New to El Paso but this place is great! Small but solid menu, and everything we ate was ahhhh-mazing! The flautas, get them. Incredible drink deals. Fun/knowledgeable/nice staff. Pool table, darts, beautiful patio with a view, big open place, the atmosphere is like good working people who need a little touch of vacation. Clean women’s restrooms and this is important! Live music on the weekends, dance floor. I mean, it has it all without being too much.

International Dance Club Inc – Menu with Prices – 2422 Busch Ave, Colorado Springs

Great variety of dance music ! Great dance floor! Big place, friendly people. If you like to “couples” dance, or just to enjoy good live music and dance a few line dances, this is the place for you. The music is everything from Country and Western, Polka, Swing, ballroom and latin. People of all ages come and even bring their kids sometimes! You don’t have to be a great dancer, because there are dancers of all levels, from “never-ever” to accomplished ball room dancers. You don’t have to dress up, although extremely casual attire is not allowed. Many ladies look forward for the chance to dress up for their “date-night:” with their hubby, but there are those who just go for comfort with slacks and nice tops. There is a dance almost every Saturday night from 7-10pm, except for holidays. The theme and band can vary. There are free dance lessons too-check their website. The price is inexpensive-$10 for non-members. It is a non-profit, so this is the best deal in town!

Studio Neighborhood Bar Menu with Prices 402 11th St, Augusta

The Studio is a place for people to come together and enjoy Live music. It offers lots of laughs & fun fellowship time together. The live band that I enjoy the most is Lady & The Gents!!! The dance floor is opened for anyone who desires to dance. No judging takes place here. It’s a very nice and adult atmosphere. And when there are free appetizers for all to enjoy. It’s makes the setting even better. Those are for those who come early. It’s not a full course meal but enough to fill those empty holes in your stomach if you come in hungry. I enjoy myself every time I go.You never know who will run into. I saw a childhood Friend I haven’t seen in person over plus years. It was such a pleasure to see Deborah Sally. She still looks the same. Tall and beautiful!!! I am so HAPPY and proud of my cousin Fedrick DARon Neely…Love you cousin and keep on doing you…I will support you as much as I can. THE Studio is a great place to go to for fun and relaxation!!!

Rough Draft Inc – Menu with Prices – 2029 Harrison St, Hollywood

Wayne Miller has brought a delightful night club to Hollywood, Floridaâ??s Harrison Street area. From first view the ambiance and atmosphere was exquisite with its look of a marble floor design and European style columns. The idea of an extended Happy Hour should be enticing as the food and drinks were delicious. The jerk chicken is tasty. The Ol Skol Music spun by the DJ the Friday evening that I visited the establishment brought back memories of music from the 80â??s and 90â??s all big with music video from those eras. Classy and clean restrooms made a visit to this professional place of nightlife fun well worth the try.

Downtown Sporting Club – Menu with Prices – 411 Broadway, Nashville

Most of the bars on Broadway have live music, open space, and a rooftop bar. Not to say that those bars aren’t awesome, but if you’re looking to play some games while having a drink, this might be a nice change of pace. After exploring some of the bars the city has to offer, we decided to check this place out. The Downtown Sporting Club is composed of four floors: First floor – In addition to a restaurant & bar, this floor offers ping pong and corn hole. They also have a picture worthy “Nashville looks good on you” wall pictured in my review. Second floor – In addition to a bar offering alcoholic slushees, this floor includes a variety of activities to choose from. They have axe throwing, which I recommend making a reservation for, arcade games, foosball, and a “lawn” area to watch several sports games simultaneously. Third floor – This floor is for “hotel” guests so we were unable to go to this floor. Pretty cool concept nonetheless. Fourth floor – More games, but outdoors on their rooftop. The rooftop offers a view of Broadway. They also have a dance floor and photo booth inside. If you’re looking for a place to chill, I recommend this fun spot!

LOTUS BAR & LOUNGE – Menu with Prices – 137-74 Northern Blvd, Flushing

Oo Bar & Lounge is one of many bars that seem to be popping up in nice hotels in flushing. I was scouting bars in flushing when I discovered Oo Bar & Lounge. I decided to give it a chance. Walking off the elevator, I was greeted by a bartender who said my party was upstairs. I took the elevator another flight up and mingled into a Young Democrats party. Apparently because I was wearing a button up I looked official enough. Oo Bar & Lounge consists of two levels, one on the top floor and another on the roof. The rooftop had a pretty good view. Each floor has its own dedicated bar with the top floor having waitress service. There are also some fire pits that were sometimes operational. Speaking to the bartender, the owners don’t really refill the propane to operate it. It would’ve been nice to have, but since it wasn’t too cold the view made up for it. The few times that I have been to Oo Bar & Lounge, the top floor was mostly used for dancing, with a DJ coming in on certain nights. Unfortunately the bar does not seem popular enough to support it. The dance “area” felt a bit empty and the music selection was a bit too jarring, switching between hip hop and house was a bit odd. Other than the view Oo Bar and grill did not seem like anything too exceptional in my opinion. The drinks were not that memorable, and were priced a bit too closely to city standards. If in a bind this bar will do, but there are definitely more options out there.

Kava Hookah Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1007 W University Ave, Gainesville

Got there around 230iish and it wasnt packed but there were a decent amount of people there. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 45 mins to get a hookah and there wasnt a place to sit! The music was hip hop and rap (mainly trap) so it was deff a turnt up atmosphere. They didnt sell any drinks though ð??© once we finally did manage to get a seat the hookah was almost out and they were about to close. By that time they were finally coming to give us another cole but it kinda was a waste â?â??? just wish they wouldve had more hookas available and more seating space or even a dance floor maybe. Other then that the atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed the music.

Austin Swing Syndicate Menu with Prices 2312 San Gabriel St, Austin

The Syndicate dances are an institution of the Austin swing/lindy scene. They’ve been going since 1999, and are still growing. I started going to the Thursday night dances at The Fed almost as soon as they started, though I took a hiatus for several years when I moved away to go to college. Now that I’m back, I go out almost every week! It’s a great group of people and an easy place to make friends. There’s a fantastic system in place for processing beginner dancers… and the consistency of this system over the past 10 years is definitely a major reason why swing dancing survived its “fad” status in Austin, and continues to attract new dancers. People hear about the Thursday dance, come early for the 8:15 beginner’s lesson, get hooked, and everyone tells them to take lessons from Four on the Floor (classes are conveniently held at The Fed on Tuesday nights). There are several great options in town for learning how to dance, but Four on the Floor has been going since 1997 (yes, I took their early classes in the Starlite Gallery), and is definitely a crowd favorite. There’s also The Lindy Project, Go Dance, not to mention tons of private instructors. The Thursday night dances are all-ages, smoke and alcohol-free, set in a beautiful historic mansion. No partner necessary! Cheap to get in, especially if you pay for a yearly membership. The Fed has a small private lot on 24th St., as well as some street parking, but most people try to park across the street at the bike shop’s parking lot. There’s usually a DJ, but sometimes there’s a live band for special events. There’s also a side room for dances other than swing/lindy, usually balboa, blues, or west coast swing. Variety is the spice of life, after all! There’s a beginner lesson for these alternate dances at 8:15, at the same time as the beginner swing lesson (in another room). Austin Swing Syndicate is involved in more than just the weekly dance. Special events like The Austin Lindy Exchange, workshops, competitions, and more bring dancers from around the world to Austin. I gave them a four out of five stars primarily because the very consistency which makes them such a great avenue for getting new dancers dancing, means that it can also be a rut, and people sometimes forget that Austin is the Live Music Capitol of the World. So many people only go to the Thursday night dance, which is safe, but sometimes boring. Please, visit www.austindance.net and go dance to some live music!

The Infirmary – Menu with Prices – 1708 Washington St, Vancouver

Whisky, scotch, cigar bar attached to Shanahan’s Irish Pub. There on a Friday night where the patio was packed. My friend and I had never been inside and decided to go in. The door was open to the patio. Went inside, there were only two people inside. We were in there for twenty minutes. Neither of the two dudes working in there ever said a word to us. They were busy doing something more important than patrons. Walked out and went back on the Shanahan’s patio. Don’t bother going here. It was obvious that the place was of no interest of the people at Shanahan’s. Not planning on going back.

W.W. Fairfields Bar and Grill – Menu with Prices – 2001 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano

Met friends here to check out the new digs….it did not disappoint!!! Bartender Lonnie was very friendly, quickly got us drinks! People at the bar were friendly, food smelled terrific and everyone around us said it was good. They open at 3, so it wasn’t crowded, but the dance floor was there for us to cut the rug a little with the jukebox music before the nighttime crowd rolled in. I’ve heard this place is filling up at night with the live bands, great for them!!! I hope this place does oodles of business, it honors its namesake well!! Will definitely be back!!

Shenanigans Irish Pub Menu with Prices 4715 Coffee Rd, Bakersfield

Erika M I couldn’t have said it better. The dj Had a small table of 6 ppl he knew and only played what they wanted to hear which was music my grandparents would dance to. Nobody was dancing until my group of 9 got there thinking music would change and what we requested would be played. Nope didn’t happen even when a few crowds of people came in had one drink and left shortly after. We still tried to make the best of it and danced while one of his grandparents ( at least 50 something) kept giving us dirty looks and bumping us on the dance floor mind you we are in our late 30’s. The dj was laughing at what she was doing and continued with boring music. So instead of catching a case we decided to leave. If their goal was to clear out the place and entertain their few guest they succeeded. Oh yeah and one of them were eating at the bar.

Complexe Sky – Menu with Prices – 1478 St Catherine St E, Montreal

Woah. This place is absolutely huge. If your group cant decide on a music type for the night just come here. They have different floors and different rooms with all types of music! The first floor is a very large open space with same tables and a full bar. I was not down here very long as they were playing salsa music. Its just not something I am really a of or know much about. there were not many people down here. If you venture up the next flight there are 2 rooms on this floor. The one to the right was playing a mix of hip hop and pop. This would be the room with red lights. The room to the left (blue) was playing mixed top 40 which was pretty decent. If you venture up to the top floor, this is were you will find the massively long wait for coat check. like a super long wait. There is also a huge dance floor which was playing EDM/house. The music up here was great but there were only 3 people up here which made it feel awkward which is why I spent my time on the middle floor. I really did have a fun time here. The coast check takes a really long time and the middle floors get busy and hot! There is TONS of security which made me fell a little uncomfortable but I did not have any issues. The drinks were very cheap 3.00 for mixed drinks! cant go wrong there! I was also told this was a gay club. I went with my partner and did not feel out of place but, it di not seem like your normal gay club. I think its more of a everybody is welcome type of place.

Paddy’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 2339 N Murray Ave, Milwaukee

Paddyâ??s Pub is this beautiful gem on Milwaukeeâ??s east side. The atmosphere is always welcoming and people, including customers, are always friendly. The interior consists of a number of rooms on the first floor and a second floor that hosts music when the weather isnâ??t good enough to have it outdoors. The décor is quirky and fun, with many areas for people to gather, including a cozy fireplace in the winter! The outdoor courtyard/patio is, in my opinion, the best in Milwaukee. There are plants and vines draped across the whole area, giving it a magical feel and thereâ??s even a covered area so you can be outdoors in inclement weather. In the summer, the Thursday night Irish session music is held outdoors and it makes you feel like youâ??ve been transported to Ireland. They donâ??t serve food, but you are welcome to bring in food from local restaurants. The beer and whisky selections are topnotch and itâ??s just a fun place to be! Highly recommend checking it out â?? youâ??ll be happy you did!
