Sonic Drive-In – Menu with Prices – 12702 Indiana Ave, Lubbock

Ate at this Sonic earlier today. Had a coupon and thought what the heck. Ordered two grilled chicken sandwiches. They were done (we hope) but tough as rubber. French fries were tasty but COLD! Also ordered onion rings which we typically love from Sonic. They had either been reheated or recooked. They were absolutely TERRIBLE!! Probably won’t waste time visiting this location again. Really disappointed. They are very close to our house and we were so glad to see they were in our neighborhood. So sad……

1000 Degrees Pizza Salad Wings – Menu with Prices – 4526 New Linden Hill Rd, Wilmington

After a long day being out and about we decided to stop here, since it was a new pizza spot close to where we live. We generally get our pizza and wings from Anthony’s Coal, directly across the street from 1000 degrees. We ordered pepperoni pizza and wings to go. The pizza was more bread and dough than pizza, and was on par with Domino’s Pizza. The wings were great, but we’re softer than my liking, though still good. After eating a few slices of the pizza, me and the wife looked at each other and said “Anthony’s pizza is 100% better food”. It’s a bit more expensive but the pizza is bigger and more flavorful. If you’re looking for a pizza spot in the area and you’re deciding between the two, go to Anthony’s for quality food. Go to 1000 degrees for inexpensive and quick food

Anthony’s Health Hut & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 5329 Florida Ave S, Lakeland

Great heath food store. You can get daily supplies, vitamin/supplements. It is an organized health food store that cycles through items quickly, so never an old product. **They even make healthy food fresh. I’ve recently tried one of their sandwiches from the deli. It was called the Driz. Very good. Made inside a pita bread with mayo, fresh crunchy lettuce, bean sprouts and tomato with warm, surprisingly juicy, turkey chunks. **It is run by a wonderful woman, Ms. Anthony, who is very informed and gladly willing to give you info if you have questions. It’s also a great local business that has been making ‘Healthy Lakeland’ easier for over 40 years. Proud to buy anything here and support this business and Ms. Anthony.

Fusion Restaurant And Bar | Riverside CA – Menu with Prices – 6749 Brockton Ave, Riverside

Tucked away on Brockton Avenue in Riverside, this place has a hard to find front entrance, but it’s a nice little gem if you find it. The front entrance is through the gate, and not the door on the right hand side of the gate. The place is very clean and well kept, it is quite spacious, and even has a small outdoor seating area. The bar is nice and big, and has comfortable barstools. Looks like they had plenty of alcohol to choose from, I chose water So I order their Spring Roll, it was big! The taste was what you’d expect, fresh and cool. I mean cool as in temperature, this makes for a nice refresher on a hot day. The dipping sauce was good too, they were generous with the sauce, I used up most of it because it was that good. Then I ordered their Spicy Garlic Toothpick Filet Mignon. This was very delicious, the flavor of the meat was on point, had a slight tangy taste, but perfectly salted, and the veggies were great as well. I really enjoyed the taste on this one. And the serving size was perfect for two people (as an appetizer for two people, so each can try). I would order this one again. I proceeded to order their Banh Mi, as this was a recommendation from Anthony, telling me that their sandwiches are pretty good, so I went with the Grilled/BBQ Beef Banh Mi. In the pictures, it looks small and skinny, but that’s because it is served on a french baguette. This skinny sandwich is quite mighty, it packs quite a flavor punch! Anthony was right, it was a great sandwich! It seems plain with its few ingredients, but what makes this sandwich I was told is their housemade mayonnaise and housemade butter. And I would have to agree, it has a certain taste that I cannot quite pinpoint, but IT IS GOOD! I was not disappointed, I thanked Anthony for his recommendation. Anthony was a nice guy, talkative, and great customer service. We even got to talking about Hawaii and he shared some tips for my future visit to Hawaii. All around nice guy, thanks for the help and recommendations Anthony! I would definitely come to this place once again, for lunch, dinner, or for just a quick appetizer snack etc, they have good choices. Oh I forgot to mention, the backside of their menu is dedicated to vegan options, almost all the entire backside is filled with vegan options! I may have to try some of them on my next visit. I highly recommend this place out, and their Banh Mi sandwich

Anthony’s Italian Deli Menu with Prices 5575 Government St, Baton Rouge

We were visiting Baton Rouge for our anniversary and to watch the Bama vs LSU game of the century. We live in Alabama, so we were in enemy territory. My wife has bragged many times about the food she had growing up in Baton Rouge at Anthony’s Deli. We met her BFF and her husband and daughter. The atmosphere at Anthony’s set the tone right away. It was spotless, warm and inviting and expertly decorated to help bring you to Italy. The owners and other employees immediately spotted our Bama attire and in true LSU style let the good times roll. They were so much fun making comments back and forth with us. I felt like I had known these great people forever. They really made us feel at home and welcomed. We ordered the Italian sandwich and it filled our entire plate. It was delicious, until we observed writing on our paper plate beneath the sandwich. It read “Geaux Tigers.” Oh my! We’ve been poisoned!! Love that sense of humor. When we left the restaurant was full of customers and they all had something fun to say to us. If you like great, authentic Italian deli food, don’t waist another day, get to Anthony’s Deli. And if you have are visiting from out of town, wear yourself teams apparel and be prepared to have a jovial time with the staff. Can’t wait to get back to Anthony’s Deli.

Coney Island Hot Weiners – Menu with Prices – 1001 W Douglas Ave, Wichita

This is an update to my initial review. On opening day I had the tamales which were fresh and pretty tasty. I gave the experience a four star review on that day (4 stars for a fast food joint, let’s keep it in context. It wasn’t a 4 star date night review.) However, and I am sad to use that transitioning word, on a subsequent visit my hopes for a successful local business fell. I don’t believe it is a concept issue, as the initial rush to visit, as witnessed, shows that Wichitans want this type of place, it is a product issue. A place called Coney Island should have some of the best dogs around, it doesn’t. I have had better dogs at Sonic and a Sunday visit to Costco will land a significantly better dog and drink for $1.50. Step up the product, even if the initial concept mimics what Coney Dogs used to be, we have evolved since then. I would pay more for a good flavored, grilled, 1/4 pound dog with all the trimmings than for the three you offer in your meal deal. I want you here, I want you successful…there is still time!

Best Kept Secret Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 629 Chelsea Ave, Memphis

This place is a must if you are looking for authentic Memphis Soul Food. We were in search of where the locals eat and were directed here by local residents. This place knows how to take care of you, feed you right, making sure that you enjoyed their food and that you left with a smile on your face. We had the ribs, yams, collard greens and fried chicken. We were SO impressed with the taste and quality of the food. To bad we found this locale on our last day of our visit to Memphis, otherwise, we would have eaten here every day.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza – Menu with Prices – 4035 S Campbell Ave, Springfield

I was a GM for Papa Murphy’s for 3 years and Dominos for 7. I love that I know the ingredients are fresh and don’t have questions about what goes into my pizza when I order. I’m from 1,000 miles away and ordered from this location today. The girl at the register had a couple issues with the text message coupon I used, but got it to the right total in the end without a single grumpy face. Everyone makes mistakes and she handled it with professionalism and a smile. Thanks guys!

Mondrian South Beach Hotel – Menu with Prices – 1100 West Ave, Miami Beach

SIMPLY PUT: WORST HOTEL IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA…..Scroll down to the photos if you don’t want to read my full review but I’m going to describe everything that happened step by step in my 24 hour stay at this hotel. Here it goes: 1. I arrived at 10pm last night to check in and everything went smoothly, and the front desk staff were very nice. 2. I went upstairs to my room and found HAIR IN THE BATHROOM SINK, HAIR IN THE MATTRESS, SMOKED CIGARETTE BUTT ON THE BALCONY, TRASH ON THE BEDROOM RUG, DIRT ON THE KITCHEN SINK HANDLE. 3. Then I called downstairs and spoke with ANTHONY, who is very polite and respectful, who offered to “upgrade” me to a better room. The only difference in the new room was that it had a better view, otherwise it was the same exact room. 4. I then asked Anthony to speak with the nighttime manager, STACY LYNSUE, who was RAISING HER VOICE, CUTTING ME OFF, NOT LISTENING TO ME OR MY CONCERNS, and then proceeded to say that she will refund me the $30 resort fee and “upgrade” me to an identical room. 5. I was then taken up to the second room by Anthony, where the first thing I saw was A FULL TRAY OF HALF EATEN ROOM SERVICE FOOD RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR OF THE ROOM. 6. Once I walked into the second room, there were MULTIPLE PIECES OF PAPER AND PLASTIC TRASH ON THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR AND LIVING ROOM COUCH. There was also CIGARETTE ASH ON THE BATHROOM TOWEL! 7. At this point, I was obviously tired since it was almost midnight, but I could not stay in the second room given the trash everywhere so I was forced to ask for a different room. If it weren’t 12am, I would have left the hotel but I was exhausted and in no mood to start searching for other hotels. 8. I then went downstairs to speak with STACY LYNSUE in person about my concerns. When I met STACY at the front desk, she treated me exactly the same way she did when I spoke with her earlier on the phone. STACY WAS RUDE, SHORT, CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTING ME WHEN I WAS CALMLY TRYING TO JUST EXPRESS MY CONCERNS TO HER and then SHE SIGHED AND ROLLED HER EYES AT ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE! 9. At this point, I told her exactly this: “I don’t appreciate the way that you are treating me given these circumstances and I expect more respect from a hotel assistant manager than to sigh and roll your eyes at me. Her reply to this was “SIR I DID NOT ROLL MY EYES AT YOU.” I then replied to her “EXCUSE ME, BUT I JUST SAW YOU SIGH AND ROLL YOUR EYES, YOU ARE STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME”. She had no reply to this. 10. I then went up to the THIRD ROOM which STACY told me was inspected by Anthony and confirmed to be cleaned. I hate to make assumptions but how do I know Anthony didn’t just go into the room a few minutes before and cleaned up any obvious trash or any other signs of filth right before I went up there? But at this point 2 hours had passed since I got to the hotel and I had no choice but to go up to the THIRD ROOM. 11. Upon walking into the THIRD ROOM, everything seemed clean upon first inspection, and then I saw LITTLE HAIRS SCATTERED AROUND THE TOILET SEAT!! (See photos below) 12. You can imagine how I felt at this point, but I could not stay in this room and was subsequently switched to yet A FOURTH ROOM which was totally clean until I looked at the bed and found DIRT STAINS ON THE BEDSHEETS!! (See photos below) 13. At this point, I could no longer bounce around from room to room and simply told Anthony that I would stay in this room as long as the bedsheets were replaced with clean ones. Anthony’s reply was exactly this: “THERE IS NO ONE HERE OVERNIGHT IN THE HOUSEKEEPING DEPARTMENT AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE HERE THAT IS TRAINED IN REPLACING BEDSHEETS”….I WAS UTTERLY SHOCKED AND SPEECHLESS WITH THIS ANSWER!!! “TRAINED IN REPLACING BEDSHEETS?!?!?!?!?”, is this a joke?? 14. Anthony then replied to me saying that he would change the sheets himself but it would take “a little time&#

Serafina Back Bay – Menu with Prices – 237 Newbury St, Boston

I actually once composed an instrumental piece named “Sarafina” for my baby niece many years ago. Always brought a smile to my face whenever I played it back. Glad to add yet another “Serafina” to my happy place. Our server Antonio was as pleasant as a modern-day young Santa Clause. Cheerful, and with absolutely conviction on the items he loved on the menu. I love a server with conviction! First thing he recommended for our salad choice was the Arugula Parmigiano. I rarely eat this because for such a simple dish, may places get it wrong. It was so good, we ordered another after we finished the first one. Loved it! 5/5! Second on the list was the fried calamari. Again, a dish so simple I remain dumbfounded that so many get it wrong. You want it done right? Come here! Perfection, perfection, perfection! The third must-have was the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. Omg good! Again….. so good we ordered a second one after we polished off the first one! It reminded me so much of my mother’s recipe I was almost brought me to tears. These 3 dishes alone are worth many more future visits. We did order a couple pizza dishes, the Margherita and Alla Norcina (mushroom and sausage). Ours were slightly over-cooked on the dough, and while good, probably need to be tasted again when they get the dough right. Was it was, I’d give it a 4/5. Definitely a top recommend place for the Back Bay!

Veghada Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 5912 Old York Rd, Philadelphia

I was disappointed and immediately uplifted when I stumbled across this gem. I wanted something vegetarian but was not familiar of any places in the area. I was on my way to Popeyes to get some fries when I caught a glimpse riding by. Man ole man did I have a big smile on my face. Well let me say this… the food I ordered did not disappoint at all. I ordered the hot veggie lamb wrap and the flavors were on point. I will definitely be returning and this will be my go to spot. In addition, they have a variety of fresh blended juices to choose from but I came for the food.
