This was my first visit to Menchie’s and unfortunately it will probably be my last. The selection of flavors was a bit lacking compared to other frozen yogurt shops I’ve been to. Not seeing any flavors that really tickled my fancy, I went with the ol’ standby – chocolate and vanilla. My fiancé and her kids were a bit more adventurous and got some of the other available flavors. After paying, we sat at a couple small tables and dug in. I instantly didn’t like the flavor of the chocolate or vanilla as both had a very tart sour taste to them. So much so that I could not enjoy the rest of the frozen yogurt and threw it out. The kids (12 and 15) said it was “okay, but a little sour.” I was relieved to find out that my taste buds hadn’t failed me. As we all headed home, we decided that it was a 2 star experience. While the shop was nice and clean, the frozen yogurt was not very good at all. A 3-star rating would warrant another try, but it was unanimous that no one would really want to go back for sour tasting frozen yogurt.

The Bigg Chill – Menu with Prices – 10850 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles

Found this place through yelp and was so excited to try this place because lately I’m obsessed with cookie dough!! They have so much variety of cookie dough flavors so I had to go! The place is super retro neon which is super cute. The owner is super nice and let us sample different flavors of the frozen yogurt which was not bad I like the classic vanilla and the cookie butter. I ordered a small size cup, you can have two yogurt flavors but I only chose classic vanilla. For toppings you have to pay extra. 2$ for 3 toppings I chose the chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut cookie dough and crushed Oreos. Sadly I was pretty disappointed that they don’t offer samples for the cookie dough, but other places do. My boyfriend ordered the espresso frozen yogurt with sugar cookie dough, mint chips and cheesecake bits. I was very disappointed with the cookie dough! The quality was really bad the cookie dough was not smooth at all and it tasted old and churchy not because of the chocolate chip. The peanut cookie dough was worst the peanuts were really stale. I did not like their cookie dough at all I just ate the frozen yogurt with the crushed Oreos. They should let customers to try the cookie dough before getting it. What made me threw the rest of my ice cream away was when the froyo was starting to melt, I saw a separation of the froyo and watery yellow liquid it was gross. The price was also disappointing as well for 2 smallest container of frozen yogurt with toppings is $14, 7$ each. It is overpriced for the bad quality I’m getting. I don’t think I will be coming bad. 2 stars because the service was pretty good.

The Lovin’ Spoonful – Menu with Prices – 2028 Cliff Dr, Santa Barbara

Hands down the best frozen yogurt in Santa Barbara. A wide array of flavors are typically available. The best part is that yogurt doesn’t have an aftertaste. Seriously, there’s no yogurt after taste like you get at a lot of other frozen yogurt places. The range of toppings is absolutely wonderful, but my personal favorites are the wide range of fresh fruits that are available. If want to have your yogurt as a meal, no problem, load up on the fruit. If you want to have your yogurt as dessert, they’ve got you covered and then some. Very clean environment and helpful people up front. There’s really nothing not to like.

CherryBerry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar – Menu with Prices – 5107 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

Alright so let’s start off by a disclosure of stating that me and my wife enjoy our frozen yogurt one of my favorites is salted caramel it’s so good so anyway we go to Cherry Berry tonight who walk-in we’re both adults and children of our own it was just me and the wife tonight looking for some frozen yogurt to soothe our bellies we walk in and we see all the different flavors of yogurt now and it normal person that walks into a yogurt shop doesn’t always necessarily know exactly which flavor of yogurt they want to get so you get a sample cup like any other yogurt shop in the United States you get a sample cup so that way you can sample the yogurt before you buy the yogurt at $0.45 an ounce which is incredibly expensive you would think they can afford a sample now if you have people that are abusing the samples for employees serve the sample cups but don’t take the samples away not for anything but you just lost $60 tonight between myself and my wife that’s on you and if you continue this fashion just like all the other yogurt shops that have shut down in Sioux Falls your shop will be next so anybody looking for frozen yogurt don’t go here because if you don’t like what you get you can’t return it

Yogurt Delite – Menu with Prices – 4378 Thornton Ave, Fremont

I went here with my kids while waiting for our pizza order next door. We ordered a Thai milk tea with boba, chocolate egg tart with Oreo yogurt, three Oreo yogurts with Oreo, and a chocolate milk tea with boba. There was just one guy that was getting each order ready. He was really nice and we were in no rush for our stuff. Each order came out one by one and the kids were loving their frozen yogurt. I just had to wait for my egg tart. This was our first time here so I was looking at everything. I seen the sign for sandwiches that range from $1.49 – $2.00 and I thought that was pretty inexpensive. I was already planning a lunch trip…until I look over at the different toppings for ice cream and frozen yogurts…that’s when my eyes caught it running along the window. It was a ROACH! I almost threw up, thinking that my kids are eating their stuff! So I thought to myself, there’s gotta be more somewhere since that was one of the smaller ones. Sure enough, I look around at the floor and see a bunch just running along the base board of the walls. Super gross and I will NOT be returning ever! Beware of this place…cause if they are running around the base boards and window area…they are running all over the cups, spoons, plates, and everything!!! I took a video, once I figure out how to post it I will.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 9986 N Newport Hwy, Spokane

Have been a fan, a big fan, ever since it opened. ? I would agree that the basics are the same as everywhere else, at a froyo parlor but then, in my opinion, they lead the race and excel at almost every department .. friendliness, service, cleanliness, toppings, the yogurt flavours which suits to every taste buds and sometimes a $5 coupon just like that ? .. Happened to us .. yesterday .. went in to buy their signature frozen yogurt cake and the cashier walked to us and handed a 5 dollar coupon .. we were excited like kids ? Sometimes these small gestures are the things that make you come back over and over again .. And yeah !! they have a reward program too .. don’t forget to mention your phone number and collect smiles for every dollar you spend ? ===================== Came back to add one more thing ? .. I absolutely love their bobba balls topping .. they are so good and goes so well with the yogurt ..

Tigers Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 4343 Pacific Ave A3, Stockton

Tigers is a tried and true Stockton classic. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and always make a point of stopping by when I visit home. Cash only, but cheap compared to other trendy create it yourself yogurt spots that popped up in the area. A mini is $2.50 and is honestly huge. If you get two flavors, they come side by side in a heaping tower (if you get a swirl of those two flavors, it’s a little less). You can’t get a lid with a mini, so get a bigger size if you want it to go. The yogurt is always delicious. My favorite is cheesecake whenever that pops up on the menu, and vanilla + peanut butter when it’s not available. Staple, “always there” flavors include vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, and Oreo. Other flavors like cheesecake, banana, rocky road, and different berries rotate in and out.

Frazzberry Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 4734 Limestone Rd, Wilmington

Sweet little locally owned frozen yogurt shop! The owner and employees are always helpful and friendly and the froyo is so amazing! The permanent flavors include original tart, some kind of vanilla, chocolate, and birthday cake; rotational flavors include things like wild strawberry, salted caramel pretzel, peanut butter I think, pistachio, and at least 20 other flavors. There’s always at least 1 dairy-free sorbet in their 8 flavor daily lineup. Even the low/nonfat yogurts taste as amazing and creamy as ice cream and they have a fully stocked extravagant topping bar with fruit, candies, syrups and sauces, and just about anything else you could want as a topping. I can’t recommend this place enough! ð??

Go Greek Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 1431 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica

This is my all-time favorite dessert place in LA!!! Delicious, healthy, and soooo many toppings… The Santa Monica location is newer and bigger than the Beverly Hills location. It offers six flavors at a time, while BH only has four. There are house flavors (plain tart, honey, wild berry, chocolate), rotating and seasonal flavors. I’ve tried almost all of them, and my favorites are peach and coconut. They also have delicious regular Greek yogurt, if you’re not in the mood for frozen. Toppings range from fruit to chocolate covered goji berries/almonds to chia/flax/hemp seed. Get the cacao nibs!!! The only thing is that it is on the pricier side (89 cents/ounce) and I end up spending anywhere between $5 and $9 on frozen yogurt. Pro tip: add your phone number to earn rewards! Spend $100 and get a free one (I believe up to $10?)- I’ve already redeemed three free ones…oops.

iChills – frozen yogurt & ice cream – Menu with Prices – 7901 4th St N, St. Petersburg

Amazing ice cream, decent froyo selection. My name is Christina and I am a frozen yogurt addict. I love supporting local businesses, so it tickled me when I found out that there is a locally owned and operated frozen yogurt place! I can no longer lie to myself and pretend I don’t have an extreme love for frozen yogurt. I honestly cannot remember the last week I’ve gone without getting a cup (if I really think about it, it may have been a month and a half ago? Maybe?) There is something about pretending to be healthy while filling a cup with a little bit of froyo and a gazillion toppings. My husband often asks me if I want some froyo with my toppings. Because of my fixation on super sugary toppings, I always get tart froyo. I enjoy the balance of flavors. In my extensive froyo research (i.e. eating at every froyo place I come across) I have found that tart is usually a staple in the froyo world. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. They had a Blueberry “Tart” flavor (quotes are mine), but when I tried it, it was as sweet as can be. They have a small selection of your basic flavors (e.g. peanut butter, chocolate, yellow cake, vanilla, a raspberry sorbet), but they were missing my tart. I reluctantly went with the yellow cake. I added my normal toppings of cookie dough and tons of different candy bar pieces. They don’t have my beloved frosted animal crackers, but I’ll survive. I learned that it is definitely too sweet to go with my normal toppings and a sweet froyo flavor. If you like sweet froyo, however, then this place will definitely satisfy you. If they get a true tart flavor, I will definitely be back! They also have Working Cow Ice Cream, which my husband decided he had to get, even though his doctor says he shouldn’t be eating dairy. I didn’t put up too much of a fight, because that meant I got to try his Cookie Monster and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream! Both are delicious, but I especially enjoyed the Cookie Monster. It was oh so good and it’s fun to eat bold blue ice cream. That definitely appealed to the kid in me. This place is tiny, but very clean. There are tables both inside and outside. It is at the bottom of a business building, so blink and you could miss it! This place is marketed to kids, since they were playing Disney Channel, but hey, I love the Disney Channel too, so I guess you could say this place was also marketed to me. I would definitely suggest to everyone to eat local and get your ice cream/froyo here!

U-Swirl Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 100 N New Rd, Waco

The fro-yo here is legit. They’ve got a great selection of flavors on rotation (bring back the mint please!) in either frozen yogurt, sorbet, or gelato — each flavor describes calorie content, etc. Toppings include an assortment of fruit, boba, a variety of chocolate types, candy, cookie dough, and syrups you’re able to load up yourself. The staff is always friendly, and this place is usually moderately busy. It’s super crowded at peak hours, but that’s never an issue in terms of service or enjoyment. Great place for kids, adults, groups, families. They even offer an assortment of boardgames / tabletop games to loan out. Seating is plentiful inside, and there’s even a few tables outside. Nice music plays in the background. The frozen yogurt is self-serve, and they are super generous in terms of being able to get free samples to try out flavors. I’ve been to some fro-yo places that are a bit too heavy or ice creamy in style, but this stuff is super light and fresh tasting. My only point of feedback would be for U-Swirl to maybe post a schedule of upcoming flavors. Sometimes they offer great stuff and I never know when it’ll be on rotation again. I’ve never had a non-delicious time here.

Peachwave Frozen Yogurt of Kalamazoo – Menu with Prices – 5907 Gull Rd, Kalamazoo

We stopped by tonight to try it out. The shop is described as “self serve” and indeed it is set up so that no wait staff prepares or touches your dessert. You choose a flavor or flavors of frozen yogurt and/or gelato, combine it with other toppings like pineapple chucks or maraschino cherries, the staff weighs the final result, and you pay a certain amount per weight. The shop was bright and clean, the staff was attentive, and there was outside and inside seating. There are reduced sugar and non diary options. There were a lot of toppings from which to choose. As the shop describes itself as offering “low fat frozen yogurt and gelato” I was neither surprised nor disappointed that the frozen yogurt I chose – 1/2 coconut and 1/2 pina colada – did not have the luxuriousness (or mouth feel) of Ritter’s Frozen Custard. But it still was quite good.

Pop Craft Pops – Menu with Prices – 2095 Siesta Dr, Sarasota

Fantastic frozen treats! It doesn’t get better than this. Hand-crafted, all natural, organic popsicles! Real bits of fruits, interesting flavors, really the best popsicles ever. I tried my first one at the farmers market in Sarasota, then at the Siesta Key food stand, now these popsicles are popping up everywhere and they even have their own store front. They cost more than your typical frozen sugar water on a stick. I reluctantly forked over $3 for my first popsicle, but I figured I was supporting a local vendor and I’d rather have something healthy to cool me down. (Now range from $2-$4.75.) I was a fan after tasting it, but had no plans to purchase more. Then my kids were born and wanted ice cream. I was staring into the freezer at the beach looking at unnatural looking ice cream and popsicles, so I forked over three more dollars a pop thinking it’s a treat at the beach. We are all hooked on these pops now. It is easy for me to justify the price for their health and knowing what goes into them. For me, I was sold when I tasted the new flavors. They have grown-up flavors now, and the flavors are intense and accurate. The Mexican chocolate is smooth and light but with strong chocolate flavors. You can taste a hint of mint in the mojito. The pear and bumbleberry ones have bits of fruit. If your kids are picky, I’d say stick with the simple flavors like strawberry lemonade. Flavors are changing all the time, and I can’t wait to taste more. Glad to see years of working resulted in their store opening. I see the PopCraft logo on ice cream trucks, too. Wish they would come up to Tampa!
