This studio was the most historically beautiful space I have ever had the privilege of enjoying classical pieces in. Would go back a million times over for almost any type of acoustic performance!

Million Dollar Makeover Studio LLC – Menu with Prices – 325 N Alma School Rd Ste 2, Chandler

I am not easily impressed but Million Dollar Makeover Studio is Fantastic. The Spa is so Beautiful, Quiet and Full of Zen. Iâ??m actually getting Coolsculpting right now and had to share my experience. I had Coolsculpting before from 2 other places in Chandler. Bodify & LaserAway. I felt like they were trying to sell me packages worth over 4-6K NO WAY!! I contacted Million Dollar Makeover Studio and I spoke to Venessa the owner she answered all my questions & is highly informative. She really makes you feel at home. Iâ??m from the Midwest and Itâ??s so refreshing to see a genuine person Now a days. You can tell she really wants to help you & not trying to take your money like other places. Iâ??m getting a full makeover Hair, Fashion, Coolsculpting, Microneedling and Microblading. I love this place because they offer everything minus nails. Literally a one stop shop. If you want to feel inspired, confidence and just have a blast then you have to book Venessa! She will guide you and give you her honest opinion.

LaLaLå! Jivamukti Yoga Los Angeles – Menu with Prices – 421 Colyton St, Los Angeles

Wow. Wow!  WOW!  I just took my first two classes at Jivamukti LA, the new yoga studio.  And I liked it so much I am back again today!  I have to say if you are looking for a yoga studio in Los Angeles, and are reading my review, I think maybe you just found your studio. The place is magical and inviting, a cool hip blend of design, art and industrial space in the arts district in DTLA. There is such warmth and love here.  The space radiates the energy of its owner HaChi, whose classes I was lucky enough to take on my first visit.  There is something about practicing yoga with a master teacher that is truly transformative.  They inspire you to be your best.  And here in the heart of LA; there is exactly that with HaChi and her yoga studio. I find myself leaving two types of reviews on Yelp, those that warn others of a very bad experience to avoid and those where it was so special, so amazing I want everyone to experience it.  My visit to Jivamukti LA was the latter, times ten. This is not yoga organized by a large corporation, but rather a beautiful space created from the heart and passion of the individual owner wants to share her knowledge and love of the yogic teachings. It’s special, in that way and a real gem for Los Angeles Finally, a word about the location, it’s in the arts-district of DTLA, and I was very hesitant to drive “all the way from Pasadena.”  But here’s the secret to DTLA that is so easy to forget.  Downtown is centrally located and is, in fact, so close – to most everything!  It took me just a bit over 35 min in evening rush-hour to make the trip.  It would be the same from Hollywood and a host of other places in LA.  So, don’t let the location put you off trying it.  Also, I was easily able to find street parking nearby.   So, give it a try. I think you might have found your yoga studio! (Really!!)

Goodtimes Yoga – Menu with Prices – 97 N 10th St, Brooklyn

This is a wonderful local studio! What the owner has done with the space is absolutely beautiful as soon as you enter you feel automatically welcomed, relaxed & at home! The space welcomes all levels! I love that they have all new equipment and yoga mats ready to go for you! They have the most amazing seating area with tall ceilings & the most delicious tea! all adds to the great vibe. Exactly what you need to start, continue or end your day! My instructor Karina was Phenomenal! She’s an amazing instructor with a wealth of knowledge and passionate in her teaching! She works around the room so everyone feels the personal touch. She knew how to guide depending on each persons personal level. One of the best teachings I’ve had in a very long time. You can tell she’s there out of pasión for the practice! I highly recommend this studio! My picture doesn’t do this place justice. But trying to share share how beautiful the seating room area for tea / relax time is!

The Space Between – Menu with Prices – 222 W Hubbard Street, Lower Level SE, Chicago

From exploring the website, I gathered that the organization was independent and intentional, a nice break from the corporate studios in Chicago. Before class, Catherine connected with students to understand what muscles or areas her audience was interested in working on during class. Towels, mats, and blocks are provided for free and mat positions are selected before class even begins. Brilliant idea that allows instructor to control mat spacing and students to select positioning without any communication. The space itself is quaint and beautifully decorated. Some of the studio walls are built with exposed brick, the are chandeliers hanging from the ceiling with dimly lit bulbs, and candle filled lanterns are scattered around the floor. While aesthetically pleasing, the dark room encouraged me to focus on my movement and individual practice rather than the external environment. As the studio grows, I have a couple suggestions to improve student experiences. I encourage the website to maintain instructor bios to allow students to understand teacher’s styles before selecting a class. I found the spacing in between mats insufficient and at times worried the woman in front of me may accidentally kick my head during inversion play. The lockers are quite small to fit work bags and there was only one bathroom and one changing room. Overall the space was beautiful and warming and class was a memorable and eccentric experience ? I appreciate the small scale of the studio and realize some of my suggestions are dependent on space and resources. Cheers to the female entrepreneur who opened the space between!

Legends In Concert – Menu with Prices – 2925 Hollywood Dr, Myrtle Beach

Would recommend everyone to go. Went last night 7/2/2019. Amazing show. Opened with Luke Bryan, then Bob Marley, Blues Brothers, Lady Gaga, Elvis. The performance was excellent from all the entertainers. The Dancers and band were to perfection. Luke Bryanâ??s singing knocked it out of the park. Bob Marleyâ??s performance was exceptional and great tribute to an excellent singer. The Blues Brothers excellent performance brought me back to my High School days watching Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi together. Lady Gaga was great with her performance with one hell of a voice, Amazing beautiful voice! Canâ??t have a proper Legend concert without The King! Elvis performance was great. It brought me back further in time to elementary school when I brought my sisterâ??s Elvis album to school and the teacher played it. We all jumped around to Hound Dog! Excellent performances. Highly recommend seeing the show!

The Sanctuary – Menu with Prices – 432 Goldthwaite St, Montgomery

Spectacular event space for live music, dancing, community events, and so much more! The historic building is beautiful, the acoustics are perfect, and there’s a world class recording studio next door that can feed their sound directly into the sanctuary!!!

ZAMZUU OPPORTUNITY – Menu with Prices – 1116 W Orange Ave, Tallahassee

My husband and I went on an immersion here with Driftour and were totally blown away! What a cool space to learn a new craft! I was nervous to work with the glass and fire but Jeff was a totally awesome teacher and made me feel like a pro. There was also a lot of cool stuff in their gallery area including some pieces by some cool artists I already know. Chantel gave us a tour of the studio areas and educated us about some really cool features about their space. I can?t wait to come back here for some of their future events and classes.

Georgia Symphony Orchestra – Menu with Prices – Marietta Performing Arts Center, 1171 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY POPS! My husband and I recently attended the JCSO Christmas Holiday Pops concert, which was held at the Johns Creek United Methodist Church, (JCUMC) on Medlock Bridge. This was our first full experience attending the symphony in Johns Creek. The symphony performed along with the very polished Johns Creek Chorale. The venue is absolutely beautiful but, it is a sanctuary and not a concert hall. This is an issue because the room is furnished with very narrow, uncushioned church pews. The seating was very uncomfortable and really puzzling when you consider that this is a relatively modern space, with a very mature audience. During intermission, everyone “had to” stand up just to stretch their backs and adjust. I can honestly say that I have not sat on pews like these in decades and would only expect to see them in a very old building. Ironically, our performances are usually held in restored historic theaters, with much better seats. The performances were top-notch and I was super impressed with the chorale which is now in its second year. When it comes to Christmas music, I want it traditional and nostalgic. I want to know that I am at a CHRISTMAS concert. The first portion of the concert was dominated by unfamiliar selections and interesting arrangements which affected my ability to stay engaged. During intermission, I chatted with a couple of women who commented on the unfamiliar music and lack of energy during the first half of the performance. I agreed. However, following intermission the concert picked up significantly with more familiar and energetic selections. By far the most exciting performance was that of Sleigh Ride which included great special effects and reminded me of the type of performance you would expect from a more youthful orchestra. When it comes to Christmas performances, I tend to prefer those that are performed by youth choirs and orchestras because the energy is great and you always come away with that feeling of nostalgia and great memories of Christmas’s past. Regardless of the genre of music, I like being snatched up and taken away to a point where nothing else matters. The last great Christmas performance I attended was performed by the Chattanooga Boys Choir and they had me from beginning to end. I still remember the tears streaming down my face as they were performing. It was an incredible five-star performance. During their next Christmas performance, I hope that they consider a more comfortable venue and a more traditional selection of music. Meanwhile, I will still support the Johns Creek Symphony. However, that support is more likely to be at a summer concert in the park where I can bring my own comfortable chair! ***We were still feeling that back ache this morning!

Nothing But Lashes – Menu with Prices – 21003 Highland Knolls Dr Unit 300, Katy

Nothing But Lashes is a Studio Salon so it’s very private and personal. Nina is a very talented individual who’s goal is to provide beautiful lashes in a relaxing environment. Service: I have selected to get regular set of lashes. Even tho I asked for a regular set she made my lashes look very voluminous. Her attention to detail is quite frankly scary. She leaves no space in between my lashes. She gives me very detailed instructions for after care for my lashes. Cleanliness: The studio it self is very clean. Her tools are sealed in those sterile blue pouches so you know she’s using a clean set every time. Relaxation: Her bed is equipped with a massage pad underneath *drools*. She plays appropriate music to the appropriate client. She makes sure you are comfortable before starting the service by providing you with a blanket if you’re cold and turning on the massage table. In the end I would be recommending Nina to anyone that wants to get their lashes done.

Claire Trevor School of the Arts – Menu with Prices – University of California Irvine, 4002 Mesa Rd, Irvine

My friend and I came for the Summer 2018 showing of The Winter’s Tale, a lesser known Shakespearian dramedy that more than exceeded expectations. Theater: The theater itself is modeled after the classic Globe Theater in London with tiered seating in a ring around a central staging area. We bought Groundlings tickets for padded seats on the floor of the theater. Groundlings seats were first come, first serve so we picked seats closer to the center and had a nearly unobstructed view of the performance. Unfortunately, we were seated next to/partially under a stairway that the cast used during the performance, so our view was partially obstructed at times. That said, I loved the experience of being so close to the actors and didn’t feel that the obstruction detracted from the performance. Would caution that I am petite and could fully extend my legs, but the tall gentleman seated next to me had his legs folded during the performance to avoid blocking the actors. These seats are small and on the floor and would not be comfortable for those with back problems. Acting/Performance: Loved the retelling of The Winter’s Tale as a Victorian dramedy with actors dressed in period pieces. Most of the actors are BFA/MFA graduates or instructors from UCI giving the performance a “family” feel. Acting was top notch and the show was fantastic. Logistics: Parking is available on the UCI campus for $10 in a covered lot. We arrived about an hour prior to curtain call because we wanted to have optimal choice of seats, but since doors open 15 minutes prior to showtime, this was unnecessary. We were also told by staff that Student Rush tickets are actually open to the public and that we could come back for free tickets for the sold out Midsummer Night’s Dream production. We had seen students waiting in the Student Rush line when we arrived, so would definitely return next year to take advantage of that perk. Overall: We loved the New Swan Theater’s ambiance and performance of The Winter’s Tale. Looking forward to returning next year!

The WaterFire Arts Center – Menu with Prices – 475 Valley St, Providence

Beautiful venue and definitely unique in style and structure. Attended the play “The Large Jar,” a short piece in connection to the Fringe PVD program. We were seated in the “Garage” which, by all means, is just a garage. But it’s simplicity sort of allows you to fall into the performance at hands… similar to a Black Box theater, just with white walls. Plenty of convenient parking, and plenty of space for all types of programs. A hip vibe, but very inviting and casual.

ProWax by Yani – Menu with Prices – 3015 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles

I am so happy to find Yani’s waxing studio. This is a very nice, private space in a beautiful building in Atwater village. Yani is very professional, sensitive and warm – she also took the time to make sure every hair was gone. ? She uses a French blue wax that is absolutely the best. It’s so nice to have her in the neighborhood. She’s also very affordable, esp. given the level of her personalized service. There’s parking behind the building, cute places to grab a coffee before or after right down the block. The care she takes means that you are not going to be picking wax off your body for a week. By the way, for some reason this platform has hidden a bunch of other reviews! I really like going to a welcoming, inclusive space — those reviews are legit.
