This place was horrid! First off you can’t enter in the door without passing through many people sitting on benches out front smoking. We arrived around 1:10 pm. Their was one other table in the restaurant. They left shortly after we arrived. Our server took our order but that is about all she did. We ordered a French Dip and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It took our food over 30 minutes to come out with only six people sitting at the bar drinking. We had to ask our server for every single thing such as silver ware, drinks, ranch etc., as she was to bothered to wait on us. My order came out wrong after repeating it to her twice but that is what happens when she wrote nothing down. The food was mediocre at best. My Buffalo Chicken sandwich was over cooked and tough not to mention small for the price. The tater tots my wife had were under cooked and were just crumbles on her plate. Once our server delivered our food she was non existent. She never came back to check on us after she delivered our food. We ran out of drinks, my wife need more au jus and napkins. We tried to get our servers attention but she was to busy at the bar on her cell phone, and going back and forth to the kitchen and coming out with her mouth stuffed with food and drinking on the front line bar area. She could not bother to take care of the paying customers because she was to busy taking care of herself. We never got our drinks, extra au jus etc. We sat waiting for her to come back for 20 minutes and she never came back just kept eating. My wife finally walked up to the bar and once again the server was in the kitchen eating off the line. The server stated “yes” to my wife and my wife stated we need our ticket since you have not come back to our table. The server then brought our check out and had the nerve to say I should of waved to her to get her attention. I advised her as a server it is your job to be attentive to your customers and I should never have to wave at you to get your attention. Besides since you didn’t wash your hands between feeding your self, touching a dirty glass at the bar that had been drank out of to touching clean cups etc., the last thing I wanted was you to handle something for me or my wife. I also stated it was obvious you were more interested in taking care of yourself than taking care of paying customers. This was our first and last visit to this location. We have eaten at Mother’s downtown and never had an experience such as this. I would provide the servers name but the receipt only say Day Bar.

Great American Casino Lakewood – Menu with Prices – 10117 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma

My wife and I came Saturday for the live music and had a blast. Sonic Funk was awesome and the crowd really seemed to be enjoying themselves. We thought the music started at 8pm but upon arriving realized 8pm is when the doors open to guests and music begins at 9. We didnâ??t see any servers taking orders as they were just coming in themselves so I went to the bar to place my drink order, the bartender was very friendly and got my drinks made quickly, as the night progressed we still hadnâ??t been approached by a server even though we saw multiple in the room. It was quite busy so we waited a bit longer understanding the servers were possibly frazzled but still nothing or no one. I saw a young lady dropping off some food to another guest so I got her attention and addressed my frustrations of â??why I had to keep going back and forth to the bar for my drinks?â? She apologized and offered to get me something but I had just gotten a drink from the bar so I declined and she left. Soon after my wife and I were approached by one of the supervisors (Nina) who stated she had been informed of the situation and wanted to make sure we enjoyed the rest of our night and had the service we needed. She was very polite and seemed to be truly concerned about our less than stellar experience. Nina personally brought over our server, introduced us and told her what we were drinking and said she sheâ??d be back to check on us in a bit. Much to our surprise she did come back multiple times throughout the night to make sure we were taken care of. The rest of the night went on without a hitch, our server (Amy) was very helpful and polite, The food was GREAT and the drinks were comin! To have supervisors/managers/higher ups in this type of establishment/environment that really care about the satisfaction of their guests is hard to find. My wife and I really appreciated the effort made by all the individuals involved and it is the main reason we will be back in the future. You got some good ones Great American!

Mariscos La Sirena – Menu with Prices – 515 Main St, Santa Ana

I wish I could give this place no stars, but I guess one star is okay due to only having 1 OKAY server. So my husband, our friends and I came to this place on Sunday 6/30/19 at around 8:00-8:30pm, it was 8 of us. There was only a few other customers there (about 3 other tables, no more than that.) We got a TERRIBLE server. She had a black pony tail. First of all she came up to our friend and asked what he wanted to drink and he responded “Pacífico.” She had the the nerve to look at my husband and say “do you know spanish? I don’t understand what he said.” When all he said was “Pacífico.” Then when she brought out our orders she didn’t even know who the plates belonged to. Every plate was being delivered to the wrong person!!! Then our ALCOHOLIC DRINKS were delivered to the wrong people as well!! There was a minor at our table who could have been served an alcoholic beverage because of her. She didn’t even mind checking IDs, I had to give her mine (because of habit) and she still asked me how old I was when I was the one following the law!!! IDIOT. Then she NEVER came around to ask how we were doing, if we needed refills, or if we needed anything. We proceeded to eat our food. She FINALLY came over and asked If we needed our check!!!! We said yes and asked for separate checks and said she didn’t want to do it and if we could just pay all together. We were confused and said okay? We had been done for a while and she was at the bar chatting it up with people from the band and not paying attention to her tables!! Finally a kind girl came up to ask asking if we needed anything and if we were ready to pay. She asked if we would like our checks separate or all together and we said separate since now it was, apparently, a choice. Then she went to the back and tried to figure out orders when we weren’t even her table. Then our server came and said “were you guys calling me?” NO WE WERE JUST WAITING FOR OUR CHECKS THAT YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO INITIALLY BRING TO US. At this point my husband was fed up and proceed to pay for everything himself so that it wouldn’t be a problem to the other kind server (short hair with blonde strips.) she even apologized because she knew our server was a fool. One tip…if you guys are going to server expensive food…HAVE EXPERIENCED AND GOOD SERVERS!!!! Terrible!!!!!

Mario’s Portofino – Menu with Prices – 1505 S Virginia St, Reno

My wife and I came here about 12:30pm for lunch on a Friday. You enter into the bar area and there is a sign stating, please wait to be seated. The dining area is to the right. It was not very busy and there were about 11 tables open when we arrived. We were seated right away.We checked out the menu and were brought waters and had our drink orders taken. My wife decided to order a cup of the minestrone soup. The soup was delivered along with a small basket of bread and butter. My wife really enjoyed the soup and said it was very tasty. For our meals my wife ordered the lasagna and I ordered the meatball sandwich. They were delivered in a timely fashion and looked delicious. We both really enjoyed them. Everything tasted great!Throughout the lunch hour it continued to get busy and there were quite a few people there when we left.Pepe was an awesome server and took really good care of us. The lunch prices seemed very reasonable and we commented that we need to come back here for dinner. Overall it was a great experience!

First Watch – Winston Salem – Menu with Prices – 1602 S Stratford Rd Suite 140, Winston-Salem

I had lunch on a Friday and was expecting the same fantastic food I had when I ate at a First Watch in Atlanta. Our FW is about half the size of the one in Atlanta but that is to be expected. I was alone so I expected quick service. Most restaurants like to get singles in and out because we take up a table and we are usually in a hurry. This was not the case. I was seated quickly but it took a while before a server came to my table. The staff was running around and taking care of everyone else. They were keeping busy and I didn’t see any slackers. I was considering leaving when one of the servers came over and took my order. As I waited I watched and could see that there were three servers and a runner. Not enough for a busy Friday lunch. My food arrived in a decent amount of time and it was delicious. My runner took care of me but I never saw the original server again. My food was great but the menu didn’t say the bread had nuts in it. My BLTE was fine without it. Don’t forget to tell your server if you have a nut allergy because the menu doesn’t have any type of warnings. I mentioned it to the manager, hopefully he will take it up with whoever prints the menus. My Butternut Squash soup was fantastic. I will be going back but next time will be on a weekend when I have more than a hour.

The Sweet Spot – Menu with Prices – 8448 W Central Ave, Wichita

Iâ??ve eaten here on several occasions. The last two times I was disappointed. Previous to this visit the food was delivered room temperature which was unsatisfactory. I gave it another chance this month. Visited on a Tuesday and had called the evening before giving them a heads up there would be 8-10 of us eating lunch on Tuesday at 11:00. When we arrived the waitress greeted me and I stated we had called about a table for 8-10. Apparently the message never got delivered. We were held at the entrance while they set up the tables. There was 1 (ONE) waitress there to serve all the tables that day at the lunch hour. There was a management type person there who did little to assist her. The orders were taken and the food was delivered. I had no issue with the quality of the food. The checks then were brought and there was where a problem came up. The menu stated with the burger I ordered you had a choice of French fries, salad or fruit. I chose the salad. When I got the check there was a charge of $1.75 for a salad. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she acted perplexed. I told her the menu stated we had three choices and she acted like we didnâ??t. I was not the only one who had the same issue about being charged extra for a salad. She agreed to adjust the check but she didnâ??t take the cost of the salad off she gave a 10% discount on the bill which still gave a 50 cent increase in the cost of the meal. Also when dining at a supposedly â??upscaleâ? restaurant I donâ??t expect to have my ears assaulted by Fox News or another news or sports program on TV. After twice being disappointed in the service I will not be returning. I suggest if you eat there to check you bill to make sure you arenâ??t over charged.

Baby Tuna Poki And Pho – Menu with Prices – 26574 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I am a native of Santa Clarita (raised in Canyon Country, grew-up in Valencia, went to school in Newhall) & live in Silver Lake / East Hollywood, & work in Pasadena) I have ran the full gamut of LA Sushi restaurants. I don’t get anything for saying this, I don’t get paid by the business, they don’t give me extra sushi, or significant discounts. This is just a clear, & honest, reflection of a really great dining experience with superior food & phenomenal service. First off, Riley is one of the BEST servers, PERIOD. I have never met her in my life, but boy oh boy, she has one of the best attitudes that I have ever come across. She was handling a full-house single handedly, waiting hand on-foot on some rather demanding patrons, & doing it with a smile on her face, with genuine hospitality. She did not hesitate to go over all the details of the “All You Can Eat” options for my sister & I: “One person can do AYCE, No sharing, No time limit.” & she was nothing short of informative, polite, & graceful. She was very attentive, making sure that we were ok at many points of the meal. Making sure that our drinks were topped-off, busting our finished plates very promptly, & kindly keeping-us posted with the status of are upcoming orders. Taking careful attention, she wanted to make sure that our pacing was ok – that we were able to finish everything that we ordered so that we wouldn’t pay extra for leftovers (it’s very understandable that many others “eat with their eyes”). In addition, both owners, Jimmy & his lovely wife, Wani, personally came-up to us, introduced themselves, greeted-us, & personally handed some of their best dishes to our table. Aside from the phenomenal service (we will most definitely comeback), the sushi was out of this world. I have had some of the best sushi that L.A. has to offer, & this place is up there with the best. The salmon toro & the bluefin tuna (that owner Jimmy hand-delivered to us personally) were really stand-outs & highly recommend. Make sure to ask for Riley, & let the owners know how valuable she is, not just to this restaurant, but to the service industry as a whole. All servers can really take a cue on how to take care of customers from her. If the owners read this, she most definitely deserves a raise & to all patrons: her skills & demeanor are definitely worth your generosity with the gratuity. Thank you very much, Babytuna! Wishing you many more years of success & loyal patronage!!!

Boathouse Collective – Menu with Prices – 1640 Pomona Ave, Costa Mesa

So much potential….inconsistency was comical. Six of us went to Boathouse on Saturday evening. We sat down and waited a little bit until the server came over. We ordered a round of drinks with two people in the group ordering the basil greyhound. Drinks were served and the basil greyhounds looked completely different; one was yellowish with basil in it, the other was ruby red and no basil in it. The server says, don’t worry, they’ll taste the same…they were just made by different bartenders. Well, they tasted completely different. We were about to order and the server asked if the host had given us the specials menu. Answer, was no. He brings us the specials menu with some interesting, but diverse options; Cuban sandwich, uni pasta, etc. Meanwhile, we order another round of cocktails, with three of us ordering the First Class (Templeton Rye I China China I Vanille De Madagascar I Lemon $14), as that was a favorite from the first round. It was served differently than the first one. First one, no ice, great flavor, well balanced. Second one, ice, watered down. Server says sometimes it is served on the rocks, sometimes not. Strange. We ordered our entrees and I went with the server’s recommendation of the Cuban sandwich. Wife went with the filet tips, rice, and arugula. We also ordered the uni pasta for the middle of the table, to share. While waiting, we order another round of First Class cocktails, asking the server to have the bartender who made the first one make it. Score! The drinks were delivered and they were awesome. The ladies were tired of the inconsistency, so they opted for a bottle of Pinot Noir. Options were $30, $70, $80. Strange price breaks/options and they went with the $30 bottle. The food was served, except for the Cuban sandwich. Server says that the Cuban sandwich was taking longer than normal. 2-minutes later, it comes out; cold hunk of pork belly, cold cheese, avocado and cold, dry bread. It was horrible. I would of rather the server said they forgot it, waited another ten-minutes and had it done right. Wife’s filet tips plate was cooked super rare…meat was super chewy. Uni pasta was good. Others at the table weren’t impressed with their food. Oh well. We ordered another round of First Class and another bottle of Pinot Noir….surprise, we received a different tasting cocktail than the previous ones. Not bad, but just not great, like the initial cocktail. Auto gratuity of 20% on a party of six. Aggressive.

Coffee Kiosk – Menu with Prices – 26833 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita

One of us got coffee, the other got ice tea and we both got bad stomach aches while drinking the drinks. When we stopped drinking the drinks, the stomach aches went away and when we started drinking again, the stomach aches returned. Within an hour, we were both on the toilet, feeling the pain. For both of us to feel stomach pains but be drinking different drinks, we think they must be using dirty/contaminated water (perhaps they’ve forgotten to clean their water filters?) as whatever water they use would be the only commonality between our two drinks. Very disappointing as the drinks tasted good but we had to throw them away due to the stomach pains. Will not be returning.

Elmer’s Restaurant (Eugene, OR) – Menu with Prices – 1036 Valley River Way, Eugene

My family and I are big fans of Elmer’s as it’s kind of our go to restaurant for mostly breakfasts, but the experience this past time for dinner was unfortunately not up to the high standards we have for Elmer’s. The place was virtually empty and we were greeted by Zack, I believe his name was, and he is apparently the supervisor of the servers according to his name tag. He was extremely friendly and it would have been a delight to be served by him. Starting with the service which is where the bulk of the issue existed this trip. Zack would have no doubt given us a great experience if he were our server. That was not the case, however. I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble here because I know that everybody has an off day now and then, but our server was not smiling, not friendly, and overall just not very helpful. She did the very minimum you would expect from a server. I asked if I could get fries with the Breakfast Burger rather than the hash browns or fruit listed on the menu and she said you could get fries for a side with pretty much anything and that you can even get as many refills as you want on them. This was good news as I was starving and the so-called Northwest fries are super satisfying. I was excited by the prospect of many of them. Little did I know that when our food (which took longer than you would expect given how quiet the place is) was delivered to us, we wouldn’t see our server again for quite some time. It’s generally a good practice to check in a few minutes after delivering the meal to make sure everything is fine and see if refills are needed on drinks. A refill on the fries would have been nice as well and one would think she would have asked me if I wanted more once she finally checked in. Nope. No dice. And when I asked for a refill on my long empty Pepsi and for waters for the kids she had a real sour look on her face and kinda slammed the drinks down hard on the table when she brought them out. She just seemed very much like one of those people who thinks we should be grateful that she’s serving us, rather than ensuring that we were actually really well taken care of. We don’t have money to eat out very much, so it was disappointing to have such a mixed experience. The Breakfast Burger is not something I would order again as there was too much bacon jam on it and it wound up tasting like candy. Might have been alright if I had anything to wash it down, but as mentioned before the server essentially vanished while we were eating. Everything else was fine aside from the guy repairing tables with power tools very close to where we were eating. It wasn’t busy as I mentioned, but if you’re going to be using power tools in a restaurant, I think closer to 9 pm would be a better time for that.

Vorshayâ??s Cocktail Lounge – Menu with Prices – 417 E Douglas Ave, Wichita

Vorshay’s is a beautiful old building, and many of the old touches are left in the building. The music, the night I went, was Piper Leigh, and she is fantastic!!The drinks were very good, but not so much the bartending staff. They did not pay attention to all of their customers (there were 3 bartenders behind the bar) Although I was greeted when I came in, after that I was ignored for about 5 minutes until I waved down the bartender and ordered my drinks. One of the bartenders was making one drink at a time (and the place was packed!!) He was very nice but needs some training. I was told they serve food but I did not try it as I had just eaten. All i all, not too bad, I just wish the bartenders would pay more attention tl ALL the customers and not just a few, and also be a bit quicker.

Placido’s Pasta Shop – Menu with Prices – 120 Shelton Mcmurphey Blvd #110, Eugene

Food is delicious! And great prices to match exquisite food. You can tell it truly is made with love and attention to detail and flavor. However, I wish this business cared about having servers that cared, employees that work together, or just hire people who know what their doing. Our service was extremely slow, there were moments we had to get up and ask for things because she was no where to be found. Even had to ask to order in general and get up and see where our drinks were after 15mins. She seemed extremely new and new to serving. There were two other much more experienced people serving that didn?t even care to help, even though we feel they noticed what was going on. They could tell we were standing around, basically begging to pay the check at the end also and get out of there. It took our server 10mins, too to give us change. By this time we were pretty fed up. We even went and sat down by the door to wait. We really didn?t find that acceptable… maybe we?ll be back if that changes.

New Moon Sushi – Menu with Prices – 4231 Florida Ave S, Lakeland

Under normal circumstances, I would give this restaurant a much higher rating. However, I ate at this restaurant recently, and my wife ordered a margarita. She politely asked the server if she could have some extra tequila in the drink. Anyone would expect that there’s an up charge, and that wasn’t the issue. The server failed to mention that an extra shot of tequila is $10.00. The margarita itself is already a $10.00 drink. Thus making this a $20.00 drink. We politely addressed the issue with the manager, and explained that they can charge whatever they like. But, it’s the responsibility of the business to advise the customers of a ridiculous up charge. The rebuttal that we received was, “I made that drink myself. But, we’ll tell our customers from now on.” No apology, no thank you for dining with us. Just, “hey, pay $20.00 for a mediocre margarita with an extra shot.” The food here is good, the service is okay. But, the management could be better with informing their customers, and at least act like they’re sorry when you get ripped off. It’s also worth mentioning that she ordered 2 drinks, the server said nothing, and the check was $40.00 for 2 drinks. Buyer beware
