I cannot rate this place highly enough. The customer service was fantastic and our breakfast sandwiches were so delicious. My boyfriend and I both had an egg, cheese, and sausage veggie bagel. After we checked out, we saw the immense selection of homemade cream cheese and decided to order another plain bagel to try the cream cheese. She gave us extra bagels. We joked with them that we would drive the whole way to Erie (from Altoona, PA) just for a bagel but we think now after trying the cream cheese we really would, haha! What better way to word this review than to say, “Would Drive 4 hours for these bagels.” 10/10

Jo’s Brooklyn Bagel – Menu with Prices – 833 W 38th St, Erie

This place should be called Erie Circular Bread bc it has nothing to do with Brooklyn or Bagels. However, enough people seem to like this place and post positive reviews. This leads me to believe that Erie is filled with a bunch of *ssholes, and/or most of these people have never had an actual real bagel. Let’s start by saying, these idiots changed a 200-yr old bagel recipe and skipped the boiling process that all bagels must go through to be considered a bagel. It’d be like making a car and not putting tires on it. To makes things worse, the shitty, jizz-like cream cheese they use, instantly turns into a viscous, semen-y liquid when it’s heated. This isn’t subjective. If you put these bagels on a world stage, they’d get a 0 out of 10. The only thing they got right is the shape.

East Coast Bagel – Menu with Prices – 14370 Culver Dr, Irvine

This is by far the best bagel shop in Orange County. As a NJ native and a total bagel snob I can tell you that most bagels out here are just rolls with holes in them. They don’t have to correct texture, chewiness, or flavor. East Coast Bagels is the best bagel you are going to find out here! I’ve done the leg work! On a Sunday morning expect a line out the door, but it moves pretty quickly so don’t let that discourage you. Know what you want ASAP, because their system is to call you up from the line to the center of the counter, order, then get back on the line to pay. And they want to get your order quickly to keep their system moving, so there is definitely a rushed east coast feel going on (which I personally don’t mind at all). If you order to eat in they give you some paper plates on the top of your bag, most people opt for to-go orders. I’ve had plain, egg, everything, etc, all bagels were great. Their croissants are a little too greasy for my taste, but are delicious with and egg and cheese sandwich if your heart can take it! My one complaint if I had one would be that when they are in a rush they can get a little skimpy with the cream cheese, and it may not get evenly spread over your whole bagel. Some may not care about this, but I do. Usually the beauty of ordering a bagel with cream cheese is the generosity of the serving and the convenience of being ready to eat as your drive off. If the bagel needs to be taken apart and reconstructed (or else half the bagel will be plain) or you got cheated on your cream cheese these benefits for paying a premium for a bagel with cream cheese disappears. You might as well pay for a side of cream cheese and do it yourself. The cream cheese issue is most certainly not enough of a deterrent to keep me from coming back to the only real bagels in OC. If you want the real deal, you MUST COME TO EAST COAST BAGELS!!

Moe’s Broadway Bagel – Menu with Prices – 3267 28th St, Boulder

Spent $5 on salty water. Bought a medium iced Americano, asked for minimal water, and an extra shot. She put two shots (should be 4) into an overflowing cup of lukewarm water with two ice cubes. Had to pour out after trying. While I don’t mind their bagels, they charge an extra $1.50 for plain cream cheese per bagel. The cream cheese costs more than the bagel itself. So I bought half a dozen, then bought my own cheese at Safeway and saved enough for next months rent. They also charge $10 for a mediocre bagel breakfast sandwich. Not worth it. Buy the bagels made fresh at CU market’s, cheaper and comes with free cream cheese.

Bodo’s Bagels – Menu with Prices – 505 Preston Ave, Charlottesville

Best Bagels in C’ville (Maybe the World). I have been eating at Bodo’s for many years, and I work downtown so the Bodo’s on Preston Ave is close enough to work to eat there conveniently. The orders are always fresh and correct. They have a wide variety of bagels, cream cheeses, and condiments/toppings. If you want an everything bagel with sausage, egg, & cheddar, or a plain bagel with bacon, egg, & provolone, or a salt bagel with jalapeno & lime cream cheese (it’s actually really good), they have it all. And even at rush hour breakfast time when there are 40 people in line you can be in and out in less than 10 minutes. If you haven’t tried a bagel from Bodo’s Bagels you must stop by you next trip to Charlottesville.

Eastside Bagel – Menu with Prices – 8 Line St D, Charleston

Tried a variety of the bagel sandwiches, and boy, did they prove to be excellent bagels! They are definitely the most legit I have found in South Carolina. The sandwiches were loaded with delicious toppings and each deserves individual attention: The Screech Powers (fried bologna, scrambled egg, and American cheese on a plain bagel): Quite possibly the most perfect breakfast sandwich ever. Salty and well-fried, yum! The Hamover Street (ham, Provolone cheese, lettuce, house mayo or mustard on a plain bagel): Piles of sweet delicious ham. Hot lettuce is yucky and I had to remove it. The Ginger Grant (turkey, bacon, cream cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a sundried tomato bagel): surprisingly kind of bland. Bacon flavor overpowered the subtle turkey and cream cheese. Hot lettuce again was yucky. Will remember to ask for none next time. The Eastside Book Club (turkey, ham, bacon, Cheddar, Dijonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on an everything bagel): the everything bagel was too much, and overwhelmed all of the flavors but the bacon. I would ask for this one on plain, and no lettuce. The World Traveller (sausage, scrambled egg, bacon jam, Cheddar, and red onion on an everything bagel): a true taste sensation. This bagel has everything! Might be the best of all. Craveable for sure. The most delicious, authentic bagels you will find! This is definitely a place I will order from again. I only wish they delivered to Goose Creek LOL

Barry Bagels Downtown Toledo – Menu with Prices – 300 N Summit St, Toledo

Barry Bagels Express has a very limited menu, compared to full-fledged Barry Bagels locations. Only two kinds of flavored cream cheese, and not as many options for meats and cheeses for sandwiches. The Express menu was not available on Barry’s website until very recently (I see it’s up as I’m writing this review), so my co-worker and I didn’t know what we were getting into until we arrived. There was only one employee staffing the counter, which seemed about right for the volume of customers. He wasn’t the quickest, but he was friendly enough, and he did a good job… although I wish the cream cheese hadn’t been spread quite so thin. Last time I had a bagel from Barry’s, the cream cheese was like a delicious blanket covering my bagel. I wish I could give 2.5 stars, because it’s decent, for what it is… I just wish the menu weren’t quite so limited. Perhaps they’ll expand over time, as they learn what might sell in this location. (Ideas: honey roasted turkey, provolone cheese, cheddar jalapeno bagels, chocolate chip bagels, honey brown sugar cream cheese, cinnamon swirl cream cheese.) I love the bagels — I just want more of it!

Gib’s New York Bagels – Menu with Prices – 2531 S Shields St # 2E, Fort Collins

I am not sure how there are even bad reviews here. I have been coming here for over 20 years and the bagels are always on point, fresh, and delicious! I’ve never had a bad bagel here and the service is usually very good. The line can back up and be longer at times but that’s because the food is so delicious. My favorite bagel here is the everything bagel but really they’re all delicious. Their homemade cream cheese is our wonderful and the atmosphere is cozy and nice. The best deal is to get the Gib’s dozen which is actually 13 bagels. There are also have wonderful sandwiches, bagel knots, coffee, tea, as well as juices and soft drinks. This is the original Gib’s Bagels and my favorite. All the locations are good but I prefer this location. Parking is ample and there’s always tons of variety. If you’ve never been to a Gib’s Bagels, then do yourself a favor and head over. If you’ve been but haven’t in a awhile, go back and eat a tasty bagel.

The Cleveland Bagel Company – Menu with Prices – 4201 Detroit Ave, Cleveland

Solid bagels and bagel breakfast sandwiches. On a quick weekend trip to Cleveland, we decided to go grab some breakfast bagels early on a Saturday morning. Visiting from New York, we knew we were probably going to be harsh on wherever we got the bagels from. As native New Yorkers, we always feel we are better than other states at everything … especially bagels. We dropped in at around 9:30am and it was as quiet as can be in surrounding area, but out of the blue rose this small little bagel shop and parking lot with lots of cars parked in front. When we stepped in, the line wasn’t really long, but within 30 minutes the line was out the door. Honestly, the menu was pretty simple because all they really do are bagels. Customers can purchase bagels alone, bagels with schmears (I guess a fancier word for cream cheese) and bagel sandwiches with a variety of add-ons. For breakfast, we wanted to try their schmears, but also go for a sandwich so we ordered Everything Bagel with Cheddar Chive Schmear and Everything Bagel Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich. The space inside is pretty small and there weren’t a lot of tables, but we were lucky enough to snag one before the place got really crowded. As for the bagels, they came out pretty quick. First thing, they were a bit small according to our standards, but it’s the content inside that matters right? The cheddar chive schmear was interesting. It definitely had a cheddar cheese flavor to it, but was good. One observation was that they definitely did not skim on the schmear as it spilled out with each bite. In fact, can I actually complain there was too much schmear? Maybe they should have smoothed it out more because the bagel was a mess after a few bites and the schmear was all over my hands. The bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich was also solid. Nothing about the bagels were incredibly amazing, but they were good for what they were. It was a good bagel sandwich. My wife wasn’t overly impressed by what we ordered, but I thought everything was decent. It’s hard for a bagel shop to really impress anyone, but especially when you’re knuckleheads like us from New York, you’re going to get the short end of the stick because we have a bagel shop on every corner. With that said, I thought the bagels were solid and, even though there are no other options around, it’s not a bad spot to pick one up. Everything was slightly above average in my book – 3.5 stars.

Manor Superette & Bagels – Menu with Prices – 931 Manor Rd, Staten Island

Down right horrible, I am never taking my money here again, despite being a loyal customer for years on end. My grandmother was having a party today and saw this advertisement for their Express Bagel Breakfast catering service. It included 2 dozen assorted bagels, 3 lbs. of cream cheese (2 regular, 1 flavored), butter, and jelly for a price of $49.99 + tax. Yesterday, she ordered this and was supposed to pick it up today, but while she was ordering she was confused because the employee told her she couldn’t cut them in quarters like it was advertised in the pamphlet they created and printed. They can only cut them in half. Alright, no big deal. Today she goes to pick them up and the same woman forgets the entire order. Then she asks if it’s okay she puts the bagels in a bag. A bag? You advertise a platter of 2 dozen bagels, why are they going in the bag? They said it would be $20 extra, but instead they only put one dozen on the platter and the other dozen in a bag and charged her $10 extra for putting it on a platter. They also only included 1/2 lbs. of cream cheese and no butter, jelly, or the other 2.5 lbs. of cream cheese that we paid for. This is false advertisement and a disgrace to loyal customers who have been coming for years. Don’t advertise something that’s not the truth !! $60 for 2 dozen bagels and half a pound of cream cheese. Disgusting and disappointing, and should have cancelled the order when she asked for $10 extra.

The Bagel Market & Bistro – Menu with Prices – 6267 Old Water Oak Rd, Tallahassee

I’d give you no stars if it were possible. We are new to the area, and gave you a shot last week, and it was decent enough, so we thought, to grab just bagels a cream cheese this week. We ordered 1/2 dozen bagels and cream cheese. It took entirely too long to input into the computer, but even after all that hard work, we were given no cream cheese. We realized after we left and so we called back and asked to speak with a manager. Btw – we were charged 1.20 to “pick” our bagels. So Travis answers, we ask if a manager is there, he replies yes. We ask to talk to manager and he explains, no bc we are too busy. We went to Walmart and grabbed cream cheese. Oh, and we had to cut and toast them at home too. I would avoid this place. The bagels are mediocre, the rest of the food is way overpriced, but the worst part is that the customer service is terrible. Word to the wise, stop charging for every damn thing, like “picking” your bagels. If the plate cost warrants a higher price, than raise it. People don’t like ridiculous charges on their bill.

Black Sheep Bagel Cafe – Menu with Prices – 56 John F. Kennedy St, Cambridge

My favorite little bagel stop! Black Sheep is hidden on JFK St. in Harvard Square but should not be missed! Nowadays it takes so much more than just good quality food to allow a restaurant to be successful. I find a lot of times many places still manage to overlook customer service and that’s why they’re unsuccessful. Black Sheep Bagel Cafe does a great job at selling bagels, coffee, and an experience. I could spend hours here because through the decor, food, and service they’ve really managed to create a vibe that you just want to indulge in and never let go! I’ve tried countless combinations of bagels and cream cheese and the outcome has always been fantastic. The menu is vast with a whole wall of bagels to choose from, along with countless cream cheeses, toppings, and extras. My favorites off the menu would have to be either the Ricotta or Avocado Toasts. However, for just a bagel all of them are winners with the scallion cream cheese. The prices are beyond reasonable and hey, if I’m feeling a little frisky at breakfast it’s nice to have the option to order a $9 mimosa here. Anyways, the customer service is what keeps me coming back. I can’t even begin to explain how much it means to be remembered by staff by my orders or how valuable the interactions are sometimes, especially on a Monday morning when I just don’t want to work! Truly such a special place.

3 Men & A Bagel Menu with Prices 1259 S Cedar Crest Blvd, Allentown

This place was a last minute decision as I was leaving the hospital across the street. Where I live you cannot buy a real bagel. So I figured this place would have the real deal. And they did! They make all sorts of sandwiches with a glorious array of bagel varieties! As a deli they use Boar’s Head meat, which is delicious. The people that work here are delightful and happy. And I was totally blown away at the prices! It’s so cheap! Just a loose bagel, any kind, is a dollar! After I ordered my bagel breakfast sandwich (ham egg and cheese) which was only $4, I grabbed two extra bagels for later. This place was the best discovery I’ve made in a while. I plan on stopping here every time I am in the area. Its too good to miss. I love bagels, real bagels, so this was like a dream come true. It’s so good!
