I would love to give this place more stars. It has an excellent atmosphere and the food surprised me. I have a few constructive suggestions for the owners: Teriyaki sauce – it should not coagulate like that. If you thicken it with corn starch, don’t. It was delicious but incredibly off-putting. Sushi carousel – maybe do something to mark the dishes with the time so the customers know it’s fresh. I didn’t see things sit long but with raw fish, I’d rather not take any chances. Consider investing in plates that keep cold for 30 mins as well. Staff – if you’re taking orders, you should probably have a decent grasp of the English language. I promise I’m not trying to be a jerk, but my guest had to explain what a vodka + club soda was to the waitress and she clearly wasn’t getting it. She asked for some help from another waitress and it was resolved just fine, but consider placing her somewhere else. She was very nice and attentive, but not a quality that I would say makes an efficient server. Air conditioning – use it please! I was sweating in here. I understand the hibachis are hot and give off a lot of heat. It’s a business expense to offset that. If your guests are comfortable they will come back. Table screen things – this place can’t have been open for more than a month and they were already broken / off. What are they for? We may never know. Flies – please invest in a fly fan for the entrance. I saw about 5 flies buzzing about. Not the most appealing atmosphere. All in all, I’ll try this place again in a few months to see how it progresses. I love seeing local restaurants try new things (sushi carousel) but the execution is critical to success. Good luck!

Osteria da Nino Italian Ristorante Menu with Prices 2900 S Quincy St, Arlington

We were a small group that came in for an early dinner, at first service was slow but we were not in a hurry and it was early. We all noticed fruit flies all over the place, in front of us, falling into our drinks, etc, many of us spent the afternoon/evening trying to catch and kill fruit flies. We noticed the manager/owner and he never came over to apologize. Some of us had to get new waters or other drinks due to the flies falling into the drinks. It was a very uncomfortable eating experience. The food should get 4 stars, since we all thought the food tasted good, but were unable to enjoy the restaurant. 3 of us had a higher price on the bill than shown on the menu for some items, this was corrected. I’m very disappointed at the manager / owner and wait staff for not doing something about the flies, and at least offer us a coffee or dessert for just sitting there, competing our meals and having our business. One waitress thought it funny when we told her that we’re busy killing flies. None of us are coming back and we’re in Shirlington very often.

Shu Sushi Ramen & Grill – Menu with Prices – 4929 W Chandler Blvd #3, Chandler

The owner of this restaurant used to own Sushi Ken in Ahwatukee after she bought it from the original owners. It was great back then. After selling Sushi Ken just over a year ago, she opened this place, Shu Sushi Grill and it’s clear she brought with her the love and passion for her food and her customers. Her husband is the sushi chef and their adorable little girls can regularly be found in the restaurant hanging with mom and dad. The sushi is incredibly fresh, the owner is part of a special group that has access to the best fish as soon as it’s available and it shows, so fresh and delicious. I love that she mixes some Korean options and specialties along with the Japanese cuisine options – it’s almost fusion-ish and a great mix up from solely traditional Japanese options. She maintains some five dollar sushi roll specials every day and they are great. The menu is robust and offers options for everyone. The Ramen soup is phenomenal, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed and clean. The service was excellent! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant, it could well become one of your regular favorites.

Kyoto Sushi – Menu with Prices – 5506 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi

Worse place ever. The only good thing I can say is the server tried his best. We ordered the dumplings and sushi. The dumplings were over steamed so the wonton covering tore apart easily leaving you to just pick at the meat in the middle. The sushi took way too long to be served, and it was low quality grade. Worse of all, there were several flying gnats around our food, I even killed two and showed the server the dead flies on the plate and table. Horrible experience, the owner and manager didn’t care to take of us, but to offer free desserts. Who wants to eat at that point when flies land on your food. Who knows what’s going on in the kitchen, how many flies are landing on everybody’s food. As we were leaving the server managed to get us a free order of yellowfin Tuna sashimi. We were already trying to leave, but I tried a taste anyways, and it tasted like bad quality fish. My wife and I spent $90 there, it would’ve been nice if they discounted our ticket, I would’ve given them an extra star for doing that. We would usually give restaurants a second try, but never this place. Let me save you some time and money and NEVER try this place out. You’re better off going across the street to HEB and buying your sushi at the little stand.

Parguito Gourmet – Menu with Prices – 1940 N 30th Rd, Hollywood

I thought the food was excellent, the fish was fresh and believe me I fish, the coleslaw was absolutely divine and the fried giant empanadas were amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous and the service relatively quick. Why did I give it 3 stars, I’ll tell you. Flies, big nasty giant flies literally everywhere. They were all over the food the tables, the counters, it was extremely noticeable and annoying. Also, it’s incredibly hot, there are a couple of fans but other than that it’s very muggy and humid. Also the tables were not clean, we cleaned our table and I saw other guest cleaning their tables as well. It be nice to visit on a cool December or January afternoon after a cold front but not comfortable eating the food there at all. I know it’s a farmers market and all but come on.

Tibet Bowl & Sushi – Menu with Prices – 50 Main St, Salt Lake City

Sad to say this place is pretty terrible, i love nepalese food especially momo, unfortunately every component of the momo was bad, the dumpling shell was too thick and bread-y tasting, the meat filling had an offputting old tinge taste to it, and the sauce although it smelled excellent didnt have much flavor to it at all and was kinda creamy like tikka masala sauce or something, i didnt try the sushi but that should have been the red flag from the get go, sushi and nepalese food do not go together just like sushi and chinese food dont go together how do people not understand this!!!

The Dog House Tulsa – Menu with Prices – 3711 S Harvard Ave Suite A, Tulsa

This place has moved and is reflected by the new address. I liked it better when they had the brick and mortar building going on. I came here recently and ordered a couple of hot dogs out of the truck. This was the first let down as we had been told they had a new brick and mortar shop. It wasn’t open. We sat at some pick-nick tables nearby and were immediately swarmed by the flies from the garbage can near by. It was awful. Flies everywhere and we would get an occasional whiff of some terrible smell. Aside from the location and flies, the food was good as I remember. I would always get their stuff if they had a cart going at the BOK Center, as it easily blows away the rest of the food there. I just hope they get the new building going and get some practices in place to keep the flies out.

Sushi District – Menu with Prices – 488 E 17th St B105, Costa Mesa

Had really high expectations for Sushi District upon reading the reviews. But was very disappointed by the sushi. I have been on the a sushi craze lately, trying out sushi from various restaurants in the area and the sushi here is probably the worst of the bunch. There’s a lot of great things about this place but the sushi didn’t impress. It’s a no for me dog ? Okay lemme start by saying what this place is doing right. The rolls and appetizers were excellent! I feel if I came here for those I would give this place a full mark. But there’s sushi in the name of this restaurant and their sushi was really whack man…or woman… or nonbinary… PERSON OKAY! The rolls were excellent and the portion was a lot! So that’s good. The appetizer I had was the fried oysters, which was delicious. The only thing is the fish here isn’t on par to what I normally eat. So rolls that has raw fish in it or on it, wasn’t that great. Now… Onto the sushi. This place has the poorest quality sushi I have ever ate in my life. I can go to some cheap sushi spot for $2 sushi that will obliterate these sushi to smithereens. The quality was poor, the knife skill is also poor. I have some pictures of the sushi and you CAN NOT lie to me and say that these sushi are one of the most beautiful sushi you have ever laid eyes on. I didn’t even wanna snap these ? The knife skill of whoever made my sushi that night was very sad. Cuts everywhere in order to cut sinews from the thick and clumsy cut of tuna. Salmon quality looks sickening. Like the salmon had the some AIDS or something. Why it look like that tho??? Amaebi! My favorite! Why was it flipped upside down? Trynna look like Shamu waving at the crowds or something. The staff here are nice. Our server noticed that my friend was having trouble chewing the tuna. I woulda just ignored it, but they remade another batch for us. It was still poor quality but it’s the thought that counts??? Their water is good tho… When I have to say their water is good it means I’m trying to kinda hide the fact that the review was savage. I don’t want to give bad reviews, but it’s important for business to learn what’s up… If I had sushi only then this place would have got 0 star review. But, the staff, rolls and appetizers gave them 2 stars. From my experience, this place is a hard recommendation for me. Maybe if you weren’t into sushi then this place offers a selective menu with great food and lemon water. Premium sushi price for very very pitiful sushi quality.

Sushi Court – Menu with Prices – 251 Westwood Shopping Center, Fayetteville

I will come again!!! (and that’s saying something since my sushi expectations are high … being from California) I GIVE THE CHEF 5 STARS!!!. The raw salmon roll and spicy tuna roll were amazing! The fish was fresh and delicious although the selection of fish was lacking; But its hard to find a big selection of fish in fayetteville. The portions of fish were small but they were very tasty. I did notice that the raw salmon roll only came in a 6 piece roll instead of the usual 8. I GIVE THE CHEF 5 STARS!!!. The waitress however a sad 2 stars only for bringing the delicious sushi the chef prepared! Her rudeness and lack of patience while we asked about the rolls was unnecessary! I will come again for the sushi and hope for a different waitress.

The Board Room VA Menu with Prices 925 N Garfield St, Arlington

I’ve been to the boardroom in DC so many times and finally made it out to the one in Clarendon, which is ironic since I live so close. I would give the space, amount of games and quality of games 5 stars. There’s plenty of room at this location and a ton of games that are not as worn out as the games at the DC location. However, I had to give this location 3 stars based on the drinks and cleanliness of this location. I ordered two mixed drinks and when the server gave them to me they BOTH had dead fruit flies in them (3 in one drink and 2 in the other). I told the server and he proceeded to make the drinks again. As he was making them he disappeared and came back with the drinks already made. So of course I inquired where he made the drinks and he said he had to go to the other bar to pour the liquor since the fruit flies were in the bottle..but wait that’s not the worst part.. when I asked why he put the first bottle back in the same spot behind the bar if there’s fruit flies in it he proceeded to say there’s not much they can do that all their bottles of liquor probably have fruit flies in them!?! Not sure why he would admit that but a bit concerning (I also think he disappeared to the back to pour our second drink out of that same bottle and pre check that no

Sushi Shibucho – Menu with Prices – 590 W 19th St, Costa Mesa

I moved to the neighborhood. Found Shibucho..was closed that evening. Made a point to go there. The counter was full so I got the table. Since I was ordering from table. Decided not to have nigiri sushi. Not the same when you order a plate of sushi combination. Comments. 1. They don’t have a waitress that understands Japanese food, she is efficient but no presence to seat or take orders. Just handed me a piece of paper and pen to fill in. 2. Water is not filtered well. Top Japanese restaurants have good filtered water. Affects everything., miso soup etc 3. Ordered chirashi sushi order. Price reasonable $21.00. Rice..not so great. Too mochi like. I.e. Heavy rice…Not enough rice vinegar. The fish on was ok. rice preparation is the basic measure of good sushi. 4. Ordered negi toro. But tekka maki ..but what I received was badly made tekka ..just maguro and rice rolled. $10.00. I was shocked…price was half of my chirashi and badly made. In Japan you could not serve like this. Sorry.. Because waitress not trained to understand Japanese food. Did not ask whether I wanted Japanese tea..older Latin lady. I will drive to Koi sushi or Shunka sushi for my sushi fix. Disappointed. Lastly..They knew I wanted the counter. As people left the counter. No offer for me to move ..

J & B Halal Foods Menu with Prices 3242 Adeline St, Berkeley

I was one of the first 50 people in line for the grand opening free platter of food. I appreciate the disc jockeys they had in front playing music to make the time pass much faster. I also appreciate the heat lamps placed to keep us warm. The food was well worth the wait in the cold. The food was delicious. I had a chicken and falafel platter with lots of toppings (olives, peppers, jalapenos). I won some fries via the raffle out front and the were excellent. That hot sauce is no joke heed the warnings. My scalp is still sweating but it knocked out the flu congestion I had. I can’t wait to go back.

Blue Fin Japanese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1625 Hilltop West Shopping Center, Virginia Beach

Sushi was pretty good, but have to -2 stars because of the waitress. On my second visit, I was dining with a group of eight people. I told the waitress to remove a certain ingredient in a sushi roll when I placed my order. As soon as she placed my plate in front of me, I told her my order was incorrect. She gives me an attitude, told me that’s what I ordered, and denied I told her to remove something. Even my two of my friends had to tell her that they heard me place my order and that I did tell her. She walked away and I heard her talked to someone in angry voice in a different language. I had to wait another 20-30 minutes for my one sushi roll and by the time I received it, everyone was done. That was two years ago. Hopefully, the waitress no longer works there.
