We got our Diwali party’s catering done recently through Maqnatis. 5 star to the catering company for following: 1. Accepting the catering order in a very short notice 2. Punctuality. The food was right on the time they promised 3. Taste: everyone in the party appreciated the taste and the little left over we had, had many takers ? Bonus: we forgot to get the serving spoons. The person who came to deliver the food got it along and asked if we needed it. Magnatis, you have made the impression and place for all our future catering services. One feedback on food though would be- provide butter Nan next time onwards or for default as tandoori nan with no butter gets dry as it gets cold.

Rouses Market Menu with Prices 600 Arlington Creek, Center Ct Blvd, Baton Rouge

ROUSES!!! The Louisiana superstore!! Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. In every department I went through, at least two employees asked if I needed anything. In the meat department, I was asked 4 times! The butcher block delivers on there promise of fresh cut because what I desired was just that, freshly cut to my specifications. This is the epitome of customer service. The store was really busy and the employees were still able to give excellent service. The seafood department is the same way. There were no boiled crabs available and I was informed that if I had 15 minutes to spare, they would boil some for me! Once again, the epitome of CUSTOMER SERVICE. While I waited. I visited the sushi bar for a Teriyaki bowl that I was able to partake in at the sitting area while I watched tv, all provided by Rouses. The store director/manager was walking around making sure customers were satisfied and that everything was where it needed to be. If you need anything, I’m am confident that this Rouses can provide it. From fresh flowers, fresh sushi, to boudin, Rouses can provide it! Oh did I mention, they deliver! That’s right Rouses delivers! All you have to do is order at Rouses.com and they will deliver. I’m not sure the limits on the delivery service, but I applaud the fact that this service is offered. Rouses, home of the holy trinity and my business!

Rocky Mountain BBQ Catering Ltd. – Menu with Prices – 5303 68 Ave SE #321, Calgary

I recently hired Rocky Mountain BBQ for an outdoor catering event and I can’t say enough great things. Braden was professional and courteous making the best possible suggestions for my needs. The staff at the event were fantastic, personable and efficient. Above all the baked beans were INSANE and could be considered a food group on their own! THANK YOU Rocky Mountain catering for being affordable, accommodating and providing an amazing meal. I would absolutely work with this group for future events and would recommend them for any event as they provide a fusion of upscale dining mixed with backyard home cookn’. Absolutely perfect!

Luigi’s Pizza Menu with Prices 5011 Arctic Blvd H, Anchorage

Please keep in mind before reading this that this is only my second Yelp review I have done within a year (my first and only other review was a positive one). I do not do this often only when it is warranted. I had no idea that a calazone could both be burnt and raw at the same time. But Luigi’s managed it. I had one delivered and as soon as I opened the box I could smell and see how burnt it was on top. I thought “oh well, I will just take off the top burnt level and eat it”. Good thing I did that because then I got to see the raw pizza dough instead of tasting it.When I called to let them know, I could hear the owner in the back ground tell the employee who answered the call that next time I ordered I could get a credit. No one offered to deliver a new one or even apologized. I heard the owner say they were too busy to deliver a new one. I then asked for a credit on my current order. It took talking to three people, with the owner finally getting on the phone to have him give me a credit after I let him know that I would not be ordering anything with them in the future after the service I had to deal with. I know mistakes happen and not every person/business is perfect but it is the way the person/business takes care of the mistake that matters.

Royal Curry Lafayette – Menu with Prices – 4510 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Suite- J, Lafayette

We were in the mood for Indian food, and this is close to our home, so we gave it a shot. It was fairly busy, which is a good sign. The place is somewhat more modern than what I’m use to, and it was really opened. We had the following: Chili Paneer – fried paneer with spring onions and ginger – I felt like this was really bland and had no flavor Garlic Naan – tandoor baked white flour bread seasoned with fresh garlic and cilantro – the naan was delicious, I wished I had ordered two orders, but did not want to wait Butter chicken – clay oven baked chicken, cooked in rich tomato butter cream sauce – the butter chicken was nice and creamy, really delicious and flavorful Tandoori Chicken – grilled chicken thigh marinated in yogurt & spices – took awhile for the tandoori to come out, it was hot and fresh when it came out, but there was a lack of flavor Overall, not a bad place to try Indian food, I would probably try other stuff there.

Once Upon A Grill Menu with Prices 1947, 3148 Packard St, Ann Arbor

I met up with a friend and as we were walking in, a group of 6 walked in front of us and as you can imagine, they did order a lot of food. We ordered the following items: – Butter Chicken – Mutton Curry – Fish Tandoori The owner told us it would take longer then usual and sure enough it took a while… we got there at 6:15pm and it took an hour before we got our food. Seemed like the owner was already backed up with few orders, on top of the orders for the group of 6 ahead of us. So what did I think of their food? – Butter Chicken – the dish has heavy butter taste, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the dish. Pour the curry and chicken on top of the rice and if you like it spicy, order it spicy! The dish really only has two things – curry and pieces of chicken breast. – Mutton Curry – the lamb meat was moist, perfectly cooked and the bones felt off the meat without any issues. They give you a lot of meat in this dish. If you don’t eat lamb because of the smell, then don’t fear, this dish did not have any lamb meat smell. – Fish Tandoori – the name threw me off… expected to be tandoori dish based upon the name, but it was more like blackened fish with grilled veggies on bed of rice. Don’t get me wrong, the flavor department was super packed and the dish was delicious!! Seating is limited to counter top style along the walls, this is mainly a takeout joint. I would recommend you order ahead and take the food home. Looks like the owner is the only person running the joint, so expect some delays. I would highly recommend that you order ahead and pick it up. On the food aspect, the flavors were excellent, I had no complaint on the food itself… the only draw back was the long wait… yes I appreciated the owner saying it would take longer then usual, didn’t expect an hour wait for the food… but at the end, the wait was worth it… next time, I’ll call ahead and pick up the food and eat there. While the wait was too long, I’m giving 4 stars for the food experience. Also keep in mind, some of the items you order, they might not be able to fulfill… we wanted to order BBQ for 2 people and was told that was not feasible, just have backup order plans just in case.

TW’s-AFAB Catering – Menu with Prices – 217 W Latimer St, Tulsa

We utilized TW’s AFAB Catering for our wedding and were very pleased with both the service and the food. Everything was ready to go right at pick-up time (they also deliver, of course, if you prefer) and the platters were beautifully arranged and easy to set up in just a few minutes between the ceremony and reception. However, probably the best part about this company is that they are extremely affordable. You will be able to offer your guests a much nicer experience than you would get from other caterers for the same price. Our order was fairly simple, and they worked with us to create the menu that we were looking for: build-your-own sandwich platters, crudités with dip and tortilla chips and two kinds of salsa, along with lemonade and tea. Everything was delicious and beautiful. They provided a banquet tablecloth and all the serving ware, cups, plates, napkins, plasticware, etc. (They can also provide fancier plates and silverware, but ours was an outdoor event, so we opted for plastic.) Of course, they can do much grander setups as well, including full sit-down meals. They can even arrange servers and bartenders for your event. If you’re planning an event and need catering, I highly recommend scheduling a consultation with TW’s. You’ll be glad you did!

Empire Bagels – Menu with Prices – 3101 Westchester Ave, The Bronx

Placed a catering order for a school event with Empire Bagels and it was such a hassle to 1. Place an order and 2. Get an invoice from them. It’s a good thing I know Spanish because that was the only way I was able to even place a catering order (just saying if you needed to place a catering order, get someone who speaks Spanish). At first, the phone kept getting passed around from employee to employee, to someone who could understand that I wanted to place a catering order. After I got through to someone, they finally told me to call the next morning, to talk to the boss. I called the next morning and the boss wasn’t there, I was told that catering orders should be placed the day before or 2 days before the event. I understood and agreed to call the following week.

Everest Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 6401 SE 14th St, Des Moines

None of us had ever been to Everest before. Of course it’s proximity to Romantix meant that Nova knew exactly where it was because she is a frequent visitor to that establishment. Nova decided at some point during the day that she wanted Indian. Me on the other hand had been craving papusa’s so of course she got her way. We were joined by our son and his woman. I am so proud of my of our future daughter in law. When we first met her (and she is way outta my son’s league) she was your typical, leary of any food other then meat and potatoes. Since then she has expanded her culinary taste buds exponentially and isn’t afraid to try almost anything. Everest is Nepali and Indian cuisine and with a lunch buffet Tues – Sun 11-3 and dinner from 5 – 10 also Tues – Sun. They are closed on Mondays. Why are all the Indian restaurants in Des Moines closed on Monday? We got there somewhere around 8:45 give or take and were the only people there. It was Saturday night. Traditionally I try to go as late as possible to avoid the crowds because I’m not a peoplely person. The kid who waited on us though was awesome. We ordered the paneer pakora as an appetizer. The garlic naan, onion klucha naan and the paneer naan because we are all naan addicts. We also got 2 orders of the chicken curry, the chicken vindaloo and the chicken tandoori (boneless). Always, ALWAYS get chicken on the bone because #1 chickens have bones and #2 if you order it on the bone your gonna get the dark meat which everyone knows is so much better. When the main dishes started to arrive, our server asked us if we wanted to “guess” what it was he was bringing. We all enjoyed this and I got it wrong but it was fun none the less. Only one, small, kinda, what the hell moment. We all love curry, love it and the spawn asked if we could get just a small bowl of curry sauce to dip the naan in. Unfortunately the answer was no but that didn’t deter from the meal. The chicken tandoori was a spicy bastard. Spicier then I have ever had before. I don’t recall chicken tandoori being really spicy at, plus it was white meat which in my mind detracted from the dish. Good though overall. The chicken vindaloo was loaded with chicken and was probably the sauciest of the group. The chicken curry was good but could of used a bit more sauce in everyone’s opinion. The good far outweighed the not so good and we all decided that we wanted to come back for the buffet where we can load up on all the sauce we wanted. A good experience in a very enjoyable setting on the south side. You may want to stop reading here. Ok, you’ve been warned. Indian food is like draino for my colon. You know that green lemon lime crap they have you drink before a colonoscopy? Indian food has the same effect on me. It’s so delicious going in though that is it is worth the pain of it’s later evacuation. You only live once. Eat Indian.

Caroline Street Café & Catering – Menu with Prices – 4828 Southpoint Pkwy, Fredericksburg

WOW, I cannot say enough amazing things about Chef Shane and his team at Caroline Street Catering! We asked a lot of them and we received everything we wanted and more. We asked Chef Shane to create a menu of Korean food based on recipes and tasting tweaks while also incorporating some of his creative additions and a small portion of outside food. The food exceeded our expectations and our guests would not stop raving about the meal! We were told by multiple people that our wedding food was the best they have had at a wedding. On top of that, the service on the day of was exceptional. My husband and I kept hearing that we would not eat much on our wedding day so we should try to fit some snacks in. Let me tell you, this was not the case. A couple servers kept checking on us specifically to make sure we were fed and got to taste everything. We were brought cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres while we were taking photos and served a huge dish during dinner. Guests commented on the how lovely the servers and bartenders were and we were so pleased to hear that the excellent service was not just for us. Chef Shane was so easy to work with and we could trust that he would deliver every step of the way. We are so happy with our decision to hire Caroline Street Catering and I have full confidence they would make any other couple happy as can be on their wedding day!!!

TruFusion South Austin Menu with Prices 4211 S Lamar Blvd, Austin

TruFusion is it. In a city where everyone looks like a gosh dang fit Lululemon model, it can easily get discouraging to connect with a gym and the trainers here, but I found it with Tru. I first joined the gym in July and have been just about everyday, (sometimes two-a-days!) when work travel isn’t conflicting with my schedule. The classes are difficult, but the instructors have made me feel so comfortable, welcomed, and encouraged. Here’s the why to my 5 star: Women Empowerment I have to recommend my favorite instructors: Dalia, Katie Rose, and Katia for Barefoot Bootcamp, Ride, and Pilates. It’s apparent that these women truly care about the work that they deliver. What I appreciate most is that they’ll walk around class and help you with your form to ensure you’re getting the best out of your workout, and most importantly, aren’t hurting yourself. I have to show extra love to Dalia; she has been so kind during my fitness journey and has always found ways for me to connect (and listen!) to my body. She’s truly one of the most encouraging trainers I’ve met, who has actively helped me reach my goals. Cheesy or not, I’m stronger mentally and physically because of her guidance. A quote she’s said during class that will forever resinate with me, “While you may not be able to do something today, you will in the future. And that’s okay.” (Guess which thick mamacita can do burpees nowwwww?!?!) Community Tru is focused on building community within their members so they actively greet when you walk in and get to know you. I’ve had employees I didn’t even know call me by name and ask not only how classes have been but how ~I~ have been. I have also met some of my closest friends here and we’ll coordinate our schedules to go to the same classes. Feedback This team is always listening to feedback and will adjust accordingly. Music too loud? Great. they’ll lower it. Classes get full too quickly? Perfect, they’ve added more classes. Cycling shoes to buy? They’re working on it ? If I could provide a nudge… is that I’d love the ability to reserve a spot for class. I get anxiety driving through downtown traffic in hopes that I get to a class before it fills up. Phew. I could write more but I’ve gotta drive to my next class.

By The Blade – Menu with Prices – 43473 Boscell Rd, Fremont

Johnny Na’s haircut suite is located in the Pacific Commons Plaza in between Home Goods and Jo-Anns. While you’ll see a building that says Salons by JC, there is in fact several suites with hair/nail salons inside. His suite is #15. I arrived a little early to my 11:30 am appointment and wasn’t sure if I was in the right location at first, but quickly found out after walking inside that I was in the right place. I will be honest. While my appointment was at 11:30 am, Johnny was late by 30 minutes. I guess I was his first appointment for the day and â??he was coming in from Dublin which had traffic. I would say that I’m a pretty patient person and was more understanding after he had informed me through text that he was running late. When Johnny finally arrived, he looked a little flustered and I was a little worried at that point because I wasn’t sure if he would be able to deliver a nice haircut under stress from the traffic. I reassured him that it was fine and I showed him a picture I had found on pinterest. I asked for his honest opinion and whether the hairstyle would suit my face structure and shape and he was able to provide me with feedback. He started to cut away and once I saw him getting into his groove, I was confident that he would do a good job. Johnny is not only a hair stylist that is meticulous and detail oriented, he is also very personable. During my haircut, we chatted about life and food. It made the experience a lot better. My younger sister came with me and she mentioned that my haircut took a little over 1.5 hours!!! I’ve never had someone spend so much time on my hair. I was so surprised, but it really does show. I also would like to mention that it was also my first time getting my hair shampooed and washed. I believe the service is included with the starting haircut price, but don’t quote me. It was so relaxing and made me feel pampered. LOL I also have fine Asian hair and I grew it super long for my wedding. He was able to give me a short haircut that framed my face well. In the end, I was very happy with the turn out of my haircut. While I will say that Johnny’s haircuts are not cheap, you are paying for the quality of the haircut and service that he provides. I only cut my hair every 1 to 1.5 years, so spending a little more to have someone do a thorough job means a lot. Although pictures don’t do my hair justice, it really turned out great! I love it and so did my husband when he saw it in person! Thank you, Johnny!! I may have found my new hair stylist! ? P.S – a week has passed and my hair still looks so good! Even though Johnny had showed me ways to style my hair, little does he know that I’m a pretty low maintenance gal and his haircut for me was effortless. No work needed and I still get compliments from people! ?
