Stopped by for an early dinner after studying at Seventh Flag Coffee across the street. Mellizoz is located in the same gravel area as the Gourdough’s food truck. Service is the best part about Mellizoz! They actually mixed up my order, so I got the Migas and a Mushroom taco, instead of getting the fish which I ordered. They were so friendly and told me they would bring it out anyways. I wasn’t too keen on the migas because I felt like the breakfast taco had zero flavor. We had to ask for lots of extra sauces to give a little kick to our tacos. The mushroom was surprisingly good…so juicy and so much more flavor compared to the migas. I wish their corn tortillas were a bit more soft/warm when they came out, but that’s difficult to time in a food truck. We definitely left full and satisfied. They also sell merch and have tons of seating/picnic tables for larger groups. We saw a big family here and some families with little kids. I’d suggest saving room and getting one taco and a gourdough’s donut crazy concoction after. I’m doing that in the future. Thanks Mellizoz, will be back for some quick taco orders.

Jesse’s Tortilla Factory – Menu with Prices – 1226 Webster Ave, Waco

As you walk in, you’ll be greeted by a very strong corn scent. They process all of their own corn here, and they make their tortillas right in front of you. The employees are all very friendly and were all smiles while serving us. You can get hot tamales on most days, but sometimes they’re sold out so it’s better to call ahead of time if you’re going specifically for tamales. Note that you’ll have to eat them at home or in the car, there’s no seating as this is not a restaurant. Their corn tortillas are the best I’ve ever had. They sell flour tortillas, corn chips, guacamole, and queso as well as their tortillas and corn tamales. If you’re feeling creative, they also sell husks and masa so you can make your own tamales at home. They DO take credit cards, this place isn’t cash only. Totally worth the stop if you’re in the neighborhood.

Tacos El Rey – Menu with Prices – 6760 McCart Ave, Fort Worth

LOCATION CURRENTLY UNKNOWN? Oh my gosh, for those of you who want real food with flavor and not the discusting mass produced chain stuff you’ve found the perfect place. This little food truck has the best and fresly made authentic mexican street tacos money can buy. They serve the following meats on 2 fresly grilled small corn tortillas with chopped fresh onion and fresh cilantro and a side of fresh green homemade salsa: Al Pastor. Sauteed Pork marinated in lemon and pineapple juice, Asada, Grilled Steak & Barbacoa, Shredded Beef & Carnitas. … We ate everything they charge only $1.50 per taco next time I will buy the $20 deal to go. They sell wings & tortas but we didn’t try them yet. They have nice picnic tables to eat at as well. A MUST STOP for delicious original food!

Tacos Degollado – Menu with Prices – 1717-1815 University Ave, Des Moines

The food at this taco truck is good, I use to go here a lot they stuff the tacos with a lot of meat and really tasty, but recently the quality of the food has gone down, the difference between them and now is that the meat seems to be dry and the tortillas are almost hard everything that I go there, the sauce containers are not even filled half way the price for a asada taco is still pretty cheap compared to other ones that are normally $2 a taco here they are $1.50 each, it think they would be the top taco place in town of they focused a little more on the quality of food like they use to, from what I can see it seems to be pretty clean on the inside, parking is ok it gets crowded sometimes during lunch time, overall good taco truck.

La Acapulqueña N°1 – Menu with Prices – 103 N Broadway St, Fresno

Now when I say this understand that I know about this taco game! To make a great taco you want fresh ingredients, great tasting corn tortillas, (heated in fresh good oil,)and you want meaty seasoned meat, with this description you now understand this is the pillars of a great taco, this place is literally a diamond in the ruff, the tacos where smacktastic! The burrito best thang going! homemade flour tortillas with the old school abuelas rice!, you know the abuelas rice I’m speaking of the Spanish rice with the veggie mix! Yes! It’s truth! But wait…whole up! This ain’t it! the pickled jalapeños and carrots that most taco trucks, restaurants give as a garnish, are home made and they are the bomb!! I kid you not! this was the first time I’ve tried a homemade pickled jalapeño. This taco truck is in the cuts but don’t let the location fool you just order, eat and be amazed!

Bandido Taqueria Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 905 E Liberty St, Louisville

I keep forgetting to take pictures so close your eyes while you read this and use your imagination. I got the fish taco (fried), Maui Wowie (el pastor), and the carnitas tacos, plus an original elote. The tacos were good street tacos on small corn tortillas, they only have corn taco tortillas. Each taco had a slaw mixture that complimented the protein. The fish was a nice battered fillet that fit well in the tortilla. The el pastor taco could have used more meat and pineapple, the pork seemed a little under seasoned. I did really like the condiment bar. The serrano and habanero salsas had great flavor. You can actually taste the name sake pepper in each without them burning out your pallet. The pickled onions were superb, thin slices of habanero provided a nice secondary flavor with a kick. The best for last is the elote. Excellent ear of corn with large juicy kernels, coated in Mexican table cream, chili powder, cheese, and with a twist a red “enchilada” sauce. All on an easy to consume stick, it was my favorite. I love knowing I can grab some quick street tacos during my lunch break.

Taqueria Los Pinos – Menu with Prices – or3316 a E 14th, 1348 Richmond Ave, Des Moines

I stumbled on this food truck by accident ! Great food and prices at this truck ! I had two chicken tacos, side of beans, tortillas and a jaritos mandarin soda. The tacos were 3 bite size and served on corn tortillas. The tacos came with sauces. The chicken had good flavor ! I liked the grilled onion on the tacos. The beans were my favorite part of the meal ! I got a good size side of beans. Great flavor and delicious ! Authentic Mexican food truck! Definitely a good stop for lunch in Des Moines!

Tacos Los 3 Reyes – Menu with Prices – 1610 Old Bayshore Hwy, San Jose

Closer to 3.5 stars overall, but their corn tortillas are super fresh and one of the best versions I’ve had in the South Bay. Tacos Los Tres Reyes is located in more of an industrial area. They weren’t busy around 1:30pm on Memorial Day. You order at the food truck, and they have covered seating inside, in addition to their salsa bar. I tried their Chorizo, Suadero, Asada, and Pastor Tacos ($2.20/each, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=jsF9eCkRQTM2J85n_8rL5w&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). The suadero and asada were my favorites, since they were the most flavorful and seared well. I liked the pineapple in the pastor, but there wasn’t much flavor otherwise. The chorizo was my least favorite- it was spicy, but very dry and crumbly. I would recommend the suadero and asada, but not the chorizo or pastor. However, the corn tortillas were delicious. They were the perfect consistency, and also had good flavor. The salsa bar (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GElnqnYWRN0mDeUhnXKJvg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg) had a good amount of options. I only tried the orange and green salsas, but I liked both. The majority of tacos and salsas that I tried were spicy, so this isn’t the best place to go if you don’t like spice! For those that like offal, they have a few different options on their menu: buche (stomach), cabeza, and lengua. Pollo and chicharron are also available. I would come back if I was having a taco craving and in the area, and/or for late night eats. However, this is one of the better street taco places in the South Bay that I’ve been to. There was plenty of parking in their lot and also some street parking available.

La Milpa Tortilla Factory – Menu with Prices – 6101 Yandell Dr, El Paso

Taco King Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 4001 N Armenia Ave, Tampa

The Taco King Food Truck is located off North Armenia Avenue, North of i275, 1 block north of where Howard and Armenia merge, next to a Citgo Gas Station, McDonald’s, Advance Auto, and Dunkin Donuts. Although the Taco King Food Truck has set up permanent shop next to the Citgo gas station, there aren’t any picnic tables for sitting or eating nearby and it would definitely be nice to have. I was very disappointed that the Taco King Food Truck took the fish tacos off their menu, did not serve pulled pork, did not serve shrimp, and 2 of their tacos are only served over the weekend from Friday to Sunday. This left me with only 4 types of taco options including Al Pastor, Chroizo, Carne Asada, and Pollo. Since I’m tired of chicken and not a big fan of chorizo, it only left me with 2 options- the Al Pastor and the Carne Asada. Most taco places offer shrimp, pulled pork, flavored steak, and flavored pulled pork tacos. The Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos were a bit on the small side and he marinade used wasn’t my favorite. The house made orange and green hot sauces helped make up for the marination short comings but the hot sauces were not quite as good as my favorite taco Food Truck Loli’s Mexican Cravings. Aside from tacos, Taco King Food Truck also serves Quesadillas, Burritos, Quesurittos, and Gringa Flour Tortillas. If you’re looking for a better taco food truck, I highly recommend Loli’s Mexican cravings with better marinades, more meat options, and better house made hot sauces. Loli’s Mexican Cravings is mobile though so you’ll have to check their schedule to see when they’re available. If you’re looking for good tacos in the same area north of the interstate I recommend Taqueria Emanuel off North Macdill and West Columbus.

Chuy’s Night Club – Menu with Prices – Fresno

This is one of the best taco trucks in Fresno! If you are looking for really authentic tacos that taste amazing with tons of topping choices for not much money, this is your taco truck! Here’s why I love it: 1) The tortillas and meats: sooo good! Like at many other trucks, the tacos here are served with just the tortilla and meat so that you can customize them how you like them (see below). The tortillas are really good: they taste freshly made (not sure if they are actually making them in the truck, but they are super fresh none-the-less). The meats are good too: we tried four different meats, and all are yummy. I particularly recommend the al pastor, which is, in fact, cooked on a spit with fresh pineapple (the *only* way to cook al pastor!). Sooo good! 2) The toppings: there are a TON of different options, including both grilled and raw onions (go for the grilled!), beans, jalapenos, cabbage, cilantro, and five different types of salsa (the green is the best!). Also, if you do get al pastor, be sure to ask for fresh pineapple on top! 3) The price: soooo cheap! Most tacos are less than $2 each, so go ahead, eat as many as you want! Other menu options are really cheap too. 4) The staff: super friendly and fast! Why aren’t you eating here yet?!?!

Tacos Fiesta Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 4200 Peralta Blvd, Fremont

OK, first and foremost I’m not ashamed, I’m not scared, nor am I intimidated to order food from a food truck. Such mixed feelings when it comes to food trucks… I get it, I’ve heard many war stories from co-workers about the thin line you walk when ordering food from a food truck. I’ve been told to never eat from a food truck on Mondays because they use the remnants of the weekend’s leftovers, I’ve been told there all just glorified “roach coaches”, yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah and that could all be true, but not at Fiesta Mexicana….I think…..I hope. When it comes to taco trucks, Fiesta Mexicana is legit! I keep it pretty simple and straightforward. I’m not a taco truck connoisseur, nor do I go to multiple locations unless I’m captivated by the scent of a lone taco truck grilling up some carne asada from afar. Usually while I’m washing my car or waiting outside of a local DMV office. For the most part only one, this one, and it’s usually when I’m fresh off work. I come here when I have a specific taste for street style carne asada tacos and to my delight Fiesta Mexicana usually comes through with piping hot well garnished corn tortillas stuffed with carne asada, cilantro, onions and a combination of pickled jalapeños and carrots. A quick lunch fix with hard to beat prices. $1.75 for a taco…Not bad in my opinion. Fiesta Mexicana is a clean, well kept, consistent taco truck that offers tacos, burritos, quesadillas to the local Fremont community. Keep up the good work Fiesta Mexicana for I am a repeat offender. p.s.- CASH ONLY

Taqueria Eva – Menu with Prices – 7603 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring

These are my favorite fajita tacos in the houston area. They make thick soft fresh corn tortillas in house, and they are amazing! The tacos are filling and cheap, 1.75 for corn 2 for flour. The beef fajita tacos are a 5, however the rest are just ok and I bring my own green sauce with me from El Rodeo down the road. The place is a small food stand with a screened in area with a few picnic tables. The service is fast and friendly.
