Great go-to deli for lunch! I am a frequent flyer here of their lunch menu & grabbing party food items. *TIP*: Pick up the crab and brie dip & be prepared for endless compliments at your next party. Your welcome. Lunch favorites: -Roast beef po’ boy- this is the closest style I have eaten in BR that resembles many in NOLA. It’s messy, its juicy, its delish! -Strawberry spinach salad with Steak (chunks of tender beef & grilled portabellas) OR blackened SHRIMP (My usual I could eat that every damn day) -For you chicken salad lovers- top 5 in Baton Rouge for sure -BLT & Rustic specialty sandwiches are divine & fresh! I will probably go thru the entire menu before I die or before the end of the month. Their freezer is filled with pre-made food for a quick and easy dinner. And they have some other grocery style items & seafood/meat market. **ADVICE: call ahead and order takeout. Slim parking & seating. Has a tendency to have long wait times during peak lunch hours.**

Rotisseri Deli – Menu with Prices – 200 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland

I’m surprised the average of these reviews isn’t higher. If you’re looking for a solid lunch-time salad bar with hot food items, this is a reliable place. Come during typical lunch hours and there’s usually plenty of food filled to the brim. You can also order sandwiches, and that’s a separate line. If you’re opting for the buffet style salad-bar/hot foods, then pick up a plastic container against the wall by the door and start filling it up… but be careful, the price is by weight and it adds up really quickly, especially if you want to try to keep it under the $10 range. The sole fish (Asian style – marinated with green onions, soy sauce, vinegar, etc.) is a great option for something healthy and tender. It’s really popular here with people stacking up pieces of the fish! Actually reminds me of my mom’s great homemade fish. You can’t find this anywhere else in the area, and it’s hard to find fish in the area, period so if you need some Omega-3 then you’ll do alright here. The hot foods item features mainly Asian dishes — chow mein, fried rice, veggie stir fry, potstickers (these tend to be a bit hard here though), soy sauce string beans, egg rolls, thai curry. But there’s also fried fish, and items like lasagna sometimes. The salad bar is what you’d expect but also a bit more — there’s various cold noodles, some sushi, brussel sprouts…chances are whatever cold item you’re looking for will be here. Service tends to be prompt and speedy! They get you in and out.

Pink Masquerade Menu with Prices 11080 Old Roswell Rd, Alpharetta

“First step, pizza. second step, flaming batons…” — Miss Congeniality (2000) Ahhhh, Bob. Everyone has said just about everything there is to say about you. You are an institution in Midtown Atlanta. You create such a positive, happy aura around you wherever you go. This particular encounter was at brunch – Bob walked past us (we were inside 10th & Piedmont while he was on the corner outside). Bob did his usual strutting, blowing his whistle, directing traffic (both auto and foot) and making the spectacle that is Baton Bob. Thru the open window, he points to a member at our table as if a promise of more to come. Before we know it, Bob has come into the restaurant and is having a glass of champagne at a table in the other room. And again, Bob points at our table, but this time at my friend Nick. But this time, he decides that Nick is adorable and he might need to come and give him a smooch…Nick looked nervous. Bob worked the entire restaurant and joy and mirth was spread all around. As is Baton Bob. If you see a man in costume, with a baton and/or blowing a whistle, strutting through Midtown Atlanta, stop and watch and take him in – this is the institution know as Baton Bob!

Anthony’s Italian Deli Menu with Prices 5575 Government St, Baton Rouge

We were visiting Baton Rouge for our anniversary and to watch the Bama vs LSU game of the century. We live in Alabama, so we were in enemy territory. My wife has bragged many times about the food she had growing up in Baton Rouge at Anthony’s Deli. We met her BFF and her husband and daughter. The atmosphere at Anthony’s set the tone right away. It was spotless, warm and inviting and expertly decorated to help bring you to Italy. The owners and other employees immediately spotted our Bama attire and in true LSU style let the good times roll. They were so much fun making comments back and forth with us. I felt like I had known these great people forever. They really made us feel at home and welcomed. We ordered the Italian sandwich and it filled our entire plate. It was delicious, until we observed writing on our paper plate beneath the sandwich. It read “Geaux Tigers.” Oh my! We’ve been poisoned!! Love that sense of humor. When we left the restaurant was full of customers and they all had something fun to say to us. If you like great, authentic Italian deli food, don’t waist another day, get to Anthony’s Deli. And if you have are visiting from out of town, wear yourself teams apparel and be prepared to have a jovial time with the staff. Can’t wait to get back to Anthony’s Deli.

Chicken Salad Chick – Menu with Prices – 3341 Regent Blvd Suite 100 Suite 100, Irving

WHAT WE ORDERED: They have several different types of chicken salad flavors here and all of the ones I tried off of the menu were excellent. It just depends on your personal taste. Below are my favorites: – Lauryn’s Lemon Basil: For all you lemon lovers. 4/5 – Cranberry Kelli: This one was my mom’s favorite! It’s a good one for people who like to mix savory and sweet. 4/5 – Jalapeno Holly: The one to pick if you want a kick of spice! It’s not super spicy though just FYI for all you spicy lovers. 4/5 – Curry Chicken Salad: This was MY FAVORITE! Chicken salad was always one of my favorite quick lunches to make. I remember a time when I tried to get “creative” with my chicken salads and mixing in curry powder and loved it. So of course I would love this new flavor! 4/5 SERVING: – Chicken Salads – Salads – Sandwiches – They even have packaged chicken salads for you to take home and make future sandwiches or salads WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO ORDERING NEXT – Trying the chicken salads again PARKING: Parking lot in front

Kiwi Kuisine Menu with Prices 4550 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria

Come on, everyone, who doesn’t like a good, meaty hand pie? That’s what I thought, no one. One day in October I realized I needed a tire patched. Ugh. So I went to a place in Alexandria and, while I was pulling up, I noticed this pie place. Did I mention that I was hungry? So, while I waited for my tire to be patched (which took like 15 minutes and no waiting – but that’s another amazing story), I headed over. They’ve got pies they can warm to go, sweet pies in the case, and a freezer full of hand pies to go. And to go they went. I loaded up on freezer pies, who cares that my freezer has no room for pies (i made room) and got one beef pie to go. No regrets. The pie I had to go hit the spot, it was delicious. The crust is great, the filling is great. It was great. Over time I’ve tried a bunch of other ones that have been in my freezer. Beef and Stout, Shepards Beef Pie, Lamb Pie, Vegetable, Chicken. I’ve never been disappointed. You can microwave or oven bake them. They’re good both ways. Obviously the crust will be better in the oven. But, sometimes time is an issue. Great for bringing to work. Go there, get some. The end!

Johnny’s Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 1191 Hertel Ave, Buffalo

Such a convenient spot on Hertel for your meat needs! Lunch meat/cheeses to prepared pasta salads to fresh bacon (meaty and so tasty! Also cant beat the price at $3.89lb!), chicken, ground beef, to housemade sausage and sahlens hotdogs and eggs…they have quite the variety. I was even pleased to find Rootie’s blue cheese!! Thank you! The workers were super friendly and everyone that came in the store they knew by first name. A fellow patron recommended to try the shrimp salad…never had such a thing but he insisted it was one of his staples. Let. Me. Tell. You. That shrimp salad was sooo good! I have no clue what exactly is in it but I will be returning for more! Also there is a whole homemade freezer section where you can find a variety of soups, homemade sauce and meatballs, and a variety of prepared full meals ready for your oven! They have an assortment of grocery items that would be super convenient to grab instead of going to a large grocery store for “just one thing.” They sell gondola pasta items and Luigi’s rolls and other local items as well. I will def be returning…so many things left to try!

Thai Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4250 Barranca Pkwy U, Irvine

And the line was out the door, the entire restaurant had every seat filled on a Saturday night at 7:30 PM. So this time we arrived at 6:00 PM and were seated on Wednesday. The decor is as it first was many years ago, read not updated. The staff remains very small, with service waits due to this. They all are trying to do all the jobs. Except the cooks. While efficient and cheerful, you sometimes wish for one more person to take orders or get the take outs going. They do one heck of a take out business it seems. The food is just so so, I hate to say. Some dishes though are pretty good. Portions are large, in part to make up for this? We had the Spring Rolls, Beef Salad, Pad Thai and Coconut Ice Cream. Ice Cream was the best, Spring Rolls next. Beef Salad was a bit too spicy and the Pad Thai just fell flat. The beef, chicken and shrimp came in less amounts than I remember from previous visits. We will probably eat here again, just because our favorite Thai restaurant is further away and a longer drive.

Figgy’s Sandwich Shop – Menu with Prices – 619 Chestnut St, Chattanooga

Amazing work staff! This is the place where they will remember you by name and if you become a regular they will have your order memorized, and ready to go once you get to the register. The Sandwiches are delicious!! The sandwiches are your regular turkey, ham, roast beef, ruben, chicken and tuna salad, ect. However, you get so much meat on your sandwich and it comes with chips or pasta salad. You really get your monies worth here!! The fruit tea is amazing and I highly recommend getting it! Annnndd the brownies, don’t forget to get a brownie!! They are so amazing, it’s nothing you’ve ever had before. Great local lunch place!!

Guang Lin American and Asian Fusion Cafe – Menu with Prices – 147 S Del Rosa Dr, San Bernardino

I ordered a cheeseburger lol at this place. Let me tell you it was the worst thing I’ve ever had. Ended up with a club sandwich. Basic meats nothing special about it. I know they make Chinese dood but don’t advertise that you also have other items . The owner was nice came and spoke to us at the table when I complained. The burger tasted like freezer. That old freezer taste. He was kind enough to exchange my meal. As I said he came to ask me what was wrong. The place was clean . Not busy I think it was the time of day. They are near the airport in San Bernardino so they are busy during the week for lunch. It has a private parking lot.

Mandarin Chinese & Japanese Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 2618 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica

This place is shockingly bad. Me and a co-worker ordered two lunch specials and a Chinese chicken salad. We got Mongolian beef and garlic chicken. Both were extremely flavorless and seemingly cooked without any sort of sauce. I mentioned this because on the bottom of each of our containers was a pool of smelly water. It was gross. My beef was stringy and so was the chicken, of which they don’t give you very much in the first place. There were also very few vegetables from what each dish had advertised. Chinese chicken salad was not a Chinese chicken salad, it was lettuce, chicken, and Chinese dressing. No wontons, nothing but massive amounts of lettuce, a few tomatoes and a small portion of chicken. I should have taken a picture of the food before we ate it, but I managed to get a picture of the Chinese chicken salad. I used to think it was probably pretty difficult to mess up Chinese food, but this place did it in Grand Style.

One Way Foods – Menu with Prices – 1740 11 Ave SW, Calgary

Stopped in here today to grab something for lunch as I was at an IT security meeting a little long. At first I was expecting to pick up a bag of chips as I assumed it was your typical community convenience store. It has the usual items and certainly had my planned lunch of a coke, bag of lays and maybe a beef jerky, it I left all that for the taco special. Wow! That had to have been the best soft taco I have ever had. It was massive for the $6. This store is also a deli and they have a large assortment of fresh made sandwiches and paninis. Prices are reasonable for a fresh bite to eat compared to the packaged lunch items you would find at a typical franchise chain store like Macs or 7-eleven.

Adrian’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 11120 Antioch Rd, Overland Park

Adrian’s is a diner without any thrills or frills, but I’ll tell you what, they get the job DONE! They do sandwiches like French dips, turkey clubs, BLTs, tuna salad, egg salad, etc. All your favorite deli type staples. They offer salads, soups, chips, homemade sweets, pickles, and soft drinks including tea. Great place for lunch as they do a lunch special. When you enter, you get in line and give them your order kind of like what you would do at a subway. I ordered a turkey club and I got my choice of break and cheese, and then they asked what toppings. It through me off a bit because I couldn’t actually see what they had, but since I ordered a club I just got your typical club things. They hand you your sandwich and you move through the line to pay. Now, I am NOT exaggerating when I say this is the best turkey club I’ve ever had. The bread is just out of this world. It looks thick, but fear not, it’s so light and fluffy it doesn’t over power the sandwich at all. They started with a hunk of fresh cooked turkey, and warm CRISPY bacon, then your other standard club items. It was delicious. I’d you’re looking for a quick, satiating bite to eat in a laid back environment (some booths, tables, seat yourself-after-you-pay-style) definitely give Adrian’s a go! I can’t wait to go back to try their other sandwiches!
