My fiancé and I tried Nick’s last night on a whim. I was very surprised by some of the other reviews on here because they did not match our experience at all. I rarely write reviews but felt they definitely deserved a good one. Nick’s is a little hole in the wall, mom and pop type restaurant. We went in on a Saturday night and there was no wait. Our waitress (I’m guessing she was Pam?!) was friendly, welcoming, and personable to the extent that you might wish she was your grandma. She checked on us often and made sure our food was great. We both ordered the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. It reminded me of a home-cooked meal. We ordered the clams and cheesy bread as well. Both were amazing! If you’re looking for a boujee place in Bellevue to socialize with your friends or get dressed up for, this is definitely not it. If you’re looking for a cute little place to frequent for casual dinners, you’ve found it!

Micaela Peruvian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 7613 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood

Micaela came up with great reviews on Yelp as I was driving around aimlessly in Davie looking for something good to eat on a Friday night. I’ll be honest, it’s not located in a fancy area.. at all. In fact, I was a little nervous pulling into the plaza. However, as soon as we were greeted (after two steps?), I felted invited. There are alot of TVs inside. With the bar and music, it felt like we were walking into a party. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the service and food was. We ordered the Causa con Camarones to start. It was huge. Generous portion of shrimp and mash. Didn’t care for the olives much, but that is a personal preference. I ordered the Green spaghetti with beef for my dinner and it was also massive. The beef was cooked just right, tender and flavorful. I’ve ordered green pasta at other Peruvian restaurants before, but this is the first time I’ve seen it actually looking like a plate of spaghetti with alot of sauce on it just like spaghetti sauce and a little bit of cheese. Other ones I’ve tried, had just enough sauce to coat the pasta green. Personal preference, but I have to say I enjoyed it this way. My date had the Tacu Tacu Lomo Saltado and he enjoyed it alot. The dinner tasted like a home cooked meal. I will be back.

Paya Thai Fish & Chips – Menu with Prices – 430 E 25th St #19, Tacoma

I was looking for lunch and the boyfriend suggested spaghetti. I saw it was a fish & chip shop and I was thinking “should I trust them to make spaghetti?” Curiosity got the best of me and I was ordering spaghetti, saw the price $14.95 and thought “seems a little high but no judging until I see it.” Then the bag came out full. There were noodles with a little sauce, a tub of sauce, a tub of meatballs in sauce, and bread and the gentleman gave me the tutorial on how to build it. We ate what we could and we could’ve had another sharing with us with all we had leftover. They don’t tell you that $15 spaghetti plate can feed 3-4! Very good value and it tasted very good! Staff was very friendly! I’ll order it again when they have that special!

Angelina’s Kitchen Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar – Menu with Prices – 2170 Eagle Creek Ln, St Paul

Food: My boyfriend and I were high key BLOWN AWAY by this restaurant. We’d never been here before and stumbled in last night in the mood for Italian. We started with the Veggie Dip and a Caesar salad. The veggie dip was very tasty and it’s exactly what it sounds like: vegetables in a creamy base. It’s not all mashed up into a creamy dip like a typical Spinach Artichoke Dip, rather chunks of veggies that have been marinated in a cheesy soup. So if you’re looking for a typical “dip”, this isn’t it. It’s more like veggie bruschetta. For the entree, we split the Spaghetti Bolognese and the Penne Alla Vodka with Chicken. Both were very subtle in their taste in typical Sicilian fashion, but both were also incredible. The Spaghetti Bolognese was authentic and hearty and the Penne Alla Vodka was creamy and light (a combination that normally doesn’t come together). My boyfriend said the food felt like he was back in Italy! Venue: I never would’ve expected this little restaurant in Woodbury to be as delicious as it was. There was a small patio, indoor restaurant seating and a little dessert counter. They also had live music inside which was a nice treat. I am so impressed by this place and I will definitely be back to try more!

Santasiero’s Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1329 Niagara St, Buffalo

Delicious! I’ve been hearing about this place for a long time & finally got a chance to try it! I knew I wouldn’t be near a fridge for awhile, no way to store left overs, so I ordered small/side portions. I ordered a side salad with side of spaghetti & mushroom sauce, with one meatball. Sliced, fresh Italian bread was served with the meal. My friend had a full order of spaghetti & sauce with sausage (link). As a side we got the garlic bread with cheese. The garlic bread with cheese was delicious, but daunting to eat because it was so large. Wait staff was friendly. They don’t really seem to have standard menus…you have to look at the wall to see the selections. I have poor vision, so I didn’t care for this aspect. Overall, was good experience & I would go back. Oh, one more thing, I’d recommend sitting in front dining room. The sewer gas issue in this part of Buffalo was evident in the back part of their building.

Foley & Son Fish and Chips – Menu with Prices – 274 Plantation St, Worcester

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been here. I have been craving scallops and clams so my boyfriend and I were cheating on MY diet and ordered scallops and whole belly clams. Spent over $40 ( cash only) and it was inedible. The seafood was a blackish grey in color and it was cooked twice, soooo over cooked. the fries were from the bottom of the bag (bits and pieces) and the coleslaw was 69.5 degrees (danger zone) tartar sauce was exactly the size of a thimble. We ordered extra for $.60 each. I didn’t temp that, But my guess would be it’s not 40′ that all cold food should be served. I’m hoping nobody gets sick and I suggest DO NOT GO, DO NOT EAT HERE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I did call them just to let them know what they served me and couldn’t believe they would allow that to be sold.. no pride in cooking there

Mamma Lucia – Menu with Prices – 431 Eastwood Rd, Wilmington

This is a 3.5 actually. This is the second time I have tried to dine here. My family and I had reservations for Christmas Eve and when we got there we were not greeted for 20 minutes, then told they were on a limited menu and to drink a lot of wine cause it would take awhile for food. Being that my parent don’t drink and we were not told it was a limited menu when I made a reservation we decided to leave. I wanted to give it another shot because I have heard great reviews about the food. Tonight I made a reservation for 2 for 530. I ordered a glass of wine and had to ask almost 15 minutes later where it was from a different server. The bread was very average but the oil and vinegar were good. When the wine arrived it was delish and I was impressed with their wine menu. We ordered a small house salad which is served a la carts for meals for $4.00. It was absolutely delicious with the homemade vinegaraitte. We had to ask for salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese twice. The food came out and my mom had the lasagna and I had the spaghetti with shrimp in a spicy red sauce. I substituted the spaghetti for fettuccine. We had asked for more bread while we had the salads. The bread did not arrive til we were almost finished with our meals. This time it tasted different and their was no oil and bright with it. I have to say that’s the lasagna was hands down one of the best lasagnas I have ever had. It was $15.00 (priced respectfully) and was a perfect sauce, cheese, and meat mixture. My meal was also very good but the lasagna is definitely the better choice. The shrimp were very good in my meal. I asked one of the waitresses of the pasta was homemade and she said she thought some were. It is a cute atmosphere and made me feel like I was in an authentic place. I would go back for the food. The server was very nice and did say they were short staffed. However, these details are what gave it a 3.5.

Order Sons of Italy In America – Menu with Prices – 4701 Fritchey St, Harrisburg

I’ve been a regular take out customer of sons of italy since they took over cantones. Well apparently its, again under new, management…they are no longer using mrs. Cantones spaghetti sauce recipe. The food sucks…we ordered our normal spaghetti which was bar far no where near the old recipe. We also ordered a chz, steak sub. Which was sent with no cheese. Barely any steak. All in all…I went there because they served authentic Italian spaghetti sauce. Back to sorry olive garden I go. Cause that sauce came from a jar this visit. .qhen I complained and asked for a,number to contact owner…was, told it’s under new mgmt.and recipes, are not same…no number given. A very sad and unhappy customer

Zeins Pizza, Subs, Mediterranean, and Wings – Menu with Prices – 2091 N Highland Ave, Clearwater

Ordered here for the first time late on a Saturday night. I got the chicken kabab, normally served with rice. Unfortunately they were out of rice and had to replace it with spaghetti instead. The chicken was very good, decent amount per kabab (you get 2). The sauce they give you on the side as well as this sort of “ceviche” style tomato and onion salad was pretty good as well. However the spaghetti was not very good at all. Tasteless, good amount, but just very bland and unsatisfying. Had to drown in in parmesan cheese (that I had at my house luckily since none was provided) just to get it down. I would probably give this meal another try, but only if the rice is available. I will definitely not be ordering any type of pasta dish from here. Curious about the pizza though so I might give that a try as well. This meal comes in right around $13, pretty standard pricing for this type of meal in my opinion

Pizza cubana Asere Batidos – Menu with Prices – 3783 E 4th Ave, Hialeah

First and last time i order from here! Definitely cuban style pizza and spaghetti but wow.. I can open up a can off Chef Boyardee and it would taste better. The spaghetti so bland, and it was cheese melted in the middle of the plate and the sauce, it tasted like Hunts tomato sauce!!!! the pizza.. let’s not even start. ” You get what you pay for ” applies. I have no pictures because i had to throw both out, i didn’t get through half of the pizza nor the spaghetti.

Naples Pizza & Pasta – Menu with Prices – 3211 N Glassell St, Orange

My son’s coach lives very near here and he had a dinner for the varsity team so I decided to try out the adjoining Mexican restaurant. But I was also in the mood for Spaghetti. Was looking at the photos of the Mexican food and most of it wasn’t appealing so I decided to enter the Italian side. The manager or owner was bringing in stock from his car. Very nice man. Though my mindset was on Spaghetti, I also ordered a personal Pepperoni Pizza as well. Then I asked to use the restroom. You have to go through the kitchen to use it. It is a little run down and there were no paper towels to wipe my hands. Okay about the food. The pizza was very greasy but that’s what napkins are for, to soak up the grease. I love that the thin pepperoni edges were slightly burnt. Just the way I like it. It tasted decent. I’ve tasted better, and worse. I’d order it again or a larger one. The Spaghetti was okay as well. Again, I’ve tasted better and worse. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, but decent tasting. You get Garlic bread with your pasta. The bread was thin and a little hard for my liking. It tasted okay as well. I dipped my bread in my Spaghetti sauce to soften it up. Okay the real negative review about this place: What I hate about most traditional Mexican owned restaurants is the canned soda. This is America Jack and we give refills!!! I ate enough food just to drink my can of coke and decided to take home what was left. I asked for 2 boxes, one for the the Spaghetti and one for the Pizza and left over Garlic bread. The gentleman gave me only one box so I used a mess-load of napkins to keep the sauce from soaking into the pizza. The ambiance…Mexican music in the background and one TV playing Mexican news with no sound. I forgot the name of the show but they show outrageous stuff like people getting shot or people getting stabbed. I look up and there is this guy stabbing another guy and then trying to chop off the dude’s head with the same knife. Looks like someone was trying to tough his Spaghett! Stuff like that doesn’t really bother me and I found it sort of comical, but just a warning for the faint of heart. Speaking of Spaghetti, I thought the portion was kind of small compared to what you get at Olive Garden or Old Spaghetti Factory. Would I go back? Strangely enough, I would but for take out only. They should invest in a soda machine. When someone one asks for two boxes, give them two, don’t be a cheapskate.

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano – Menu with Prices – 101 E Intendencia St, Pensacola

Review Time: Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano This is going to be a winded one, so foreclosure. I was extremely skeptical to coming to this restaurant after the mixed reviews I have seen, but I’m telling you right now don’t believe everything you read. Go out and make your own opinion and my review may not agree with your palate. This is by far one of the best meals I’ve had in a while with all of the reviews I’ve done. This superbly super fresh restaurant has knocked my socks off. I will pay a high end dollar to enjoy a good meal and for $140, including two bottles of wine, it was worth every penny. Of course, this beautifully constructed ambience is amazing in here. I love the small touches to make a restaurant stand out; and I was in love with the rosemary sprig in my napkin. The service was very exceptional, but my only complaint is going to be all servers who serve in a high end restaurant, like this, should know how to present and pour wine nor did we get a chiller. I’m not a big cone-sure of wine, but this restaurant had an amazing Italian import moscato d’asti. Which in turn had us ordering two bottles. Thank you to the owners for having an extensive wine list to even please my boring palate. The food: of course I had to try a little bit of everything. To start with we tried these risotto croquettes. I was extremely stand offish in the being, because I tried it plain without the sauce. But take a step back and try it with their decentantly fresh marinara; and it pulls in a whole level of deliciousness. The focaccia was perfectly baked and had a phenomenal freshness to it. So soft and slightly chewy with an amazing crust on the bottom; and paired with this amazingly fruity olive oil just made my heart skip a beat. We also tried the margarita pizza. You can see the oven in the back, just flaming, cooking these pizzas. This crust was phenomenal with freshness and crispy. The smell of the fresh basil and fresh mozzarella was amazing, but throw it on the palate with this fresh marinara and I was in heaven. Our entree: the rigatoni bolognese was almost perfect. The bolognese sauce was exceptional, but the rigatoni was over cooked. Also, the garlic bread knot was not up to par. It literally tasted like burnt garlic. Now my squid ink pasta with the shrimp pompadoro sauce was to die for. The perfectly cooked pasta with the sauce was so fresh and perfectly tasty. The dessert: we are going all in tonight after this fabulous meal. We got the limoncello cheesecake; and this was by far the most decadent light as air perfectly lemon flavored cheesecake I have ever had. I can honestly say we will be back to this restaurant. Now to some people this may be a bland place, but if you have top quality fresh ingredients things do no need to be over seasoned. Which is why I’m in absolute love with this restaurant. Thank you so much Angelena’s for becoming a new destination in Pensacola for me. Overall review 4.5/5 due to over cooked pasta and burnt garlic and service 4/5 to wine service.
