigoh Ramen Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2724 Commerce St, Dallas

This is a pretty decent ramen place! They have a different take on ramen compared to other places in Dallas since Ichigoh has a chicken broth and soupless ramen options. Kisetsu no kinoko butter: 5/5 really unique flavors and wonderful taste with the sauce complementing the mushrooms Spicy Soboro Shoyu: 2/5 it wasn’t spicy at all, which was disappointing. It might be a little spicy for those with a more sensitive taste, but I didn’t even taste a small kick. It seemed really oily, the noodles were very mediocre, and the meat wasn’t particularly noteworthy. I wouldn’t get it again. Niboshi shoyu: 3/5 decent broth, noodles were average. Not great but not bad Yuzu shio: 4/5 this broth was very light and refreshing. This was definitely my favorite out of the ramens! I personally prefer pork over chicken, but the broth in this was much better than the ramen with pork. It’s quite a unique flavor! I think if I came here again, I would want to try the soupless ramen. I still would prefer wabi house or other ramen places in Dallas first though. But it’s a godspot if you’re looking for a place in Deep Ellum! The service here is very attentive, and there’s a nice ambiance here. One thing is that the big sign still says tanoshii ramen, but just know that you’re at the right place for Ichigoh!

Khai Hoan Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1537 E Apache Blvd, Tempe

This has to be the best service we have ever received. They were super busy on a Saturday evening and still they were on it. We had lots of questions since it was our first time here, but they happily answered and made great suggestions. I always base my review of a Vietnamese restaurant on my three favorite Vietnamese foods. Spring rolls, pho, and Bún tht nng. They nailed everyone! Everything was really good and authentic, you will not be disappointed. The pho was not lacking in meat either, the broth was flavorful and full of noodles. My two daughters shared it and they still had lots of leftovers for me to try. I did try to order Bún bò Hu for the kids who love spicy food, but the waiter told me that it’s made with pork blood and heart (but can be made without it). A bit differently then I’ve had at other places. I’ll definitely be ordering that for myself when I go back again. I appreciated him giving me the heads up. My husband was sad that they didn’t have Bánh mì, but their menu is definitely not lacking. They even have a Chinese food menu for those in your party who prefer that. It’s only a 13 menu drive to the zoo and botanical garden for those looking for a meal close like we were.

Misako Asian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 4701 Shore Dr #113, Virginia Beach

First visit since Misako moved to Shore Dr. I had extremely high expectations based on the reviews, history from previous location & was really looking forward to this visit. I don’t think I chose my dishes wisely. We started with appetizers: * Gyoza – Thin wrapper possibly pre-made. Meat was proportioned. Flavor was acceptable for the quantity, cost, and it being an appetizer. * Calamari – HUGE pieces of squid tail and tentacles were falling out of thick tempura batter. Dish was mostly batter with huge hidden chunks of squid. Least favorite dish. Main entrees: * Szechuan Spicy Beef Ramen – broth was delicious, flavorful, and had the perfect spiciness. My favorite dish so far. Beef was tender. Noodles were rice noodles, not egg noodles. I prefer egg noodles. There were way too many noodles. If I could’ve ordered only the broth, I would have. * Chicken Teriyaki – no sauce. Bland piece of chicken breast, a scoop of rice, and bok choy. Glad I tried. Maybe I’ll try again another day.

Chicken Hero Kho Ga Menu with Prices 918 S Magnolia Ave, Anaheim

Saw this place pop up in yelp and came here to try itself. Restaurant was clean and big. It’s located in a small plaza. Service overall was awesome. We didnt have to wait that long for our food. We ordered the banh bot loc and the pho ga dac biet/special pho ga. The banh bot loc was good! It was the right amount of batter ratio to the shrimp. The star of the menu is the pho though. I really liked it! The broth tasted like homemade pho broth – subtlely sweet like it’s been cooking for hours and really really flavorful. The chicken tasted like ga di bo/walking chicken – nice and chewy texture not mushy at all. The noodles were cooked perfectly too! The portion for the 7.99 price was huuuge!! They also gave us a sample of their chicken jerky and it was really good and unique! Slightly sweet, tangy, and spicy! We ended up buying a large bag. I will definitely be back!

Pho Nhu Y Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 864 3rd Ave, Chula Vista

A solid establishment! I only tried two things, the house special bahn mi and the beef broth… both were on point. Pros? First Vietnamese I’ve had that tasted authentic since my friend from Vietnam cooked for me The bahn mi pate and ingredient flavors were just right Bread is fresh baked from next door Staff is really friendly Staff was also very attentive to detail, turning the volume up on the tv when I was watching, super thoroughly cleaning the tables when folks left, etc… definitely care about their customers! Price was extremely reasonable I didn’t have the pho but I judge pho mostly on the broth and their broth is delicious! Didn’t have a drink either but it was soooo good to see that they weren’t priced affordably Cons? It’s super small so either get to go or plan ahead if you have a large group

PAVOäº?ç?? Menu with Prices 14220 NE 20th St Suite A&B, Bellevue

I don’t necessarily regret coming here since it was a nice change from my traditional dining experience, which mostly consists of sushi, Korean, thai, and steakhouses. I have also gone to many hot pot places and other ramen noodles restaurants, which I usual love. I guess the problem with PAVO is that the menu and ingredients were maybe too traditional for my palate. Here’s a breakdown of what i ordered and my honest feedback about the whole experience : -spicy beef: I can handle spicy but these were just doused in red chili flakes, which would have been passable if it wasn’t for the rough and and really dry texture of the meat which had this really unappealing flavor to it, that, without being too stereotypical, I can only describe as “oriental-tasting”. My wife was with me and she is Thai and she is fond of cooking and eating authentic food from her homeland that I can only describe as ‘stinky food’, but she also did not like the spicy beef dish. -crispy pork: This really tasted more like chicken to me. Very dry, flavorless, and a bit too oily. Absolutely no seasoning, something I think I would get at 2am from Jack ‘n the Box’s eclectic menu. -cucumber salad: I kinda liked this salad and so did my wife. Her only complaint and I agree with it was that it was too oily. I mean it was a dish filled to the brim with msg-like flavored soup and cucumber bits. Again, it was good but probably will skyrocket your sodium intake, which is weird given that it is a cucumber salad. The main soup dish (I forgot the name): was a fancy display with a do-it-yourself setup. Wife kinda of enjoyed it but ultimately said the flavor was underwhelming and broth was very oily. Braised beef noodles: braised beef itself was actually quite good. But the broth was underwhelming and noodles rather tasteless and not fresh-like. Service: took a while to get serviced, however, food came out fast, check-out was at the counter which was fast. No water refills offered and our waitress was also the front check-in hostess and was kinda of running around doing everything (granted it was a busy Sunday evening). Ambience: location was good, plentiful parking, clean restaurant, and I really liked the modern Seattle, East-meets-West themed decor. FYI, there’s a Happy Lemon about 2 blocks away that wasn’t busy at all.

Mian Noodle House – Menu with Prices – 1005 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg

I was really craving some GOOD ramen yesterday….just moved to Fxbrg from Richmond (lots of options for good noodles there – favorite being Foo Dog). Back to the point – Mian is cute on the inside, cool menu concept too. However, our to-go food was *so* underwhelming. I had the curry broth ramen with pork belly. The broth flavor was decent as were the noodles…but the meat was meh, as were the rest of the ingredients. They should throw some interesting veggies in there for a $13 bowl (I was told I could only choose one veg?) We also ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl which was just awful…the meat was creepy and the whole thing was very boring. Unimpressed.

Paik’s Noodles – Menu with Prices – 28124 Newhall Ranch Rd, Santa Clarita

This is a review for lunch to-go order on a cold weekday! What I ordered: Beef Jjamppongbap (no spice) Food: The broth was flavorful and PERFECT for a cold and rainy weather. I ended up slurping the soup after I finished eating the noodles and toppings! As what others noted, it has a peppery taste which might not be for everyone. But works for me!! The actual bowl was full of vegetables, beef, and a couple of shrimps. You would get a good amount for each mouthful of noodle and soup! Price: $ CHEAP for the quality and quantity! Parking: It always has ample parking. This is located inside the plaza. Service: For the TO-GO experience only! I like the fact that they didn’t forget the necessities that comes with the order such as utensils and napkins. Plus points for me! Just like ordering a bowl of noodle soup, the broth and noodles/toppings are separated. The noodles I got wasn’t sticking and the veggies seem fresh and not too wilted. However, I would suggest for a bigger bowl for the broth. I had to slurp the soup before putting in the noodles because the bowl was a little shallow to put everything in. It’d be a mess if I just drop all the contents in!! Not to mention it was also hard to mix it in since the to-go bowl is small. WILL COME BACK!!! I will probably order Jajangmyeon during summer time and get the beef soup for winter/cold days. So many items on the menu I’d love to explore!
